I have different calendar reminders for the day I can CANCEL our service with this horrible company Their accounts receivable people don't know how to apply one payment to accounts Their contract says they can raise their rates pretty much whenever they feel like it, and you're locked in for YEARS with the contract, with no recourse This company smacks of old school mafia cronyism and it's disgraceful I had to point out to their accounting people, again, how to create a credit and apply it somewhere else My next bill had a 20% RATE INCREASE Never EVER use this company

The reply by Mr*** is inaccurateI called in on January 23, to cancel our service as I found service for $25/month ($every two months) and Republic Service had just increased my monthly bill to $72/month from about $63/monthWhen I called in to cancel the service is when I was told we were set up as a commercial accountIt was at that time that I explained that we were NOT commercial but rather residential as we had changed to residential back in when we got rid of the dumpster we had and got two totesIt was during that call on 1/23/that I was told we were set up as commercial and they would not tell me the price difference between residential and commercialIn fact, on subsequent calls when I was trying to figure out how much they were overcharging me, no one would give me a price differenceI talked to Mr*** on at least two occasions and he never gave me this information even though I asked.So Mr***'s claim that they told me it was $65/quarter for two totes is not correctNo one ever told me what residential service would costMr*** admitted to me over the phone that they had made an error and had his sales person, *** offer me $10/month to correct the error if I would stay with their serviceI want to be clearI never called to ask for a residential quoteI called to cancel my service and it was during that call that I found out they were charging me at a commercial rate in errorI only asked what the residential charge would be to try and figure out how much they had been overcharging meClearly if the cost is $65/quarter for tote and I was paying $72/month for two totes, I was being significantly overchargedEven if they charge a small upcharge for a second tote, I was still overcharged significantly from Septwhen I got rid of the dumpster and changed to the residential service and two totes in Republic Service made an error that should be correctedI asked Republic Service on more than one occasion to provide me with the cost for two totes for residential service and no one at any time provided me that informationMr***'s response is simply not trueI believe we are owed the difference between the cost of residential service and commercial service from the time we changed from the dumpster in which was a commercial service, to the two totes which was the residential serviceI previously estimated this overcharge at $however, based on the new information Mr*** has indicated in his response, the reimbursement to us may be more than thatI remain willing to resolve this dispute for a reimbursement of $which I believe to be a conservative amountThank you*** ***

The removal fees have been credited to the customer as a courtesy. There may be a small balance owing for the services dates before the closure of the accountOnce the adjustment is completed we can give Mr*** the exact amount owed. The customer can contact us at

Their billing and policy practices are not of the interest of the consumer They made a mistake regarding bill send/received When identified the error payment made immediately and they were not willing to work out a comprise They force me to move to another vendor because of their lack of services Then again charge me for pickup of their container They state that is company policy that I would agree if it were neglect on my part in this case it was on their part so feel they stole from a consumer and hope I was the only one

I am extremely unhappy with Republic Services garbage pickupOn average, my garbage is “missed” twice a month This has occurred nearly every month since I started service in September I have only been credited for missed pickups once, to my knowledgeI’ve reported missed pickups both by phone and online with continued service inconsistencyThe three or four online reports I have made were only responded to onceI really would like to switch to another service provider; however, there is only one other option in my areaUnfortunately, the competitor’s price far exceeds what Republic Services’ charges currently

The customer is responsible for closing his online bill payaccountsThis was not done by *** ***, causing the cart refubishing fee to be automaticallydrafted from his accountA credit has been processed in the overpayment of $and will be refunded in the form of a check

manager contacted the customer, and he stated he is the only one that is currently at this property He informed her that they will be remodeling and tearing the bldgdown, but he still is not sure whenShe offered to change his service to every other week, or to on call servicesSo his price would be lower and once the bldg., actually closed we could confirm it with him and via a site check and close the account at no penalty to himHe refused all offers and stated he does not produce any trash and does not want to pay for services he does not needWe tried to offer amicable solutions, and are getting to conflicted reasons for cancellationThe agreement he signed was provided to him to ensure he had the ability to have it at hand and cancel before the renewal. We are still willing to work with him and hope he will take the offers he was provided to help should his location actually be closing down in the near future

I was not told at the time I canceled service there would be a pick up fee and an additional administrative fee charged for canceling service One month later I received a final notice for a bill I never received nor knew anything aboutVery questionable practiceThe customer service was awfulI have had better experiences talking to an automated system

Good Afternoon,I'm in receipt of the complaint from *** *** and appreciate having the opportunity to respond. I apologize for the unfortunate experience and response *** *** received from Republic Services and ***. We value our commitment to the citizens,
the community and the environmentLet me start by stating we will pay the $claim for the windshield. However, I would like to take a moment to communicate our position concerning road hazards. Road hazrard claims are usually denied due to the fact they objects that come directly from the road. Whether a rock came from underneath a car or truck - it is a rock that was on the road. Would we ask a person driving a car pay for a windshield in which a rock came from underneath its' tire and cracked it? But if something unfortuanely came "off" of our truck and struck a windshield we would accept that type of claim. I attached the orginal denial letter for record keeping purposes only.Moreover, Republic Services uses *** for all of their claims. They handle every claim - big or small. This is not handled at the local level. I will forward *** a copy of the complaint and ask them to re-open the claim to pay it. Someone from *** will reach out to *** *** to set up and confirm payment. I'm sure they will need a receipt for payment. Customer# *** *** Construction5/11/15 Account Manager attempted to work with customer to resolve issues with no return call. 7/3/- Customer call came into Account Manager to cancel at 11:AM. Customer stated that he sent in cancellation letter two weeks
prior. No certified letter was received to dateAccount Manager *** left a voicemail for customer to discuss service agreement.7/7/- Customer called to state that he wanted container removed. Account Manager stated we were in need of certified letter and that customer was still under a current service agreement.Next Step: DSM will personally call customer 7/6/to resolve any issues and help statisy customer's requests

