Review: They send an official letter to new home buyers in regards to deed transfer services. It makes you think that you owe another fee for the transfer of your recent purchase.Desired Settlement: $83 that I paid for this scam of a service

Review: This company sends out official looking documents making me believe I need them to get a copy of my deed. They are charging huge fees for documents that are available for little or nothing at the hall of records. Today, 11/12/14, I found a letter, in my mail, stating that I needed a copy of my deed and that the fee is $83.00 to get a copy. I called the 1 888 number on the form and paid the $83.00 but at no time was I told this official, through the government, or lender.After completing the transaction my wife thought about it and called the attorney that did our closing and she told us this is a scam and then I found numerous complaints on the Internet. It's been less than 24 hours and the service said it would take 7 to 21 days for a deed to be processed. The transaction is also still pending on my credit card so I've received no services from this company and want the $83.00 charge cancelled immediately.Desired Settlement: I want the charges cancelled or refunded immediately

Review: I receive this letter from Record Transfer Services [redacted] E. Thousand Oaks Blvd, Suite 78 Westlake Village, CA, 91362 for obtain a copy of my deed and I sent my check will all my info and today I found out is not mandatory payment of that they request $83.00 dollars to receive the record. I am not happy with this and I think something should happen on this companies that take advantage from people. I sent my check and I started to worried about. I went to the internet to find their review and saw many complains about this company. I sent my check a month ago and I went to my bank to stop my check. Now I am worried about them to have my check with all my info in their hands even I stop the check. This should be a shame for the California State to allowed this kind of scam happen. I hope someone will take actions against this scam. We are citizens that needs trust.Desired Settlement: I would like that they send back my check.
