At this time, I have been contacted directly by Shake A Paw Puppies regarding complaint ID [redacted] , however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Shake A PAw returned the full refund for my puppyHowever, the personal damages that occurred during my family and I time with the puppy is not resolvedMy puppies illness was preventable and Shake A Paw should be liable for that In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

The puppy was purchased on February [redacted] for $plus associated fees and sales taxOn February ***, [redacted] came into the store with the puppy and he spoke with a managerHe told the Manager that the puppy tried to bite him and he wanted to return itIt was explained to [redacted] that since the puppy arrived at the store on the puppy has shown no signs of aggression towards any of the puppies that it was housed with and no signs of aggression with any of our staff as well as any of our customersThe puppy was handled every single day that he was in our store by several people as well as our groomer and VeterinarianIn addition, the pup was handled by even more customers, and not ONCE was this puppy ever aggressiveOur manager told [redacted] that as per the terms of our contract and store policy that the puppy was not returnable [redacted] chose to abandon the puppy in the store and he told that he could not do that because it is against the lawWe have since had the puppy temperament tested by a licensed professional dog trainer who found nothing wrong with the puppy at allBeing that the puppy was abandoned we chose to find the puppy a new home [redacted] is due no refund whatsoever, however as a courtesy we will offer to give [redacted] a credit of the purchase price towards the purchase of another puppy in the storeThe credit must be used in the Lynbrook location where the puppy was originally purchased

This bunny was purchased on and we held it until at the request of the purchaser for a pickup on Christmas EveWhile it was in our possession we did not notice any health issues whatsoeverShake A Paw has a 7-day health guarantee on all Small animalsA copy of the signed contract/guarantee between [redacted] and Shake A Paw has been attached to this responseThe Guarantee clearly states that there is an exchange only policy and further states that no refunds are offered and no vet bills will be covered. When the customer came into the store to discuss this matter the store manager did offer to refund the purchase price of the bunny but this offer was not acceptedAt this point Shake A Paw is willing to refund the original $purchase price of the bunny and also an additional $towards the cost of one veterinarian visitIt is our opinion that at the time of the initial vet visit, the customer would have known that there were health issues with the bunnyAt that time he could have decided to return the pet to Shake A Paw as per the guarantee or call us to discuss the situationWe could have helped out by having our store veterinarian treat the bunny at no expense to the customer or offered an exchange for another bunnyThe customer did not contact us until well after everything occurred and in doing so incurred vet bills which are not covered under our policy

I bought a goldendoodle puppy from Shake A Paw in [redacted] in April In hindsight, I should have known something was wrong with herShe was so mellowI had asked over and over if she was okay, and they just said that it was her temperament and that she was cleared with their vetWithin hours home, we were at the vet and she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia involving every lobe of each lungWe were told she needed to be admitted for at least a week for antibiotics, which turned out to be daysAfter she was there for three days, the vet called saying that since her lungs had cleared a little, they could now hear her heart and she had a grade heart murmur, a very severe murmurA few days later, she had an echo and we were told that she needed heart surgeryEven with surgery, they didn't know her prognosisThe vet said that we shouldn't keep herWe have two young kids who had lost a dog the week beforeThe vet said it was illegal for Shake A Paw to sell us our dogThe murmur would have been audible by their vet and the pneumonia had to have developed while she was in their storeWe brought her home at 7pm Friday night and by 8am Sunday morning we were at the vetThey sold us a gravely ill dogThe vet clearly communicated this to the store and to usI did some research on the "breeder" they got our dog fromShe is a big supporter of the owner of the largest puppy mill in [redacted] It's no wonder they won't give you the breeder information until you buy the dogShake a paw was HORRIBLE throughout the entire experienceThey fought every medical decision, because they were required to pay for her treatmentThankfully I had done a little research and went to a vet that they recommend when you buy the dogSince I went to one of their vets, her care was coveredHowever, they kicked and fought the entire weekThey wouldn't acknowledge how sick she was despite speaking to the vet on many occasionsThey were rude, insensitive, and argumentative I don't have enough bad things to say about how this situation was handled Please be very careful buying animals from this pet store

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: There was only golden mini-doodle in the store when I bought the puppy and only shown on the website when I called for a price so variables did not existThe response does not support that $is the price (or in the ballpark of prices) regularly charged for puppies I am not concluding that the business pits customers against each other It is more likely that the other interested customer did not existThe fact that weeks has passed is not relevant I called the store on January [redacted] after the puppy was diagnosed with a parasite I was told that Shake a Paw would not pay the vet bills, that I should look into whether the health insurance would cover it and I should purchase pills in a pet store which prevent a puppy from eating its stool so as to avoid reinfection I called the health insurance company but was told they don't cover pre-existing conditions I also bought the pills that prevent dogs from eating their stool and gave them to the puppyThe dog has gone through parasite treatments and still has the parasite and my daughter caught the parasite Lodging a complaint was not a rash decision I was also away on vacation in February (the dog was in my daughter's possession during that period) I have attached all of the vet bills Some of the charges are for vaccines and are unrelated to the illness and I am not contending that Shake a Paw should pay for those charges In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

I have read the customers complaint and the customer has already received a full refund of the purchase price of the puppy as well as the associated AKC fee as well as sales taxThe only thing that was not refunded was items that were purchased at the store totaling approximately $The initial payment on their finance was also refundedAs far as the $Vet billThere was $that was for an initial stool sample ( which is not covered anywhere ) but I will refund the customer that amountThey also purchased items from the Animal Hospital that have nothing to do with Shake A Paw or any type of treatmentThey are Toothpaste- $14.00, Puppy Shampoo- $18.00, and Ear Cleaner- $I'm quite certain that if these items are unopened they can be returned to the Animal HospitalAlso, we cannot do refunds on items that were purchased at another storeOne last thing that was not addressed, the customer was extremely loud and cursing and threatening while in the store and on the phone, to the point where we had to call the police because my staff feared for their safety and wellbeingThey were loud and beligerent to the police officers as wellThe customers have been banned from coming to the storeIn addition, the puppy is doing great and was not nearly as sick as the customer has claimed but we felt that it was in the best interest to all involved to take this puppy back and find him a better homeAlso, not mentioned here is that Shake A Paw stood behind the sale of this puppy 100%, we covered all of the Vet bills on this puppyPlease feel free to call me at [redacted] if you need any further information ***

