I have extremely negative feeling about Shaw Academy and would warm any future potential buyer to avoid signing up the service.

Initially I was "persuaded" after repeated "gentle" encouragement to sign up the subscription. At the end, I was told that I could just buy 3 month trial and see whether I like it or not. before renewing.

Reality is that after initial use of the service, I found quite disappointed with the training content and did not use at all in the last 2-3 months. Then I almost forgot about this.

Until 1 week back, over the weekend, I was so surprised to see the credit card charge from this company again. And to make things exciting, there is no communication whatsoever from the company before the charge to my credit card (which Shaw Academy acknowledge issue on their system message did not sent out.)

The past week has been a painful interaction with teh company. First, no way you can cancel the plan from inside your account profile. No contact address issue.
Managed to send inquiry via their Facebook contact and Revdex.com contact, they replied subscription canceled. Good.

However, they refused to refund the recent charge $179. They claimed that my initial purchase is an acceptance to their 2 year subscription and can not refund the charges based on the terms. . The questions is, I could not find the terms in the initial receipt or the disclaimer...

Further research on this company really brings up very bad feeling, especially the recent Cambridge Analytic events. This business is not yet registered with Revdex.com and mostly running operation from UK.

Beware! Shaw academy charges you at the end of the free trial even while not mentioning on signup. Their terms of service say "You will not receive a notice from us that your paid membership has begun." It appears they hope you will not notice the charge. Total scam and embarrassing to see a business operate with this business model.

I completed my Diploma in Digital Marketing few weeks ago and I have to highlight it, it was superb. The educator used my company website as an example to explain during the class how to apply a PPC strategy driving traffic towards my business. I was really impressed about all the practical skills that I learned over the training. I have almost completed my 3rd week of advanced course and I am really happy. I would recommend this course to anybody is willing to explore this digital marketing world, my level before the course was almost equal to zero, now I can setup my own campaigns. I enrolled for a free 30 days trial for the digital marketing course and they asked straight away for my credit card details, reason given was to avoid people enrolling more than once for a free trial so I entered my details via paypal. I was charged after 30 days $ 39.95 for premium membership which I never asked, approached them 3 times to refund me but so far they have not replied to me. It was my mistake to enroll and I should have been more careful to realize that they were able to charge me without my permission, however I believe they should give a choice whether we wish to progress and if so charge us accordingly. The lessons are not live. I definitely discourage people to join them.

This company will communicate with you right up until they receive a payment and then you can't get any communication from them. Iv'e tried repeatedly to e-mail and message (through Facebook) this company to answer questions about access to final assignments. I've not one time received a response. I still don't have access to the final assignment, which is required prior to receiving a "diploma". I would not give them an money, as I believe this is a scam. The classes are great and you get to see them and participate in quizzes that help you master the information. But, you aren't given access to final assignments, which are required in order to receive your diploma. So essentially you're paying for pre-recorded videos of information you could probably learn for free on Youtube.

Fantastic courses and teachers. They have been nothing but professional and helpful. I'm looking forward to my next class!

I enrolled in Shaw Academy's initial program in photography. This was a free program. The idea was to go on to their advanced program(s). When the time came to enroll, I was not going to because of the cost. They put on a 'full court' blitz to get me to enroll. Finally, not due to their efforts, I decided to enroll. I paid the first installment of $101.82, but received no receipt and the efforts to get me to enroll continued. I sent them the information from my bank several times but they continued to deny they received the payment. At this point, a scam came to mind, so I contacted my bank and contested the payment. They continued to try to get me to enroll until the bank contacted them. I got my money back only through the efforts of my bank. Also, they claimed the lessons were "live" but it was obvious they were recorded.

I started a free trial membership, but had to cancel my chosen course because of a work conflict, then I am back to school leaving no time. I wanted to cancel my membership since I cannot use it, the terms on the website give instructions on how to do so. When I follow the steps, there are no corresponding options as outlined in the terms. I have sent about 7 emails to the support team, and have not had this issue resolved. This is very disappointing. I have explicitly pointed out that their terms need to be updated, and that I cannot cancel my membership myself because I cannot follow their stated instructions. I would advise anyone to heed this before starting a free trial membership.

