Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: When I spoke with the representative "Adam" I was informed that I had to pay the amount in full and that I perhaps consider taking a loan in which to do so A payment plan option was not given to me I then asked if the debt had been reported to the bureaus and was given a date of September 11, 2015, that the debt would be reported RMS submitted the debt in August 2015.The email from Mr*** supports partially what was communicated between myself and the representative I called on July 28th Adam was the second rep I spoke with, because the initial man I was talking with, was as what seems to be consistently trained to be curt and intimidating My goal then and still remains to be a fair plan of action I contacted RMS in good faith with food intention...the debt is righteous, I was a student at LIU, however RMS did not have good intentionsOnce I implored the service of Park View Legal (this was AFTER learing that the RMS reported the debt in August and not September as I was informed) and disputes were made, it was only then that a payment plan was given.I also received a harrassing call from RMS after this complaint was filed. This IS my debt (though I'm disputing $of the total amount for "Dining Dollars" NEVER used!) and I'm steadfast in paying it RMS lacked integrity in my initiating conversation with them and per the email from Mr, ***. Thanking you kindly for your attention and concern
Sincerely,
Monique ***

Hello,
We have examined our web payment portal and as I stated in the last response we are not having issues with multiple paymentsThis issue seems to be isolated to this consumer onlyWe offer the online payment portal as a convenience to our consumers, however as I mentioned in my last response it is certainly not the only means in which our consumers can make paymentsThe consumer can certainly mail in a check or money order to resolve her account

I am rejecting this response because:  At NO point in time was I ever given a breakdown by RMS of how much was going to the principal and how much was going to interest and/or penalties or addtl fees each month.   The accounting information keeps the consumer in the dark about what is going on.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/01/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
After I left this complaint I was called by Joe the representative for the company. I asked him two questions 1) what was the pay off on my account and 2) who could I talk to in order to complain about why I had to call 5 times and keep getting directed to his voicemail. He asked me why it mattered I explained as a customer service representative that they should be able to help me... he told me they were not customer service representatives and why does it really matter. I should have paid this months ago. I told him it wasn't his fault because he was at lunch but to keep doing that what was the reasoning for it. He kept telling me well that is just our procedure... I understand if you can't help me tell me that... don't keep hanging up on me. He said it really doesn't matter and that I was wasting his time. (I wish I was making this up) I said excuse me... I then asked to talk to a supervisor... he asked ..."Why so I could waste their time too" I was put on hold and when the supervisor came on he said his name was Jeremy and he sounded like the person I talked to that kept hanging up on me. I made a comment asking if this was the same Jeremy I tried talking to before. He said he wasn't. I explained the situation and instead of being understanding, apologetic, all he kept asking was when are you sending the money... and what would you like for me to do. When I told him I was going to need him to look into the way his people were treating others he pretty much pushed it off. When I told the person that a complaint has been filed on Revdex.com the supervisor Jeremy hung up on me. I called Millikin and talked to Business office and they said they would look into this. I am now dealing directly with the original debtor. Thank you and have a nice day.

Hello,I have rechecked our system and there is absolutely no record of any verbal communication between the consumer and my firm. Does the consumer have a different last name for me to check? Also I believe that the consumer has not visited our payment portal web site as there is no record of her attempting to sign in there either. Our payment portal web address is [redacted]. Was this the address that the consumer went to? The log in ID for the consumer is the same as our internal file number [redacted] and her password is her social security number. I have flagged the consumer's account as a do not contact per her requested remedy on the last complaint. Hello,
Ms Pugh's account was placed with RMS-Recovery Management Services for collection. The loan holder is Avila University and Ms. Pugh owes Avila $2,051. We are the second collection agency that Avila has placed this account with in an attempt to collect the outstanding balance owed by Ms. Pugh. Ms. Pugh has contacted Avila and they have asked RMS to accept a short term payment plan of $10.00 a month so that Ms. Pugh can begin repaying her debt. At this rate Ms Pugh will be repaying her debt to Avila for the next 17 years. Ms. Pugh's debt is an outstanding tuition debt and was meant to be payed before classes were attended.

01/14/2015 WEB Revdex.com RECEIVED CONSUMER REBUTTAL : (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I will not accept this response. No one addressed why the person @RMS spoke to me that way. Twisting my words, making me feel that I should automatically know how collections work or what the debit is for. I sent in $10 payments dated from 12/14 to 6/2015 under distress from RMS. I feel this is not my account to pay. Also I'm unaware of any other collection agencies having this account as I was not contacted. Their practice of bullying to obtain debit is against the law.

01/16/2015 WEB Revdex.com RECEIVED BUSINESS' RESPONSE TO REBUTTAL : Hello,
I have attached the itemized statement from Avila University which was sent out to the consumer yesterday. This statement shows in detail the debt owed to Avila University. Avila placed this debt with RMS for collections. As I stated previously RMS is the second agency that Avila has retained to attempt to collect this debt. If the consumer does not wish to speak with us she can submit that request in writing to our office and we will comply.
RMS-Recovery Management Services, Inc.will not contact Ms. Pugh again. The consumer still owes Avila University $1,981.00.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
RMS continues to harass. I've asked since January 2015 for RMS not to contact and they have continued with the harassment and threats. They have called several times since January 2015 (late at night) and they have mailed harassing letters. RMS stated back in Jan 2015 that they would not continue to contact me and they continue. What is my next step for the harassment to stop? How do I get my information removed from RMS?
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2015/07/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
What is the proposed solution? RMS stated back in January that they would not contact me anymore. Per my phone records, RMS has called several times late at night since then and recently. RMS has sent me a letter, which I have, that is dated 7/1. So you see they will lie and stop at nothing with their scare tactics. I'm requesting that RMS not ever contact me, they should not have my personal information in their data base for any reason. I'm asking you again several months later the same thing. When will this stop? What is my next step for them to stop?
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/07/10) */
