Chad has taken care of our newly purchased home. He has eradicated every insect that we had too. Prior owners didn’t maintain this house but with Chad’s expert help, he has worked to remove all “bugs” that were here! We appreciate Rottler and most of all Chad!

Mark *** did a great job. I was referred to him through my brother and he too was very impressed with his service. Mark is prompt, courteous and we have no pest issues due to his services. He also assisted us in upgrading our insulation and we have already seen an improvement in energy efficiency. I would highly recommend the Rottler company and Mark *** in particular. We look forward to an ongoing business/service relationship.

I have contacted the accounting department at Rottler a few times regarding a billing error. There was an issue with the service we received with our lawn being treated. The technician only treated half the yard. My husband called and a supervisor came out and retreated the lawn and said the treatment was at no charge. They charged me for the treatment. I contacted them and explained that I was not to be charged and they turned it over to collections anyway. While applying for a home loan they made us pay the bill to the collections company to get it off my husbands credit report. I then again contacted the Accounting Manager who admitted that there were notes on the account that the treatment was to be at no charge and that she would check with the collections company to make sure I paid it. That was several months ago. I have the amount I paid to the collections company on my checking account.

Customer is correct that she had contacted our office
regarding a refund. After our last conversation with the customer, where we
discussed this refund, we communicated with our 3rd party collection
agency to verify that they had received the payment from the ***. It
was our understanding that we were waiting to hear back from the agency to find out if this
refund was being sent directly back to the customer or to us. We are
sorry that the customer has been pressed to continue her quest for the refund;
we believed the issue had been resolved and the collection company had sent the
customer a check. We sincerely apologize that this was not the case and
we have remedied that as of today. A check will be issued to *** for the full refund amount and should arrive by mail within 7-10 business days.

Terrible. Neighbors Squirrel traps failed 3 times. Squirrels injured, bleeding and dangling from roof while crying for hours. Could hear crying in every room of our house and see the blood on cement and neighbors house from squirrels trying to free themselves. They hung up on my husband when he called when 2nd squirrel fighting for his life then never showed up. We have video of this. 3rd squirrel was taken to animal rescue where we were told to report to the animal abuse hotline.

I paid $330.00 on May 28, 2019 to Rottler to get rid of moles. The service technician came to my house on June 6 and he put down traps and poison. He came again on June 13 and removed the traps because there were no moles in them and put down poison again. Now he came on June 24 and left me a paper that said "Please see email for details of today's service and charged me another $70.00. I was not home on the 24th or I would have asked him why I am being charged 70 dollars and it has not even been a month since service began! He also does not have my email address to leave details. I called Rottler today and they say I own for service in May. How can that be when I just paid on May 28th and they first came on the 6th of June. I do not think I should have to pay this 70 dollars and I am stopping service.

the area branch manager, had spoken with the customer prior to us receiving this notification of complaint. *** apologized for any misunderstanding, cleared up the standards of the service and offered to credit the $70 for the most recent service completed. After receiving the notification of complaint, *** contacted the customer again to make sure no further efforts were needed. Rich also sent customer reports of all completed services and offered additional complimentary services in order to satisfy the original conditions of service, as initially paid for by the customer. *** let the customer know that we are happy to do anything we can to make things right and to let us know if there is anything more we can do to help. The $70 for the most recent service has been credited to the account and will not be charged to the customer. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help. Thanks!

Failure to inspect my attic on the initial visit resulted in my paying for a wildlife service package costing $450 that was not needed. I had multiple conversations with personnel at Rottler. The last one was on March 20 when I requested a refund of $300 of the monies I paid. I was told I would receive a decision the same day. Today is March 28. I left a message for my contact at Rottler letting him know I was filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. He called back as I am writing this complaint to inform me the $300 refund has been authorized but will take up to 10 days to receive it. Since Rottler's performance on all fronts has been unacceptable, I am proceeding with the complaint should the refund not be forthcoming as promised.

Our original call and service for the customer was for squirrels in the attic. A visual inspection identified an opening in the gable vent on the right side of the home that squirrels had accessed. We recommended trapping and exclusion which we began on 2/6/19. We trapped for several days and had asked for access to the interior to inspect the attic when no further activity was being noted by trapping. On 2/25/19 we were able to access the attic, at that time no further squirrel activity was noted and we closed off the opening in the gable vent. The mice activity found, was in addition to the squirrel activity and had we addressed the mice activity first, it would have most likely prolonged the process including possible ongoing animal odors from dead squirrel carcasses.

The customer did not feel the squirrel work was of value when the mice activity was found. We understand their frustration however, we performed the wildlife service per the agreement and offered a solution to their mice problem. We could not come to an agreement on further services. To satisfy our customer we offered a refund of 50% of our initial services which they declined as unsatisfactory.

