Popular course amongst my friends, so I tried it and I did great. They had already reseached it and many took it and did well. I did it in a different location than them, but the results were the same -- I did great.

I wanted to write a review for Sherwood Test Prep because my SAT Test Prep course helped me get into a good school.

I feel that it was an important part in my SAT studies along with books and a lot of practice tests. My score is a reflection of the knowledge and effort I had in class.

My parents paid for the course and I'm going to college in the fall. They expressed I should be thankful for the help I received for this part of my application process. Thank you for your help.

Well, Sherwood was a really solid course! I had the pleasure of taking the 6 Week GRE course, I loved the weekend schedule; it worked really well for me, and of course it was much much much better to be prepping with the class than by myself. The materials were very comprehensive. I had an excellent instructor, who seemed really motivated to teach the class and really cared to spend time explaining things to make sure all students understood.

Review: Scheduled GRE Prep course for my daughter to begin 8/25 for test date of 10/18. Company cancelled course today. At this late date no alternative.

My daughter is planning to attend graduate school and is required to take the GRE Oct 18. Sherwood Test Preperation website promotes having advanced degreed highly qualified instructors throughout the areas they serve. A 6 week course beginning 8/25 was offered by Sherwood Test Prep. Given her learning style the timing of the Sherwood Course and the clams about their instructors was perfect. We were notified after 9:00pm EST (our time zone) on 8/21 that the 8/25 class is cancelled because no instructor is available.

This late notification provides no alternatives for test prep for the required Oct test date. A refund was offered or a later course dateNeither prepare my daughter for the 10/18 GRE test.Desired Settlement: Course offered as promised by qualified instructors. Website claims to have many advanced degrees instructors. If this is the case should have someone to teach course or offer private tutoring. My daughter is left with no options.

Kind and friendly customer service staff. I called them for a test that I thought they prepped for but did not so instead of just shooing me away they helped me do the research to find another test prep company in my area and even recommended me to their competitors because they couldn't help. How many companies do that? Usually they state some excuse and get you off the phone. They actually wanted to help me even though I didn't pay them a dime.

Review: Changed dates and times of test prep classes after date for refunds.

Signed my son up for their SAT prep service. Scheduled for 6 sessions of 2.5 hours each. AFTER the date where you could get a refund, they changed the dates to 5 sessions of 3 hours which were not good for us. This was done after the date where you could get a refund, which I believe is fraudulent. We then did not send my son to the classes and tried to get a refund. Called them to discuss but they would only credit for one class missed. Went through my credit card company to try and get a refund but Sherwood refused again.Desired Settlement: $374.17 for unused class time due to unannounced changes in schedule after the refund period had expired.

This is a customer that cannot be satisfied. Instructor offered private tutoring and extra hours after each class to the student. The customer not only declined this offer, but decided to not attend class based on their own decision. Instructor is a PhD Candidate at Princeton University with University Teaching Experience and Top Test Scores. Instructor and Company tried to work with customer and went out of our way to satisfy them, but this is a customer that cannot be satisfied.

1) They did not answer the claim about changing the dates and times AFTER the refund period had expired, instead choosing to make it personal about a customer that cannot be satisfied.

2) They do admit to changes though by claiming personal instruction, etc. which was not what we signed up for nor wanted as this is not effective for our son.

3) Instructors credentials have nothing to do with this dispute.

The above three points clearly show Sherwood to be fraudulent by not giving a refund for clearly changed terms of sale.

Great customer service, friendly phone staff who seem to care. I liked that they wanted to help.

I trusted my friend's recommendation of the course and almost signed up, but also did a Revdex.com search and found that the company was accreddited for almost 10 years, so that really helped in my decision to sign up.

I had a great course and am a better test taker now.

Wasn't too excited to take another test for admissions, but it was a requirement. I looked up this company and took a local class earlier this year. Honestly, I wasn't very excited in class or participated much, but I did my homework and did try and pay attention. It helped. Not sure if I will get in, but I think the class helped me do about the best I could considering my low motivation level. That's good, and bad!

I would recommend highly. Customer service was friendly when I had questions. I liked their webpage. The course made me a better test taker, at least for the short-term. I was suprised by the instructional quality, and the building up of my confidence week by week studying for the test.

Researching classes can be difficult, that's why I trusted the Revdex.com. Very good course for me and for any student willing to be dedicated and studying.

Most classes provided useful information and the homework provided lots of help to practice. A very good course.

When in doubt of your test taking skills take a test prep class like this. I chose this company and class because of the format and that they offered classes with other people, not an online group room. The price was also right. The format of meeting once per week is ideal because you have time to spread the work out, and not cram. I don't think it is good to cram, especially for a test like this. I talked to the staff to sign up over the phone and it was quick and easy.

I had a positive experience with this company. The class they offered was of high quality and the instructor provided was very good. I always research the Revdex.com and their profile helped me in my decision to choose this company.

Worthwhile class for the money.

Looks like they have been in business for a long time. They must be doing something right.

