I cancelled this scam back on January 6th, 2021 when they initially took money from my account without permission. They didn't refund that money. Now months later AFTER cancelling January 6th, 2021 they have taken two deposits of $48.99 from my account. This is a scam and fraudulent company that MUST be investigated.
I'm reaching to you because I have been charged from Shaw Academy for a Subscription I didn't ask. I never reactivated my account, and nevertheless I was charged a total of 500Php, 250php each on Feb 19 and 20th, 2021.

Please, refund that ammount to my bank account, as I didn't subscribe to your service and had an inactive membership.
I've been unable to cancel my free trial and was subsequently charged for the subscription against my wishes.
I've emailed 3 times now to cancel my free trial. I received an email to call the number and reference the code to cancel- when I called DURING THE BUSINESS HOURS the line said they were closed. When I finally got through to the recording, the reference number didn't work. I was then charged for the subscription ($69.00) even after cancelling my card to avoid having this charge! I expect to be refunded for this.
Desired Outcome
A full refund.

Tried to cancel mutliple times, when reached out for help was not assisted. They charged me and haven't responded to refund me for their error.
Tried to cancel my account mutliple times to no avail. I reached out immediately (via email, there is no telephone to call and speak to a real human). Email said I did not cancel within the proper time, though I tried mutliple times and contacted for help promptly upon not being able to cancel. I was charged a full premium subscription of $69.99 for "not canceling" and the only help I received was them allowing me 3 additional months free. I have mutliple times since, emailed and have not heard back for over 4 days now. I have bank proof of the charge, a screenshot of the phone cancelation attempt with date in the picture, and have retained all emails asking for assistance and a refund to both their support team and billing department emails. Please, someone help. This is messed up.
Desired Outcome
A refund of my $69.99 and to NEVER be allowed to sign up again. Block me from your services, otherwise you may "accidentally" charge me again.

I have been trying to obtain a refund for at least a week, and they have said they will refund me as a "goodwill gesture". So long as I am refunded I will be content.
Was charged for a mistake I made and now won't reimburse me.
On Aug 16, 2020, 10:59 PM I contacted Shaw Academy through email (only way to contact them). I stated that I viewed the first course (which was free) and decided I didn't want to take it....not what I thought it was. While trying to delete my class and account I made a mistake and clicked on a button to receive a tool kit for $39.99. I emailed a representative and requested a refund and also told them I will not be taking the course because I didn't like the introduction. The representative told me that isn't possible and suggested I take the course.
Desired Outcome
I would like a refund for $39.99. It was a "take a free course for 30 days" and I cancelled the first day. Plus I made a mistake and clicked on the button to receive the "tool kit" that I didn't want. I t was a mistake and I don't feel like I should be charged.

Received email response from support. My cell phone number was entered in error for a different person. Company says they removed it and apologized for mistake. If this ends contact I am satisfied and complaint can be closed.
My I was charged 69.99 for a trial I was never able to use. My account never registered. No way to "cancel" because no account existed!
I signed up for a trial on or about 07/31 and by signing up to attend online classes the next day .
I was sent a link through text to attend class. When I would click it, a message that read "class has ended" popped up. Even though it was literally the start time.
When I tried to log into my account to see what was going on, it appeared that there was no account registered. So, I did what any sensible person does, attempted to reset my password. but to no avail because the log in page read "no account exists with this email"
Frustrated because I had entered my payment info!
I tried to get a contact number to call their support team to help me trouble shoot my issue only to see there is no phone number.
I was exhausted at this point. So a couple weeks later I filled out one of their, "contact forms' through their web portal on 08/17 letting them know I do not give permission for them to charge my account and that there was no way for me to "cancel" my subscription since my account did not fully register leaving me void of the agreement I had signed up for.
The least they could have done was attempted to stop the payment from processing.
24hrs later I received an email back from their support team saying and I quote:
"Having checked your account, I see that you are not under any paid subscription as you had registered through ***@gmail.com " and not entered your payment details. So, it is not required to cancel anything.
Please be assured that you will not be charged for the membership until you subscribe."
I responded by letting them know I was never able to log in to cancel my trial! He knew I was never able to log in in the first place!!!!! He could have stopped the payment then!
on 08/18 I get the 69.99 Charge on my account. JUST AS I FEARED!!!!!
I sent them the image of my billing charge and this is what he responded on 08/20
"Thank you for reaching out to us!
I see that it has been charged your account I am sorry for that charges your subscription was not cancelled during the trial period, so the payment was processed. your Shaw Academy One Course Membership - Monthly Subscription, However I canceled your membership for subscription And I have extended your membership for additional , 6 .Months access absolutely free any course . You just need to login to your account and attend the classes. If you do that I am sure you will get back on track and achieve your goals as per this benefit is completely free""
What game are they playing! I dont want anything to do with this fraudulent company. I am still unable to find a phone number.
I just want my money back.
The agreement became VOID when I was unable to access their account services. So I should be refunded IMMEDIATELY
Desired Outcome
FULL REFUND

