Review: Reimage destroyed my computer by letting a sub contractor work on it . I gave control of my computer on July **, 2014 and the damage was done the first day that ASAP Support gave it back to me. Nothing worked anymore. I called the the next day and they worked on it for four more days and could not repair the damages that they created, so I got my initial investment back . Now no one will pay for the unusable computer or all the data I lost, or the used laptop I had to buy to replace the computer that they destroyed. T he first thing a real tech would do is to make sure that everything has been backed up. Reimage hired these people so I think that they should be responsible. Order ID: [redacted]Desired Settlement: $110.00 for the computer that they have destroyed .$120.00 for a used lap top so I can job search. And $500.00 for the documents and all my photo's that were dear to me and will never get back. $730.00 total.

Review: I purchased the company software to fix my computer, their initial scan revealed my computer was unstable with corrupted and broken files. I clicked on repair and it was supposed to remove the bad files, I emailed their tech support and was told to perform the same scan and repair in the safe mode which I did. I still had problems with repairing the registry and have tried this at least 6 times with no result. I ended up doing a complete system restore back to its factory condition. and now it's performing excellent. I receive Social Security Benefits and on a limit income and the amount I paid for this software hurts me financially.Desired Settlement: $69.95 The purchase price that was charged on my Visa credit card ending in [redacted]

Review: I was having problems with sending emails and this company (Reimage) said that they could fix this problem. When a technician was connected to my computer, he told me that it was badly damaged and needed a lot of work. He brought up a lot of red flags on the computer supposedly causing the problem. He told me that a one time repair would cost $149.99 and would include a tune up and full system cleaning. He also told me that for the life of my computer that I could get lifetime technical help and virus and malware protection for the price of $499.95. I agreed to that price although I thought it was high. The technician "worked" on my computer for two days. Not only was the problem not fixed, but more were created. They charged me $499.95 and $599.95 on my credit card on the same day. I called the help number they gave me and was always put on hold and eventually was disconnected. The charges on the credit card were paid to " Global Access Tech Support, [redacted]. I tried to dispute these charges with my credit card company. The charges were removed pending an investigation , then put back on my card with the reasoning that the charges were valid. These cyber crooks charged me $1,099.90 that day and my computer was so messed up that I had to take it to a computer repair man to get it straight and that cost me another $75. I feel that as a concerned consumer, that this dispute is not settled properly or justly.Desired Settlement: I wish to have these charges removed from my credit card and that this company or companies be investigated for their outrageous practices.

Review: The failure was to fix my computer and reimage has made it to the point that I was unable to use my computer for 34 days. I am a part time contractor and I lost all of my invoices from this repair. To add to this, reimage has tried to fix this problem 3 times and each time mu computer has gotten worse. I have tried to talk to customer service and all I get is that they do not have a phone number to anyone to return my money. They have to email who ever it is and I asked to be CC: on this email, and of course they did not. All I want is my money back and this has been going on for 47 days. My [redacted] Office has been deleted, all of my apps and different software programs have been deleted from my laptop. They have wanted to get into my computer again and I will not let this company get even close to my computer. Also the last time they tried to "FIX" my computer they actually deleted all of their software, there is no trace of any reimage on my computer as they have deleted it.Desired Settlement: Destroy this company and also [redacted] as they advertise this company

Hi [redacted],

I am following up on a complaint you made with the Revdex.com some

time ago.

Reimage itself was going through a transitional period

during the summer of 2014, a lot of bugs found in our system. Since then

false positives have been drastically reduced ([redacted] office) and our

support staff strengthened. We work closely with the leading Anti – Virus

companies and [redacted] to ensure we remain 100% compliant.

Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with,

including a full refund.

Review: The company advertises to fix your computer remotely for 69.95 and that includes one year of 24/hrs a day service. The women on the phone talked about what was wrong with the computer for approximately one hour only to slip in there that it would cost an additional 250 to fix the problem. She clearly stated that problem was going to be fixed and then changed her dialogue to state that they couldnt fix the problem without additonal monies. SCAM ARTISTSDesired Settlement: I want my 69.95 back that I paid to have my computer fixed and not for some women in India to tell me that my computer needed to be fixed.....I already knew that.

Review: On 10 /** I ordered reimage and then called the number to activate it. They never called back. I called 1/**/2015 at about 4Pm and spoke to a technician. He asked for control of the computer and was in my email looking for the purchase account. He wanted my email registry.

He then told me that they fix only front end problems and not the back problems that needed repair and as a service to me he told me the options: Go to [redacted] cost $200/year; 2. He knows a certified tech, but he needs my address and that will take 5 days, or, reimage will do it for $149.

I then asked him what the service I just paid would do for me? Nothing- I needed back end repair. I then told him I did not this service and wanted my money back. He hung up.

I looked for the refund policy information and that told me I needed to remove all programs, by going to their site and undo what repairs they made. Well they made no repairs and had no intention of doing anything without an additional payment.

They sent me no receipt for my $30 payment/ I could not choose the $19.99 one time use

I do not trust this site and do not want to contact them again. At this point I am afraid they added mal ware to my computer. I do want my money back and I want them to pay me an additional $200 to have a technician remove every trace of their program from my computer.Desired Settlement: I want the charge removed from my credit card and I want their programs removed by a professional technician. I do not trust what they may have put on my computer or will put on,. $200fpr repair

Hi,Upon purchase of Reimage PC Repair, the user is then routed to an after purchase page where his/her license key is listed in Big Bold Letters. The user is presented with 2 options:1. Manually activate License Key - clear instructions and screen shots, showing the user how to cut and paste their numeric code (license key) into the User Interface.2. Call This Number to activate - Reimage offers 3rd party support for activation through outsourced vendors. Reimage offers 60 money back guarantee. We take these matters very seriously and will follow up on our 3rd party members activity immediately. We will ensure no charges were made by a technician and will Refund the Reimage charge. -Reimage

Review: I signed up for Reimage's software on 7-*-14. No where on the purchase page was anything mentioned about this subscription being automatically rebilled once per year. I would never buy anything that automatically billed me without my permission.

