Every communication from Barclaycard and FAQ stated it was my responsibility to notify merchants of the new card number Further, the Barclaycard rep on the day I cancelled the barcalycard confirmed that no other charges could appear on the Barclaycard In a follsupport call after the new charges appeared in May, Barclaycard changed their story and redefined how a cancelled card behaves and described a new policy they follow to accept recurring merchant charges regardless of my instructions This rep also withheld information on how to escalate my issue to the office of the president (in a follresponse Barclaycard claimed that was because I asked for a phone number and the reps only have an address, so the rep logically provided neitherI see a pattern of deceptive and obstructive practiceBarclaycard refuses to stop processing recurring merchant charges to my old Amex CardI believe Barclaycard has repeatedly acted in bad faith and is trying to trap and prevent me from leaving their services thru a series of deceptive and unethical practicesThe only acceptable resolution from my point of view is for Barclaycard to stop processing charges on my account ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

Sir/Ma'am, The resolution I am seeking is Barclays Bank's justification for reactivating a card that has been cancelled for months Being that they likely do not have an honorable justification I would like a record with the Revdex.com of the business practices of Barclays so that others may be warned in the future

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I notified Barclaycard on January 31, at 2:pm and spoke to [redacted] She informed me that it would take to business days for the charge of $to be removed from my Barclay credit card statement On February 6, at 6:pm I spoke to [redacted] She informed me that it was still under review and I would hear back from Barclay When my [redacted] statement came in, I noticed I had a credit of $ Yes I do use my [redacted] Card all the time, however, if Barclay would have acted in a timely manner (the days in which they said they would) and removed the $375.17, I would only be paying the $on my Barclay card As a result, I have used the $on my [redacted] and I understand that but now I'm paying more on my Barclay card that I intended There doesn't seem to be a resolution to this but I wanted the Revdex.com and Barclay to understand the position they have put me in Barclay has offered to credit me some funds on finance charges but it's not much There is nothing more both parties can do at this time so I'm stuck paying the balance on Barclay
