I found Rydell Auto Outlet online while searching for a specific vehicle. Upon arriving I found one of the nicest, friendliest, cleanest auto dealerships I have ever been to. From sales to service, everyone was helpful, friendly, and no pressure whatsoever. Salesperson Elvis M[redacted] was outstanding, as was Martin K[redacted]. Their selection of 2 and 4 wheel vehicles was very impressive, as was their value. Highly recommend this dealership for purchasing any vehicle. It was a very fun experience.

Unfortunately, this is a difficult situation. The customer has put us in a "he said, she said" situation by continuously denying they were told the vehicle had prior lemon history even though we had three different employees on multiple occasions tell her, and her husband at the time of purchase,...

that the vehicle had this history. In fact, the first contact was a phone call to a different sales consultant that let them know exactly what they were coming to see. This purchase process covered multiple days and every vehicle on our website comes with a free Autocheck provided that shows the prior history. How is it that we are hiding information available in plain sight?We have offered to trade the customer their full purchase price towards another vehicle, thereby saving the tax they previously paid. I have offered to let them take the vehicle for days to test it and take it to their own mechanic. I have had multiple good conversations with Melissa but there is another person who was completely uninvolved in the purchase process that is accusing us of lying and pushing this issue. I have e-mails from this person threatening us with criminal charges on something that is, at most, a conciliatory court issue.
Our offer to trade for another vehicle still stands. Our offer to let them take a long, extended test of this vehicle still stands. If the customer is going to continue to accuse us of lying we are more than prepared to defend ourselves in a court of law, on oath, and present our evidence. We have a 25-year history of satisfying over 30,000 customers in purchasing a vehicle from our dealer group and we've had over 1 million service visits. We will vehemently defend our reputation as it's hard earned. Our number one goal is to have happy customers and we are going above and beyond in our offer to trade full value to another vehicle.

I sold my Nissan Frontier to Rydell and worked with Martin K[redacted], the Sales Manager. It was my first experience with Rydell and it was excellent. I initially placed an ad in Autotrader and received a voicemail from Martin within two days. Initially, I was hesitant since this was the first time to sell a vehicle to a dealership instead of a private party. I wasn't sure if I would get the price I was selling it for. We communicated initially by email and I provided all the history records of the truck. Went to meet Martin yesterday and the sales process was direct, no small talk and sold the truck. Martin was great to work with and I would definitely work with him again in the future. One may say I was happy because I got my 'deal' It was not only that, but the 'no nonsense' conversation Martin and I had and his 25 year experience. For me, this is why I rated Rydell and especially Martin, a 5 out 5 rating.

Great experience. My service advisor, Phil D[redacted], took the time to clearly explain what my car needed and why. He also let me know what my options were. I was well-informed, never pressured, and confident that I had made good decisions.

Rydell Auto Outlet has an impeccable reputation for taking care of customers and selling older, higher mileage cars at a fair price. We will always work with customers on a fair and equitable solution. We did brakes, shocks, battery,...

suspension and steering work before selling the car.
Like most dealers, we sell 100,000 mile cars AS-IS as Minnesota law allows. Problems will occur and owners do have the responsibilty for those repairs. We tell all customers to expect to pay the diagnostic fee to determine the issues. We may participate but only if the customer approves the inspection. The customer refused to approve the diagnostics so we could not determine any necessary repairs.
As for an independant shops recommendation, it is impossible to not have a list of "recommended" maintenance on a 100,000 mile car. Those are items a consumer can choose to do or not. Once again, if not verified by my mechanics, I can't deal with it.
As for the odometer issue, there has been nothing in the history. It appears to be a problem that came about months and months after the sale. Again, we have not had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle.
Finally, we are not a bank. Ironically, the bank basically tells us what the customer can buy based on what they get approved for. Yet it's the bank that is telling the customer to go deal with the dealership when problems arise. The vehicle was sold at a very fair price but it's been over one year so it is not reasonable to expect a buyback. The bank, again, will determine what the customer can qualify for. It's out of our hands.
We will offer the customer a free diagnostic inspection, participation in repairs and a more-than-fair trade option.

I have spoke to the General Manager [redacted] at Rydell Auto Outlet. He set me up a appointment to drop my vehicle off on 2/1/2014. [redacted] asked me questions. After we talked, he gave me a loaner car to use until the service outlet center checked the car, On Monday 2/3/2014. He called me Monday 2/3/2014 and said it would cost me $1000 to fix the car. I told him I do not have that much money. He explained I will see what I can do, and call you back. Today is Friday 7,2014, and I have not heard anything yet. I do not know what the over all response will be, or what is happening yet with this complaint. I do not want to close this case yet. Thank You.

We have made contact with the customer and scheduled an appoinment for Saturday the 1st to drop the vehicle off for a no-charge inspection and evaluation. We will provide a no-cost loaner. We have communicated that we will discuss the results of the estimate and also explore a trade-in option. We will do our best to help the customer in a fair and equitable way.

I had an extremely pleasant car buying experience at Rydell Auto Outlet and would recommend them to friends, family, and anyone looking to purchase a new/used car. Craig was extremely helpful in finding what I was looking for; a professional through and through. The rest of the staff was also professional, provided great assistance, were extremely courteous.
I'd say if you're looking, give Rydell a try...you'll be glad you did.

I brought my car into get detailed and Greg K did an unbelievable job. My wife said it is like she got a new car. Awesome service and work!! I will be recommending the detail shop here to everyone.

I get my oil changed here all the time. The staff is amazing to work with and very knowledgeable. I have recommended them to all of my friends and coworkers.
