RGB Restoration and Builders Reviews (44)

RGB did an outstanding job with our roof, they were very professional and efficient in their duties. They showed great pride in their work and the quality of the job shows. They are very knowledgeable about the products they installed. I'm very pleased with the work the completed on my residence.

These guys are top notch! They took the extra care to do the job as if it was their own home. Polite and very well mannered crew. The clean-up was outstanding also. Almost like they were never here other than a beautiful new roof on my house and garage. I highly recommend these guys!!!!! A+ Thank you RGB

We have returned to the residence and repaired the leaks. As far as any other work, we completed the work required by the insurance estimate (see attached).  There is no other work required by the estimate, nor is there any notation of extra work required on the contract. The solar panels and...

the dryer vent are not in the scope of repair.

The guys were punctual and polite, very approachable and knowledgeable. I think they did an excellent job. Keep up the great work and thank you RGB. Happy customer!

The entire experience was positive and hassle free. If you are looking for a professional and experienced roofing company, RGB is without a doubt the best choice for the job.

RGB replaced the roof on my 40 year old house and did an outstanding job. There were a few issues with a roof that old, and they addressed every issue successfully. The workers were professional in every aspect of their job, and did a great job of cleaning up afterward. Everything promised me beforehand was delivered.

Great company! Highly recommended!!

Very professional. Clearly communicated what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Very timely. I have already recommended to other friends. Thank you RGB

I was very happy with everything about this company their professionalism, timeliness, and overall product delivery. If I ever need a new roof again, I will be sure to call them again. Since they did such an amazing I probably wont need a new roof any time soon. Highly recommend them!!

RGB Restoration did an outstanding job of tearing off the old 2 layers of shingles and doing the reroof on my home. The price was great and the quality of work was excellent. The crew was polite and very profession. They adressed all my concerns and questions about the roof and I highly recommend them. My roof looks great.! [redacted]

As a rule, I try to work things out with any customer who is unhappy. But this is ridiculous. We were hired to replace the patio roof on Mr. [redacted] property per the insurance scope of repair that I have attached for review. Mr. [redacted] received approximately 1100 from his insurance company after his...

deductible was calculated out. He gave us the 1100 to do the job and we agreed to do it for that amount. This is point 1 where Mr. [redacted] is wrong. He stated he gave us $1600. It took his insurance company six weeks to agree to cover the damage and send the check. He blamed us for holding up the project when we clearly told him we couldn't start until the insurance company agreed with us about the damage. After we completed the roof in a timely fashion, he pointed out other damage on the property not covered by insurance. We agreed to help him out. Then he asked us to do more work. We agreed, never asking for another penny. Then more: sheetrock, paint, crown molding, etc. To date we have done over $1,500 extra work without asking for a penny. Mr. [redacted] has never offered to pay us, pay his deductible,  reimburse us for materials, compensate us in any way for all the extra work above and beyond. All he does is complain the free extra work isn't being done fast enough. It ends now.  Please REMOVE THIS COMPLAINT. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

Excellent service in all areas; follow up, clean up, advice, working to schedule set up, excellent management. The men doing the work were courteous and did an outstanding job. They are the best I've ever experienced in my lifetime on any of my home care needs. They are TERRIFIC!

Review: I feal like I have been conned, the salesman that inspected my roof said yes You have hail damagethen put a piece of paper and said to sign it the I will let RGB put a sign in front yardDesired Settlement: unfortunately I signed I end up giving theminsurance check for $ 9,000 not sure of amount Resolution that you desire

Review: When RGB replace the roof, they took off the Evap tube and drop inside the attic cause damages to the drywall on the ceiling. Also, they didn't cover the evap tube as the A/C is running through the attic instead of the house. When they finish the roof replacement, they never told me about the evap tube and notice the house was so warm for 3 weeks until I went into the attic to discovered that the tube to the vent wasn't covered. They told me they were going to fix it but never got it done. Had to hired professional to cap the tube and pay the extra $$$. Drywall on the ceiling where they damage it from the evap tube, I had to hire painter to fix the crack drywall and pay them extra $$$.

(roof replacement was done in 1st week of September).

The skylight cover fell and the frame was damage and was never replaced.

The wood frame and the roof board was not replaced till I told them to and did poor job replacing it.

When they finish the roof, they were suppose to replace the roof flashing but instead, they repaint it to make it look new. I got upset and told the owner to replace it, part of the agreement with home insurance. When they replace with new roof flashing, they spray it brown to match the roof color but also spray it on the shingles around the flashing, and looks bad.

Practically, I have to tell them everything that wasn't replaced or damages and they try to avoid coming back after I text them many times, and they said they will come and get it done but got 20% completed. Been doing that for 4 months and got tired of it. they are very unprofessional and will never recommended them.

P.S. do NOT give they the final check until you are absolutely sure that all the works on the roof is done, 100%, otherwise they will rip you off like they did to me.

