did speak with a CS “overload” and was able to order one of the three products that I wanted at the same price with free shipping.  I am unhappy that I was not able to place either of the two original orders successfully the first time and that the other two items I wanted and had inititally ordered are no longer available.While ThinkGeek’s order validation may stop a lot of fraud, it clearly stops many legitimate orders and upsets customers. I know of someone else who placed an order during this sale and their order was cancelled.I was told that one of the flags was my phone number didn’t match.  That was becuase I had typed 1 + the area code and number.  Their system should be smart enough to strip off the country code!  The fact that the system saying that (for examnple) [redacted] does not match [redacted] would be a factor in an order being rejected is really inappropriate. Since they have humans verify (and reject) the order, the human should have know those two numbers are the same!Had I know the 1 was a problem and the foreign IP being a problem, I could have easily deleted the 1 from the phone number and had a friend of mine in the US place the order for me. This is really a case of being guilty until proven innocent.The ThinkGeek rep did go out of his way to help me, but he was limited in what he could do at this point, as the items went out of stock.To further compound the problem, the sale started and my orders were rejected after normal customer service hours, so I was unable to contact anyone to receive assistance.

I am rejecting this response because: The total charge for this purchase was $391.68 and so far a partial credit has been issued in the amount of $217.60 which leaves an additional $174.08 that I am still waiting for a credit of..... I am sorry ht your warehouse seems to have been experiencing a lot of issues lately with updating and shipping of orders however this is of NO CONSEQUENCE to me... I placed an order with your website, and you did not fulfill and ship me the order that I placed.  Please see to it that the remaining credit of $174.08 is issued to my card immediately [redacted]

You can also find their statement about proccess below:Dear [redacted],Thank you for your email.Your account shows a pre-authorisation made by Thinkgeek.comShould we not receive the settlement from the merchant the funds will be credited back to your [redacted] Virtual card when the authorisation expiresWhen you make a payment online, what happens initially is that a merchant pre-authorises the amount specified on your [redacted] Virtual card and then proceeds to settle that charge at a later date.Thereby, the real balance on your [redacted] Virtual card will be reduced; however the transaction will not show on your [redacted] account statement until the merchant has settled. It means a merchant has reserved the funds on your [redacted] Virtual Card but not proceeded to complete the transaction (it may have been cancelled) in which case the funds will be automatically refunded to your [redacted] Account as soon as the pre-authorization has expired. As a one time courtesy we can issue a $5 store credit to resolve the issue.  Please confirm if that is acceptable, I can have them issue it today. It's still unclear regarding the slow response. We looked over his ticket again - it was resolved within 48 hours and it was never indicated that our response was too slow or missed the sale because of it.  In addition, we were not asked for a price adjustment in his tickets. We missed the second question in his original ticket, but when he re-iterated and asked about it, I can see we sent a response first thing in the morning (he sent his reply at midnight), and also that he could have gotten the information he needed via the product page.
