Tech was over 2 hrs late from confirmed appt. Dispatch kept saying he's 12 min away for over an hour. He arrives and clearly doesn't want to do anything. Quotes 4x the highest price on planet earth and can't leave fast enough.
Don't waste your time with them.

Roto Rooter came to my house as they always do every 2 to 3 years to unclog my washer drain from the roof it has always been under 200.00 dollars but now they want to charge me over 800.00 for the same services to go up on the roof. This is highway robbery.

Backup from bent pipe connecting to sewer caused several related issues. Had nearly dryers/dehumidifiers on first floor and basement for weeks. After they were removed a new leak sorung from a section which they had replaced which required filing a second insurance claim. Had Roto Rooter then told me I needed their $800 per hourexpert plumber to jackhammer my basemnt ffloo9r and replace connectio0n e to sewer pipe. Not Iin the original estimate of $20,00. I HAD TO PAY ALL PLUMBING COSTS UNCOVERED BY INSURANCE, which were very high for this new added service. I paid everything as it was done. I then hired a differed plumber who completed the work in a tijmely and excellent manner the next day without destroying the basement floor!. I paid for that repair out of pocket. Roto Rooter was "irritated" and began demanding money from me above the approve4d insurance claim for the first two claims. All this happened just after my hubsand died. I ama 77 year old widow on SS/ I SOLD MY HOUSE AND AM R ENTING AS A RESULT OF THE COSTS AND STRESS DURING MY EXPERIENE WITH TOTO ROOTER. I am legally blind as well, and now the company is threatening me with legal action and court/atty costs if I do not immeditele pay another $4300. I feel really trapped, and do not have that kind of money just lying aroung. There was no contract with ROTO Rooter for the final work, which I paid another plumber to complete. I paid them every dollar the insurance approved and more.

Jeremy did a great job, and told us exactly
what we needed to do to keep it from happening again. he was very knowledgeable and very polite young man. will definitely ask for him if I need their services again!

I live in the Atlanta area.

I called Roto Rotor to repair/replace my Sump Pump on 4 March 2023.

The Technician, Chris came and repair it and charge me $1,005. He said it was good to go and that I had a one year warranty. I paid the $1,005 by Credit Card.

Within a week the pump stop working again.

I call Roto Rooter again and they send someone to check out the issue as it was under warranty,

on 17 March a Technician, named Nick looked at the unit and determine it was not working and said it would cost me $1,600 to fix it.

I remind him of the warranty, but he said that it was not covered under the warranty as the previous technician did not fix the problem, but had only replace the float.

I believe that the warranty should be honoured or my $1,005 refunded.

I have called over 30 times and wrote numerous emails, but NOTHING.

