To address the number of days drying we never truly know a solid amount of days it will take to dry out sill plates, especially when they are under a foot of water for an extended period of timeIts our responsibility as restorers to get the sill plates completely dry before we take out equipmentWe accomplished this task, the additional 228$ on her power bill if shown to her insurance company will be reimbursed to her once she shows the difference between the month of the loss and the month priorThe pressure washing of the floor and walls was documented by the technicians with photos taken during this process and was done when the customer was not at home so it’s a statement to say it was never doneWe adjusted our original estimate for the insurance company to only one extraction which has to be done after you add water during the pressure washing portion of the restoration projectYou will also see a picture of this in our fileWe offered to come back out and attempt to clean the staining in the corners of the basement which didn’t for from this loss but it present in most older basementsHomeowner was stating the precence of cob webs in the basement was why she was certain we didn’t clean anythingCob webs don’t go away easily with the pressure spraying because most cob webs are very strong and water resistant and the water beads right off of them, besides this point we offered to have the guys come back out and sweep and clean up the cob webs with dusters to try and make her happyWe were quickly denied and told she doesn’t want Roto-Rooter back into her homeThe pressure spraying is done to clean up the small microbial contaminants that are left behind from a category type of waterWe accomplished this with the pressure spraying and application of anti- bacterial sprayWe attached a picture of the pressure sprayer with the anti-bacterial spray in it being applied in her basement Adam Zweck

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] ________________________________________________________________________________... [redacted] T [redacted] *** [redacted] December 12th, MrKen Anderson Roto-Rooter Services Company Exit Parkway Fishers, IN Dear MrKen Anderson: Again in response to your letter dated 12/11/I would like to add the following I admit that I was off by lbs on the weight of the retaining wall blocks as you can see in the attachment Not sure which model you were quoting in your response but these are very different than what you thought you had worked with Also there were blocks moved, on the bottom row and on the top row I have also included a picture showing how the dirt was left piled up against the front of the house I wish now I would have taken a picture of the actual job site and how it was left in that it would make this a much easier discussion You did not respond to the point I made about Roto-Rooter first sending out a person to clean the Sewer Clean Out and before he started stated that a person would also be coming out to view the Sewer Clean Out after he completed his job, which cost $and then to find that the service he performed did absolutely no good in trying to correct the problem I am sorry we are trading these letters back and forth, but I truly feel that the Company, or maybe just certain divisions within the company, are focused on nothing more than company profit no matter what level of customer service is provided Sincerely, [redacted] T [redacted]

As stated in the previous response, we are not responsible for work performed by another person or companyWe gave a recommendation based on what we could see in our camera that we showed youThe pictures you posted after you did the work obviously show the new pipe that was installed which tells us the old piping was bad as, as the technician statedThere is no negligence or misdiagnosis on our part, and we are firm on our stance

We have recevied payment from the insurance provided and are processing a refund check of $to the customerThe check is for customer satisfaction

We would like to sincerely thank Mr [redacted] for bringing this matter to our attention and taking the time to help us identify a serious personnel issueAll organization get an individual who does not "care" to follow company guidelines and practice proper personal accountability from time to time We have used this information and taken severe action to remove this behavior from our organizationThis was simply not a representation of the work our employees do on a daily basis and has angered many of us who do portray the Roto-Rooter philosophy of customer careMr [redacted] has proposed a final settlement of $1,for services Roto-Rooter has performed and we formally accept this settlement and will remove the remaining balance from his account We want to thank the Revdex.com for their assistance in this matter and again thank Mr [redacted] for his time and patientsSincerely,Ron TrebecRoto-Rooter Services Co[redacted] Division

The manager of this area has already reached out to this customerUnfortunately, there is nothing we can do for this customerThe pump was already broken upon our technicians arrival and noted this on his paperwork which the customer signed agreement to

Roto-Rooter Services CompanySouth AvenueWest Seneca NY 14224April 18, [redacted] Revdex.comReference I.D# [redacted] Job Address: [redacted] ***Dear [redacted] :9/16/we cleaned a sanitary sewer lateral from the fresh air inlet/ trap located on the front lawn of the homeAnunknown blockage was found trap backThe service had a month warrantyWe did return the next day when the toilet wasbacking upWe resolved the issue at no charge to the customer.About months later, 12/06/the sewer was backed up againWe cleaned the line again under the warrantyStones werefound in the trap and we were able to remove themAt no charge we camera inspected the sewer and we were unable to seeany issues that would explain why the sewer had stones in it.On 3/24/17, just over a week past the expired month warranty, we returned and cleaned the sewer again at no chargeWeagain at no charge camera inspected the sewerThe blockage was in the trap.We could not see anything that would be conclusive to indicate why the sewer would repeatedly back upThe sewer is old.The stones could have been dropped by someone down the vent or they could be from a bad joint that is not visible with thecameraA bad joint could also allow water to leak out causing the solids to remain and buildup in the pipeWe suggested arepair to replace a section of the sewer that had multiple bend fittingsThe customer stated that they were not interested infixing anything nor receiving a quoteWe also did attempt to open a natural storm drain from the basement at no chargeThecustomer was not interested in a quote for a repair. In conclusion, we cleaned the sewer and honored the warrantyWe provided free camera services and cleaned the line afterthe warranty had expiredWe suggested a possible repair and the customer was not interestedIt is unfortunate that whenthe sewer backs up, it backs up into the washing machineThe washing machine discharge pipe is improperly installedThedischarge hose is inserted directly into a drilled hole in the top of the hung sewer pipe in the basement. We are declining the customer’s request for a full refundIt is unfortunate that the customer feels that they received no valuein the services they were provided and some cases weren’t charged forWe always strive to satisfy each and every customer. But sometimes repairs are required.Sincerely,David [redacted]

