I have been a patron of Skin Vitality for almost 12 years. I only attend the clinic in Ajax because of the nurse who works there whose name is Shirlene. She is the only one I trust to do my treatments. She always does an impeccable job and I feel very lucky to have found her as I am always completely satisfied with her expertise and the results of her work.

I did PRP treatment for my hair with skin vitality clinic to stop my hair loss and thicken my hair. It did not work at all for me. If anything, my hair loss has gotten worse since I started my PRP treatment. I am extremely disappointed with the results and I am not happy at all. My first meeting was with ***(sales person) where she verbally assured me that I will see some results for sure and the shedding in the shower will decrease but nothing happened. At this point I am looking to get a full refund. I did not spend little amount of money and to see no results is devastating. I spent approximately $2700. I had started getting PRP treatments in October 2019 total of 4 sessions. I tried escalating this with *** (customer care director). She was not helpful at all And offered me another session which did not help either. She kept telling me to give it time and within 6 months I should see results but it has been almost 10 months and I see no results. They have refused to give me a partial or any refund at all. This is devastating and I am hoping to get some resolution. Thank you.

Desired Outcome

Either a full refund, or a partial refund with hair thickening products.

We have done our best to educate Mr *** on the PRP Process. Results are not instantaneous as we are stimulating new hair growth which takes several months. Mr *** contacted the Director of Patient care regarding his concerns - although too soon to assess the outcome of the procedure she offered him an additional PRP session at no cost along with medical grade products to help optimize his results. (In total over $1500 worth of treatment and product). We have not seen Mr *** since his last session as we have been closed for several months due to Covid 19. We are happy to offer him 1 more session free of charge and another medical grade scalp treatment. We are now opened and Mr *** is welcome to reach out to the Director of Patient care to make arrangements. Thank you.

I have done enough PRP treatments but these do not show results. It has been almost 1 year since my first session. Giving me more session is useless. I just want a refund. Their response is disappointing and the reason I haven't contacted them since march is because they told me to give it time and I knew they were closed because of covid. I would appreciate a refund for wasting my time and no results whatsoever. I have sent my recent pics to the director of patient care. You can clearly see there are no results at all. I am not going to waste more of my time to do useless treatment sessions. Please give me back my money. Thank you.

On November 9 I went to the Mississauga location to get cheek filler after hearing amazing things about the company from a friend! As soon as I got filler I didn't like it but didn't say anything because I assumed it was swelling, I waited one month and It did not improved! Cheeks didn't look natural! They look very high ! I went back and got some vitrase and waited 2'weeks but didn't see an improvement! I read online that Voluma it's hard to dissolve so I ended up going 4 times but the last time I went it dissolved my own fat and now my eyes look very hollow In some areas and puffy in others as filler migh have migrated and cheeks look uneven as I have dents ! I never asked for eyes to be affected at all ! I went back to clinic about 2 weeks ago and was told by injector that I look fine ! My self esteem has been affected and now I am forced to wear glasses to hide eyes and cheek! *** ! I want my money back or for them to fix my face and eyes

We have sent the patient a copy of her before photos, after photos and after dissolving photos. The photos indicate that the hollow she was concerned about was visible prior to treatment. The after photos show a visible improvement. The patient then decided that she wished to have the product removed. Skin Vitality covered the cost to have the product removed. After removal the hallow is once again visible. We are happy to provide photo reference. We have reached out to the patient directly to offer additional resolution.

I paid $5,000 to have the Coolsculpting at the Mississauga location. They took before pictures and I went in for my after pictures which showed zero fat loss. I was told by the technician that it could take up to a year. Well it has been over a year and still zero results and the company now claims I did not go back for my after pictures. I attempted to contact Skin Vitality several times with zero results until I started posting my experience on social media. I was then contacted and asked to reach out to the Mississauga Skin Vitality office and I would be authorized to receive my after pictures by email. The response was that I never came in for my after pictures. I believe this procedure does not do as it says but is a stepping stone to get you in a mindset to change you eating and exercise habits.

As per email sent to customer service x2 with no response.
On November 6th I received *** injections around my lips.
My upper lips are now crooked and / or uneven. Left side is rounded, right side is flat edged.
I returned today for a follow up as scheduled after my initial complaint.
The lady that looked at me didn't look at my before pictures at all, she didn't even look at my lips. She just started grabbing my lower lip *** and started squeezing. She squeezed my bottom lip, and upper lips on both sides, trying to squeeze them into shape I guess. Nothing changed!
She asked me to look in the mirror, and I told her nothing had changed, I showed her the difference and she agreed. I was told that maybe my lips were uneven before getting the injections***
***which they were not it shouldn't matter. The lips should be filled to look even. She told me to come back after 4 weeks (next week) and I could buy further injections to even it out.
I refuse to pay for further treatment to fix a mistake ***
Can you please advise on how we can rectify this situation.....

