Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I have spoken with the company regarding the issue and tried their website and each time I'm told I have to pay more than $each timeI have also checked my credit report several times and each time it shows up on my credit report Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: this communication has become ridiculous and has solved nothing If you go back to my previous communication it was about the lack of providing appropriate accounting information to me including a running balance statement each and every month including any additional fees that were added in I find it very difficult to understand that collection agencies do not have to provide TRANSPARENT information to consumers on an ongoing basis All that I seem to get is look at the promissory note....that was issued years ago in and yes, I have looked at itThis has nothing to do with me requesting an accounting for the additional fees in a current, understandable format The statement you sent I would have no way of telling me what was going onNOW, all of a sudden, you’re transferring me to a new servicer How convenient.....when you can’t provide requested info my bill goes to someone else? Is this new company going to add on their additional fees? I have received no written communication about this from either company (Natiomal Education Servicing or Recovery Management Services I thought that your company was going to ask for a statement from [redacted] to give to me? Are there no laws that require busi***ses to provide what, when, and why were are receiving charges??? There must be consumer protection laws to prohibit these behaviors Sincerely, [redacted] ***

This still doesn't address the lack of any statements that I never received over the last 1/years since your company took over this account The statement I received last week from your company appeared to be more for your client's information than mine which is what I referenced in this Revdex.com complaint I understand that the *** *** *** closed June 30, and I did try to deal with them directly regarding this account I realize that dealing with a 3rd party is what I am stuck with I was on a medical disability from work the year my payments stopped to *** *** *** I had, in the past, paid them directly and could see my balance at any time Your company does have a website but when I enter my account # it will not allow me set up a password to log in and bumps me out of the system

Hello,RMS-Recovery Management Services (RMS), Inchas never reported the consumer's account to the credit bureausOur former client *** *** *** reported the account and thus they would have to contact the credit bureaus we cannotThe collection costs that were assessed to the consumer's account were also added by *** *** *** including any adjustmentsMs*** account has been purchased by *** and we are no longer under contract to collect this debtMs*** should contact *** for the promissory notes that she signed which addresses both the consumer's interest rate and that collection costs would be assessed if the loan fell into default statusThe consumer may also request a complete itemized accounting of the debt as we have reported every payment that the consumer has made. Hello,
The account in question is a second placement student accounts receivable from *** College of
*** Mr***'s account was not placed with Recovery Management Services, Inc(RMS) until 1/28/As I attempted to explain to Mr*** this account was placed with a different collection agency before this date and I believe he must have emailed that company as we did not receive the dispute email that he referencesRMS has flagged Mr***'s phone numbers and he will receive no more calls from us
The first dispute that we received from Mr*** was on 4/30/In response to his dispute we changed the ECOA code to reflect that he is disputing the account and have sent him a copy of his enrollment agreement and an Itemized statement of his accountI was not rude or condescending to Mr***Mr*** started swearing at me on the call and that's when I terminated our conversation
Should you have additional questions or require further clarification please feel free to contact me
Sincerely,
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/05/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
When I received the first correspondence on 1/28, I immediately looked up the agency to review their credentialsI corresponded with them via my work emailLater I received a call at my work number which they would have gotten from my previous correspondenceI called them last week to pay them, as I told the individualHe would not talk to me about payment, until this week because he wanted me to get the information in the mailHe also refused to believe I corresponded with them whatsoever, asking me several times if I sent the item certified mailThe amount has been disputed since the original letter was sentThe reason it was a secondary collection is because the other agency could not validate the accountMy original correspondence also asked that they stop calling me and corresponding me via mail, the calls stopped at this timeI did not receive anything until I checked my credit report and saw this item on thereI have no problem paying, and called trying to do soThe individual may not believe he was condescending, but he was not on the other end of the lineI am a very calm individual who never raises his voice to anyoneIf someone can get me to that point, they have some sort of issue with their demeanorI just want this removed from my credit report, as the original dispute would legally obligate them to do, and I will pay them the $of the original debtTechnically, if I wanted to fight the validity of sending it to collections in the first place, that would be easy, as the school never returned any of my correspondenceA quick search of RMS online will divulge many of the same complaints about rudeness, uncaring individuals, and people that think they are above everyone elseIt's unfortunate that my calling to make a payment turned into this because someone couldn't take seconds out of his day to listen
