Date: Thu, Aug 4, at 12:PMSubject: [redacted] Chargeback.docTo: [redacted] @myRevdex.com.orgDear [redacted] :? In the interim, [redacted] has charged back $against his credit card, and enclosed is our detailed response to that case.? Obviously, until this matter is settled between [redacted] ***, MoveAmerica, and the credit card issuing agency any response from MoveAmerica is superfluous, since [redacted] has already unilaterally removed $from his paymentJuly 22, [redacted] PO Box ***Hagerstown, MD [redacted] CASE NUMBERS [redacted] , ***, AND [redacted] copies enclosedRe: ? [redacted] ***Cardholder asserts merchant (MoveAmerica) did not provide servicesThis is clearly not true.MoveAmerica arranges transportation for customer loaded or third party loaded shipments.Once on March 27th and three times on April 27, 2016, cardholder [redacted] obtained internet quotes from MoveAmerica for a MoveAmerica two-trailer move from Meridian, ID [redacted] to West Fargo, ND [redacted] varying in price from $to $9577.00, wherein he requested varying combinations of options including with and without loaders and with and without days of storage for one trailer.Typical MoveAmerica moves are contained in one foot long trailer; ? [redacted] requested a quote for two trailers, or feet of trailer space? MoveAmerica quotes its services per trailerFor convenience MoveAmerica quoted $for the transportation charges of both trailers together? Any reconsignment, storage, or any other trailer specific accessorial charges applied to each trailer. On the same day, April 27, [redacted] ***, in conversation with a MoveAmerica sales representative, selected MoveAmerica quote # [redacted] and entered into a Reservation Agreement with MoveAmerica based on that quote in the amount of $6231.17.The Reservation Agreement provided as follows:Transportation for two trailers: ? $Pads - $for pads + $s&hEstimated storage of days @ $50/day/trailer; max $per month/trailerStraps ?" each; $50Total: ? $6231.17Also on April 27th, [redacted] paid MoveAmerica $by [redacted] credit card which at that point left him with a zero balance, and up to this point there was no dispute. The problem arose because, without informing MoveAmerica, [redacted] decided to change the destination for both of the trailers from the quoted destination of West Fargo, ND to Jamestown, ND; approximately miles distant. The Reservation Agreement was for MoveAmerica to provide transportation services between Meridian, ID and West Fargo, ND for the quoted priceBy changing the destination after it was loaded, [redacted] incurred a tariff mandated “reconsignment charge” of $for each trailer (a total of $691.26) due to the additional mileage and warehouse handling incurredThis charge is the basis of [redacted] ***’s dispute.According to [redacted] ***, he admitted that he told the driver for the trucking company (a separate company arranged by MoveAmerica) of the address change, but never communicated this vital information to MoveAmerica’s office so we could determine what the difference in charges would be BEFORE [redacted] ***’s shipment left Meridian, ID? It was not until both trailers arrived at the terminal servicing West Fargo, ND(not the terminal servicing Jamestown, ND) that [redacted] informed MoveAmerica of the address change.? [redacted] admitted that he never contacted MoveAmerica to convey the change in destination city.As an aside, [redacted] could have gone on-line at any time to MoveAmerica’s website at https://www.moveamerica.com, selected View and Update My Reservation, and changed the destination address? This would have alerted MoveAmerica of the change instantly.MoveAmerica provided the two trailers which [redacted] loaded and the trailers were picked up on May 16th for transportation to destinationNo damage was noted at destination after the shipment was delivered to [redacted] ***’s new homeSigned dock receipts enclosed[redacted] maintains that he should not be charged any reconsignment charge, since he, according to him, told the driver for the trucking company? However, [redacted] ***’s Reservation Agreement is with MoveAmerica, not MoveAmerica’s subcontractor Old Dominion Freight Lines and ODFL would not have known to transmit this information to MoveAmerica even if it was aware of it.The Terms and Conditions of Shipment are displayed twice for MoveAmerica customers? Once, on the signed Reservation Agreement (signed copy enclosed), and the second time whereupon an email is forwarded to each new customer at time of signing of the Reservation which requests the customers written acknowledgement ? that they received the Reservation Agreement , and have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Shipment and Cancellation ProvisionsPertinent language in the Reservation Agreement and Terms and Conditions of Shipment that the customer acknowledges that they have read and understood state as follows:“If you change your origin or destination point your price may change? WARNING: Check that your zip codes are correct, as MoveAmerica ships zip code to zip code”.“IMPORTANT: It is your responsibility to make sure MoveAmerica has the correct origin and destination zip codes for your move, otherwise extra charges may be assessed.”“If Customer is unable to take immediate delivery of the shipment upon arrival at the destination terminal, Carrier will hold the shipment at the destination terminal free of charge up to business daysIncluded weekends are freeUnless storage is prearranged (see Storage section), subsequent days of trailer detention will be subject to detention fees of $50/day per trailer.”“TARIFFS: All shipments are subject to applicable carriers tariffs, including charges for diversion, equipment detention, and change of destination address.”“INFORMATION FURNISHED: It is Customer's responsibility to INSURE that MoveAmerica has the correct origin and destination zip codes for your move, otherwise extra charges may be assessed” [redacted] acknowledged all of the above by clicking on the associated link which recorded his acknowledgement in the contemporaneous company database logs of customer acknowledgments of acceptance of the Reservation Agreement, incorporated Terms and Conditions of Shipment, and Cancellation Terms. The additional charges for [redacted] ***’s reconsignment were a total $for BOTH trailers, or $per trailer[redacted] was also charged $for storage for BOTH trailers, which was subsequently reduced by MoveAmerica to $1000.00.Before any reductions [redacted] ***’s charges totaled $7,709.88, a difference of $from the charges of $6,prior to the reconsignment of the two trailers. The final reconciled invoice is as follows:Original charges prior to reconsignment: $6231.17Reconsignment charges: $ ? 691.26Storage charges, both trailers $1208.08Packing materials $ ? 243.72Straps $ ? ? 50.00Less: One months storage in original $ (500.00)quoteLess: ? $storage credit $(208.08)Total: $7716.15Payment on 04/$6231.17Balance due: $(amount of chargeback $1478.71)Credit card charge ?" reconsignment $687.84Credit card charge ?" bal due $715.45Credit card charge ?" bal due $75.42Remaining balance $6.27Subsequently, MoveAmerica has also agreed to reduce the packing material charges from $to $164.35, a reduction of $79.37.The $and the $storage credit, less the $balance resulting in a net credit of $will be credited back to [redacted] ***’s credit card.It is clear that the reconsignment charge was a separate, correct charge of $687.84, and the other two charges were in payment of the balance.? [redacted] verbally agreed by telephone conversation with Lauren Schuch, MoveAmerica employee, to charge his credit card on each occasion and to deliver each trailer to the new address he specified? This was done.? In the Reservation Agreement and Terms and Conditions of Shipment [redacted] agrees and authorizes that his credit card could be charged by MoveAmerica for any shipment balances remaining, and these charges were clearly correct and due MoveAmerica at the time they were charged. Therefore, we request that this chargeback be reversed, and that a credit of $be immediately issued to MoveAmerica.Thank you,Howard G

