Review: In a recent review of my credit report,[redacted], I noticed derogatory information from said business. Interestingly, I am unfamiliar with said business; and, I NEVER received any notification from business of an outstanding debt or whom they are collecting for. Pursuant to the [redacted], as a consumer, I am afforded the opportunity to dispute ANY alleged debt prior to the reporting of any derogatory information to the credit bureaus. Unfortunately, this did not happen. Hence, I believe this business in direct violation of the [redacted].Desired Settlement: Due to violations of the[redacted], I DEMAND the IMMEDIATE removal of this account from my credit report. As the holder of a Top Secret Clearance and a victim of identity theft, it is imperative to keep my credit current. Presently, I am unemployed; and, my employment prospects continue to be impeded with derogatory reporting such as accounts like this.

Review: I was told by one of the customer service representatives that due to my account being a 0.00 balance I could fax a signed form and that a deletion of the collection item from my credit report would be done. This was never done, and it is adversely affecting my credit report.Desired Settlement: Deletion of collection item from experian and equifax credit reports immediately.

April 12, 2016[redacted]Revdex.com720 Moorefield Park Drive, Suite 300Richmond, VA 23236Dear Ms. [redacted]:This is in regards to case number [redacted] for [redacted] Upon review of Mr. [redacted] account, Receivables Management Systems (RMS) has received his request to have this account remove from his credit report. Review: I contacted the company to settle my debt with [redacted]. I informed the representative that I wanted to settle for the original bill of $133 and I was making that payment in full. The representative informed me that their company does not settle any claims and that they only take full payments. When I asked how did the payment jump from $133 to $218 (a new amount up from $186) I was informed that I am being charged $.06 interest daily. I stated that many collection agencies settle for the original debt and I was making that payment I was told I would still have a balance of over $100. I believe the quote was $112. Which would not be accurate it would be $85. If I am making a good faith effort to pay my medical bill why would I not be able to settle the original balance and maybe $20-$40 for being sent to collections. I don't agree with being charged $.06 a day for it being in collections. The representative stated there will not be a settlement, agreed to take my payment of $133 and said it would be processed and my account will continue to have a balance. He made no attempts to settle the account.Desired Settlement: I would like to know my rights with regards to settling this debt without the added fees especially the interest. If need be who else can I speak to with regards to the way this collection agency and [redacted] handle consumers debts. I would also like for this debt to be considered paid in full and posted updated on my credit report and a letter sent directly to me stating paid in full.Thank you

The collection agency sending me paperwork does not solve the issue. If the collection agency is a private company and make decisions for themselves the paperwork from [redacted] does not resolve the problem. If they are submitting paperwork in lieu of addressing my concern does not solve the problem.

Review: I took my son to "[redacted]"...and paid the so-called deductible. My ex-husband is a retired Marine and was told by the receptionist that I only owed $15.00 for the visit and they would forward the bill to [redacted] and my ex-husband (who is responsible for "all" my child's medical payments), this is in the divorce decree...I received a bill from the subjected company for a balance of $125.55 - I already paid [redacted] $85.51 via their internet system...the later receive a bill from this company stating I owed $40.04. I tried calling and of course no one answers and put on hold and no one comes to the phone for 30 plus minutes of waiting. I don't know how or where they get his information. The bill is not mine. I paid to "stop" the harassing phone calls and abundance of mail...Desired Settlement: Stop emailing and calling me...fix this...I owe this company...Nothing...they are trying to get money for "nothing"...I paid [redacted]!

Review: I contacted RMS after I was notified about an account in collections, I called immediately and made the payment. I acced the receptionist (Im assuming that was her position) if I could have a receipt emailed to me for my record, she said no they don't do that. I then asked her if she could fax it, again she told me no they do that. I then explained to her that I need a receipt for my records she then said okay well I can print you out the receipt from my screen and mail it to and you will have it by next week. This was prior to it being a holiday week so that gave the letter about 2 weeks more than enough time to arrive. She proceeded to then rush me off the phone and I had to stop her and request my payment confirmation number as well as my receipt number, it took her almost 10 minutes to provide this information (even though it was on her screen) Fast forward almost two weeks later, I have not received my letter, I called today and the same receptionist answered the phone, I gave her my information and let her know that I was inquiring on the status of my mailed receipt. She she finally pulled up my information and remembered me she informed me that she had not mailed my receipt and was not going to do so, and then informed me that she was not. I reminded her that she told me that she was going to mail the letter and that I should have it by a certain day and that it was very inconvenient and unprofessional, but she then became very rude, and had an attitude, then tried to flip blame on me as to why I didn't have a receipt going into how long the account was in collections and that I had a year to pay this account off and how she doesn't see how it matters now and Ill be fine without it. I explained to her that the length of time I had to pay the account is besides the fact because the account is paid and I am entitled to my receipt and for my credit to be accurately updated She was not helpful, rude and a liar.Desired Settlement: I would like a formal apology for my terrible experience with this receptionist, I would also like my receipt mailed to me in a timely fashion if not expedited. I also want my credit report updated with the account information as it pertains to RMS.

