Receivables Management Systems Reviews (51)

Review: I contacted [redacted] at Receivables management late 2013 and explained to her that the two accounts I had with them were sent by [redacted] due to an error with my Insurance billing. I decided to pay the accounts ([redacted] and [redacted]) because she said after paying in full, I could get them deleted from my credit. Having a collection account on my credit (whether paid or unpaid) was hindering me from advancing in my career. After paying the account in FULL, I sent [redacted] a letter as she requested asking that the accounts be deleted from my credit report. I called back after 3 weeks and she said it was under review. It has been over 3 months and Receivables Management has not responded or deleted the accounts as promised.Desired Settlement: I want Receivables Management to delete the accounts from my reports as they promised.

Re:[redacted]

Dear [redacted]:

This is a response by Receivables Management Systems related to the above referenced case number. Our office recently received notice of a complaint filed with your office by [redacted]. The related accounts have been paid and were closed in January, 2014 at which time we contacted the credit bureaus and request the item be removed from [redacted] credit record. Unfortunately, Receivables Management Systems cannot control the speed at which the credit bureau updates their files. We have contacted them again to insure this process is completed. No further action can be taken.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Review: On March 3, 2014 I wrote to ask if RMS can please remove the late pay from my credit report and report this as paid in full as soon as possible. Because of an unintended disconnect in billing, I was unaware of a balance past due to [redacted] and only found out when I went for a visit last month (Feb 10, 2014). At that time, I paid the bill in full, including late fees and the fees associated with Receivables Management. I didn’t find out it was reported to [redacted] until I initiated a loan application. This is the only negative notation on my credit. I asked that they please call or email to let me know the status and have received neither, although I was promised a letter twice. I checked my credit report again and RMS did report the account as paid to the Credit Bureau but will not remove the late pay. I have called several times to request this and am treated with disrespect each time. The associates will also not allow me to talk to a manager to discuss. Again, my credit score was perfect. This was an unintentional bill not paid. I never received a bill, notice or any correspondence from RMS prior to them reporting to the credit bureau so had NO idea I even owed the money. Thanks for your help.Desired Settlement: I would like RMS to remove the late pay from my credit report.

Review: I received service from [redacted] for a medical issue. My account was past due howvever I did pay off the balance prior to receiving a notice from Receivables Management Systems pursuing collections for this. I immediately called RMS to explain that the account had been paid in full and left a message at the extension noted in the letter I received ([redacted] Ext [redacted]). This gentleman did not return my call and I assumed that he had updated his records however yesterday I received a 2nd notice. This one showing my [redacted] account with a zero balance but still showing an amount due to RMS for collections fees of $40.00. The letter states that if the balance is not paid in 10 days that the information will be reported to credit reporting agencies. I again tried to contact [redacted] at RMS. I left another message and have received no response. I do not owe RMS this money and I am unable to contact anyone at this company to resolve this issue. In any event, I don't think my obligation would apply to paying a collection fee for a balance I had paid before receiving the first collection notice -- and which had been paid directly to the business itself, without any routing through the collection agency itself. Thank you very much for your time.Desired Settlement: I request cancellation of the collection fee and any interest amount the fee that the collection agency claims has accrued since it has been attempting collection.

Response:

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I am not satisfied with the companies resolution because the only response they sent back was "We have requested the proper documents from the original creditor for [redacted] and once received we will mail that information to her." I can even tell from that message exactly what they mean.

Regards,

Review: I received bills from Receivables Management Systems stating they were collecting two past due accounts on behalf of [redacted]. I then contacted [redacted] and they had no record of such debts as my insurance company paid the bills. I sent Receivables Management Systems debt validation letters in regards to the account in question to which they never responded. Recently after checking my credit report, I saw that Receivables Management Systems is reporting these two accounts to the credit bureaus. I tried contacting Receivables Management Systems on several occasions with no success. I sent a certified letter to RMS which was received on January 6th 2015 by Joey Noe, President of RMS. On January 13th, Ms. Valarie Johnson sent correspondence stating that they received my certified letter and will be reviewing their records. It has been nearly 45 days since RMS has received my certified letter and they can not validate the two accounts in question. I have also tried contacting RMS through the email provided on their website "[email protected]" however the email address listed on their website is not valid.Desired Settlement: I desire for RMS to stop contacting me and remove the two listings from my credit report as they have never validated the debt. The two bills in question were paid by my insurance company. RMS is illegally trying to collect on a debt.