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My attorney told me to get the information for the people that loaded my stuff I'm bakersfield! Bruce isn't reaponding to any phone calls he says that it isn't him even on his direct cell phone number! You leave a voice Mail and he doesn't respondLauren was contacting the loaders in bakersfield on their cell phone while they were at my house so she has the information! Also what is being done about the loaders cost that you in a email said that I would speak directly with Move America about? Lauren said she was working on it and that was months ago! Still nothingThis claim may be between me and the loaders but as a company that cares about their customers this should have never happened I shouldn't have been told that you were going to make it right and you were filing a claim and it was going to be taken care of! Then once you realize that they screwed me you said your hands were tied and you stopped responding or helping me! The least you could do is give me back my money that I paid move America for the loadersYou guys made profit off of all of my damaged furniture which was over $14,in damage that I have to replace on top of me paying Move America over $7,000! From: Howard G [redacted] Date: Fri, Nov 20, at 1:PMSubject: Revdex.com [redacted] To: [redacted] @myRevdex.com.orgDear [redacted] : Thank you for forwarding over the complaint of [redacted] , to which we would like to respond as follows: MoveAmerica arranges, where available, transportation services to points and places within the United States We also arrange loaders and/or unloaders as a service to our customers, but screen them very carefully and do not guarantee their availability Availability of loaders and unloaders may fluctuate based on geographic area, date, time, experience, licensing, insurance, bonding, and reputationIn [redacted] s case, the destination was Kalispell, MTwhich is a very remote area where quality loaders and unloaders are difficult to obtain However, in point of fact MoveAmerica was able to arrange quality unloaders for the estimated delivery date, and MoveAmerica did reserve them for that dateUnfortunately, [redacted] did not follow the instructions given him to contact MoveAmerica to coordinate his delivery date, and elected to contact the trucking company terminal directly to arrange delivery for September 30th, This was not the estimated delivery date, so unloaders were unavailable for the date [redacted] arranged with the trucking company If he had coordinated his delivery with MoveAmerica, as instructed in the MoveAmerica Reservation and Helpful Moving Hints, unloaders would have been availableHowever, on the date [redacted] selected, they were notNow when we say unloaders were unavailable, that does not mean that “people” were not available [redacted] quickly found “people” to unload his shipment through Craigslist, and wanted MoveAmerica to hire them MoveAmerica is extremely careful to only hire loaders and/or unloaders from companies who meet or exceed our standards, including experience, insurance, license, bonding, and references We declined to hire the [redacted] people and assume responsibility for them, since they were complete unknowns to MoveAmerica [redacted] took that chance, but we could not [redacted] was always welcome to hire his own loaders or unloaders, utilize friends, neighbors, or relatives to help him, or do it himself In point of fact, MoveAmerica did arrange loaders for [redacted] We did not charge [redacted] for unloaders, which came at a financial cost to MoveAmerica since if we had hired the [redacted] people we would have made a profitThus we suggested that [redacted] hire them directly, which he did, and regret that we could not and assume responsibility for inexperienced, unlicensed, uninsured, and unbonded people against any potential loss, damage, or claimMoveAmerica sincerely regrets any inconvenience to [redacted] , and while not admitting any liability offers [redacted] $as a customer service credit in settlement of this issueThank you, Howard G***PresidentMoveAmerica [redacted]