After terminating the business as my trash hauler, they sent a invoice for a large dollar amount After discussing it and realizing they were not going to get away with it, they still tried to scam me for payment to remove their trash container from my property I left the company when I realized I was paying much more than the going rate for trash removal

We are willing to terminate the contract as per paragraph titled PAYMENT UPON TERMINATION which give you the opportunity to terminate the agreement by sending a check equal to the most recent months monthly charges multiplied by six months plus and outstanding balances due. As with any customer they have the right to terminate their contract following the termination clause or as you stated in regards to your conversation with *** *** offered to work with youI am always willing to work with any of our customers

I wanted to provide a response but your site is a little vague on how to do that However: Some background on this complaint I contacted Republic Services, as they did leave a msg on my answering machine that their driver noticed my property, a basketball hoop, was damaged and dragged to in front of my mailbox; about a distance of feet It is a big basketball hoop and was weighted down with water in the base There is blue paint on the rim of the hoop.I was put on the phone with the field supervisor, ***, and I explained what I knew He asked me what color was the paint on the hoop Being a former police officer and federal agent (years of law enforcement experience); I did not tell him the correct color I told him the paint was GREEN He said, "all of my trucks are BLUE." I knew that because I had gone to their website I said all of them and he replied "Yes" I then told him he should come by and see the damaged propertyI told him I had intentionally misled the color Green but that he would fine BLUE paint on the rim I have picturesHe said he would I told him there was damaged amber lens cover and glass of some sort on the street from the vehicle that did the damage He said he would go and check his truck that night and see the hoop during the next day The next day, I noticed the lens cover was gone and all the shattered glass or plastic had been picked up The area swept clean of debrisThe blue paint on the rim is still there.On Nov 21st at 14:hrs, I called the Republic supervisor, ***, who told me that his driver had said that ***, the electric utility in Saint Louis, was on the street that day and it must have been *** I called *** *** provided me with a written statement that they did NOT have any vehicles on my street or subdivision that day All the electric utlities are buried in my subdivisionThere is NO contstruction going on in my subdivision for *** to be there.I feel I have been misled and lied to about the damage, by Republic Why? Because that would put Republic admitting to leaving the scene of an accident with property damage of $or more I am of the impression they are covering it up If you check their website, their trucks are blue The first supervisor reported to me all of his trucks in the area are blue The color of the paint on my property is the same color of BLUE as Republic's trucks ***'s trucks are not blue and they provided a written statement that they did not have any vehicles in the area, a direct rebuttal of the Republic's driver who told his supervisor that it was *** who had caused the damage I do not believe Republic Services is being a good corporate citizen in this instance To me and probably to a reasonable person, their original statements of having only Blue trucks in the area and the paint color on my property, matching the color Blue of the their trucks, and that NOW they tell a story that they have Green trucks from another company indicates to me, and is my opinion, that Republic Services is not being truthful in this instance That is why I do not accept their explanation Also, I am customer of Republic ServicesThey pick up lawn waste in my subdivision on Mondays; which is when the property damage occuredSince this incident, the past Mondays I have had items out for pick up and Republic's driver as failed to make the pick up The first Monday I thought nothing of itI held onto it to the next Monday for pick up The second Monday, still my yard waste was left in the driveway I then called Republic Services, in my area, and they had a "special pick up" done for me on that Tuesday (an expense I am sure) The next Monday had additional yard waste and still it was not picked up I left the yard waste for my regular Tuesday trash pick up and that driver had taken it (it was corn stalks) I have paid my bills for yard waste pick up and have not recieved the best of service, since this incident with my basketball hoop being damaged.Regards,*** * ***

The local Republic Services located at *** *** *** *** ** *** has increased our bill 50% in less than a year We're a church and told them we decided we no longer require their service since they could not justify their increase They even had the temerity to increase the "fuel recovery fee" by $ Oh, but they found a clause in our contract saying we can't drop their service for a few years So we're captive to these unjustified price increases until we can drop them Do yourself a favor and avoid being held captive like we did

Republic Services will raise your rate without notifying youI started off paying $ a quarter and had it set to auto-payI never noticed when over the course of several years they raised it to $a quarter and I never received any notice from them of the changes or an explanation whyWhen I called to inquire about the raises, they offered to drop me down to almost half of what I was payingI canceled regardless as I found another service for $a quarter who picked up more frequentlyAfter canceling they then sent a $trash can pickup fee which they promptly removed once I called and complainedOverall, they seem to be the type of company that will over charge you, hope you don't notice and just pay, but if you call them on their BS then they are willing to remove/reduce chargesPretty shady business practice if you ask me

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The insurance agent, besides the fact that he was completely disrespectful to me over the phone, has been contacted by me with the witness information and police report request, he would not accept it because it was my mother in law to be the direct visual witness, in addition the president of the association also confirmed the damage was not there prior to the garbage removal company arriving and shortly after they left the damage was thereWhen I asked Republic services if they needed the footage or a police report they said NO! If this is not resolved through Revdex.com, the board's real estate lawyer will file a complaint about this and resolve the matter outside of the Revdex.com panel, this is if the company doesn't agree to fix the gate

We discovered the prior residents account was never closed and we continued to service the new resident When the error was uncovered and we we opened the new account, we did not open it correctlyWe made the corrections on the account and went out and serviced the customer that
afternoon
