Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I have attached my redacted Honda lease contract.  There are few items I want to have address.  1.  I...

did NOT ask for any optional Maintenance Contract.  So why did they charge me $850.00.  I request my funds be refunded immediately.2.  I was NOT aware I was going to be charged $1343.00 (rent charge) for my lease car.  I request that I be refunded that charge as well.3.  I want to know how much did they give me for my 2014 Honda Civic in excellent condition w/ 5617 miles on it? Because if the amount was low I would have never traded my car since I paid a majority of the loan on that car.4.  Why is my outstanding prior credit or lease balance $3750.00? 5.  I need to know what Annual Percentage rate they charged me in order to see if it was fair in connection with my Acquisition Fee charge $595.00.  I had and still do excellent credit at time of purchase so my interest rate should have been extremely low.
Regards,
[redacted]

Howard N reached out to the customer twice and left two messages asking for a call back. We are cancelling the Tire & Wheel warranty as well as the VSC warranty. The lien holder will receive a check for the cancellations of $2,800.

Review: I refinanced my vehicle on 7/31/15 with Route 22 Honda. Abdel N[redacted] was my financing agent. He informed that I would receive a refund check from the GAP insurance. The GAP insurance was originally purchased back in August of 2013. I have recieved two letters from Honda Financial services confirming I should have received a check by now. I have called several times and to inquire and I get the round around. The last call I made was to Sandy a sales representative. She was unable to help and transferred me to Mr. N[redacted] He has yet to return my calls and give me information regarding the status of my refund check.Desired Settlement: Good customer service starts with communicating with your clients. Being able to return calls in a time mannerly to avoid complaints.

Review: I am a member of [redacted] in NJ. Our member benefits provides car purchase incentives. Advertised certified dealers are listed on a website to view their car promotions. I entered the dealership and negotiated the car contract. I presented the price certificate stating a $750 discount off the stated price. I was told that the other store is responsible for honoring the certificate and since I did not buy the car from that branch it is unavailable. I told them to cease the deal and restart it through the correct branch to have the price certificate honored. They replied that the other dealership will not honor the contract either.

I signed the contract for the car but did not accept deliver as of this date. I find this to be false advertisement by Route 22 Honda and [redacted] the discount membership service for the [redacted]. The following is a copy of the email sent to [redacted]

"Yesterday I bought this exact car from Route 22 Kia which is the same store as Route 22 Honda. I bought the car at the listed $6200 price. They utilized a no haggle process which was excellent and the salesman was polite, courteous and very helpful. During the negotiations I mentioned the $750 pricing certificate and that I am a [redacted] member. When it came time to finalize the contract I showed them my pricing certificate on my cell phone and asked them to wait while I go print it out.

The store manager said he will not be able to honor the additional $750 member discount. He stated that this is Route 22 Kia not Route 22 Honda. I replied that when we initially started discussing terms you said that Route 22 [redacted], Route 22 [redacted] Route 22 Honda and Route 22 [redacted] are all the same store." For a matter of fact you retrieved the car from Route 22 Honda after driving me to the lot to show me the car". I proceeded to read him the exact wording on the pricing certificate and showed him as well. He refused to discount the additional $750.+

At this juncture I wanted to close the deal and informed him that this false advertising and I will be alerting [redacted]. I called several times during the negotiation to garner clarity regarding the use of the certificate.

Thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the following redress

A set of tires priced at $440 and the remaining $310 applied to the principal balance or credited towards my next monthly payment.

Thank you [redacted]

Review: I purchased a New Vehicle with Route 22 Honda of [redacted] on Tuesday, September 03, 2013. I had a Vehicle that I traded in that had a balance that was paid by the dealership. I gave the dealership a down payment of $3900. The dealership first stated that I was approved for a low interest rate of 1.9 when they originally pulled my Credit Report. I was told four hours later that they were looking for an approved lender and then stated that the loan was approved for an interest rate of 4.9. The dealership added the payoff balance to the new vehicle that I purchased. They added $7,000 to my amount financed, which was the Vehicle that I traded in. I was overcharged $7,000 by this dealership and I am demanding an immediate adjustment to the amount that is being financed, or a refund for the overcharged amount in the amount of $7,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: Refund the amount overcharged of $7,000.

