After submitting all required documents and paying $450 for an appraisal, this company refused to return calls or answer emails. I finally gave up. I have never been treated so poorly. This company does not live up to it's mission statement. My recommendation is STAY AWAY!

We had a very complex situation, and other Finance Companies said they could do it, but later on through the process, gave various excuses as to why they couldn't.
Secure One Capital said they could do it, "even with our complex issues"... and they did!
They were very helpful in relieving the stress associated with the re-financing process. they DID DO exactly what they said they would do... get us financed.
I would put a "Secure One Capital" sticker on my car, and their sign in front of my house.
Thanks Chris Horn, Monique Mercado, Jessie Lane, and the rest of you at Secure One Capital... You can only imagine the depth of what you have done for us... something we've been seeking for the last 6 years, is finely done, thanks again.

In any loan transaction, there is an initial prequalification call, loan terms will be discussed, and as long as the applicant can supply adequate information promptly, we will proceed to process the application.    After the process of the refinance had started with Mr. [redacted], we...

soon learned that there was additional work that would need to be completed on his behalf.   His existing mortgage had been modified, and we had to work with them to obtain satisfactory information to meet our condition of approval.  As we explained to Mr. [redacted], there would have been no way for us to know any of this upfront so hi patience would be appreciated.    During the transaction with Mr. [redacted], he had direct access to one of our branch managers in which calls were made to our branch manager as late as 8 in the evening, on the weekends, and during vacation.    This was not a big concern for us since we constantly aim to please.  If someone needs our cellular number, we will voluntarily give it to make sure he or she are at ease.  Our branch manager has a family and did his very best to contact Mr. [redacted] back within a reasonable amount of time but apparently, we fell short.   Since the complaint, we reached Mr. [redacted] to discuss his concerns, and after talking through it at greater length, Mr. [redacted] was happy that the loan got completed and he apologized for posting the negative review out of frustration.   In closing, our branch manager did confirm that we waived the appraisal fee since he had just paid for one with another lender.   We explained to Mr. [redacted] that after the loan closes accounting would have been notified to reimburse him for his appraisal fee.  However, it was determined that Mr. [redacted] never paid for a 2ndappraisal and the fee was waived.   We feel that we did the very best that we could on Mr. [redacted]’s loan considering we were dealing with other lenders, HUD, and government agencies to obtain the information necessary to complete the transaction in 3 weeks.  We invite Mr. [redacted] to contact us if he has any constructive feedback or feels that we did not adequately handle his concern.

Our story started over 18 months ago. Mortgage agent [redacted] was given the task of helping us refinance our townhouse. We had high debt, student loans and high H.O.A. fees. [redacted] ran into a lot of roadblocks with our H.O.A. Most agents would have given up on us but not [redacted]. He changed direction and helped us sale and pay off 75% of our debt and purchase a single family home. [redacted] is a hero, to this family.

To be honest I wasnt even looking into a refinance when these guys called, mainly because my past refis have been a paperwork nightmare. Chris did an exceptional job on keeping me informed and updated, I sent a few documents and next thing you know it was time to sign the final papers! Great job I will be sure to reccomend

They have not indicated their compliance with federal do not call policies as outlined by the FTC.    So far they blew flowery words at me and tried to bribe me with $45.

Secure One used the standard "we retain outside companies" excuse to attempt to pass the blame along. Not surprisingly, their response is signed by one of their attorneys who knowingly and willingly neither admitting nor denying culpability. Therefore, on one hand they are apologizing for the calls and on the other they are not admitting the calls were made on their behalf. It's a pathetic line of legal nonsense designed to pacify me and it's not working at all. The fact is very simple: SOMEONE from Secure One DID call me on numerous occasions and whether Secure One personnel or a vendor contracted by them made the calls, Secure One is responsible. I reject their response and will take appropriate legal action against Secure One to resolve this issue to my satisfaction.

[redacted] along with [redacted] & [redacted] did an excellent job processing our loan. We are very pleased with how quick & efficient they got everything processed. Great job!!

I received a random call one day on my cell phone one day there was a woman on the line saying her name was [redacted] from secure one Capitol she asked was I looking to refinance and that she reviewed my file and realized I had tried before but hadn't closed on the loan. She asked me why I said u tell me...after going through some details about my situation I was really giving her in my mind ...2 seconds to come up with something really quick to sustain my attention because I had given up on a refi ... Just seemed to difficult. That day....I would normally rudely hang up the telephone but the decision to listen saved me over 500 monthly on my mortgage I'm out of a bad loan and I'm very happy! There's life after death! With a reduced by half interest rate!! Throughout the process she was really communicative and trusting and thorough. I can breathe again and now make better choices concerning my home finance all because someone was really doing there job well thanks [redacted] !! When I am in California I want to meet you and shake your hand ma'am !! God bless you!! The day she said were going to do your best to get this done it was something in her voice that had me feeling assured and sold on it . They really came thru!

I just refinanced my home. I had my doubts not working with someone face to face. I was sceptical - but as I worked with Clay Pate over the phone, sent my paperwork via secure email, had the appraiser call me for an inspection date (next day) as well as the notary calling and showing up next day, it was painless! We closed within 40 days of starting. I got my loan with money to pay off all my creditors!
I highly recommend Clay and his team. So convenient I never had to take time off of work for all the formalities too.

Awesome company to work with. They kept me informed of progress of my loan every step of the way. They were quick to respond when I had questions and were very knowledgeable. I would use them again.