A credit in the amount of $has already been made to the consumer's [redacted] cardPlease let me know if there are any further questions

Revdex.com: At this time, I have not been contacted by Shake A Paw Puppies regarding complaint ID [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] And [redacted]

This customer purchased two (2) puppies on Christmas Eve By the day after Christmas they had called us and asked us to return the puppies because they were allergic to the pupsAt that time we explained to them that, in accordance with our contract of sale, all sales of puppies are FINAL and
the pups could NOT be returned for reasons like allergies or any other personal reasonsThey were well aware that all puppy sales are final when they made the decision to purchase the pets For the remainder of that day and the next day they proceeded to call us several more times asking us to take the pups backEach and every time we told them NOWithin a day after that they called us again to say that the pups had been to the vet and were found to have a common parasite in their feces and they were still looking to return the dogsWe explained that the finding of parasite in the stool is not grounds for finding a puppy to be "unfit for sale" according to New York State law and unless the veterinarian declares the pups to be "Unfit" for a serious illness then we would not accept the puppies for returnWe were never provided with any veterinarian records or documents indicating that the puppies were declared to be Unfit so we told the customers that the pups could not be returnedA day or so later we were contacted by another Long island pet store indicating that the puppies had been given to them by the owners so that the pups could be re-homedThis other pet store did not give them any money for the puppies The customer proceeded to dispute the charge with *** twice and both times the dispute was found in our favorIf the customer wanted to recoup the expense of the puppies because they could not keep them, then they should have attempted to sell them privately on their own as opposed to giving them away for free after daysWe want to make it clear that the puppies were not "sick" animals and we feel that the customer is only making this claim now in an attempt to recover their lost fundsAdditionally we would never scream at any customer or hang up on anyoneThat claim is just absurd and warrants no further commentLastly, we have no idea what the customer is referring to with regards to having received another individual's drivers license and, as this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to us, we will not comment any further on this

I am not concluding that the business pits customers against each other. It is more likely that the other interested customer did not existThe fact that weeks has passed is not relevant. I called the store on January *** after the puppy was diagnosed with a parasite. I was told that Shake a Paw would not pay the vet bills, that I should look into whether the health insurance would cover it and I should purchase pills in a pet store which prevent a puppy from eating its stool so as to avoid reinfection. I called the health insurance company but was told they don't cover pre-existing conditions. I also bought the pills that prevent dogs from eating their stool and gave them to the puppyThe dog has gone through parasite treatments and still has the parasite and my daughter caught the parasite. Lodging a complaint was not a rash decision. I was also away on vacation in February (the dog was in my daughter's possession during that period) I have attached all of the vet bills. Some of the charges are for vaccines and are unrelated to the illness and I am not contending that Shake a Paw should pay for those charges

My complaint had parts. I am satisfied with the business's response with respect to the vet bills for the parasite
I am not satisfied with the business's response with respect to the price I was charged for the puppy, which was $2,more than the going price. It doesn't seem that this issue can be resolved via the Revdex.com

We have researched our recent sales of mini golden-doodle puppies In the last months we have sold of these pups and all but of them was sold for MORE than the purchase price of the puppy in questionIf *** *** would like to make an appointment with me, I would be happy to sit down with her and show her the sales contracts of these other salesWe have nothing to hide and it would be very satisfying to me to prove to her that we have been honest and ethical in all our dealingsIf this is not acceptable I have no other ideas on how to prove our sideI am not willing to post our sales contracts on the internet for everyone to seeAs for the refund which has been accepted, please advise as to when this matter can be considered closed and the refund will be issued

First and foremost these people sell sick puppies, that is why they have a F ratingYes we were mad that this store sold is a sick puppy and if the puppy was doing so great why does the hospital still have the puppy yes they informed us the puppy is still there and is making very little improvements how sad is this company! Also we bought stuff for our puppy thinking we woud have a puppy to bring home and keep but we did not and since the puppy used the bed and crate we bought we can not rest in them to the storeAnd as for the police officers we were not hostle to them at all this man is a liar and keeps lying we deserve to have all our money back that we spent due to this store selling us a sick puppy they knew this puppy was ill the puppy is very ill that he is still in the vet hospital! It's so sad that our children have to be reminded each that they don't have a puppy anymore due to this store and not taken care of their animals we deserve our money back for all that we bought for this puppy since we can NOT return to the store due to it being USED for one day!!!! It was not our fault the puppy was ill and still is ill in a vet hospital! I have all my documents from the animal hospital showing that he is making little improvement that is how sad of a place this is! And the only reason I had to do a stool sample is because the puppy this company sold us had blood in his stool why should I have to pay $for that we had no choice since it was bleeding! Again I want $ for the stuff we bought for the puppy and the medical stuff we needed to do! I also have filed with Nassau county court my children are so upset that my year old still crus at night for this puppy! Tom and Mark yes they got yelled at for selling sick puppies and I wanted to make sure the entire store heard me no one should have to go through what we had to deal with! The store can either give me my money for everything we spent or we can go to court I don't care I should not and will not be responsible for the stores actions of selling a sick puppy to us they should be closed down if they can't care for these poor little animals the correct way!!
