REFUND PROCESSED. CHECK SENT 10/4/2017 SEE ATTACHED THANKS [redacted]

as you stated the truck ran well untill you installed the distribtor incorrectly. we only removed it and install it correctly. which would not cause any internal mechcanical problems. the engine noise was the same as it was previous. I am sorry that you spend the money on the truck and were disspointed after. the dealership will not take respondabilty for your decision.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I reviewed the business reply and I do not agree.  I hit the wrong button and it sent a blink reply.
MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:
if you read the email I sent Mrs.[redacted] you can see that it was impossible for the wheel to be left loose and for the truck to be driven 287 miles.  the auto care shop did a entensive check over of the loose wheel and did not see any damage to the wheel which after 287mile being loose it would be badly damaged. is it possilbe that some one was trying to steal the new tires on her truck? we have many customers towed in with all four wheels and tires missing that were stolen. if she likes i will do a alignment ck and give her a print out to prove the alignment is correct. after my investigation I do not feel any responsibilty to this occurance.
thank [redacted]

This reply does not cover my full complaint, he mention that he would not have been able to do a wheel alignment if the wheels was not tighten and I have written notice from another shop that my wheels had to be tighten.  I feel he should refund my fee that I paid to have my wheel tighten.  I park in a private driveway that is well lite and do not believe that story about someone trying to steel my tires.  This is a pretty big truck for someone to think they can come in my driveway and remove my tires I do no part on the street.  Can he send a report showing the original alignment was done correctly?  If not he should refund the wheel alignment.
He did not mention the refund he had promise to mail for having my remotes re-programmed after replacing the blinkers.   The total claim should be $192.71   If you read my original complaint for $137.45 that did not include the$55.26 he promise to send and to date the check has not been receipt.
I do not feel he reply covers all my concerns.
Thank you

I was offer an Oil change club card - not what I expected.   I purchased a 2015 Ford F150 truck and spent over 40k.   I was told by both my salesman and the finance director that I could add a sunroof - "No problem".   Then when I asked to have it installed we find out the truck is not compatible with any sunroof - only direct from the factory.   So what I am looking for is the change to purchase a new vehicle form the factory - exactly what I would have done if I was not given false information.   Come on guys - you own a business that is based in customer trust - do the right thing.
Regards,

as you stated the truck ran well untill you installed the distribtor incorrectly. we only removed it and install it correctly. which would not cause any internal mechcanical problems.it ran well at the dealership. the truck is 23years old and things do happen. as per our phone...

conversation have the vehicle towed in and I will extend a courtesy of diagnosing what the problem is.  the phone number to the towing company is [redacted].the dealership respectfully declines any reimburstment .

we did offer the customer a discount on the repair. this was his second set of brakes on this truck. the rotor would have o be replaced anyway.

I purchased a 2008 Suburu Outback from Sheridan Ford a year ago. I brought the car to a mechanic to have it looked at and they said the head gaskets were leaking. I brought it back to Sheridan and asked them to give me more of a break on the price and they said no. They told me the engine was in good condition when I bought it. Now its in the shop with a blown head gasket and I am looking at $2,400 in repairs. Might actually be $3,300 if the catalytic converter is shot. Don't do business here. I guess I should have known when over one third of their reviews on FB are 1 out of 5 stars. Thanks for nothing Sheridan.

The vehicle is out of warranty, the customer has an oil related failure and has no previous oil change reciepts. The oil sample sent to a indepentant lab came back as not be seviced regularly. The facts indicate the the engine oil was not serviced regular. As stated in the owners manual it is the customers respondiblty to maintain the oil changes intervals.

To Whom it May Concern, We are deeply sorry that the customer feels they have had a poor experience with our Dealership.  That being said, there are several factors involved in this transaction over which Sheridan Ford did not have control.  We cannot control the amount that vehicles...

depreciate.  As far as the vehicle having a clean Auto Check, we provide that information to the customer, but it is by no means a guarantee that the vehicle has never been in an accident nor is it a guarantee that the vehicle has not had any issues.  We cannot control when or what information Auto Check includes on their report. There is no law requiring a car dealership in the State of Delaware to disclose a vehicle’s accident history.  We also cannot control whether the customer has or does not have equity at the current point in their loan.  Equity is as much a result of the term or the interest rate of the loan as it is the condition of the vehicle. We have spoken to the customer and attempted to resolve this, but the customer did not agree to our offer.  We are still open to help the customer trade the vehicle in at a value similar to what it would be worth without the accident history.  This offer has only been made because we do not want any customer to feel the way [redacted] feels.  That being said, we are not willing to do what she has requested.[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,  We are in contact with Mr. [redacted] to rectify the situation.  We are exploring a few optionsand hopefully we will be able to come to an amicable solution. Thanks,[redacted]General Manger

Due to you limited technical experiance , I respectfully decline.Tell us why here...

MRS [redacted] HAD A 2007 FORD FUSION VIN#[redacted] TOWED IN ON 11/3/2015. IT WAS FOUND TO HAVE A HOLE IN THE BLOCK. IT WAS TWO QUARTS OF OIL SHORT OF THE FIVE REQUIRED DUE TO THE HOLE IN THE CYLINDER BLOCK WHERE IT HAD LEAKED OUT. THE VEHICLE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED THREE...