They promise me that they get the job done by end of week and gave me the $500 check when I gave them the final check for roof repair. They said to use the $500 check if the repair isn't completed so I did. I went to the bank and deposit the check and came back with insufficient fund and took extra 500 off my credit card. The check was given another name of the company, wasn't from RGB.

Response:

[redacted] is one of the most difficult customers I have ever encountered. Mr. [redacted] got a free roof due to our efforts with his insurance company, along with a host of extras, but he always asks for more. We did his roof for him with no out of pocket cost- trading out his deductible for advertising credits, doing his flat roof for free in addition to his shingled roof, adding gutters to his house, and generally fixing up or adding on to the original estimate of repairs a number of other services. When we were done with his flat roof, he tried to get us to redo it because he claimed that it wasn't done! And he got it thrown in for free!

When he discovered that his ac ductwork had fallen into his attic, we offered to fix it- I still can't be sure it was our fault, but we agreed to take care of it. We set a number of times to come out, but he never responded. If he has a legitimate bill from a professional ac company that we can verify is real, I will be happy to reimburse him.

I would not recommend RGB-DC Properties to anyone. They promise everything and follow through on nothing. We continue to have leaks after they replaced our entire roof. It was impossible to get them out to finish the job. All they want is the check. If you use them, make sure they actually do the work that they claim to.

Review: we contracted with RGB Restoration to remove old and reinstall a new roof on our home. The work began on January 15, 2014. The Rolled roofing was completed by a rookie crew who [redacted]@RGB admitted they had never used before, but tried them because they were cheap. Rolled roofing over the patio cover is wrinkled and improperly installed. [redacted] has been saying he would return to my home and "roll out the wrinkles", but we have yet to have that completed.

The chimney flashing was never installed during the original roof install, so he had "a guy" come back to install flashing on 2/9/14. This must have been another rookie installer as the flashing is improperly installed. [redacted] returned to look at it and agreed that it is not a correct install and that he himself would teardown and install new flashing to code.

The shingle installers used the incorrect long nails around the eaves of our home. The long nails protrude thru the bottom of the eave plywood, and have chipped thru, showing the nails on the underside of the eaves. [redacted] and [redacted] have offered to clip the nails, putty and paint, however this could potentially void our shingle warranty according to them. I want my warranty in place, so they have also offered to cover the eaves/soffit with another product. Another option is to remove the damaged plywood and shingles, install NEW undamaged plywood and NEW shingles with the correct nails to begin with. (this would be my preference)

[redacted] texted me on Thursday, Feb 27 and said "We'll be there Monday" to start the repairs. It is Tuesday at 8am, March 4, 2014. No contact from them. These 3 items are still not repaired. We are 48 days into a 4 day job and I haven't seen or heard from anyone at RGB Restoration since Thursday Feb 27.Desired Settlement: I need these 3 items repaired to our satisfaction by a Qualified, Experienced contractor asap. I also need my warranty information in writing.

Response:

We have been, and continue to be, in constant contact with the homeowner, in fact as recently as Friday, March 14th, 2014. We were working on the job all week, and will continue to work on the job until it is done. All of her complaints and issues have been addressed and corrected, and we will be wrapping up the last part of the job this week (by March 21).

The job has taken longer than any of us wanted, due to unforeseen circumstances, but we have spoken to the [redacted] and they will be satisfied by the end of the week.

Review: I hired RGB Restoration and Builders to repair wind damage to my 15' X 33' patio roof covered by insurance.

It is now 10 weeks and the work is still not completed. I may get a phone call stating that the main worker Mike will be back on the site later in the day or the following day. I am offered some excuse, but Mike doesn't show up. This has been going on for 10 weeks. I call or text Mike, or the owner George A[redacted] Again little or no responce. Mr. A[redacted] requested the insurance check be given to him for him to begin the work. I complied with the request and signed the check over to him. The work did begin the following Thursday. After 4 weeks of intermittant site work the employee was fired. Mike was to replace him. Mike assured me he would finish the work within days. That is now 6 weeks later and work is still not complete. Every couple days he would text saying some excuse for the no show and would ssay he'd be there the next day. I hear nothing the next day or two, then another text with excuse and plan to finish. This is continual and not yet resolved.Desired Settlement: Finish the job. No more delays or excuses. Get done and get out. Close this business.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