MoveAmerica provides access to space on motor carriers throughout the United States Customers are responsible for determining the amount of space desired, properly peparing the shipment for transit, loading the shipment, and unloading Measurements are made by the trucking company after the shipment is loaded Customers are advised to supervise any loaders or unloaders hired by customer during the loading process[redacted] purchased a space 4' long by 8' wide by feet high, hired her own loaders, and proceeded to load the shipment She took a picture of the space used by her, which can easily be seen to be eight feet since the vertical bars are inch apart and there are six of them (96/= feet)However, [redacted] insisted she only used feet and refused to pay the amount due At this point MoveAmerica asked the trucker to provide pictures of the completed load, which ALSO prove the use of feet of space.Even after the shipment arrived, [redacted] held to this position She demanded delivery and accused MoveAmerica of holding her shipment "hostage" even though she would not pay the bill Ultimate [redacted] agreed to pay the charges as initially stated, signed a complete release, and accepted delivery of the shipment. After looking at the pictures of the shipment as loaded, it was very clear to MoveAmerica staff that the shipment was poorly loaded by a crew the customer hired and supervised MoveAmerica considers this episode closed, and while admits no liability agrees to offer [redacted] $for any inconvenience she may have experienced.Howard G***PresidentMoveAmerica

Dear ***:I carefully checked the sequence of events with Lauren, the [redacted] Operations Manager to confirm the version of events I stated.? Lauren, who spoke to you many times during the course of coordinating your move, confirms my comments as follows:1.? You called her during? the loading phase of the move and complained that your wife did not like the loaders for unspecified reasons2.? She stated you mentioned you might get your own church people to help with the loading3.? The foreman of the loading company (U-Haul) spoke to you and your wife and was told everything was fine4.? Lauren spoke to you again and you confirmed that everything was fine with the loading, and that you were happy with the cost5.? At the very end of the loading job, you once again confirmed everything was fine with the loading job, so we released payment to the loading crew.? You gave the loaders a tip! 6.? You called her later that day and informed her that at the end of the load, your help showed up and restacked some things, according to you more "efficiently." This was after our crew was finished, we paid them, and you tipped them.Obviously there is a substantial difference between the events related by you and the timeline provided by Lauren.? I do notice that you stated Lauren said everything went smoothly.? What I cannot reconcile is why would you keep a crew you maintained did a terrible job until after they finished working and [redacted] released their paymentAnd why would you tip them?? Now you maintain they did such a bad job that you should be refunded $or at least $952?? I regret your distress but clearly it was not expressed to either [redacted] or the crew while the events were occurring.? Nothing about damage to walls or damage to furniture.? Nothing about any problems whatsoever.? As a gesture of goodwill I am willing to offer $100, but I still do not see where you have made a case that [redacted] did anything wrong in any way that I can see

The lady on the line stated they had no one in the Kalispell areaBeing new to the area and not knowing anyone,we would not have refused extra time to find unloaders.Move America seems to be a 3rd Party company that just coordinates moves using other companies and charges a premium for coordinating those companies with the customer's move requirementsMove America failed and should never have accepted our business and should not receive any profit on this type of mistakeMove America is unwelling to admit they made a mistake and is trying to blame the customer Regards, [redacted]

