Shannon Motors issued a check to refund this customer's moneyAs of this date, the customer has picked up the check and the funds were issued

After purchasing a vehicle at another dealership, Mr*** decided to turn the vehicle purchased here back in to us. The balance of his loan will be processed as a charge off, but due to the short time frame of the transaction it will not report on his credit report. When the vehicle
was returned to us, it was returned without the license plates. If Mr*** receives this response we would appreciate it if he returned the license plates to us

I spoke to *** on October 18,and advised her that I had gone into the credit bureaus and updated the status of the *** account to show closed/ PAid in full with a zero balance

Mr. [redacted] did indeed purchase a vehicle service contract that covers the engine, transmission, seals & gaskets.  The service contract is good for as long as he owns the vehicle and does not have a limit on the number of miles he can put on the vehicle.  While I understand that it can...

be frustrating and inconvenient when a vehicle becomes in need of repair, we helped him arrange to have the repair made under the vehicle service contract at a [redacted] dealership.  As far as the claim of avoiding him goes, that is just not true.  On numerous occasions we have spoken to him, in-person and on the phone, and presented options to try and resolve his issues.  The credit union that he has a loan through has given specific numbers on the amount of credit they are willing to extend to him.  We have presented several different solutions to try and satisfy him. #1. We have offered to take the vehicle in on trade for the full amount that is owed and find him another vehicle that fits what his credit union is willing to lend to him. #2. We have offered to satisfy his credit union loan if he returns the vehicle to us. Our last contact with Mr [redacted] was on 10/31 when our General Sales Manager called him again to go over vehicles for the trade-in he would like, but Mr [redacted] was occupied and did not want to go over them at the time.  I would encourage him to call or visit our office.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below. I'm rejecting this response, due to the fact that they are claiming that the $43 a week sign was never on their board outside the dealership when it was, you see I referred 2 people that purchased vehicles from them that will give me a written notorized statement and also my children all was with me when we went to purchase a vehicle and all have seen the sign. The 2 people that I referred also has been having issues similar to mines. The Business has unfair practices, takes advantage of people with credit issues and then sell them vehicles that are less in value, 200%of what the vehicle is worth....with my vehicle alone on [redacted] has 26 entries that I also can provide. I went to see if I could trade the vehicle I had in and the dealership which was [redacted], Quincy Massachusetts told me they can sell me a car but could not trade it in because vehicle was only Worth $1500. I was beyond sick and attempted several times to call and see what was the buyout cost when [redacted] told me in September it was $over 13,00 I asked why was the cost extremely high from the $9,999 cost that was on the Sticker. My payments weekly were 104. +4.95 processing fee and I paid this consistently for 7 month when I stopped paying. I've Paid for the Worth of the vehicle and then some plus Repairs and maintenance in which I supposed to have had a warranty for. I also have some reviews that closely match to my complaint. I want back either the car that was repossessed or all of my monies back from that purchased. I can provide any proof statements from my witnesses and the dealer in which gave me that report.Regards,
[redacted]

This comes to inform you that I, [redacted]. [redacted] visited Shannon Motors on Monday, May 9, 2016 requested my money as stated in your message to me dated 5/6/2016 but was informed by a Shannon Motors Representative that Shannon Motors was not aware of said decision and as such did not refund my money.    Regards,
[redacted]

We apologize for your experience and appreciate your feedback. We will address this issue in an attempt to prevent it in the future. If you would like to discuss the situation further, please contact our customer care line at ###-###-#### or email [redacted]

The first complaint was in regards to trading in the vehicle with another dealership and now according to the response the vehicle was totaled and the customer sought out a refund from the administrator of the vehicle service contract.  In regards to the second portion about our sales process, the customer purchased a vehicle service contract which can be used to cover costs associated with vehicle repair, including parts and labor on covered items.  Shannon Motors does not engage in deceptive sales practices.

Shannon Motors is willing to refund any deposit this customer made. They may come to the dealership at their convenience to pick it up.

We have already agreed with what Mr. [redacted] asked for on his desired settlement.  Due to the short time frame, it will not be on his credit report.  This is exactly what was asked for.

Shannon Motors offered to make repairs to this vehicle at our cost in an attempt to resolve this. The vehicle came with a 30 day, 1000 mile warranty. While we are generally lenient with the terms of the warranty, the vehicle was driven over 10,000 miles. I can understand why this customer is...

upset, but it is not reasonable to expect warranty work to be done so far out of the warranty period.

I disagree with Mr. [redacted] stating Shannon Motors forced him to purchase a vehicle. Mr. [redacted] did leave a deposit on a vehicle, and then took delivery of it 3 days later. If he is experiencing any issues with the vehicle, we are more than willing to address them. The vehicle he purchased came...

with a 24 month / 24,000 mile warranty.

[Honestly you should remove my name, my reputation completely because it was less than 30 days that I had the car, I haven't had any charge off for car payments. Also I did not even ask for my deposit or even money for the registration back. Unless you would refund my money then I will consider the charge off.]

If Mr. [redacted] is currently experiencing an issue with his vehicle, we are willing to address it. While I understand it can be frustrating and inconvenient when a vehicle becomes in need of repair, I do not feel it is reasonable to request to be given a new vehicle because an O2 sensor needed to be...

replaced. If Mr. [redacted] provides us with his receipts for the repair, I may be able to have the cost deducted from the balance of his loan.

Ms. [redacted] is a repeat customer, the 2011 [redacted] was the second vehicle purchased here at Shannon Motors.  In addition to the vehicle, she purchased a vehicle service contract for the engine, transmission, seals and gaskets good for as long as she owns the vehicle and for unlimited mileage.

There were deceptive sales practices used to coerce me into purchasing a $2,000 warranty on a car still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. When the car was totaled after 10 months, none of the warranty was refunded, despite that it was never used.

[The screenshots are self explanatory and were taken on the night the vehicle was purchased.  This complaint was filed because there I neglected to catch the oversight on the paperwork  and Shannon Motors has failed to acknowledge the error for 5 months now.  I received no response on emails and excuses on the phone as well as in person.  This complaint was brought to Revdex.com because Shannon Motors gave me the run around.  I would have thought that a reputable local business would have caught the oversight for me, their customer, instead of giving me 5 months of excuses and making it seem that they are trying to pull a fast one.  The first response to this complaint from Shannon stated they honor their online prices.  I have proved that the car was sold for a higher price than advertised on that same day.  Now the issue seems to be that I neglected to notice this as I was signed the forms.  What is the resolution from here?]