Regards,

[redacted] Mr. A[redacted] is correct on the amount of the insurance check. I stand corrected on that issue, and apologize for my error in that. Mr. A[redacted] was quick in the initial start date. However, the man he chose to do the work was intermittent in his work, often working a few hours and then leaving to get tools, leaving to pick up a child in Buckeye, being gone on a family trip, truck having been impounded, etc. This was over a 3 week period. He called me to inform me that he was fired by the company. Late in the following week I was contacted by Mike, that he would be finishing the job. He would be back in Az the following week. He contacted me the next week and informed me that he would repair the drywall, (promised by Mr. Alpers), and would also do a further repair around my chimney because he did not like the quality of the job done by the previous worker. Mike also indicated that he would paint the area where the drywall was to be repaired. Over the next several weeks Mike would show up with a he[redacted] or two and work a little while on the drywall. Mike tore out additional drywall saying it would be a better fix and make his work simpler. There was no mention of any additional cost, in fact Mike said the company would cover any additional work. Over the next 6 weeks mike said he would be here a number of times, and would not show up. I have the text messages to verify at least 12 no shows. Mike did put up several sheets of new drywall, he also applied texture although very poorly. Not even closely matching the skip trowel texture of the majority of the patio ceiling. He did seal the drywall, but before he had done a final sanding. The paint sealer was sprayed and was not taped or masked off so areas of house, and trim had overspray on them involving 2 colors. Mike said he would take care of any issues. That was 2 weeks ago. Mike has not been back, apparently fired on the 18th of Sept. I called and texted Mr. A[redacted] several times during this whole ordeal to find out who might be coming, and when. For the most part I was not called or texted back. This entire process has been over approximately 10 weeks, and the work still incomplete. I have sanded the drywall, painted the ceiling of the patio, re-painted where it had been over sprayed. Purchased and installed trim damaged by Mike when he removed it. I have worked with professionals in the construction trades for over 40 years. I have never seen a business operated in such a shoddy manner, or seen such poor communications, ever. More than 18 no shows with little or no communication until a day or two after the fact, if at all. The property did not require any special access or permission to continue the work. The couple of times Mr. A[redacted] did contact me I was either misinformed, or ignored. Mr. A[redacted] makes it sound as though I was at fault. He was given payment when payment was requested. Payment was received by a representative the Monday following my receipt of it which was not 6 weeks after claim was submitted but at most 3. Mr. A[redacted] initially stated the work would be completed within a week, it was not completed by his company at all. Mike left a mess from drywall work on the covered patio and on the brick patio adjacent where he cleaned up his tools. It was promised by him that the area would be power washed, which was never done. Any work that was to be done over the claim was offered without my asking, or any mention of additional payment. THe initial scope included drywall repair, verbally Mr. A[redacted] agreed to repair a leak around the chimney. I did ask for that to be done, Mr. A[redacted] said before he left with the signed agreement that his company would take care of that. I cannot emphasize more the poor quality of this company, it's owner, it's project management, customer service or communication proceedures.

We worked with Eric at RGB to get our roof replaced due to hail damage. He was very professional and explained the whole process in detail. We would like to thank him and his crew on how fast and efficient they were able to put the new roof on. It looks wonderful. We would highly recommend RGB to our family and friends and anyone else needing a roof replaced.

We are happy to give praise where praise is deserved.

Thank you very much.

After having good service from the work crew with putting on new shingles after storm damage, it took 6 phone called and over 2 months to get a single roof vent installed that was forgotten. I received 10 phone calls in less than 18 hours wanting to know when they would get paid even though the work was not complete. Very poor attitude and no follow up on the vent

I found RGB Restoration and their staff to be highly professional throughout the entire process. During the bid, other companies acted like they could care less one way or another if they received my business, RGB proved to me they wanted my business. They gave me an estimated date and came close to meeting that date. RGB installed the shingles, underlayment and vents swiftly and professionally. They even painted my vents with a complementary color, Once completed, I walked the roof and found a couple of shingles the were scuffed. The foreman already knew where they were and replaced them immediately. When I went to their local office to make final payment, I mentioned that one of the vents had come off. A repairman beat me home and reinstalled it. I highly recommend RGB and give them a 5 star rating!

Review: RGB replaced the roof material on my roof 10/16/2013. I noticed that they had removed and covered up the evap cooler duct work that was on the roof before they worked on it ,the ac unit was turned on its stand and flashing was missing in one area. When balance of payment was collected 11/07/2013 I pointed out said issues to [redacted] who said someone would be out to correct the flashing and ac issues and the evap cooler issue would be handled when I was ready to install my cooler. After many calls and the start of this run arouud game someone was sent to repair the flashing and ac issue 01/29/2014. After going through all this trouble for the flashing and ac unit I ask that RGB restore my evap cooler duct work as they found it and that was 01/30/2014. I have talked to three different employees who have told me that they would take care of my cooler issue and have been dealing this run around game for some time now. Here it is 03/21/2014 and I am still waiting for RGB to complete what this job.Desired Settlement: Replace/reinstall evap cooler duct work and reseal and seal duct work as they found it

Response:

Everything [redacted] requested by us was responded to promptly- the only thing that remains is to restore his swamp cooler duct, even though this makes no sense. He originally asked us to remove the old swamp cooler and duct, and seal it with shingles, which we did. This is appropriate even if you later are going to put a swamp cooler back on. Since he has no idea what model he is installing, invariably the size duct we are installing will have to be replaced anyway with the appropriate size for the new unit. Nevertheless, we have been calling [redacted] and stopping at his house every day for the last three weeks, and he neither answers the door nor answers either one of his phones. Messages are not returned. The material (duct and shingles) to install the duct have been dropped off and been at his house for over a month, but we need access to his attic crawl space to do the job. Please call us and tell us when we can come finish the job.[redacted]or [redacted]
