Robinhood Financial Reviews (%countItem)

I noticed on a bank statement that Robinhood had a pending charge for $1100 to my checking account. I had no knowledge of this and attempted several calls and even more emails to their customer service to let them know a mistake had been made. This occurred around April 20. The charege was declined by my bank a few days later and I was charged a fee of $25 by the bank for the decline. Robinhood then also charged me $9 and siezed all my funds that I had in the investment app. Somewhere along the line around $1000 disappeared from my account. I was also banned from making investments on the app. As of April 27 I have not been able to speak with anyone affiliated with Robinhood and $20,000+ has been siezed and $1000 has been taken from my account. I won't be able to pay rent or to buy food.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: the business sent me an email saying they would not release the siezed money and they did not offer to fix any of the issues that have been causing me financial harm. The email ended with a link to their customer support which is the same place I have sent dozens of emails that have gone unanswered.

Sincerely

Horrible customer service response time. I had recently been approved for their banking system called "Cash Management" whereas they give you a debit card linked to your Robinhood account, complete with routing and account number, so that you may use it to spend/pay bills, etc.

Well, made a payment towards one of my credit cards with said account. A few days later, my credit card had restricted my account up until they could verify this new payment account with Robinhood. They needed a statement (with my name and bank account number listed for proof) or someone at Robinhood to speak to for their verification purposes.

I am having -the most- difficult time getting a reply from Robinhood's customer service team regarding this situation. There is nothing within the app that shows a statement with my name or the new bank account number on it to show proof, and customer service has not replied in days.

I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place because there is nothing I am able to do to remedy this matter since Robinhood is so unresponsive.

I will 100% stop using Robinhood because of this and will advise others to do the same as they are a headache to deal with if you have an issue.

Also, yes there are trading fees, the customer is just not made aware of them.

I am new to investing, and unfortunately I learned the hard way that Robinhood lies when they say $0 commission trading. I had doubled my money on some option calls and sold and was looking to rebuy other options. I found some options that I thought I liked and purchased at Robinhoods recommended bid price. The next day my share price went from $0.99 per share (I bought 20 contracts of 100 shares), and $1.40 per share (10 contracts of 100 shares). Well newsflash, once the purchase went through I was given the contracts at $0.01 per share. They never sent me a trade confirmation, and deleted the purchase from my account history. I reached out to customer service to find out what happened and they told me options area risky. Well after 3 weeks of being denied any documents, any confirmation of purchase, I finally realized the recommended price they had was not the price they were selling at. They were valued at $0.01 per share. Well Robinhood denies any wrongdoing, but they obviously paid themselves all of my money. Literally 30% of my portfolio into their accounts. 30 emails asking them to provide a refund for the difference in value since it says the contract will be honored at the lowest price up to my bid, they just send me an excel sheet that says, "See we charged you all this money and now the worthless contracts." I only made 16k a year before losing my job, and now robinhood conned me out of most of my savings. When I have reached out to other customer service agents, none of which will provide me with their names, contact information, or credentials, they all tell me that I already have a case number and to just email that guy. Well that guy must be my broker, and he robbed me blind.

I’ve been pretty happy with almost everything about the app. I got it April 9 and it has been great. It took longer to transfer over my money than I expected, that is the only thing they could do better do far.

Had an account for about 2 days made a second deposit and have been locked out ever since, every time I try to log in I get told that they will send me log in instructions to my email and get nothing.

I really wanted to like Robinhood but for no reason their two factor authentication system stopped working. I log in with my correct login and password and no email or text is received. I have tried to contact them over the past 48 hours to no avail. I have no idea if my money has been stolen or accout hijacked. I do not see how they can keep their licenseif there is no way to contact them within a 24 hour cycle?

I have never had a problem with the Robinhood platform. I have deposited, withdrawn cash, bought and sold stock with no problems at all. In fact, one thing I love about them is that funds are available for immediate use when you make a deposit. Otherwise you would have to wait 2-3 days with a big name broker for funds to settle. I think a lot of people that use these robo apps are inexperienced and confused about how brokerages and investing work. I'm not picking on anyone especially those that have legitimate complaints. I hope they get them worked out. It's just that if you look up any of these apps (Robinhood, M1 Finance, Acorns, etc.), they all get bad reviews. That's why I feel that there is a lack of understanding about how these apps work. But again, I hope those that have a real issue on these apps will get the problem solved.

Robinhood prevented me from closing a trade due to issue with system and no one being able to contact the company to fix the issue in time. I lost over 10k because of system glitches during this corona virus period. I have emails and messages from me sending to the company Robinhood

Lost over $1000 and sent an email to Robinhood proving via a step by step accounting on how I was affected by their outage. They responded quicker than they’ve ever responded before (likely meaning that they didn’t actually review my case) and offered me a $75 good will credit to consider the matter closed. It seems they are spamming this good will credit without actually reviewing the cases in the hopes customers who lost money due to their negligence will forfeit claims of damages. Either way I would like them to seriously review my case and compensate me accordingly.