Review: I have been receiving collection calls regarding an outstanding debt which was included in my bankruptcy. I advised the representative that I spoke with that this was considered an unsecured debt and that if they had any further questions relating to this debt to contact my attorney. I also submitted a copy of my bankruptcy decree along with attorney information via fax. I attempted to contact the agency due to still receiving billing notices and was told if I did not supply information regarding my current personal information, even though I gave them the account number on the letter, they declined to help me. I was told they did not have a legal department and they did not think my bankruptcy would cover this debt due to it being over '10 years old'.Desired Settlement: This amount should be absorbed by my Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing. I should not be receiving billing notices or collections for this amount. The account number is [redacted]. Bankruptcy file date is 01/09/2012; case number [redacted]

Review: On 3/23/2015 I called [redacted] to discuss the to past due amount reported on my credit. I was transferred to a [redacted]. In speaking with her it was discussed that from what I was showing on my credit report I owed $229 one account and $746 on another. In this conversation she informed me that the amounts were more because interest had accrued since then. I then stated to her that if that was the case they should have updated this on my credit report because the amount I am going to deal with is the current credit report I pulled. She wanted to explain to me about how the date that it was reported was 2013 so she would have to deal with the current interest. She started discussing the $229 bill which I learned was for my son and not me and I explained to her he should not have any thing because on the visited that he went to the [redacted] we paid the co-pay that was do and he has double coverage. She went over what the amount was for. I explained to her that it is funny to me I never received a bill for this however, due to it was a while ago I don't even feel like going to the insurance companies to verify anything and wanted to know what the cost was without the interest. She went through that but explained to me that if she offer me a lower amount on this it would be just $211. After going back and forth on this I stated to her I did not want to discuss this account any more lets talk about the $746. She then explained to me how this amount was more too now because of the interest and we started going back and forth on this with her going over the dates of services. I explained to her how I should not owe the charges anyway again because [redacted] should not have billed the way they did. The conversation got a little uptight and she then made the statement that it would be a settlement for both accounts in the amount of $523.61. I do not know how she came up with this amount but I asked her to send it to me it in writing.Desired Settlement: I contacted them by phone on 3/23/2015 and their office is right here in the same city I am in, as a matter of fact based on the physical address I show for them they are really about 3 miles from me. I should have been received the letter stating the debt for both accounts for the amount of the $229 and $746 would be covered and considered paid in full with payment amount of $523.61. I would like for them to send this to me ASAP. If they could email it and mail it I would appreciate it.

Regards,

Review: I just reviewed my credit report and was shocked by what I seen. I am currently trying to purchase my first home and when my credit was reviewed by my broker told me that I would not be able to get the proper financing because of these inaccurate accounts with Receivable Management. I searched deep into my records (I meticulously keep track of all my bills and records) and I cannot find anything showing acceptance of these accounts or ownership. I then requested they provide me with documentation on the accounts both 45 and 90 days ago. As a result they sent me nothing other than a paper with a Receivable Management letter head and 2 print outs that could have been created from a home computer as far as I know. None of the paperwork they sent me proves nothing to show ownership. At this point the inaccurate info has actually prevented me from purchasing a home and missing several good opportunities and as a result hindering me from putting a stable roof over my familys head and food on the table. Not to mention the other times I have been disapproved for credit due to the inaccurate information. These accounts are completely inaccurate and those inaccuracies should not be showing on my credit report. I disputed them on my credit report and even went as far as hiring a company to help me resolve this yet they still remain.I feel completely let down that a prestigious company like this would allow this to happen. They have resulted in repeated denials of credit, lost opportunity to receive credit, economic loss, damage to my reputation, loss of self- esteem, invasion of privacy, interference with my normal and usual activities, and emotional distress. The accounts above are Acct[redacted]Desired Settlement: I consider this defamation and I want this removed from the 3 credit bureaus.