I appreciate the sentiment conveyed but I can guarantee I did not pursue anything mortgage related online - so I do not meet that criteria. I did however - begin refinance proceedings over a week after IRMA struck (I was without cell/phone and power for 8 days - so it was after that - and I contacted my Mortgage Company by phone directly to discuss options in the IRMA aftermath).  This means my information was obtained without my knowledge and I was specifically sent the mailer in question well after IRMA had struck. This means targeted marketing...This means the company consciously made the choice to send the material to a probably vulnerable and sleep deprived person trying to keep their head above water... I will not speculate on whether they increased their attempts in my region to 'obtain clients.'  I will say the gentleman on the phone did tell me their company is very proud of being extremely 'aggressive'. In my experience - that is not a good thing for consumers...its kind of like working for an IT Company that claims to be 'Bleeding Edge'...which really means they are hiring you full-time so they can work you 60-80 hrs / week.  I also would not be surprised if their material was already created as mentioned in the letter - a company that operates in this manner probably had it created last year after Hurricane Matthew...or after some other region of the US had a Natural Disaster knowing there would be more opportunity to use it in the future.

Secure One Capital did an amazing job in helping me with my refinance and debt consolidation. I came in with a below average credit score and poor debt ratio and [redacted] worked incredibly hard to help me improve my credit score and get out of large credit payments. I can honestly say I am leaving with a very positive experience and a strong lasting impression of this company. I will refer anyone to them based off my experience.

I randomly walked into SecureOne Capital after seeing some good Yelp reviews. To be honest I was pretty sure I wouldn't qualify for a home loan but figured I would check first before looking for another apartment to rent. [redacted] walked me through the process, kindly answered my dumb questions and the next day I had a pre-approval letter and a referral to a fantastic real estate agent (shout out to Courtney Lingle). 3 weeks later I found a house I loved. 3 weeks later I had the keys to that house. By all accounts I got a great deal on the home I wanted, in record time, with minimal BS. I don't remember the last time I heard of a business treating a perfect stranger with the kind of honesty, integrity and efficiency that [redacted], [redacted] & [redacted] showed. There's not enough stars for these people.

My experience with Secure One Capital was nothing but painless and simple. They handled everything with profession and speed. They were willing to work around my schedule and consisting of a lot of email conversations. I was able to overt filing bankruptcy as I was able to refinance my house, get out of a FHA into a conventional loan, take some equity and pay off bills....nothing but a very pleasant experience.

I want to thank John T, Julie P and Secure One Capital for their excellent work in assisting us with the VA refinance of our home. Per our appraisal we had to do some extensive work to our home before we could get our refinance loan. This work was more involved than we originally thought and ended up taking four whole months to complete. During this time John and Julie stood in there with us and diligently followed our loan to a successful conclusion. I am a Realtor and found their service to be very professional and as hassle free as possible. If you are in the market for a new loan or refinance, then I highly recommend John and/or Julie.

Hello [redacted], As a representative of Secure One Capital I wanted to personally apologize to you for your troubles but also assure you that our contacting you was a mistake.  This was an error on our part and we accept full responsibility for your troubles.  I agree that it must have been frustrating to continually receive solicitation phones calls from a company that you did not apply with.  In effort to resolve the matter,  I have spent several weeks researching the events  that led up to this in effort to prevent it from happening to anyone else.  
 
Allow me to explain:
 
I am not sure how this happened but your phone number ending in  [redacted] was associated with another lead that was generated from our website from October 2014.  This could be as simple as an individual miss typing the information on our application page.    Once an application is received the information is sent to an offsite call center that will contact the number in effort to obtain an application for refinance.  In effort to service our applicants we continue to call until the lead has reached a decision.   We attempted on a number of occasions to remove your number but because the name associated with the lead was different than yours I concluded that your number remained to be called on.
 
At our office we work very hard to provide exceptional service, we do not solicit anyone that has not prompted a phone call from our office.   This does happen on occasion through human and manual data entry errors but this is not a regular business practice for us.    I am hoping the you can accept our apology and allow us to part ways with an understanding that this was a sincere mistake.
 
In conclusion; You number will be removed from our contact list, we will not contact you again, we do recognize the do not call registry however the rules are slightly different since we have an application on file from October. 
 
Based on the complaint filed it appears that there was an amount of $45.00 that you paid in international phone charges.  In effort to make this right our management team has agreed to issue you a check in the amount of 45.00 which will be sent 2 day priority mail on Wednesday 03/18/2015.

Was lied to over and over by Sr. Loan Rep and has been going on for 4 months , His lack of knowledge regarding FHA guidelines cost me more money and a higher interest rate , he claims he is going to make it right by paying the difference out of his money but that was 4 months ago . He still claims he is going to handle this but I have little faith he will if he does I will also advise you but as it stands right now I would not recommed Secure One Capitol to anyone especially with the rates being low and companies are competing for your business . I believe that your word is your character and his word has not been good.

In regards to complaint ID [redacted]. Hello [redacted], Our office has made multiple attempts to reach [redacted] to properly handle this compliant.  Unfortunately we have not been able to reach him so I finally typed an email  on March 16th in effort to resolve this...

complaint.  We have no record of [redacted] as a client so I suspect the authenticity of the complaint but do not have anything to back up my suspicion.  What he suggests could have happened but can’t say for sure that it did.  In effort to bring closure to his complaint you can post my email below.  Please remove any names or phone numbers from the review before posting this publicly.      I do have a check for 45.00 prepared to send to Mr. [redacted] on 03/18/2015   Please reach me if you have any questions.  Thanks for your assistance with this matter.  [redacted]