Cancelled subscription, but they still took payment
I subscribed to a free 4 week trial on 23rd July 2020 and was told that I need to register my card details in order to start the course. After supplying my details I started the course, but quickly realised it was not worth it and told a representative of Shaw Academy that I no longer wnated to continue. As this was still within the 4 week trial period there was no payment due. However they took a payment of £49.99 on 22 August 2020.
I have not used any of their services outside of the 4 week free trial period and I cancelled the subscription in line with their refund policy.

They have issued a refund
I cancelled subscription after not doing ANY of the courses, but the person who responded to request for refund refuses to provide refund (or partial)
I began trial for courses. However I cancelled my subscription because the trial was ending and I did not have the time to start nor get any of the courses I initially was interested in done. I cancelled shortly after 11pm my time, on the day prior to the billing due date, however the money was still taken out of my Paypal account. I made contact to customer service explaining that I never got to use their course services and would not have the time to do so and requested a refund. I was told I cant get a refund but as compensation they would offer me several months free. I responded letting them know that due to circumstances, that offering would not be proper compensation seeing that I absolutely had no time foreseen to embark on taking these courses, so yet it would be another waste. I even agreed to a partial refund because the whole point was that I CANCELLED my subscription and would NO LONGER be using it. So even if some refund fee had to be accounted for and the rest refunded for this fact and to uphold the integrity of the business, that would also be okay. But during these hard, unprecedented time we're in, there can be some exceptions given with discretion to all policies. I also asked for a contact to get in touch with management and it was thereafter that Pedro, the customer service person stopped replying. Darren then responded to my message after that saying my issue was being reviewed but I never heard back from anyone since, even after sending 2 emails. This company has absolutely horrible customer service
Desired Outcome
Refund for the monthly payment taken of $69.99 or even partial refund

My initial complaint was resolved and I received the refund for the service I didn't use
Shaw academy refused to give me a refund and cancel my premium membership. I am appalled by the attitude of the employees and business.
I signed up for Shaw and was horrified by the complaints and reviews about the company. I immediately called the office the day of signing up (thankfully I used my paypal) and was met by a woman who was annoyed by my request to cancel and refused to just do as I asked. She constantly pushed me not to cancel and give me a 40 dollar refund for the toolkit I accidentally purchased.
I was extremely uncomfortable by her unwillingness to do as I ask as it was MY MONEY on the line. I will be calling again tomorrow to demand cancelation of the premium membership and will be leaving more reviews on my experience if this is not rectified.
Desired Outcome
I want a $40 refund on the toolkit and a cancelation of the premium membership on my account before I am charged $70!!

Bait and switch. Offered a free 30 day course for digital marketing. I cancelled, never took course and they charged me for 3 months before I noticed
Before any of the free courses ever began, I cancelled. Especially as soon as I found out they were selling ad on services and course materials that I could learn for free via google digital garage. They kept trying to offer me a free course and free materials, and I kept declining. My mistake was using my former company's email to sign up with. When I disputed 3 months of course fees ( I never took 1 class) with my credit card company, they refuse to reimburse me stating that I had to prove I cancelled the course via my former employers email (impossible). TOTAL SCAM STAY AWAY!!!!!!
Desired Outcome
This company needs to make right 3 months of charges for a class I never took (not enen 1 class). 69.99 x 3 = $209.98 ASAP
Then this company needs to explain to me why they continued to charge me AFTER I CANCELLED WITHOUT TAKING ANY COURSE.