In an effort to appease our customer, as their satisfaction is our top priority, we met their demands of a $300 refund and began the refund process. The customer was not happy with the speed of the refund. And even though we had an agreement to refund to meet their demands, they without warrant contacted the Revdex.com. We attempted to refund the $300 through our credit card merchant 2 times and the request was denied. We then began the paper check refund which takes much longer to get to the customer.

We feel this complaint is unwarranted, without merit and for these reasons should be removed from our record. We have upheld our part of the agreement along with additional demands from the customer without the need for outside intervention. We wish them well with whatever service provider they choose in the future.

I am rejecting this response because:

I repeatedly asked for attic inspection on the initial visit but it was not performed. I worked as a consultant for many years and know from experience that the problem described by a client is not always the problem that needs addressing. In my opinion, Rottlers failure to perform a thorough inspection on the initial visit resulted in their recommending an unneeded service. Over several weeks of trap placement, NO SQUIRRELS WERE EVER CAUGHT. The evidence of squirrel activity doesn't mean that was the ACTIVE problem. Yes, I reported noise in the attic possibly caused by squirrels, but I believe it was Rottler's responsibility to perform a THOROUGH inspection to CONFIRM what was really going on in the attic. This did not occur and is the basis for my complaint.

The issue of squirrel carcasses is not relevant. My home is brick and plaster construction so there are no cavities where a dead carcass could become trapped and smelly.

When Rottler finally did inspect the attic, I was informed mice were under Pest Control, not wildlife trapping and there would be a recurring cost to address this. Of course I did not authorize this service but it did alert me to the fact that I had paid for a service that was not going to solve the problem I had.

Finally, re: the refund. At no time did I complain to Rottler about the 10 days I was told it would take to issue a refund check. I did mention to the friend that recommended Rottler to me that a credit to the credit card I paid with made more sense to me, and perhaps she passed this information on. I do appreciate that Rottler expedited the credit process.

I continue to be disappointed in Rottler. Instead of their defensive response to my complaint, the reasons for which were clearly stated in my report, if they had just apologized for not doing a thorough initial inspection and providing the refund, they might not have lost a customer and future referrals. For this reason I hope this complaint will remain visible on the Revdex.com website.

Before I had Rottler come in to my home to eradicate "pill bugs" a.k.a., "roly-poly's", I had these bugs coming in constantly to the point I assumed I was living on some kind of nest (ick!). Pest control company after pest control company promised that they could eradicate them, but no one ever did; no one could even prevent them from coming in. Then, finally, Rottler came in, and Tony, the technician on behalf of the company, came in and in just a few short treatments (which were extremely safe for my dog too, which is hugely important to me), these bugs are finally GONE! I had this problem for over 10 years, and before Tony did these treatments, I thought I would just end up having to move. I am so incredibly grateful to Tony and Rottler for their work as well as their professionalism and most importantly, their committed follow-through.

Extremely professional service tech- *** is my favorite but I’ve had others that were also excellent! They arrive on time - do a thorough job- my outside rodent boxes are rebaited when needed- no pests inside house — they treat for my moles- also check for termites- no problems - I highly recommend this company!

I’ve been a customer for more than 5 years and I have Rottler service my daughter’s house as well as my own. The technician is always very flexible about the time he arrives for service and once we set a time and date he’s always on time. Rottler has taken care of my regular pest control and wildlife. I received a phone call from a Rottler employee on July 10th indicating that he was at my home, allegedly performing services. I did not authorize any services to be performed, and was not at home when the employee alleged to be at my house. There is no way that they could have performed services since I was not at the house to let them in, yet Rottler billed my credit card the full $89 on July 12th. It has been over a month and no one from Rottler has contacted me to reschedule the services.

I reviewed my contract from Rottler to see where it stated that they can bill my credit card without my authorization and without completing the services and could not find any such language. However, I was alarmed to discover that the contract is not at all what the sales person had claimed to include. I was told that there are only three exclusions - mosquitoes, bedbugs, and termites, but the contract they sent me "Excludes termites, bed bugs, flying insects, mosquitoes, fabric pests, urban wildlife, wood-boring beetles, mold, snakes or fungus unless otherwise noted on this agreement." This is not what was agreed to. The employee even pointed out a carpet beetle on a window sill and said that they are covered, and we further discussed issues I was having with tiny flying black bugs. The contract does indicate "Customers preferred method of Contact : Text (preferred method),Email"; yet I never received any text messages or emails regarding a service being scheduled for July 10th.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of the inspector, and both technicians; *** was very personable and precise, and *** did a great job in filling in the holes left by the ground hog.