YEARS AGO. SHE ASKED FOR SOME ASSITANCE IN HAVING THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. WE ASKED FOR OIL CHANGE RECIEPTS DUE TO IT LOOK LIKE A OIL RELATED FAILURE. SHE STATED SHE DID NOT HAVE ANY AND COULD NOT REMEMBER WHERE SHE HAD THEM DONE. SO WE SENT A OIL SAMPLE TO A LAB TO HAVE IT CHECKED. THE OIL SAMPLE CAME BACK WITH A RATING OF A FOUR. ONE IS CONSIDERED NORMAL FIVE IS A DESTRUCIVE.  WE DISCLOSED THIS TO HER AND SHE DISAGREED.IF THE OIL IS NOT CHANGED ON AN REGULAR BASIS THIS IS THE COMMON RESULT.

You guys never had the truck running well. When I picked it up and talked to Tim about that fact that it never sounded like that before, he said they pulled and reinstalled the distributor and that's what it sounded like. So it had been running terrible and shaking when I was called and was told there was only a "light knock" and acted like it wasn't a big deal. I would like to restate, I want a refund on the brake and oil change that you (knowingly or unknowingly) deceived me into getting. Words have meaning and you have to be accountable. I had made it clear from the get-go that I did not want the brakes fixed unless the truck was working. We clearly have a differing opinion on what constitutes a working truck.
It also think it shows how much they appreciate their customer base in their response. I've bought 2 vehicles there and have had my vehicles serviced there and to attempt to make this situation right and keep a customer they are willing to give me a free estimate on trying to figure out what's wrong with it now... it's insulting.

Regards,

THE CHECK FOR $55.00 WAS SENT AS PROMISED. THE ALIGNMENT WAS PREFORMED AT THE DEALERSHIP WHEN THE TIRES WERE REPLACED AND I DISCUSS PAYING FOR THE WHEEL TIGHNING AND I WAS SCREAMED AT AND WAS TO NO SHE DID NOT WANT ME TO PAY FOR IT. AT THIS POINT IT IS NO LONGER ON THE TABLE.  THANK [redacted]

I did have my oil changed on the vehicle.  Sheridan Ford was the last business to change my oil and they noticed nothing wrong at that time with the engine so they have stated.  Yet less than 2 weeks after that I have a hole in my engine.  They were negligent on advising me of any concerns with my oil or my engine.  This does not resolve my issue.

THE CUSTOMER WAS NOTIFIED AFTER DIAGNOSES THAT THE MOTOR IN THE VEHICLE NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MOTOR WAS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER THROUGH FORD MOTOR COMPANY. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY POLICY THAT THE CUSTOMER BOUGHT AT ANOTHER DEALER ONLY HAD PROVISIONS FOR 5 DAYS RENTAL. SHERIDAN FORD DID CONTACT FORD...

AND ASSISTED IN GETTING 10 ADDITIONAL DAYS FOR THE CUSTOMER. WE INSTALL THE NEW ENGINE WITHIN THREE DAYS OF DELIVERY AND HAD VEHICLE WASHED BEFORE DELIVERING TO CUSTOMER.

Review: On February 22, 2014 I had my vehicle serviced at Sheridan Ford. The type of service that was requested was to fix the reservoir for my windshield washer fluid and oil change. The washer fluid was not coming out of the hose and it was time for the oil change. When I took my car in and after the Tech inspected my vehicle, I was told that my coolant system needed to be flushed and the hose on the fluid bottle needed to be replaced. After the work was completed when I arrived home I noticed my car leaking on the driver side of the car, I thought it was from the fluids being topped off but it continued to leave a large amount of fluids underneath my car everyday. I took my car back in on 3/1/14 and the Tech examined the car and said that it was a leak in my radiator. I did not have any type of leaks at all when I carried my car in to have it serviced and also, the Tech did not mention anything to me about any leaks on my car. The person that was in the office on 3/1/14 name was [redacted], she suggested that I bring the car back in on 3/3/14 to have Ken Walter take a look at it. The business was closed due to inclement weather but I was able to talk with Ken and he ask me to bring the car in on 3/4/14 which I did. The outcome was yes, it is a leak in the radiator from too much pressure that was put on it and they wanted to charge me another $480 or $550 dollars to fix it. I told [redacted] that I just paid them $542.90 and did not have that kind of money. He told me that there was nothing else that they can do and when I had the money that I can come back and they would put another radiator in. I feel as though the leak was caused by Sheridan Ford and they should be the ones to cover the cost of the radiator because my radiator was working just fine and I did not have any leaks at all when I took my vehicle in.Desired Settlement: I would like for this matter to be settle by replacing my radiator or giving me a refund because my radiator was fine until they flushed out the coolant system. I did not have no type of leaks at all until they blew a hole in my radiator.

Business

Response:

the general manager of the dealership ** call the cust and lower the cost of the repair to $300.00 as a goodwill gesture. there was no connection between the coolant flush nad the radiator leak, the flush is done at half system pressure.

Consumer

Response:

Review: I dropped my Ford F150 for a tire rotation and oil change. Upon arriving home I noticed the rear rim was damaged by the dealership. Three large dents/ scrapes were evident in the middle of the wheel. I spoke with the Service manager who denied culpability, and refused to repair the damaged wheel.Desired Settlement: Replace wheel with new replacement.

Business

Response:

the customer showed us the damage to right rear wheel . damage was significant and was not damaged at dealership. dealer agreed to split cost with customer as goodwill toward customer. he refused.