I just received an email from Bluesnap.com, the company that handles Reimage.com's billing. It said that my "subscription for Reimage PC Repair - Home plane Reimage online PC repair is planned in 7 days using your credit card ending in ###, as agreed when the subscription was purchased." THAT IS A LIE!!!

I have purchased from this company several times in prior years, and they never once tried to automatically renew my subscription. Furthermore, the Reimage website clearly states at [redacted] "There is no recurring charge or automatic renewal of the license key."Desired Settlement: Remove from reimage.com website the statement that there is no automatic renewal.

Business

Response:

Hi [redacted], I just received your complaint and would like to explain. Reimage had a test trial with Plimus “Blue Snap” for a one month period with automatic renewals listed at the bottom of the purchase page. This was quickly stopped last year due to negative feedback, it caused far more damage than good. I apologize for this inconvenience and have already sent this to support requesting an immediate refund. On top of that I would be happy to offer you 2 years of free support from our Tech Center or simply provide you with a couple annual license keys for your troubles. If you have any other concerns please let me know, Best Regards, [redacted]

Review: Ordered PC online repair, Start up key was sent directly to me, ran the program. This program was designed to delete corrupted files and replace them with fresh files from their bank. This program deleted my files and did not replace the files. I purchased the year subscription, that ensures they will install the program and more importantly, get it working. It did not work and they did not get it working.I contacted customer support. They told me their software was working fine and I had a corrupted system they could fix for the low price of $250, it was absolutely not what I purchased and I am afraid its done more harm to my computer since it has deleted information. When I explained the situation to the customer service representative [redacted] he was more than willing to charge me for a good fix. I requested to speak with his [redacted] and went back and fourth between the two for over an hour. The people working with the company are very skilled with sales, he gave me a million reasons that the computers was not working my new software and installed other applications on my computer that I did not request. Since I am not very tech savvy. I will need to have this fixed by a professional.Desired Settlement: I would like reimage to honor their word, and make my software work. I am a [redacted] Veteran living on a fixed income, trying to put myself through graduate school. This is a very difficult task without a computer.

Review: I purchased reimageplus.com for my pc - there were issues installing it and then the tech wanted to see if he could help, and proceeded to go into my computer's registry, causing much larger problems. In fact, my computer was rendered inoperable by the actions of the tech. The computer turns on, but nothing more beyond a 'blue screen'. Now, I must get a new pc, which should not have been necessary if the product had worked as advertised. Finally, the tech, when informed that I was not going to pay for services that he had not mentioned there was a charge for, rang off the line and the computer went down and has stayed down as a result of the incomplete/incompetent work he had done (or half-done...)Desired Settlement: I would like reimage.com to pay for a new computer of equal value that they rendered inoperable. It is (or I should say was) an HP/Compaq 15.6" pc with windows vista (I know they are no longer on this operating system) This is a link to the current model that most closely matches the one I have: [redacted] and would be an acceptable resolution along with paying for the transfer of all material from my old hard drive to the new one. Businesses like reimage need to know that they must inform folks that when they start working remotely on a pc, that the result could be an inoperable machine and they should pay for replacement when they mess up...

Response:

Hi There,I would like to address this users complaint and hopefully establish some communication with the Revdex.com.The functionality of the Reimage Software uses the core technology of one of the most known and big anti-malware companies in the security software arena, which makes this complaint surprising. We would like to emphasize that each end user is fully informed about the functionalities of the Software before its installation and any installation is conducted with the user's explicate consent and will. The operation and function of the Software are made upon end user license purchasing and the Software never repairs anything without obtaining the end user’s consent. We would like to look into this matter further so we can identify what exactly happened during the "remote session". If indeed there was a human error on our end, we can discuss compensation. All of our phone calls are recorded for quality insurance. Please provide any additional information regarding the purchase and phone number that was called. We will launch internal investigation early next week.Thanks,-[redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Your investigation has not been conducted yet, as you have stated. The date of my purchase was 11/**/2014 and I believe that is when the repair was attempted. Your reference # was [redacted] and I believe it was '[redacted]' on your phone line that was working with me to install the software and then he took it upon himself to try to get to the root of the problem. When I told him that I could not afford the price, that is when things went sideways and my computer has been down and out since then. I look forward to hearing back from you next week as to the verification of what I have related. Then, next steps can be discussed when all the facts are in evidence. Thank you, [redacted]

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Hi, I would like to follow up on a complaint issued via Revdex.com regarding the Reimage PC repair. We apologize for your inconvenience and were surprised to hear your claim. Reimage has been in business selling thousands of license keys worldwide since 2007 and we have yet to hear a complaint like this. That being said, we are willing to offer you $200 in compensation for the inconvenience. Once accepted we can transfer the funds and resolve this issue. Let me know how you would like to proceed. Thanks, Best Regards, [redacted]

Greetings, I just wanted you to know that the matter of this complaint has been satisfied. Reimageplus Reimage # ID [redacted] has paid me the amount agreed upon and I consider the case closed and satisfied. Thank you very much for your support of the consumer in this matter. It gives one a sense of confidence to know that there is indeed protection for the consumer when a company does wrong and that right does, eventually, triumph. Have a great day and again, thanks! [redacted]

Sincerely,[redacted]

Reimage is a rip-off. I purchased it and the product key is invalid. Attempts to reach the number given are met with long hold times and then disconnection. My getting a refund is very unlikely.