I truly dont understand where all the negative reviews are coming from! I love this. It takes a little bit of free time and a partially obsessive personality, but this is the easiest money I've ever made. I took a huge risk and cashed in my pension, threw it into my Robinhood account, and six weeks later, I more than doubled my ten year pension's gross value. Thanks RH. You guys rock.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We appreciate our customers so much!

Have been having issues with Robinhood for the last 3 weeks along with many others I am sure. My recent issue has been for some reason, my account has been locked out to open new positions and now within the last two day I have been unable to access (withdraw) cash from my account. I have not used any margin and have more cash in the account than what I am trying to withdraw. error message keeps tell me " withdrawal disabled". Have sent countless emails with only one response yesterday stating to me that the account has been unlock and positions can be open which is not the case. Still locked. as of 3/27/2020 10:19am central. I keep getting a robo email saying we are working to get to our customers as quickly as possible. Two weeks for one response that did not work, does not work for me. Terrible! I am working from home answering emails all day for work. Why cant Robinhood? Especially when it involves someone money

Robinhood provides an unreliable product which has crashed numerous times on several significant trading days. They have not provided any meaningful relief or compensation to customers who suffered damages. What's worse, is that they have a non-existent customer support team. This company needs to be shut down.

TERRIBLE.
They blatantly violated Regulation E in my case, and literally not even care. I tried and tried to just get things solved by them, but all I got was flipping and flopping about why they wouldn't help me. Will probably be filing charges against them because of how disgusting their actions here were. also, how is this app an "editors choice" on the apple store? the services are TERRIBLE.

Upon downloading the "Robinhood" app, I noticed they ask for a social security number, called for by the "US PATRIOT ACT" which seems to have expired and is no longer in effect.

On the 2nd March, 2020 and 3rd March Robinhood failed to meet the demand of the investor. A lot of us lost of our money due to their outage. I lost move than 5K and lost even more. I couldn't regain anymore after losing my money because of their failed platform which is unacceptable. Robinhood should be banned from their service

I've reached out MANY times at this point to get some answer on what they plan to do about not being able to cancel orders on 3/2/2020. After placing 2 orders off-hours, I found new information and went into Robinhood's app to cancel these orders. I could hit the cancel button, but it would just load and load and load and never cancel. Even late into the day, it still had these orders as pending so I was hoping maybe they would just hold off if they were having problems with their tech. It happens.

No. I find the next day, still having app issues, they had executed these orders at random times throughout the day and those times just so happen to coincide with these stocks peak prices. So not only did orders go through that I didn't want, they were executed at the absolute worst times.

I've reached out. Received an email asking for more details. Provided. Never heard back. Reached out again only to never hear a word from them.

How can you say customer service is #1 if you don't even respond to your own CS inquiries? Bad look for a company where trust is a critical factor. You're handling my money. Executed trades because your tech went down, and now aren't resolving it?

I opened up an account with them I had so many problems.
9 days ago I tried to purchase a stock from them and an error message appeared saying the transaction didn't go through so I tried again with a lesser amount and it went through and I noticed the other purchase went though as well. I complained about it to no avail terrible customer service. Then it took several days to go through and when it did it would not let me dump the stock because the service was down for 2days. Look on Twitter to verify the outage. I then reversed my bank deposit because it wasn't working. Now they want me to pay for their errors. I only owe approximately 26 dollars and the are charging me $57. Can you please investigate. Thank you

please see attached letter that was sent to the customer. Thanks!

I requested a brokerage transfer from Robinhood to another institution and Robinhood submitted a transfer for the wrong number of shares, in fact they processed a triplicate transfer which caused issues at my other institution and I was not able to do any stock trades. I was by the other institution that the same was done with a large number of other clients. I believe they are doing this out of spite because they are loosing clients to other brokerage firms. To make matters worse they assessed a $75 fee for the transfer.

I have now lost several thousand dollars because of the cunning way they are purposefully doing the transfers.

They need to be held accountable.

I downloaded ROBINHOOD app about 2-3 weeks ago I had a account set it up, and this monday March 09,2020 I logged out and tried to log back in and it gave me the error "unable to login with provided credentials" I emailed robinhood about 10 times since then because I cannot log into my account or cannot reset password because the email is wrong I beleive when I opened the account I might have made a typo because I have not been receiving any emails on the account, At this point I cannot log into my account , I received 1 email asking for my last 4 of my social/ email / and DOB, I wrote back with the information but told them that the email is probably wrong. They are terrible at responding to emails, they have not responded back yet,its been 4 days I a cannot log into my account, I even made a new account up with same details they rejected the account because they said I already have an account, which is good at least that account is still there. my first account has 6000 dollars worth of investments and I cannot log in and I dont know why I cant log in at this point. Revdex.com please help me locate robinhood somehow, they do not respond to any emails, and they dont have a phone number. PLEASE HELP . ALL I WANT IS MY ACCOUNT LOGIN.

I was trying to transfer $2500 from my bank to robinhood before their service outrage. But since the first everything was locked up, I called my bank to cancel the transfer, which caused my robinhood account to be restricted for trading and moving money. I had requested on Mar. 4th to remove the restriction of my account. Robinhood only respond on Mar. 9th, and the Case ID is *** However, no more feedback till now. I only need them to remove the restriction so that I can trade and move money. But not feedback from them.