Review: This company reported on my credit that I originally only owed $177 after paying the balance I was then notified that the account has been "collecting daily interest" and I still owe $127. I never received any explanination as to how this balance was caluclated and they refuse to stop further collection activties on my account after paying the orginial balance. I want someone to be aware of what they are doing because I'm sure there are other consumers like myself.Desired Settlement: I would like my account to be closed an indicated as "PAID IN FULL" because I did pay the balance in full and without documentation I should not be responsible to pay additional money. If every collection agency collected interest NO ONE would be able to pay their accounts in full.

Review: I recently reached out to RMS regarding an update made to my credit report. Upon contacting the collection agency, I was informed that I would have the account deleted from my credit report if I agree to pay the full balance for the account. I agree to this and requested this information in writing. RMS representative informed me that he could not give me the information in writing due to the fact that it was still owned by the original creditor. Upon contacting the original creditor, I was informed that they no longer own the account and that they referred me to contact RMS. When I contacted RMS back, I informed him of the conversation. RMS representative communicated that he has a specific contact with the original creditor who states the debt is owned by them. When I asked for this information to verify, the representative was extremely rude and refused to prove me with a "specific contact" from the original creditor who stated I owed the debt. Despite RMS repeatedly updating my credit report, they refuse to prove me with any information regarding resolving this other than telling me to pay the amount they decided upon.Desired Settlement: I would like them to remove their report from my credit report since they are staying that they technically do not own the debt and to refrain from updating my CR until this matter is resolved. I would also liked to be provided with the name and contact information for the individual RMS is contacting since they are claiming they are are speaking with a specific individual

Dear [redacted]:

Recently we received a notice of complaint filed by **

[redacted] against Receivable Management Systems. We strongly disagree with

the statements and allegations made by [redacted] in this matter. Please

understand this response should not be construed as verification of her claim.

As a third party collection agency, we have many clients for

which we provide collections services. We do not purchase the account from

clients but rather provide these services pursuant to contact. We are obligated

to follow the policies established by our clients as they relate to past due

debts.

Upon review of her file, [redacted] was advised that we would

have to contact our client for approval to remove this item from her permanent

credit record. We have communicated without client numerous times and they have

examined their file extensively. They have decided not to grant approval to

remove this matter from her permanent credit record. [redacted] was informed of

this decision. [redacted] balance is paid in full and no further collections

activity has been performed as it related to this matter.

I hope this information helps to provide a better understand

of the facts and thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Review: I have made multiple attempts to contact the business these past few months. I am attempting to resolve a collection account that was placed with this business in July of 2009. The debt was satisfied in January of 2013 and my credit file was updated to a "Paid" status. However, I am attempting to rebuild my credit to apply for a home purchase and I have made requests to the business to remove the negative item from my credit file. I have yet to receive any correspondence to my requests.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is for Receivables Management Systems to remove the item from my credit file.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted].

Regards,

I had a billing issue and called the agency to try to resolve it. I actually spoke to the supervisor in charge Joe and according to him, there isn't anyone above him. I am unemployed due to my health with rheumatoid arthritis as of November 2014 and currently awaiting a disability determination. I spoke to Joe telling him how unsatisfied I was because I was charged for a service with a hidden charge after paying my co-pay. I told him my situation and he was extremely insensitive to how I felt or what I was telling him. Their website states they strive to maintain customer satisfaction, the service I received was among the worst services I have ever experienced. As to someone receiving income the charge (not including added interests and fees) may not seem to be much, but for someone struggling financially may agree otherwise. I will not be contacting this business for any future payments, I will deal directly with the source. For any business that is looking for a service that collects their outstanding accounts, I highly recommend you do not choose Receivables Management Systems because they will represent you. Your patients, customers, or whatever it may be will be unsatisfied and may not return only to believe that is how your business is ran. My situation was on behalf of [redacted]. For anyone else that follows in my shoes, I recommend contacting [redacted] directly. For they are more accommodating and passionate, and they WILL work with you to help. Receivables Management Systems only care about the money.