Review: I contacted RMS by phone and spoke with '[redacted]' regarding outstanding collection fees. I faxed the letter below to manager Joe Matisse @ RMS on 3/15/16. It was acknowledged as received and Joe has neglected to return my voicemail messages left on March 16, 17, 22, 25, and 31. Here's the letter.

Joe M[redacted]

Receivables Management Systems [redacted]

Tuesday, March 8, 2016

Good day.

I am writing you to dispute interest fees charged to me for outstanding medical expenses from 2001.

I spoke with your representative [redacted] on Friday, March 4, 2016 regarding these charges and was notified of the following:

• $92.05 in Medical Insurance charges incurred in February 2001 via [redacted] were written off as bad debt in July 2001 ([redacted]).

• Letters and telephone calls regarding these charges were supposedly delivered to us until 2005. Neither my wife nor I have any recollection of these contacts.

• The telephone number you have on file (804-673-4919) has not been in use since 2006.

• No further communication with us has taken place since 2005, yet your organization has continued to charge interest against us, totaling $240.82

The only reason I discovered this charge was when visiting [redacted] on February 28, 2016. I was barred from seeing a doctor for bronchitis until I paid off these charges. Had I never returned to [redacted] I am astounded to think this charge have continued to accrue interest into eternity.

I find it unacceptable that your organization has a business practice of charging interest on bad debt with no good faith effort attempt at notification during the past eleven years.

I am willing to accept that interest on these charges that accrued during your attempted contact up to 2005. By my calculations, that is $31.03. I expect a credit of the remaining balance of $209.79. In addition, I require documentation of the letters and telephone contact attempts made through 2005.Desired Settlement: Refund of my $210, and hardcopy documentation of all written and telephonic outreach attempts by RMS through 2005.

Response:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action is inaccurate as they have confirmed receipt of my fax letter in March 2016. As such I have disputed the charge with [redacted] and will take up payment of outstanding debts directly with [redacted].

Review: I received a letter in the mail from RMS claiming I owe $71.93 to [redacted]. A principal amount of $31.37 and "other" fees totaling $40.56. I replied within 30 days with a debt validation request, which was received by RMS on 05/07/2015. On 05/29/2015, I received a letter dated 05/21/2015 labeled "Notice of credit bureau notification" from RMS stating I had 10 days to fulfill the amount or my information would be reported to credit bureau. At this point, my debt validation letter had not been responded to. I called RMS on 05/29/2015 and spoke with Jewel B[redacted] ([redacted]) who advised me the account was in dispute and that the documentation I requested was being obtained and my validation letter was received. On 07/15/2015, I received a credit notification (Equifax) of a new collection account in the amount of $71.93 from RMS. I placed a call to RMS at 4:00 P.M. on 07/15/2015 seeking information as to why my debt validation request was not responded to and why the account was reported to the credit bureau. I was told that nobody was available to help me and that I would need to leave a voicemail for "Joe" and was promised a call back immediately. At 6:30 p.m. I placed another call requesting to speak with Joe. After being connected with Joe, he confirmed that the account was forwarded to the credit bureau on 07/13/2015, that my debt validation request was received on 05/07/2015, and that a letter was sent to me dated 05/26/2015, acknowledging receipt of my debt validation request. Joe then asked me if I was willing to pay the principal amount of $31.37. In doing so, he would send me a letter saying the debt was satisfied and request that it be removed from my credit report. I declined the offer as I was still unaware of the debt and its validity. I politely asked Joe for his full name and he declined to help me any further and disconnected the phone call. Reporting without responding to my validation request is a violation of § 809. B of the Fair Debt Collection Act.Desired Settlement: Deletion of the account from my credit report.

Response:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I am in receipt of the debt validation provided by RMS on 07/29/2015; however, I submitted a timely debt validation request that was received by RMS on 05/07/2015. The validation request initiates a collection bar until validation is provided per FDCP 809.B. Collection attempts were made by RMS on 05/29/2015 (a letter demanding payment within 10 days) and the subsequent reporting of the account to third parties on 07/13/2015. The only way I will consider this matter closed is the deletion of the account from credit reporting agencies and no further collection attempts.

