We love Sila! Our 10 year old High Velocity AC system is in great shape. And we recently had them replace our water tank and boiler also. The technicians are always helpful and quick and polite.

Working with HVAC Technician Ron C. was wonderful. He's professional, pleasant to talk with, neat in workmanship and cleanup, very informative about the project and needed repairs. Ron C. takes the time explain what is needed. I would recommend him for all HVAC jobs - Unit repair(s) or replacement(s).

The first time Sila told us we needed to have all the insulation for our air conditioning system replaced at major expense, we called a second company specializing in the specific unit we own. They told us this was, in fact, the right kind of insulation.
On an annual service check the next year, Sila now has told us we need three major replacement parts for our boiler at a cost of "only" $1,450! A second opinion from another company revealed that in fact, no repairs are needed; a repairman from the second company simply adjusted the radiators.
Sila, moreover, says it is not their policy to break down the cost of labor and parts. This is a very dubious practice. I found out the names of the parts for the $1,450 repair that did not need to be done and they cost no more than $400, while the unnecessary repair was going to take three hours. You can do the math about how much they are charging for labor.
Get a second opinion!

I call to install humidifier of specific model Aprilaire 700 with automatic control. I was given price $975 (retail price of humidifier is under $300 and all material are included ) and installation date/time. Yesterday I called to confirm appointment, which they did, but they say that they are going to install AprilAire 600 and in order to install requested Aprilaire 700 with automatic control they need additional $220. I agreed (my mistake). Today technician came on time with the correct humidifier. He told that their price $1195 does not include installation of all components of the humidifier, so humidifier will have manual control and automatic control will be additional charge. I cancelled the order

I want to share an outstanding positive experience with SILA in two locations: Newton, MA and Middletown, RI.

This company has awesome customer service, topnotch work crews, as well as an A+ product for air conditioning.

Worth every penny for central air conditioning because we now can totally enjoy the increasingly hot summer times that are happening. Sila AC is a great investment in quality of life as well as the value of our home.

Rip off!! Big time. Serviced my HVAC unit and was told that I had a faulty voltage absorption unit. They charged me $199 to diagnose the problem and $378 for the actual unit. Turns out that this voltage absorption unit is a capacitor, which costs around $15-20 to buy on Amazon and typically 15 min or less to install. The fact that they call it a voltage absorption unit as opposed to a capacitor alone is extremely misleading. When I spoke to them initially, I was told that the $199 was diagnostic fee, but would also cover work done within the first 1/2hour. Overall works out to be about a 20- fold mark up on price of the capacitor. Seems unfair to me. However, after speaking directly with the company about my concerns, the response I got was this is what they charge. It is likely this practice of greatly overcharging extends to the other services/parts they provide. I would never use this company again.

I would leave zero if I could. Let me save you some time, if you’re looking for some decent company to work on your house. DO NOT USE this SILA. I don’t normally give bad review but I gotta to do it this time. Back in January I decided to get the new oil heating system for my house with the company I ended paying more than 10k for this system which I’m not going to say crap about it because I figure “you get what you pay for”. After they installed it, the next day downstairs 68 degree but upstair when my bed room is 78 degree. It’s 10 DEGREES different. It was too much I had to turn it off BUT IT WAS STILL RUNNING. So I called, they came and fixed and I asked why they said it’s a heat migration because someone didn’t do his job properly. But it’s alright they fixed it no big deal. Three weeks later, I smelled oil, opened the door to see what was in there, the oil was leaking from the oil canister so I called, one guy came and spent maybe less than an hour to fix the the cap or whatever, he said that the was just tightened the cap and the nit was kinda loose. Then I said it’s a brand break system then he said sometime it happens. I don’t really trust this guy but whatever. After he left I swear to you on my life the thing started to LEAK AGAIN, I was like WTF! So I called again, one guy came to fix it, this guy was better he made it stop for a MONTH. Now it’s leaking again so I called AGAIN for the THIRD time the guy told me somebody would come. Liste to this I WAITED FOR 5 FREAKING HOURS. NOBODY FREAKING CAME!!!!

Please do yourself a favor. Go with some other company