called rotor rooter in Omaha, and 1st guy comes in and he is not the 'worker' which I didn't find out until I get a call on phone from rotor rooter saying tech is on his way, I said, he's here. Then I find this guy is the 'salesman of the scheme...says water damage is severe and all of bathroom floor needs replacing. He wants to see our home owner's policy so he can talk with our agent! I said I have never heard of such a thing and began asking questions..He was getting angry and starting saying, "i am giving you a deal and you don't want it." The DEAL he was talking about was that if we gave him our policy he would cut the $600 dollar price of our drain snaking to 300! Why would a service guy need my policy? The analysis for all this water damge was a 30 sec tap on my floor around toilet with a moisture meter! oh he tapped on the carpet in the hallway for another 30 sec. No damage there he says. I kept asking questions, phone rang and I went to answer it and he left! but the 2nd guy, the worker drone, came. He said 300 bucks if we can snake out blockage in toilet, but 600 if have to pull the toilet! My brother said go ahead. Well, he got the small snake and two minutes later says, he can't reach the clog, so have to pull toilet! He puts the bigger auto snake in drain opening and gets it stuck! Then guy 3 comes. I ask him why so many people in this company to do a job? He says they are all specialists like doctors and only do certain things! (he was arrogant and rude in his reply like that was the smartest answer ever given by a human being in the history of the world) Now he was there when the snake got stuck...some specialist guy 3 was, LOL, he couldn't even help the worker drone to get the snake unstuck...He then calls a 4th guy to come and help. (this is all taking hours mind you) Then the 3 stooges go outside and talk and come back in and say they can't unclog the drain and we would have to call someone else. They left a mess! They in mean time had talked to the "pitch man, guy #1 on phone. I heard part of the conversation from kitchen. They 3 stooges leave and bathtub fills with black sludge! 3-4 hours of waiting for different guys. It was clear it was a scam from beginning to end.
Needless to say, called another company...in less than 45 min. the two real plumbers snaked out the drain and emptied the sludge out of tub with shop vac, were polite and funny, and when told about Rotor rooter guys say, "that's how that company gets their commissions, so if they can get you to spend 10,000 on replacing your bathroom floor, they make the bucks. They have a deal going with a bathroom remodeling company to do the fix it work." Just to let you know, the floor was not damaged or rotten or anything...The real plumber said, "of course it's going to be a little damp around the toilet area, you had a leak, but nothing that won't dry right up. You had a back up in your drain for a few days out of 12 yrs you've been in the house. A little bit of water is not going to trash your whole floor in that short amout of time." So in around 40 min. the professional plumbers fix what Rotor Rooter couldn't figure out, cleaned up tub and charged a fraction of the 600 bucks! Those guys should be put out of business. I hope this review helps to that.

I scheduled an appointment one week in advance to have a toilet leak taken care of in my one bathroom home and when it was the day for my appointment they never showed up due to a miscommunication. They were supposed to be there between 12:00 and 4:00 and when it was 2:15, I called and they said they couldn't reach anybody when all they did was leave a voicemail saying when they would show up and never showed up. I was told that they could not get anybody to me after waiting one full week for my appointment. Not only did they not make an attempt to reschedule to get me taken care of asap after the miscommunication but they were rude and never bothered to apologize for the mistake.
The only reason I called them is because I never looked at their low ratings online before scheduling. Thankfully I found another plumber who was in the area and came out to fix my problem the same day so things still worked out okay with no thanks to Roto Rooter. I will never use them again.

In September of 2020 Roto Rooter Installed a new Richmond Water heater in my home. 8 months later the water heater went out and they came and again installed a Richmond Water Heater replacing the first one. That replacement just went out and I called Roto Rooter to come fix or replace the water heater. They would not come out but said I had to call Richmond and have them fix the problem. I stated they were the people I bought from and they should replace. They would not replace and got very rude. NEVER< NEVER buy or have Roto Rooter in your home or business!

2 days ago called Rotorooter Tuesday. Couldn't come out. So I made an appointment for Wednesday, 10 am. They didn't show up until 530 pmim so sorry for miss management ect. They snaked the drain cleared. Next day the drain was clogged again thurs day made an appointment for ten am. They showed up at 3 pm. Steve Pacheco was rude and wanted to charge 450 dollars to run a snake again. I told him this was a return call back. He said he still was going to charge me 450$ take a hike . It is Friday still have a clogged drain.

My kitchen sink needed a washer replaced; and my powder room fairly new toilet needed the water-valve replaced. I was charged $400 for labor and $100 for materials, totaling $500. However, when they replaced the water valve on the toilet, a leak sprung from another location (which was fine before they worked on) so they added another $200 which is close to the price for the fairly new toilet. $700 is "too" costly for the work that was done. Disappointed!

I live in a very rural area and needed plumbing help within 24 hours as the bathroom of my elderly mom was unusable. I spoke with Keisha in the business office and within 24 hours, RotoRooter had someone on-site. He was very professional and had a team member-in-training with him. The bill was pricey; however, sometimes you get what you pay for, and I think it was not excessive given they travelled into rural Mississippi and solved our plumbing problem. I will definitely be using RotoRooter in the future! Thank you Chauncy and Chris for a job well done.