Review: I have called THREE time about account [redacted] and no one will send me a paid in full receipt. They continue to send me past due notices even though the amount has been paid in full for several weeks. I can never get through to anyone to help get me my receipt mailed to me. I have only spoken with a representative the ONE time they called to request payment, which I paid right there on the phone. You should be appalled and embarrassed at yourselves for failing to handle such sensitive issues properly.

My address changed and I had no idea my medical bill was not covered by insurance. I paid the bill immediately and they still charged me the $40 fee even though the account was past due through no fault of my own. Everyone beware of this company. They are terrible and you will have to call several times just to get records that your account is paid. The people that work here are is.Desired Settlement: I want my paid in full receipt mailed to me like you promised weeks ago. Stop sending me past due notices with interest added to the bill - do your job like everyone else does you iss.

Review: Receivables Management Systems continued collection activity while ignoring my request for debt validation.

Receivables Management Systems has also ignored my requests for an explanation of the charges. This collection agency even ignored a written request that was delivered on 8/31/15. I was told that the total due was 1358.31 but when I paid the bill I was told that the amount was 1395.35. Because they refuse to provide any itemized statement, I feel like this is a scam. I paid the bill not because I believe I owe it but because it is on my credit report. Now that it has been paid it is STILL on my credit report showing as OPEN and UNPAID.Desired Settlement: I want this account removed IMMEDIATELY from all 3 credit bureaus - Equifax, Experian and Transunion.

This is preventing me from moving on with my life.

Review: I spoke to a representative and described that I live in a rural area and sometimes I don't get mail. They informed me they sent several notices about a collection for there client and when I finally did receive a second notice I paid their client the past due invoice. I spoke to a collection specialist on 9/23/15 and told me I was responsible to pay the collection agency. Their client hired them and in order to verify I received any notice by them they should send notices by registered mail. They didn't agree. I called again on 9/24/ 15 and spoke to a different representative who hung up while I was explaining the registered mail part of my complaint. Called back again and was told if I had problems with their bill to write a letter to their office.Desired Settlement: Should not have to pay the agency for not properly notifying me of a past due invoice.

I'm 58 years old, I've contacted [redacted], whom Receivables Management Systems accused me of owing and years ago I confirmed that I didn't owe them anything. Review: Received phone message from RMS collection agency on 6/20/14 regarding collections account for [redacted] The following day, 6/21/14, I received 2 bills from [redacted] showing late fees for services provided 0n 2/15/14. I do owe the original bill amount for services received, but I did not receive a bill until 6/21, a day after receiving notice from a collection agency. I called RMS on 6/23. RMS claimed envelopes were returned from post office - did not know what address it was sent to. However I did receive 2 prior statement from [redacted] after the RMS collection call (note: RMS is the collections agency [redacted] uses). While RMS admitted that I did not receive the bills due to unknown wrong address, I was still responsible for late fees - if I paid over phone they would waive the collection fees. They then gave me until July 20 to pay less collection fee, but I would have to write a letter to 'request' the late fees be waived. The supervisor, [redacted], "guessed" it would take "maybe a week or more" after my check cleared to determine if the late fees would be waived. Following this I called [redacted]. [redacted] admitted they did not have the proper address on the returned statements, hence the reason I did not receive them. However, I'm still having to request a waiver to pay for something they did not properly address. RMS became belligerent on the phone.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a letter from RMS stating the error was a result of their client's incorrect addressing of bills, and that all late fees and collection charges be waived, as well as stating that this will not appear on any credit reporting and/or adversely affect my credit or any other reports or agencies. I am paying the original bill, which I never disputed, just needed to receive a bill - which was not received until 6/21, after collections notification.

Regards,

Review: Last year I received treatment for a minor medical issue at a Patient First in Mechanicsville, Va. I believe the treatment involved some testing that was not subsequently reimbursed by insurance, so Patient First billed me afterward for the amount in excess.I believe I received my first notice from Patient First in October, shortly after we moved to a new house, so if they sent an earlier bill it might have gone to the old address (I don't remember when the original treatment occurred). In any event, I did not have the money to pay right away, but paid the full amount -- actually, a little bit more than the full amount -- via Patient First's Web site in December. Shortly after I made that payment, I received a collection notice from Receivables Management Systems for the full amount I originally owed Patient First, plus a collection fee.Receivables Management Systems continues to insist I owe them the collection fee, even though I had paid Patient First directly prior to my receipt of [redacted] first collection notice. In my experience, if payment has been made prior to receipt of a collection notice, the collection notice (and any related fees) may be disregarded.I have also contacted Patient First, and it claims that I had signed an agreement to pay any subsequent collection fees when I first obtained treatment from them. I have asked for documentation of said agreement several months ago, but have yet to receive it. In any event, I don't think my obligation would apply to paying a collection fee for a balance I had paid before receiving the first collection notice -- and which had been paid directly to the business itself, without any routing through the collection agency itself.Thank you very much for your time.Desired Settlement: I request cancellation of the collection fee and any interest amount the fee that the collection agency claims has accrued since it has been attempting collection.

