Renewal by Andersen of San Francisco

This is our second experience with Renewal by Anderson We had such a wonderful first experience, that when we were ready for our kitchen remodel, we knew who we were going to call! ***, *** and crew went over and beyondTheir knowledge, skills and expertise were phenomenal They made sure to answer my many questions, treated our property inside and out with respect, and were very courteous and professionalOur windows and doors are absolutely beautiful! They match our first set of which we are very pleased with functionality as well as warmth and enhancement of our homeFrom the very first phone call with ***, which I had saved in my contacts, to the office staff that put me in contact with Jesus so I could coordinate with my kitchen remodel, all the way to the daily follow up calls from ***, I felt very taken care of I knew the Renewal by Anderson products and customer service were exceptional; however, I didn’t know that each experience would increase in value! We will definitely call them for our next set of windows in the years to come!

Installers were prompt and efficientDon’t remember the first ones but *** did an excellent job todayHe even cleaned trash that had been left by the first crewMy issues with Anderson: I feel like they’ve grown bigger than their ability to communicate properlyInstallers didn’t know what I had discussed with representatives, who assured me that homeowners assnrequirements were on my recordUnfortunately they never communicated these to the installersI’ve had windows installed twice, about yrs apart Both times they arrived in the wrong color and had to be reordered and reinstalledMy installation date was changed, at the last minute, for both installationsBoth times I was assured that I would get a gift card for my inconvenienceSo far I have not received anything

Their door-to-door salesman arrived just before dusk and ignored our clearly posted "no solicitation" door sign and knocked anyway(surely they are trained by "Renewal by Andersen" to do this since unfortunately its not against the law in our city) When this issue was brought up the salesman rudely mouthed off to me and started acting shifty (casing my house?) instead of just leavingI then was forced to ask the salesman for a piece of paper showing the company name and logo and asked for his nametimes I asked for that paper which he clearly held on a clipboard, he refused to give me one and instead called his manager who was apparently nearby and then insulted me again by laughing about me while talking to his manager on the phoneFinally after their call he gave me a sheet of paper from the stack he was holding and I also got his nameHe was wearing a shirt with the company name and logoWhen the manager later arrived in a van also with their name and logo on it, instead of talking to me to apologize, the manager got the salesman into the van and the manager sped off around the corner recklessly driving in a purposely rude and aggressive wayThey disappeared in a criminal mannerI have called the police to file a reportIf you see Renewal by Andersen salespersons in your neighborhood, you too should consider calling the policeThese people are ***I have called their local office here also to complain, they at least seemed receptive to hear my reportHowever since I have zero desire to ever do business with a disreputable company such as Renewal by Andersen, there isn't much they can do for meMy main desire is to discover a way to formally press charges against them

Just had *** & *** take care of some repairs in my homeExcellent work!

WE had new Renewal by Anderson windows installed, and are very happy with the results *** also came to help us with our french door, and installed screens He was courteous and knowledgeable All of the crew were courteous and made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction I couldn't be happier with the work performed by both of the window and door specialists

What should have been a three day job has now turned into multiple months, with no end in sightThe quality of the workmanship has been deficient in every area, from basic installation to finishingA limited view of my experience thus far: 1) They show up on days when they are not scheduled; 2) They show up hours late on the days they are scheduled; 3) They never work a complete day; 4) They entered my home when they knew I was not there and when they had not been given permission to do so (I had to leave a meeting to have my alarm company call off the police); 5) They installed the wrong size sliding door (after having paid for a more expensive custom door) - the correct door was to be installed within weeks, by October 21, 2016, and to date is not installed; 6) They failed to install a pan under the sliding door - the incorrect door that they did install; 7) They failed to install drip caps on any of the windows they attempted to install; 8) They failed to slope the sills on a

As we have worked with Renewal By Andersen before and liked their product and the finished product, we decided to go with them again as they are thorough and provide all pertinent information in every aspect of the job as it moves along
We have a large two-story home with over years of clutter so we had to do the replacing of the original windows in two phases Four years ago they did all of the downstairs windows and one sliding glass door All well done
We are now having them do the upstairs and so far, everything has gone exactly as detailed by Jordan and GeorgeAs with the first time around, I trust that from this point till completion everything should be satisfactory just as the first time
I will provide a final review when time comes

The salesperson was pushy and the presentation and it went on for hours! I had two hungry young children and finally had to leave my husband aloneThe next thing I knew I was being asked to sign things I did not even have time to look at
Later when I saw what the windows cost, I tried to cancelI was told the cancellation charge was $4,Which is ridiculous
The windows are industrial looking and the white is a dull off-white, not at all like the samples I saw
So I signed a contract under undue pressure, was not allowed to cancel without paying a huge amount of money even though no work had been done or product ordered and now I have unbelievably expensive and ugly windows
I am a Realtor and I will not only warn my friends, family and neighbors about Anderson but I will also make sure to spread the word to my clients and colleagues as well
I thought about calling my attorney about this but thought it would cost more to fight this than the windows cost

We had Renewal by Andersen come into our home in April to install windows, unfortunately they drop the ball and left the job incompleteWe have made numerous calls for someone to give us a status update on our front door window with no successIt is now September and we are still left with an incomplete jobWe still have to finish our upstairs and patio doors but more than likely will not use Renewal by Andersen

We have had an issue with our Andersen French doors dead bolt lock The technician /service man *** *** arrived promptly within the designated time window and fixed the troublesome locking mechanism It is working better now than when it was installed Thank You *** *** from Renewal-By-Andersen

Excellently engineered windows installed by an organization (RbA) owned by the company (Andersen) that makes the windows (thereby ensuring that the windows' installation doesn't damage the integrity or lifetime usage of the windows (NOTE: RbA only does replacement of residential windows and sliding doors -- a permit is generated along with the work.) During installation, I had to point out details to address and RbA immediately did so RbA leaves the windows with a white basecoat (interior or exterior) or stucco (exterior) ready to paint The organization (and company) has historically stood behind the windows and installation indefinitely (well beyond what is normally expected from other replacement window installations -- warrantee and support are transferable The cost of all of this is at least double (and possibly triple) of other window replacements cost, so installation of windows by RbA will generally be restricted to perfectionists, people who want to have replacements done once and right (never worrying about them again), or people who plan on living in the house for 20+ more years

One of the windows I ordered from Renewal by Anderson turned out to have an unexpected size, that I noticed after installation When I called Renewal, *** ***,an installation manager, came out immediately to assess my concern He was fabulous- recognizing how the result had occurred He spent a lot of time as we discuss alternative solutions, and told me to think about the options He subsequently spent more time exploring options himself and found an even better solution Renewal has assumed responsibility for the cost of of the mistake, recognizing I should have been told about the asymmetry of the original orderI am sorry about the original problem, but extremely impressed by how *** and Renewal handled it They took full responsibility, came up with a very good solution, and will not charge me for correcting their mistake

*** was here right on time fix a small drip in one of our new windowsHe fixed in a flash*** is the best!