Man from Roto Rooter came out within one day to check outside leaky faucet. He did go into the crawl space and said when I turned on the outside faucet, that the water was leaking a lot into my sub floor and crawl space. I have a manufactored home and the Roto Rooter man said in order to fix the leaking faucet it would cost me $429.00. He said I would also have to cut a 12 x 16 inch square into my brick foundation, using someone else in order for him to get in to fix my faucet. Checked around and found another plumber who went under the house and said that he could fix the leaking faucet for $150. No brick cutout was necessary. Therefore I hired this man who did fix the faucet for the stated price of $150. If I had used Roto Rooter I would have paid, with cutting my brick foundation more than $400 higher. Therefore, I would not recommend Roto Rooter looking to repair plumbing services of any kind. The are much higher than anyone else.

The company itself was wonderful! They got a technician out here the same afternoon I called. The tech however was horribly rude! First, we had just bought our home and from day 1 we had plumbing issues... the tech accused me of pouring tons of greese down the drain which I never do... Then, I had just had surgery a few days before couldn't even eat solid food yet, he is insisting I put my laundry away from the laundry room after he's gone by it for 2 hours already like it was suddenly in his way... I will NEVER use this company again!

I needed to have a kitchen faucet replaced. I did a search on-line to find Roto Rooter. I scheduled the service on-line and had a quick response. The came on Saturday at the time that was scheduled. The Plumber - Charles - was respectful of my home, clean and efficient. He was completed within an hour. The price was more than I had planned but the quality of service well made up for it. I would use Roto Rooter again and recommend to my neighbors and friends. Pam G

Both my neighbors ordered roto rooter drainage-clear services from "Down Spouts to Pop-ups" outside the house. I called for an appointment explicitly asking for the same service that my neighbors had received. The service guy arrived and told me the service costs about $1500 right from the get go prior to any inspection. When I asked why is this service cost so much, he said he would clear the pipe, and if there were any additional problems, find the problem and fix it. There are five drainage lines, one of the lines they said they couldn't clear it and couldn't locate the pop-up. As a result the water leaked in the middle of my yard. I was told to call a landscaping company to fix it, as they not do that. Needless to say, I was not very happy with how they acted on their "Find the problem and fix" promise, but I didn't say anything at the time. After they left, my neighbor went over to look at the problem area, and we noticed that roto rooter charged me 3 times more than what my neighbors had paid in addition to not fixing the issue. I was furious and canceled the check. I called the company complaining about this issue, the manager(Aaron) told me I got different service as well as a different technician. The manager told me the technician working for me was Eric and not Joe, citing this as well as the different service as cause for the 3x price difference. Upon asking what service my neighbor got versus what I got, I was told I received the Hyrdo-Jet service, while my neighbors only received the cable service. I called my neighbor to confirm if this was true, and they told me that they received the hydrojet service as well! In fact this service can't be done without pressured water, a 5 to 6 inch diameter pipe under the ground filled by dirt can't be cleared( and locating the popups) by a thin soft cable only. In the communication Roto rooter office, they keep say that I had an option to chose from the two different services, and I choose the ~ $1500 one, what a liar!

this co is very bad due to the fact I was given 2 est 1 for 2800 and the other for 1100 we decided that we had to go with the lower est ,When the work was done he charged us 1450 dollars ,when ask what happen to the 1100 he didn't have a very good answer ,later he came by the house and said they forgot to take the senior discount , So my mother got a check that was poorly written in my name the son the bill was in my mothers name when I e-mail them they wanted us to come to them,at there office we don't think we should have to jump in our car ,burn our gas to get this check Our whole experience with this org in Fontana CA was very bad I will never use this co again ,O by the way we are still waiting for the check

The service-person arrived on time, is courteous, and very thorough! He is a very hard-worker Would recommend