Offered to fix the problem free of charge.

I went to skin vitality for laser hair removal treatments on my legs, underarms and bikini area. I purchased 5 treatments and received 1 free. I was told I may need to purchase 1 or 2 more but that I shouldn't have problems with it working. During my treatments I followed all of the advise from the technicians but saw little progress. I mentioned this to the technicians when I was nearing the end of my treatments. None seemed concerned, said it takes time.
I called to speak to someone about my concerns and they wanted me to attend an appointment with a sales person. I went in for my next scheduled appointment and when I arrived the receptionist told me I didn't have an appointment that it had be cancelled by one of their staff. I had to find childcare and I drove 45mins for my appointment. I was unhappy and she booked me in for the next week, but the "new" machine wasn't going to be at the Kitchener location so it would have to be with the "old" machine. I was frustrated with this and the receptionist didn't seem concerned or bothered at all. It was their mistake and I was paying for it. I then called back in to complain and was told that someone would be in touch. I eventually had to search the internet for contact information for someone with the company, since no one bothered to contact me. I emailed *** who did get back to me. She made a note in my file to give me two free sessions. I thought finally someone listened and cared. Well she didn't fully listen because I only received treatment on one area not all three. I mentioned to the technician and receptionist and they told me they had to follow what my file said. So I emailed *** back and this time I never heard from her again. After my last treatment in February 2019, I was told to take 6 months and then contact someone to purchase more treatments if I wasn't fully happy with the results. 6 months have come and gone and I'm not happy. I still have to shave because I have hair. It maybe thinned it out a little but I have to shave regularly and that's not what I paid for. I understand they cannot guarantee it to fully work and I may need a touch up, but this is no touch up or something that 1-2 more treatments will fix. Not only did my treatments not work but their customer service is horrible....in person and online/over the phone. I called last week to complain yet again and the person I spoke too said that a manager by the name of *** would be in touch. I said that she had to contact me by a certain date or I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. I never heard from her at all.

Desired Outcome

I would like Skin vitality to refund me the money I paid for a service that wasn't completed and for the fact that I have had to put time and energy into receiving fair and correct treatment that they should just provid.

I purchased a set of three *** sessions from Skin Vitality in 2016 for $1,000 each, after being extremely pressured by their salesperson. I believe her name was ***. I contacted them shortly after and stated that I didn't think *** was the right product for me, and requested a refund. They refused, claiming that there isn't even a way for their system to process returns. Defeated, I went ahead with the laser. I went into the establishment two times to receive treatment. The first time I went, I had to cancel and reschedule the appointment because they had not advised me of any pretreatment precautions that were to be taken. I had casually asked by chance before the procedure if salicylic acid use is permitted before *** treatment, since I had been using it. The technician was surprised and said absolutely not, and that my face would be scarred/ I would be in excruciating pain if I did receive treatment that day. Shocked, I cancelled and rescheduled the appointment. I went for my first session after, and received no aftercare instructions at all. I had no idea what I was to apply to my face and what to avoid. I learned after (by my own research) that there was extensive aftercare that was to be followed. My faith in their ability to safely provide services and care to their patients was shaken. I tried to have the remaining balance of my credit ($2,000) transferred to another service or to receive a refund, and they refused, curtly, claiming that the balance is non transferable. There were absolutely no results or improvements in my skin's texture or tone after the session. On the contrary, I was left with hyperpigmentation. I decided that I would try for a second session, in case their care had improved, and while I was unsatisfied with the treatment and discovered hyperpigmentation around my nose and upper lip, I decided I would try to finish treatment to use the money that I paid them. I noticed absolutely no improvement on my skin after the second treatment either. Not realizing that complaining to Revdex.com was an option, I tried to call back and schedule my third appointment and they claimed that I had no credits remaining on file and that I had used them all. I absolutely had not gone to receive *** three times. I spoke to the manager, ***, in September and she assured me that I shouldn't panic, that she would make it right and call me back. She never did. I called again today (October 21, 2019), and was placed on hold for a long time. *** picked up again, told me she would call me right back, definitely before the store closed, and she didn't. ***.***. I am deeply upset and have no confidence in this company at all. I do not want them administering a fractional laser on my face and feel devastated that $1,000 of my money has been lost and another $2,000 was spent on a laser which did nothing for my face. I purchased those treatments at a time when I had low self esteem ***. I overextended myself financially in the first place to purchase the treatments, and now my money has disappeared entirely.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a refund of my payment in full. Ineffective and inept services were rendered, and even then only part of my initial instalment. I have been *** out of several thousand dollars and deserve a refund for these troubles I've endured.