Review: In December of 2014 I started a GRE course in Santa Barbara but was the only one in the class but the class continued. In addition to being the only student in the class my mother had a serious health issue and lived 2 hours from my location. I knew Sherwood test prep had a no refund policy once you start the course so I went to one more class but found out my mom was going to die. Obviously, I would be unable to continue the course with such news. I spoke to Sherwood test prep and they said they could not give me a refund but I offered to provide proof but they declined the proof. "To keep course costs low we only provide refunds under limited circumstances" this comes straight from Sherwood test preps refund policy. I would say a mother dying is a limited circumstance. I do realize and respect their policies but when something so extenuating occurs they should consider the individual situation. so they did offer me a year to retake the course. now its been four months and they claim they never made such an offer to me and there is nothing they can do for me. They should at least honor the credit they gave me back in January. also , I needed the refund when my mom was passing away for the hotel costs to stay near her and not having that money made it financial difficult for me. I also sent a letter to the CEO of this company but received no response.Desired Settlement: 549.00 for the cost of the course I paid in December.

She declined this. We stated the instructor would help custom mold the remaining hours of the course for her if she continued to attend. She declined this as well. I am rejecting this response: I rejected the continuing of the class because my mother was dying which they knew and refused to make any exception or take any proof of my situation as I offered to give them. I was not offered anything but to take the course within 6 months to a year but when I went to register this summer they had no record of such a transaction. of course I rejected their other offers because my mother was dying and was told she had 6 months to a year to live and how would I be able to complete any course with this information, I needed to be with my mom not take any course whatsoever. They knew the situation and they stood by their policy repeating it over and over to me without regard to my personal situation. of course I knew the policy that is why I continued the course but when I discovered my mothers situation would result in death I could not continue. The point is they make no exceptions to their policy when tragedy strikes or takes situations on an individual basis. I needed the money to visit my mom and I told them but they still stood by their policy as they are repeating now to the Revdex.com. my mother lived 2 hours from me and I needed the money for the hotels stays but they still stood by their policies. They should have refunded my money and not offered to repeat the course when they knew that would be impossible for me to do considering my individual situation. Even now they are defending their policy even though they put me through extra mental anguish at the time my mother was dying. I even wrote a pleading letter to the CEO of this company and received no response. I want my refund due to the extra financial burden they placed on me during my mother's illness.

Review: I signed up a SAT test prep service for my daughter, one the first day of the course, she signed up and I was presented with a sign in sheet, it turned out this signed in sheet was a contract for non-refund. My daughter did not like the course after the introcudctory course and I tried to work with the test service to rescheudle the program for her to take at a later time, I was told I could do that initially, but since then I have not been able to get any response back from the Sherwood test rep. My credit card was charged and I was not able to get refund back either. Now the represenstive email is bouncing back and I contiune to call the center left messages without any response back from the program. This is literally turned into a nightmare for I and my daughter trying to get a resolution for the issue at hand. I need my money back for the program which my daughter never completed because it is not fair for us to pay full program where she only showed up for the introductory session.Desired Settlement: Please provide full refund to the program fees which is close to $500 thanks

When he registered his daughter online the customer understood the terms and conditions of our courses: "Once you have attended your first class, there are no refunds of your course fee."He, along with his daughter, signed their consent form, which confirmed for a second time that he understood the terms and conditions of our services, specifically: "there are no refunds for any reason once you have attended any part of your first class". Customer’s email account states that he not only has M.D. (Medical Doctor) and J.D. (Lawyer) degrees, but he also has a Ph.D. (Professor) degree. We believe he did understand the terms and conditions of our services.His daughter was registered for a 7/13 Start Date course which is over 5 months ago. After the first class she chose to no longer attend and at that time they did not state there were any problems with the instructor or class. Their course qualified for a free repeat which is valid for the consecutive session (8/24 Start Date). A course was offered for that date and they could have attended that session for their free repeat but chose, again, not to attend.We have been in contact with this customer many times and had apprised him of his options.This customer has passed their free repeat course date and no longer qualifies for a free repeat or rescheduling of their course. As the customer understood, there are no refunds of the course fee when they decided not to attend.The customer decided to not attend the course based on their own personal decision.

Walked away with a better score. This was all that I could have asked for. I didn't score sky high but I had a great improvement and I would highly recommend this company and their GRE Course.

A thoughtful class, was well prepared by it. They have thought out all of the different types of strategies and such for each type of question and they have methods, or what they call plans of attacks for different question types. Its a good program, no, a great program for GRE preparation.

Signing up was easy, got my materials on the first day, and I personally liked my instructor. So overall it was a "10" experience, positive.

Wide open opportunities for my son after this class. His score went up a combined 240 points on the SAT and he excelled in his weakest subject math. I'm very happy with my purchase, and more happy for my son, we are excited for his opportunity this fall and spring through the application process. Now he has a much larger field of schools to choose from, hopefully. I would recommend the course to anyone.