On June 30, we excavated and replaced the Main Sewer LineWe started the excavation out front of the customers flower bed, ½ feet in front of the foundation wall and replaced to the county connection On 07/29/a technician was called out to the customer and found a sump pump that was not workingThis is unrelated to the Main sewer line that we replacedWe installed a new sump pump, check valve and charged for parts onlyOn 07/31/we sent a crew to regrade the backfill per customer request On 08/30/I went out with a camera specialist to camera from a sump pump line tied into the subsoil drainage line, also known as a French drainThis line is located above the footer and is made of terracotta clay pipeWe ran camera from sump pump area into terracotta drain tileWe found roots in line and several gaps where terracotta pipe has pulled apart, leaving a significant gap and offsetsAround the foot mark , the pipe has a lot of mud in itWe could not pass FootRoto- Rooter located the area in basement floor about inches under concrete floorThe issue with water in Mr***’s basement is due to a waterproofing problem and an aged drainage system It is unrelated to the sewer line replacement

As stated in the signed landscape waiver, it takes several weeks or months for the dirt to settleThey could not put the or blocks back in place till after the dirt settled, and it was stated verbally and in the waiver that we were not responsible for putting those backAnd the blocks are pounds lighter than the stated lbs that he said, according to online specs on those blocksAs you can see in the picture attached, it was a small spot that needed backfilled, just as we stated before the digThis is a final notification of this completed job, and we will not be back-paying anything

We had an error submitting refund because the payment came from an insurance company not the customerWe have taken the action needed and will process to customer

Again, we have outlined the charges for pumping the water out of the customer's basement The customer signed the paperwork stating that they are responsible for any balance that insurance does not pay The balance stands as is

That is unacceptable, My insurance company called me & informed me that the check was cashed on September 18, It has been seven to ten business days three times over

Mr [redacted] and I discussed his concerns I let him know that I was very sorry that there were delays in his call being dispatched, and that is normally not the case We take call back's very seriously, and do our best to make sure the customer is taken care of and satisfied I explained that the confusion might have been because our tech who normally closes on Friday injured himself and was suddenly not able to work that night, so they may have been relying on getting a technician from Denver to come down for the call Mr [redacted] said that we did get out and get the line running, and did not charge him for the second service I also explained that the Water Restoration team is an entirely separate team from the service side of things, which is why their service was not able to be scheduled until Monday I let him know that I was happy they were able to give him accurate expectations so that he was able to call another company that was able to get to his restoration much faster Mr [redacted] does have some issues with his sewer line that might cause it to back up again, but I explained that there was a month guarantee, and made sure that he understood his options for more permanent solutions He stated that we covered all of his concerns, and I asked him to please let me know if he had any further concerns or questions

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below A gentleman, Paul Dye, was sent to the property to as the damage by the manager just last year when this issue came to lightAt that time an offer was made to level the ground and plant grass seedAfter I declined to have the company do any further work on my property communication stopped It is a run around where the company is refusing to speak with me regarding the situation and it appears that there is no resolution that can be reached on this matter This was an attempt to settle a situation before legal action which it appears that the company is not willing to negotiate or arbitrate as their agreement states Unfortunately for the company, if resolution can not be met I will have no choice but to seek the full amount of damages as specified by the contract which equates to much more than this initial request Being a disabled individual who suffered a secondary injury as a result of the negligence of the company, this is appalling to me and I will be notifying the ADA, the local investigative source and will not be removing my review on the company on any site to which it has been postedAdditionally, I will be retaining legal counsel and filing claim for the full amount allowable by contract and law Regards, [redacted]

General Manager Keith Austin called [redacted] this morning and apologized for the failure to service her issue in a timely mannerShe was happy that I took the time to follow up on this matter and that it was important to Roto-RooterI gaver her my personal cell phone number to contact me directly in need of any future plumbing repairs

11/9/3:54pm Frank [redacted] - Restoration Manager left a message on customers voice mail to call him back on his cell number (he can be reached at any time)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] The work performed was not to my satisfaction the first guy who came he knew how to unclog drains, he wasn't a plumberAnd he said that he was standby and they call him as a standbyHe spent over two hours at my house and nothing got done, and he ruined the pipes that we purchased, then he called RotoRooter and they said that they would send a master plumber the next daySo, the next day, I spoke with the master plumber (that wasn't a master plumber) that the other guy did a poor job and he had to correct his mistakes, and that there was piece missing that he couldn't do his job, he said there was a clamp there was supposed to go around the pipes so it wouldn't leak, and he put some sort of plastic around it, and when I turned my dishwasher on, it started leaking and I didn't want to ruin my cabinets so I put a pot underneath to catch the dripping waterThen I contacted RotoRooter to tell them what happened, and they said they would get the same guy to come back out to fix, and he came back, and told me that it should be fixed, and it wasn't again, and I didn't call back because I didn't want them to do it, so I called the contractor who remodeled the kitchen, he put the pipes together and it's running goodThey sent me a check for $that I asked for back in June for the coupon and they sent it I want to say near end of August or beginning of September, all it does it takes off the discount it doesn't take into account the pipes that I purchased and it doesn't take into account the person that I had to hire to fix what they had messed up three timesThe balance would be $of a refund