Hired Move America to relocate $20K in personal belongings from Philadelphia PA to Moscow ID, 11/2-5/Initially, the contract was messed up and had to be redone several times due to change in estimatesIn the process, we received other customers' contracts--sent to me by the owner himself, Howard G [redacted] Makes me wonder how many others inadvertently saw our personal information? We inquired about insurance and was assured that if we prepared/packed our furniture and items properly, that all would be wellOur contract included insurance based on a percentage of the overall value of the entire shipmentAlso we were told that their trucking company provides insurance as well leaving us to believe we were double coveredNot the case! Our trailer arrived on 11/10/after several calls had to be made over two days to the coordinator, who had no idea where our trailer wasWe were expecting the trailer to arrive on 11/6/because the company pretty much guaranteed 4-day delivery, point to pointThe truck driver never mentioned signing any form for insuranceJust signed and dated the form for confirmation of deliveryOnce we started unloading the trailer, discovered that just about every item on the trailer had been damagedIt was impact damage as if the truck had been in an accident or collision Every piece of furniture, despite being bubble wrapped and packed in thick blankets had significant damageExpensive mirrors shattered! The items on this trailer were everything MrC [redacted] ownedWe had the dresser mirror repaired as well as other items and have those receipts, if neededOn 12/3/15, within the 30-day window for filing claims, according to our contract, we filed a claim with Move AmericaTo date, we have heard nothing! At that time, we also filed a claim with O [redacted] D [redacted] TruckingThey quickly denied the claim because we had not filled out the "proper paperwork" with the driversThere were items broken that cannot be replaced or repairedThe damages come to a total amount of $1,Of these damages, we fairly requested $To replace the bedroom set alone (because most of the damage cannot be repaired) would be $4,500! Again, to date, we have received nothing, nothing, nothing:( I have never worked with such an unprofessional, uncaring, ripoff of a company in my lifeEpic fail on all levels! Based on all the other reviews I've read about this company, anyone considering Move America should avoid this company entirely!

The company in Bakersfield was hired by [redacted] , that is, [redacted] Lauren will check to see if she has any information regarding the actual loadersIf she has anything we will immediately forward it to you The responsible party is, in your case, [redacted] of [redacted] The loaders were hired by him to load your trailer. We might suggest writing to [redacted] , or having your attorney write or call him to try to resolve this matterMoveAmerica has not been able to establish any communication with [redacted] .MoveAmerica will assist you in any way we can with resolving this issue.Best regards,Howard G***PresidentMoveAmerica

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] ? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: we never received anything about the policyThe items were blanket wrappedThe paintings were not on the floor and we did follow procedureWe also contacted them in August once we received our items and not in DecemberThat is when they finally responded to process our requestI have email and photo evidence of this.? Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me However, I must receive the $promised before I'm willing to consider this case satisfied and closedAs of 8/I have not received the $promised Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] arranges transportation services for customers with a third party carrier, in this case [redacted] *** [redacted] is a highly reputable, multi-billion dollar firm with over 14,employees operating out of terminals in the United States[redacted] does not measure customer shipments, and receive measurement information from the third party carrier on which our billing is based. In this case customer is alleging that the trailer is feet long, which affected their charges In fact, ALL such trailers are feet inches long inside It is highly unlikely the Operations Manager would indicate a trailer is feet long since no such trailer exists Viewing the enclosed tape, we see a measurement of feet 1/inches from the bulkhead to the back wall of the trailer, and this is what the trucker based the measurement on ft inches minus feet 1/inches equals twenty (20) feet 1/inches The [redacted] were billed for feet, and are claiming use of only feet According to the terms and conditions of the reservation agreement, ANY measurement over a given footage, i.e., feet one inch could have been charged at feet However, it was not, and was rounded down to the [redacted] benefit.Additionally, [redacted] offerered and in fact PAID to the [redacted] a courtesy reimbursement of $of the $requested, which I do not see mentioned anywhere in the complaint We also indicated that if the trucker was willing to revise the billing to feet based on their remeasurement, we would pass that along to the [redacted] However, the trucker was not willing to lower the billing to feet, stating the measurement clearly indicated the use of feet (and more), with which we concur based on the facts The [redacted] were well aware of our payment to them of $well PRIOR to the filing of this complaint.Regarding any alleged failure to communicate, the [redacted] clearly indicated on several occasions they were having cell phone connection problems and they may not have received our multiple calls to them.We regret any inconvenience to the [redacted] , however, since we have already offered and paid out a reasonable settlement, and our clear impression was this was satisfactory unless remeasurement by the carrier reduced the invoice, we consider the matter closed.Thank you,Howard G***President [redacted]

Attn: Revdex.comWe now agree that our customer [redacted] is absolutely correct in stating that the damage was caused by water leaking into the trailer from the roof, and not from any deficiency in preliminary packing or loading of the trailer.Evidently that was the basis of the trucker's offer to [redacted] in excess of the liability limit of $per pound. Clearly the carrier settled your claim on that basis, and we are awaiting receipt of the $check so we can forward it on to [redacted] .Please accept my apology for any confusion regarding that point. I regret that I was not aware of the trailer leak prior to my previous response.Sincerely,Howard G***PresidentMoveAmerica

I dispute this and do not considered ? this matter closedI will be filing a small claims suit with the help of a lawyerThe owner can expect documents within a monthI expected nothing more from ? this man based on his previous reponses tro customers.Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted] ?