Since I cancelled the service within a few days and never took the course, I digress.
Further, I note that you sent me text messages attempting to recruit me back into the program after I cancelled. "You CAN do this! Restart your 30-day free trial with Shaw Academy and we will give you a free course toolkit."
However, you sent my credit card company false information when they researched my claim by stating that you sent me Renewal reminder emails (FALSE) on 21 Apr 2020 , 22 May 2020 , 19 Jun 2020. This is absolutely false and I demand further evidence of this claim. Additionally, your company states in the report "The customer has not communicated/requested for cancellation," YET you attempt to recruit me back via text messages on my phone (thankfully, I have record via google hangouts). Additionally, you never tried to call me back on an American phone number as I was receiving international calls on my phone yesterday, perhaps from Shaw Academy? I don't answer unknown international calls if you did attempt to call me, otherwise, I never heard back from this merchant. We had emails go back and forth but never a call from an American business line.
This, in addition to the 2,127 Revdex.com complaints in the past year, 1 star from 373 reviews on Trust Pilot, 140 Reddit comments relating this company having questionable billing practices has me shocked. How can a company continue to do business the way they have with me and several other customers and still be in business globally? This is not the type of business or educational practice that makes the world a better place. This is very shocking, really. I would appreciate additional clarification to the above mentioned business practices and frankly, answers to the lies of this merchant.

While thankful and appreciative of the resolution, I have several concerns. First, questionable business practices of making it extremely difficult to cancel and shockingly, not honoring a cancellation. Second, my time. This took hours to resolve and lot's of patience to resolve. Third, the blatant lies to my credit card company via a manufactured report, this is where I would wage a class action lawsuit to simply put this awful company out of business. I mean, who does that?
I signed up for a free trial membership. I canceled online the day before the expiration and was required to call customer service to cancel.
I signed up for the service last month under the free trial membership. I just got hired for an accounting position so I felt like this could be a good program. I attempted to cancel my membership by their online portal and as soon as I completed the many questions required to cancel, it then informed me that I had to call customer service so they can attempt to keep my business. EVERY online service I have ever had made it easy to cancel online. Why offer an portal that includes the cancel function if it wont execute the action. I tried emailing customer support that day and there was no answer, at this point I was concerned I would be charged because the next day I was going to be charged. All I received at the end of the ineffective cancel membership screen was a student code to cancel (XXXXX) and a phone number that never picked up. I emailed "Roger" multiple times to resolve the issue and he just deffer ed it to another department. My card was then charged and since then (8/12/20). I have not heard anything even though I tried emailing him and a generic contact form. I never received a cancellation email just that student code to cancel. I believe it is bad business and unethical to charge customers when they have gone through a whole ordeal to cancel. To contact a customer service rep when they don't even answer is not right. Please refund my card on file. That is all I ask. For you to do the right thing and not to be shady.
Desired Outcome
Refund my card immediately.

Refuse to refund course toolkit bought inadvertently due to misleading website design
On Aug 4 I saw Shaw Academy's advertisement on social media and enrolled its free 30 day trial on line. Immediately after I enrolled a course I was prompted to purchase course toolkit. I wanted to see what the toolkit include but there is only a purchase button, so I clicked on it thinking it will give me an opportunity to confirm the purchase if there were charges. I was wrong. The purchase immediately went through after I clicked a button one time, no further confirmation and my paypal was charged. I immediately reached out to Shaw Academy via email for a refund and let them know I clicked purchase by mistake. On Aug 21, I was informed by Shaw Academy that "Unfortunately, we cannot process the refund due to our strict terms and conditions. We have now enabled the Toolkit and E-cert for all the courses. "
It is worth mention that I tried their course one time and was disappointed by the quality so I canceled my free trial right away. So I have no need for that toolkit and have never opened it.
I believe the toolkit payment page was intentionally designed to be misleading to consumers so that the company can collect payments through luring interested users to register free trials.
Desired Outcome
Full refund for the toolkit purchase in the amount of $39.99.

I'm being charged for a subscription I cancelled while still in the free trial period, only to find out they've still taken payment out of my account.
I signed up for Shaw Academy back in July but I found it very basic so I cancelled the free trial. I received a phone call to confirm my cancellation and letting me know I was not a customer anymore and I moved on and deleted the app, and now more than a month later, I get a notification from my bank that Shaw Academy took out £49.99 from my bank account for a service I had already cancelled. There's no phone number to call, and all emails are either ignored or have automated replies. When I go to the account section in their website I can't even see or take down my bank details as they don't even show up, so I've no way of knowing if they'll take money out again. This is shady and scammy at best.
Desired Outcome
They have no authorization from me to take out any amount of money from my bank account. I'm lodging a complaint and reporting them for fraud and want a full refund.

