I have received two calls from Rhapsody.  I tried to explain what the problem was and the only response was that I had canceled my account.  I tried to explain the canceled account was an old account that reopened when I signed up for the trial period.    I canceled that one and tried to open a new trial under a different email address.  I was given a pop up window that said  I could get 3 months for a dollar and then $9.99 begining with the 4th month.  I paid thru PayPal and that is still pending.  All I can get out of Rhapsody is concerning the old account.  They can not find the account that was opened under the new email.  When I tried to access the new account, it opened the old account.
They want to try to handle everything by email and that is not acceptable.  All numbers for Rhasody have been disconnected.

this complaint that you have been charged for $14.99 when you had opted for $9.99 while trying to cancel the account. However, we do not request for the same and we did not receive any previous contacts pertaining to this issue. There was account under the email address [redacted]@gmail.com, that was canceled online on 07/18/2016. Since the account was canceled, we will ensure that you will not be billed for this account in future.
 
An evaluation of our obligations to collect and remit sales tax and have determined that because of recent state law changes, we are required to charge sales tax in many states. Several states have passed the so-called "Amazon tax" (NY, RI, NC) requiring remote sellers with certain minimum connection within the state to collect and remit sales tax. In addition multiple states have recently passed laws subjecting various digital products to sales tax (IN, MS, NC, TN, VT, WA, WI).
 
As a part of incontinence we have refunded 3 charges of $9.99 in the amount of $48.96, Please allow a few days for the refund to post.

We are in receipt of your complaint through Revdex.com. I am sorry to hear that our resolution is not upto your satisfactory. We tried to contact you multiple times but it reached voice mail. Upon checking your account information with your name and email address, we were able to locate an account under the email [redacted] there was an account created on 05/03/2016 was already canceled online. We will ensure that this account will not be billed in future. However, you said you had created another account with [redacted], but we are unable to locate that account. We have an option to locate the [redacted] account with the Invoice ID which you can find on the [redacted] statement. If you can contact us with that Invoice ID, we would be able to locate the account and cancel the same.

from Napster. There was account under the email address [redacted], that was created on 10-16-2013 for a monthly Napster Premier Subscription with Verizon billing. We do not have control over the Verizon billing and we found that you had contacted them and canceled the subscription. We see that you have been with Napster for more than 3 years, hence we offered a special billing and as per your request we have activated Napster Premier $1 plan for 3 months (First month free,2nd month you will be charged $1, 3rd month free and from 4th month onwards you will be billed for $9.99) If you have additional questions or concerns please contact help.napster.com. Thank you, Napster Customer Support.

charge of $95.90,which is an authorization hold, when you tried to upgrade to Annual subscription and later downgraded to monthly subscription. The amount held is temporary and not a charge. Your credit card company controls the amount of time it takes to release the hold. The hold may temporarily reduce the amount of available credit on your card.

The account was already canceled due to non-payment on 07/04/2016 . We will ensure that this account will not be billed in future. If you believe someone has fraudulently used your credit card, contact your card company immediately. They have a process to investigate and depending on the outcome of that investigation may refund charges to you.Napster has no way to independently obtain your information. tracks in the .Rax format in October 2010.  We had sent four emails between 2010 and November 2011 to all consumers who had purchased .Rax tracks through RealNetworks or Rhapsody.  Each of the four emails alerted .Rax tracks owners that Rhapsody would be discontinuing .Rax support and we provided instructions on how to safe guard the .Rax tracks to ensure access to the music after the .Rax server was turned off.On November 7th 2011, thirteen months after Rhapsody provided initial notice that .Rax tracks owners needed to back up their music files to audio CD,. Rhapsody provided a grace period of 30 days after the server shutt-off to provide customer support and refunds for .Rax tracks that consumers had not backed up.I'm sorry to hear your frustration in not being able to burn audio cd’s from the Rhapsody purchased tracks in the new version of the Rhapsody software, however, as our product and technology itself evolves, we add new technologies and end support for others. As stated in the Rhapsody Terms of Use: "RI also reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, functions and features of the Application and Service(s) with or without notice." Review: I am trying to get money back from rhapsody that I was unaware they had been taking for many months without my consent. I was unaware of this until yesterday [redacted] november 2015 when a rep from pay pal told me how to stop roku doing the same thing. The rep showed me a page on my paypal acct that showed businesses taking money without my consent and how to stop them doing it. I signed up for a free acct on rhapsody starting nonember ** 2013. Well after cancelling this acct rhapsody continued to take money from my bank acct without my permission for the sum of $169.83. I have spoke to rhapsody five times now. I spoke to [redacted] and hamilton the supervisor and hamilton told me if I sent proof that I had emailed them prior to the march 2015 date I would be refunded all of my money. I emailed proof from my computers history showing there were two previous emails to them cancelling my service and yet now they have gone back on that and apparently they can't authorize it. I am annoyed and frustrated that they keep saying they will refund all my money and then come up with another excuse. Please please help me, thankyouDesired Settlement: refund of $169.83 back to my bank account, not [redacted]

Review: This is the second time that the Rhapsody app on my iPhone 4S crashed, taking my whole database of songs with it, and forcing me to redownload all those songs. I pay close to $100 a year to be able to download (and keep, for listening only), these songs. The first time the program crashed Rhapsody was nice about it and extended me a free month's worth of subscription (for January 2015). I am not trying to get something for nothing. This really did crash again. When I emailed Rhapsody to tell them about it, all I got was a "sorry it crashed again" and no offer to compensate the inconvenience. What they did try to do was to set up a time to speak with a technician over the phone. Several problems with this: (1) the hours they gave for availability comprise my working and commuting hours put together - hours I usually actually need my phone to be available; (2) why should I use up my time and my money (cell phone bill $$) going over with them, a technical problem that THEY are supposed to fix; and (3) the fact that they are trying to get a tech to talk to me says to me either that (a) they are calling me a liar and are trying to show that their app could not have crashed as I said, or (b) trying to find some other way out of what is rightly their responsibility.Desired Settlement: Once again, what would be fair would be a proration of service, even by another month, an actual admission of responsibility on their part (it is their app), an apology both for the inconvenience and for the curtness of their most recent email to me, trying to set up a tech call, and an assurance that this problem will not happen again!