I am rejecting this response because:

Route 22 Honda said my trade in vehicle, a 2008 Honda Accord which was fully loaded and Exterior Window Trim which was chrome was worth only $7,000. Route 22 Honda had me give them a down payment of $3900.00. My vehicle had a balance of a little over $6,000 which was being financed. The Finance Company was paid off and $7,000 was added to the Purchase Contract. Route 22 Honda overcharged me by $7,000 and I'm demanding that this is deducted off of the amount that I am financing through American Honda, or for Route 22 Honda to pay me directly for the overcharge.

I will not recommend this dealership to anybody that I have contact with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards,

Review: I purchased a used car from the Route 22 Honda, Hillside, NJ a few weeks ago for a negotiated out-of-door sales price of $15,000. Today, the dealership called me saying that I need to pay an additional $1028 in order to get my license plate. That is, the negotiated out-of-door purchase price as documented in the written sales contract was raised for $1028 26 days after the purchase date. In particular, at this moment, my temporary license plate has expired for a week and I do not have any other way to do with the vehicle with the expired license plate except to accept to pay this additional amount.Desired Settlement: Either honor the original sales contract or cancel the sales contract.

I am rejecting this response because:

The dealer charged me $315.42 sales tax, $275 government license and registration fees at the point of sales on 08/31/2013. The dealer charged me an additional $1028.42 under the name of underpaid tax on 9/25/2013. Therefore, overall, the dealer charged me a total of $1618.84 for tax and government registration fee. The receipt I got from the TN government shows however that they only collected from me a total of $1159.48 for sales and use tax, registration, local tax and other fees. The dealer overcharged me $459.36 under the falsified excuse of tax payment.

I made numerous calls to the dealer, the salesman as well as visited the dealer shop in person. As of this moment, no one has responded to my request for billing correction. This is a serious cheating.

Review: honda agreed to pay of remainingg payments ( up to 6 ), I told them there was either 3 or 4 left. they said they would check & see. they came back & told me there were 3 left & we signed off on that & I proceeded to lease a vehicle from them. a short time later I received a bill for a payment due ( $ 438.00 ), I called both honda financial & honda rt 22 & told them there was a mistake & payment was made in full. homda financial said no there is 1 more so I told them they ned to call rt 22 & talk to them. they told me it was my responsibility so I called them & they said they will not pay it., they said we agreed t for them to pay the remaining 3 which we did however there were 4 left. I told rt 22 they made a mistake & they need to pay the payment. the refused & said the fulfilled there end of the bargain. I told them that they did if there were 3 left but that they made a mistake & there were 4 left & they need to pay it. they said they are refusing & I am responsible & if I don't pay it it will hurt my credit.. so not only did they not do there job correctly but they are hurting my credit score.Desired Settlement: to pay remaining payment, look into fixing my credit details ( late payment, etc.) & to make me some kind of restitution ( remote car starter ) which will only incase the value of the CRV when I return it at end of lease. I was hoping to stay with rt 22 on my next lease due to the salesman I had but this may change things.

Also these individuals are so iffy that when I reached my home I realized that they car which the odomoter reading had stipulated 12 miles had in gact 329 miles over. Shame on me for trusting a dealer but this was a very unethical practice.Desired Settlement: pay [redacted] the agreed upon $159.00

Review: I went to the business because I noticed my tail lights were out. The car was sent to service, where they told me that the fuse box was no longer working and I needed to replace it, as well as needing to get light bulbs replaced. They charged me $1,454.29 for the service. I went to another mechanic in my hometown, and he looked at the car, noticing that a wire was short in the front. I did not need another fuse box, I simply needed to fix the wire. This service cost me $300. When I brought my car into the dealership, they had my car in the service area for more than 2 weeks in order to look over it to see what was wrong. They charged me $342.76 just to inspect the car. I went back to the dealer and explained what the other mechanic said to me. I asked for a refund of my money. They refused to give me my money back. I showed them receipts from the other mechanic explaining what was done to my car and the dealership's service area refused to believe it. When I began to make my case with the service manager, he told me he could not refund my money because they don't believe the outside mechanic did the job. I had a conference call between the service manager and the outside mechanic, who explained everything he did. The service manager still refused to believe him. However, when I sent my car to the dealership, they did not help me whatsoever. I had to go outside to another mechanic in order to get my car working again. This service area did not care about my well-being or the well-being of others, they simply cared about making a profit and attempted to save face when I showed them proof that my car was working once again.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to get my money back for the inspection of the car, which was $342.76, because I paid for something that was not done correctly. They had over two weeks to inspect my car and see what was wrong, only to give me wrong information and attempt to take my money. I hope that others in the future don't have to be misled and given wrong information in an attempt to get more money out of them.

