Review: After leaving [redacted] several messages to view this property I had to speak to a supervisor to speak to the agent. Once we saw it we felt the property was a perfect for our family, I spoke with the agent regarding the requirements for application approval. I was informed that I needed to have above a 600 credit score no eviction bankruptcy or convictions. This was confirmed by [redacted]. All which were not a problem for me or my husband. I was told there were no other applications on this property so we proceeded. After paying $45 each I was informed we were no approved because my husband very little credit, but his score was still over 600. He then advised me we would have to get a co-signer if we wanted the property. re[redacted]tantly we did after processing another application and a additional $45 ($135 total) [redacted] emailed me saying they decided to go with another application. This was literally minutes after submitting the application. This is bad business, from the beginning I felt [redacted] had no interest I'm assisting me in this process. He was using every excuse as to why we were not approved. The supervisor and agent were more than helpful.I am not happy about wasting time and $135 when based on their requirements we should have been approved without a cosigner.Desired Settlement: Refund of application fees

It turns out it's not impossible because I have been extremely happy with their service. Their communication is the most efficient, their repair fees are extremely reasonable, and their monthly fees were the same if not lower than the others I interviewed. The took the time to select the right tenant for my house, and saved money on repairs whenever possible. We enthusiastically recommend Rentals America as a rental property manager! Rentals America managed our property in the Phoenix area for three years while we were deployed abroad. They marketed our property, found and screened our tenants, promptly and sensibly resolved all maintenance issues (including some trying times with an aging a/c during the hot summer months), and turned our property back over to us in mint condition. Despite the fact that we were only reachable by e-mail, our single point of contact always responded to us within 24 hours. Our rental proceeds were always deposited in a timely manner, and their website was very easy to use when we needed to deposit funds for repairs. Finally, having been renters ourselves, it was important to us that Rentals America proved to be equally responsive and considerate to our tenants. I have only been with Rentals America for a short time, but already I have found them to be so far above the other Property Management companies I have used in the past that the difference is like night and day. They manage my properties, with care and an eye on the bottom line, like I would do it if I had the time. I wish I would have found them years ago!
