I really enjoyed my experience here. Everyone that was helping was very understanding and considerate, and I found exactly what I wanted

Review: I bought my wedding dress from this gown shop. I paid twice for a hem. Neither time was it actually hemmed. My dress was just as long as it was when it was bought. it is now ruined because I stepped all over it, it got stuck on everything, people stepped on it. Its very dirty and torn. They are charging for alterations that they are not doing.Desired Settlement: I would like for my money that I paid for these hems to be returned. I was charged for a service that was not completed. I am not sure of the exact amount. I know it was over $100.00.

To Whom It May Concern:

Customer [redacted] purchased her wedding gown and had her first set of alterations done on July 31, 2014 which included the following:

1. Inside Seam on the top ($36)

2. Three bustles on the train ($57)

3. Removing the tulle and lining from the front of the gown to be able to see her cowgirl boots

through a slit. This was a special request and design by the customer. This dress was supposed

to have full coverage on the front. ($129)

She returned on August 26th to have a hem ($59) done n the front of her gown. The hem is don from

hip to hip and faded back to the train. This allows the train of the wedding gown to drag as it's supposed to. This was the ONLY hem done on her gown. The length in the front hit exactly where she wanted it to. The train on a wedding gown is supposed to drag on the floor (which will result in it getting dirty once it is worn).

She picked up her dress on Thursday, August 28th and signed agreeing to the terms that she has picked up her gown in good condition. Attached are both invoices and her signed copy of release for the gown.

We decline the request for a refund because the services that were paid for were indeed completed.

Thank you for your time.

Response:

It says on both invoices hem as a line item. I paid twice for a hem. I can send pictures of my dress to show it is too long. I was not allowed to try my dress on at the shop when I picked it up on the 28th or I would have asked for my money back then. A wedding dress should NOT drag on the ground in the front nor when you have the dress bussled in the back. I tripped all over my dress the entire time I had it on. I have never seen this at any wedding on TV or in person. This is not how a dress is suppose to fit. This is very unexceptable behavior from this company.

I have attached copies of both her alteration invoices and a sketch to help understand what

the charges were exactly for. As you can see, there is only ONE charge for a hem.

Thank you for your time

Response:

I was told that the first hem was included in with taking out the material. The seamstress pinned a hem when I was there for my first fitting. So yes that line item is a hem. I can quote the seamstress saying " This not an easy hem that why I charge more". The girls argued with me and my mother on the second fitting about paying for it because this was suppose to be completed on the first fitting. Regardless to how many times I was charged for the hem it was never completed! Also going thru their response there is a lot of incorrect information. I did not pick my dress up 8/28. That would have been 2 days after the second fitting. They couldn't even complete the first set of alterations in a month. There is no way they could do it in 2 days. I picked my dress up 9/3, 2 days before my wedding! Also someone wrote above my signature picked up 9/28/14? My wedding was 9/6 why would I pick my dress up after my wedding? With this you can easy tell they have no idea what they are talking about. I was told signing this was just so they knew the dress was picked up. How can I sign something that the dress was in good condition when they wouldn't even let me look at it! I wasn't even able to put it in my vehicle myself they insisted they had to do it! I have including pictures this time to show that the train is not the part I am complaining about it is the front, sides, and the back (that is not part of the train) that is dirty and too long. If this is not resolved this time I am calling my credit card company and reporting fraud on this business for charging work that was not complete. I have more than enough proof.

Photo 1. Shows the bottom of the dress and how dirty it is. Well beyond where dirt stains should be.

2. Is a close up of the front of the dress and the stains.

3. Is the back of the dress (not the train you can see the train behind it)

4. Is the train where it ripped because it was too long and got stuck/stepped on.

5. Is what the dress/train should look like.

6. Shows where the bussles where and no longer are because they ripped from being cheaply put on and also from the dress being to long because they were not where they should have been on the dress.

7. Shows that my dress was put in 2 garbage bags. I was never asked if this was ok or told that it was no going to come with the wardrobe bag that it was in at the store when I bought the dress.

8. Shows that my dress is dragging many inches in the floor on the sides and the back even with the bussle in the back.

9. Shows the dress dragging again a few inches on the floor. (Same explanation as above)

10. Shows the back of the dress , that is not part of the train, that I am referring to in parts of this complaint. You can see it is almost a foot on the ground. This part does not bussle up with the train. This should have been hemmed with the sides and the front of the dress. (Im holding the train in my hand.

To Whom It May Concern:

Our policy states once a dress is released from the store we are not responsible for any damage done to

the garment. Gowns, especially wedding gowns being white or ivory always become dirty and need

proper cleaning afterwards. Also, a scheduled steam pick up date is to only come in and pick up the

gown pressed and bagged at which [redacted] scheduled. We use clear garment bags to bag the gowns

and we staple the center so the train can hang without wrinkling. We have never had one complaint

about the way we bag gowns by any other customer. We also carry all of our bridal gowns to their car

as a courtesy to our brides we are trying to resolve this complaint with [redacted] and she continues to

write harassing reviews on social media. We ask that she removes her comments that said nothing of

what she is disputing with the BBS and we will refund her the $s9 that she paid for a hem that she was

unhappy with. Customer will need to provide her address in order for us to send her refund. Please close

this case

Attached are the comments that she has left on social media bashing our company. This is unacceptable

when first, we are in the resolving this through the SUB currently. And two, she didn’t state anything of

the sort at which she contacted the Revdex.com about. If she wants to be disgruntle, that is fine even though we

are working this out with her, however she is clearly harassing and bad mouthing our business of untrue

events These need to be taken down.

Freedom of speech: I can express my opinions and facts anywhere I want. That is the wonderful thing about this great county we live in. Maybe Babette's needs to learn what the 1st amendment is in the country that they live.

I am just calling my credit card and disputing the charge. .I'm not playing this childish games anymore. I am a customer care manager and I would never treat my customers this way. I hope they loose business and go out of business with the reviews I have gave them.