I've tried to resend that check at least 6 different times to no avail. I receive this email from my bank each time the check sent from them has not been cashed and is returned into my account. Regards,

Horrible customer service.
I called to ask a GENERAL question, AFTER my account was paid in full regarding credit reporting and "JR" was absolutely RUDE.
This place is terrible.

I actually had a positive experience! I was nervous about calling because I saw that I had a collection against me on my credit score from 7 years ago and I had no clue what it was! I called up and the guy (**) was totally friendly and helped me figure out what I owed and when the bill was made. Usually people at collection agencies have a rep for being rude (which is why I was scared to call) but he answered the phone in a pleasant manner and kept a polite tone with me the entire time which was very reassuring because debt is a scary thing! Anyways, thanks ** for making my first experience with debt a not-so-scary one!

Review: On April 3, 2015, I found Receivables Management Services Reporting Adverse Information to My Credit Report. I placed a call to them and spoke with someone who was very rude to me. I never received any kind of notice about this or any invoice or Itemized Billing from Receivables Management. I was turned down for a loan, I really needed, this adverse information on my credit report, is now causing me hardship. I am asking Receivables Management to remove this information off my credit report immediately or I will file a lawsuit against them for not properly notifying me as per PA Code. We have laws in PA and if you were to check you will see in the PA Code you Must provide notification (Right of Due Process) That was not provided and an Itemized Bill Listing services and charges Itemized. Since you have broken these laws and caused me hardship I will seek in district court an amount of no less them $200,000.00 not to include legal fees.Desired Settlement: Remove off my credit report

Response:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This is in response to the business commits. I have not received any information from this company and request that they remove the adverse information off my credit report. The business has broken PA code laws and the PA State Attorney General will be notified if they do not remove the information off my credit report. I request the company's license number also for this reason.

I have not received anything in the mail from this company itemizing charges to me. I have requested them to remove the information off my credit report and they refuse. They have failed to do anything other then damage my credit. I also requested there collection license for the PA State Attorney General complaint.

April 15, 2016[redacted]720 Moorefield Park Drive, Suite 300Richmond, VA 23236Dear Ms. [redacted]:This is in response to case number [redacted] for Ms. [redacted]. Receivables Management Systems (RMS) has reviewed her account and upon Ms. [redacted] request, we have sent information to the original creditor to request documents to support this debt. Upon receipt of this information RMS will send certified mail to the address listed on file.Should you have further questions, please contact our office.Sincerely,Stephanie S[redacted]Administrative Services

RMS first made contact with me on 29NOV2013, stating I had an outstanding balance with [redacted]. I had not received any notices, but was more than happy to pay the full amount RMS specified, while stating if this is paid in full, there would be no further monies owed. I honored the request the same day, then received a bill from RMS stating I needed to pay more (collection fee). I didn't understand why I was being asked to pay more, although the Rep stated I only owed the amount specified on 29NOV2013. I started recording my conversations with RMS and [redacted], at which time [redacted] notified me this was not a fee they required, but was being asked from RMS. RMS pointed the finger at [redacted], and [redacted] pointed the finger at RMS. I just needed clarity as to what I was paying, who I was paying it too, and who was asking for payment of this fee; and this was specified in NOV2013. I spoke with a disrespectful Rep from RMS with an [redacted] Rep on the line 10FEB2014. I also informed the RMS Rep he was being recorded several times, but he continued to speak to me in an unprofessional manner, and did not care that he was being recorded, therefore leading me to believe he doesn't care with whom I share this recording. I am contemplating sharing the recording with *-on-your-side, and other social networks/News outlets. Although I did receive a clear answer from the Manager (who specified the Rep who contacted me in NOV2013 should have also included the fee at that moment), good customer service from her and good customer service from the other Rep; I believe his astonishing behavior outweighs the good I did experience. One bad seed spoils the whole bunch, and that bad seed needs to be removed before this happens!