I feel acceptable that they refund the £49.99 taken from my bank account without authorization more than a month after being told the service was cancelled and I would have no charge. So yes, I'm glad that Revdex.com (Revdex.com) has helped me achieve this successful outcome on my part. Thank you.
I am requesting a refund due to being charged when I am not even enrolled in a class. I have completed all modules and am still being charged.
I signed up for Shaw's nutrition course. I was charged immediately after the free trial which should have been a huge red flag. I continued the courses and the payment. I finished all 4 modules and have no additional classes or assignments to take. On 8/19/20, they took $69.99 out of my checking account tied to my debit card. As of 8/19/20, I was done with the program with no additional classes to attend. Why am I paying $69.99 to be enrolled in ZERO classes.
I realize this is subscription and in their terms and conditions. I am not asking for the money paid during the courses. I am asking for a refund for the $69.99 taken out of my account for a class I am not even enrolled in.
I reached out to them to cancel AND for a refund. It has taken 3 days and I am STILL going back and forth with them. They have yet to provide confirmation of my account being canceled. They also are refusing to refund even though I have explained I am not enrolled in a class; I do not want a free 6 months, 12 months, toolkit (nothing is free with this company) I simply want my $69.99 back and my account canceled.
Canceling is a chore in itself as you have to go through multiple pages, call a number, and hope you speak to someone without people talking in the background. He still wouldn't confirm cancelation and offered something free. I said multiple times- I JUST WANT TO BE DONE and he wouldn't take that answer.
I have been emailing them for 3 days, requesting a refund, and explaining my current situation which I'm sure is like many others. $69.99 should not be a big deal to refund from a million dollar company; but it is a big deal to people who are struggling and unemployed due to a global pandemic. This company preys on people and takes advantage of them. Please proceed with caution with Shaw.
I have seen their responses on here where they say they will offer a "goodwill gesture" of a refund and that is all I am hoping to get along with being completely removed from their system. I am just asking for them to display compassion *** grace by doing the right and ethical thing in the form of a refund.
Desired Outcome
I am seeking a refund of 69.99 that was debited from my account on 8/19/20. I am also seeking to have my account completely canceled and removed from their system so as not to be contacted via phone, email, Facebook, or any other means of communication.

When I finally got through to the recording, the reference number didn't work. I was then charged for the subscription ($69.00) even after cancelling my card to avoid having this charge! I expect to be refunded for this.

To recieve a full refund

I want a $40 refund on the toolkit and a cancelation of the premium membership on my account before I am charged $70!!
We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged $39.99 for the purchase (Toolkit Module) you made via our one click purchase option. Shaw Academy billed my account without my permission.
On 8/20/20 I signed up for Shaw Academy free art class. A 30 day trial. 30 seconds after signing up, they took $39.99 out of my account. They have ignored my emails since. Even though I cancelled the trial and asked for a refund.
I would like refund of the $39.99 taken out of my account.

This company needs to make right 3 months of charges for a class I never took (not enen 1 class). 69.99 x 3 = $209.98 ASAP Then this company needs to explain to me why they continued to charge me AFTER I CANCELLED WITHOUT TAKING ANY COURSE.

We have reviewed your account and the conversation our support team. We would like to inform you that our support team have already initiated a refund which will be credited back to the source in next 3-5 business days.

Refund my card immediately.

Signed up for free trial and was charged for it anyways. They refused to refund me.
I signed up for a free trial and was immediately charged to my bank account for $110 split between 2 charges. I called and emailed them, but was told that a refund was not possible. They literally stole money from me through false advertising.

While I accept the refund, I disagree with the claim that I was rightfully charged for a FREE TRIAL. Don't pretend that you are just refunding me as a "gesture of good faith" when you clearly were in the wrong.
Diploma certificate not received yet
I had completed all my 4 modules final assignment and had paid for them already.
I had not still recieved the diploma certificate yet
I need my diploma certificate ASAP.

They have no authorization from me to take out any amount of money from my bank account. I'm lodging a complaint and reporting them for fraud and want a full refund.
We are sorry that you had to go through this entire ordeal. Please be assured that your account has been deactivated and we have initiated a refund which will be credited back to the source in next 3- 5 business days. Please let us know if there is anything else you need assistance with.

I am seeking a refund of 69.99 that was debited from my account on 8/19/20. I am also seeking to have my account completely canceled and removed from their system so as not to be contacted via phone, email, Facebook, or any other means of communication.
We are sorry that you had to go through this entire ordeal. Please be assured that your account has been deactivated and we have initiated a refund which will be credited back to the source in next 3- 5 business days. Please let us know if there is anything else you need assistance with.