I have nothing but good things to say about Shawn Academy.
Quality lessons, great study material, quick response and a lot of new informations.
If you decide to only go through the first part of the complete class (complete class is formed in 5 semesters), you will get a great variety of basic information, that will help you understand better the subject you've decided to learn about. For those who are into deeper knowledge, I recommend to take all 5 semesters and earn an, equal to, associate degree diploma.

I started a free trial with them and I wasn't sure when my trial ended but the classes were over and I couldn't receive my diploma yet so I figured if I canceled and I still got charged that I would receive a refund for the services I didn't use and also receive my diploma so I canceled the day I got charged and they still took the money out of my account and I tried to contact them for a month by phone and by message through their website and I couldn't get in contact with anyone. Literally a month later I finally reached someone and she tells me I can't receive a refund. They scammed me out of $40 I don't have. What happened to customer service?! I wouldn't use this service if I were you but, make sure you read the terms. They will rip you off if you're not careful.

Totally awful experience! Avoid it asap because its totally scam and theft.
I started with free trial for 4 weeks and the course material n the teacher was really good, so I enjoyed the course. The only annoying experience is at the end of every lesson they advertised their premium packages and persuaded people to buy them. They also added that if we buy they will add 13 extra days to my membership so it will totally cover my course duration (it started later in the next month n the course duration was 3 months). Ok I have had overall good learning experience with the fundamental course so decided to upgrade to 3-month premium to pursue the advanced course. I bought 3 month membership on 17th July, so my premium package should be expired on 30th October, which will surely cover my course from 1st August to 30th October (3 months).
The advanced course content is somehow lacking, they just tried to split the content during 3 months but its content wasn't much and really helpful as I expected as they call them "advanced". But my overall experience with the course was still somewhat good and I didn't really think of any thing to complain. However the disgusting thing they had done recently is they charged me another 3 month membership (of course without telling you anything) on 17th October, when my membership was still valid (until 30th October). I emailed to ask why they charged my money while I was still having valid membership and asked them to refund my money. They answered me after 2 days that the extra days will be added only when u end ur membership. It means I have to terminate my membership first before I can get any extra days as they promised me (which they had never mentioned that before). Because I didnt end my membership so they charged me another 3 month, which is so ridiculous. The funny thing is they allow themselves to bend the trust in their favour n make to confused as much as they can to STEAL MONEY from YOU. I replied their email to ask for the proof of their "newly created policy" because I couldn't find that in their policy and they never had explained about the rule of adding extra days to the premium membership nor made it clear to their customer.
Another point to add is in their policy they says they will automatically renew ur membership month-by-month if you dont cancel it, but they charged me 3 months at a time !! Its totally contracting to what they say! What the hell it is, they are just GREEDY and STEALING your money. No expiration date displayed on ur member area nor reminder that ur membership will be due soon. They make everything to make sure that you will forget about ur due date so then on that date they will steal money from you. I mentioned their policy n asked them to refund my money, and they just disappeared, no replies anymore. It is so funny. The company would never grow their business if they keep treating their customer in this way. AWFUL THEFT.

I signed up for a free 30 day trial. I wasn't aware that Shaw academy could charge my acct at the end of free trial. I wasn't given the option to cancel free trial as their website states that all I have to do is edit profile and cancel service. They have international customer service number. I dont even have an option to contact them without being charge by my carrier for an international call. I feel blindsided by this company. They charged my 39.99 without my permission to continue. I want a refund and wish to have never dealt with this company.

Customer service is absolutely terrible and frustrating. They'll do anything and everything to make excuses not to give you a refund even when they're in the wrong. Their website isn't even secure. It was my mistake not researching this place first, save your money, use a different learning website. This is a big eleborate scam I'm assuming to take advantage of people wanting to learn and better their lives. Don't use this website unless you like your money being taken out of your PayPal without permission.