Response:

We will be refunding the customer $342.76. When the check is ready for pickup the customer will be required to sign a release.

Review: After making the dealer aware of a previous offer. They promised me the would get me approved with our verbal agreement. I told them I did not want to take the vehicle home unless they had final approval from the bank. After being told everything was approved but just needed to speak to the other dealer because of a match call. I was told 2 weeks later to return the vehicle and that I was not approved because of a match called. Then I get to the dealer to return the vehicle after being told that my check will be ready for me. The check was not ready and I was told I had to wait a few days. The check was because of the down payment I had made. My old trade was returned to me of course the car payment on that vehicle was late because they never got the loan approved. So disappointed. I recommend going else where. Not professional and the quality and customer service is horrible.Desired Settlement: A phone call with a apology and one month car payment for having me pay my car payment late.

Regards,

Review: My wife and I verbally agreed to finance a car for the price of $21,700 (not including tax, title, and registration) on a loan term of 6 years. On the financing contract, an additional $2,000 for an extended warranty was added on, which they claimed was required in order for us to get approved for the loan we requested. They offered to cancel it after 90 days and we would be credited back that amount. We asked everal times for a copy of the itemized charges on the car, because the total price seemed high and we were not certain if that figure included the extended warranty or other fees. We were repeatedly told that we would get that copy but eventually we wound up leaving without it. Upon reviewing all of the paperwork the following day, we discovered several discrepancies: 1) The length of the loan term was changed from 6 years to 7 years, which we were never verbally informed of. The term is written out in months on the contract, making it difficult to determine that an extra year was added on. 2) After figuring out exactly how they tally up the figures in the contract, I found that the price of the car before taxes, title, registration, and the extended warranty came out to $2,145 more than what we had agreed to. I could not determine the reason for this difference because we were never supplied with the itemized total for the price of the vehicle. I later learned that they had added on a "certified pre-owned" fee of $1,895, which was not listed on the itemized sheet. This was later reduced by $400 after we complained, but we were still never supplied any paperwork indicating that this was a "standard" fee for the product as they claimed. 3) The fine print on the extended warranty paperwork stated that we had 60 days (not 90) to cancel it, and after that period we would be charged a fee. Additionally, the fine print clearly stated that the purchase of the warranty is not required to be approved for a loan. I also confirmed this with the bank.Desired Settlement: I believe that we were deliberately deceived because they did not disclose all charges associated with the sale price of the vehicle, both verbally as well as on the contracts. I also wish to express that my interactions with the individuals at this dealership were incredibly negative. They refused to take responsibility for their unethical behavior, and even attempted to continue to deceive me after I returned to complain/get the issue corrected. I will never do business with this dealership or any of its affiliates again, including their service or parts department. I know several people that frequent this establishment, and I will inform all of them of these issues and recommend that they not do business with them either. I believe the right thing for them to do from a business and customer service standpoint is to refund us the "certified pre-owned" fee that they added on to the price of the vehicle.

Review: I purchased 2008 Honda Accord on [redacted]/13 and I have yet to receive my plates. I have financing through [redacted] and will be submitting my 2nd mothly payment on [redacted]/13. I was proactive because nobody from the dealership called me to offer assistance before or after the 1st temp expired. I went back to dealership on [redacted]/13 after several calls I was given another temp plate. I started calling prior to the 2nd temp expiring and got NOWHERE. I was told I would be contacted back and never was I have been transferred to voicemail with no return calls. I was told the title had not been received as of yet and that's what is holding up the plates. I went into the location today to ask for another temp and was told they could not offer another temp they could offer me a loaner car but I had to give them a credit card now I don't think I should have to give them another card for them to rectify this problem and I didn't feel comfortable doing so considering they have not been very customer friendly in resolving my issue. So basically I have to ride around with no registration and an expired temp plate as of [redacted]/13. I am not looking for blame i'm looking for resolution....Can you help me please.Desired Settlement: I want resolution or I want my deposit back and they can have their car back...