It is interesting to me that you are suddenly able to produce a rich patient history. When I called a hundred times and asked for information, there was none! Of course, it's also interesting that the history is completely fabricated. You haven't heard from me in three years? What are you guys on? I've been trying to contact you for weeks and weeks but couldn't receive a callback after multiple promises from the business to have a resolution by end of day.***

I never had 2 *** treatments in 3 months? It's actually crazy that you guys are claiming this. And I asked so many times to have it converted to another product and was told that it's impossible! ***.

I appreciate the offer to cover two treatment, but I don't trust you guys! I truly mean this in a respectful way: I don't want to receive treatment from people who are making things up and are constantly evasive. I don't trust that my best interests will be maintained and my skin will be protected. ***

At this point I feel so disheartened by this interaction. I'm asking you kindly to please offer me a refund for the one remaining session. I don't want to do this back and forth (and I'm sure you guys don't either). Please just refund me what's owed and let's all move on.

We cannot refund a purchase from several years ago. We are happy to convert your remaining treatment to any other service or product offered at our clinic. We will add an additional $100 credit as a good will gesture! Alternatively, the other offer stands as well.

I went in for consult on May 13 and purchased a coolsculpting package of 3 treatments on promotion at 30% off Mother's day special . I was booked for my first treatment on May 16 and the subsequent treatment on June 22. I recorded a call from *** at customer service offering an additional 5% off that would be applied as a refund on my credit card. When I went for my appointment on June 22 I was told they did not have me booked and could not do the service. ***. They had me speak to a manger by phone who said *** would follow up. Also *** who was the manager at the location spoke to me and also said they would further offer an additional 5% off and apply credit to my account as well someone would follow up with a call or email. I have emailed twice called customer service and my only request is to get a statement of my charges and for them to process the additional 10% off as promised back into my credit card. No one will reply and I have not seen that they have credited the amount. My original bill was in $2000.00 range and they have charged this but not issued my credit

*** finally returned my email once I notified I was contacting the Revdex.com and sent an email saying that they have now processed the refund but it can take 2 days to see it on my credit card. They would only honour the 5% refund and not the 10% I was told to expect.
I can advise once I see that it has in fact been credited back on my card.

Although they finally only honoured the 5% and not 10% as indicated I have no other option or recourse but to accept this resolution. I will finish the treatments still on my account and will definitely not be a return client. I had to chase the resolution down and the customer service is completely lacking in this establishment. I will take my business to a more professional clinic with proven solid reliable practices policies and follow up.

They sell services that they can not guarantee under the guise that you will have 100 percent results. I refer to *** in my case.I had a technician who admitted never having done the area that I was concerned about and she wasn't sure how to proceed. All said, zero results and lots of run around. I was sold the service with the indication that one small application would solve my problem.
When you guarantee results, you are responsible to deliver said service with results, not to offer cheaper services that will not achieve results.
As for the interest free payments, very dishonest because they don't mention the service charge per month for the "interest" free loan.
*** . I was contacted after my first review of failed services and offered *** Freeze services instead of ***. the purposes of these two services are not at all similar. One is for fat reduction the other is skin tightening. You can't tighten fat. However, it cost Skin Vitality nothing to apply *** Freeze, but it does cost them every time they use the *** machine because they have to buy the cards to operate it and they get a limited time of usages out of it on the one card.
I had been contacted by them to review my results that are still zero and again they offered useless *** Freeze as an option. I haven't heard back from them since then.

I had done the procedure cool sculpting months ago Oct 16/2018 with the Coolsculpting Silver package with excitement and anticipation that I will be a new me with a slimmer figure. Agreement is ISF-XXXXXX and medical rep is ***

However, time has gone by, I am watching my diet, cut down on sugars, regularly go to the gym doing cardio exercises 2-3 times a week but am very disappointed with the results. In fact, since doing your cool sculpting, I have gained not lost weight of about 5-10 pounds and my figure has not been changed at all. Another side effect is that the area on my stomach where the procedure was done, I have skin rashes on them. Total cost $3305

Desired Outcome

Since the cool sculpting procedure didn't do anything as advertised and in fact the results made it worst than before the procedure, my trust in the product is not very confident. Would like a full refund.

I have agreed for a different procedure for result. We will see after the 8 sessions and go from there.

I have been coming to skin vitality since its opening (way back when). They stay on top of the most current beauty trends and always do a fantastic job. Each year they send me a birthday treat which really means a lot. The nurses and staff are amazing and always make me feel special. I turn 60 this year and I still get mistaken for my late 40's. I always leave feeling refreshed, never overdone.

On September 29, 2018 my friend *** and I visited the skin vitality clinic for a consultant for the cool sculpting procedure. I wanted to get more information if I were to the procedure on belly and underarms. I did the consultation with *** and I was told that the procedure is absolutely effective as she did it herself and I would be a 25 percent reduction on the areas treated for the first time.
She convinced me that it would woman's I agreed and placed my faith in her. The total cost was $5,676.96 which I paid $3000 up front and the rest was on a payment plan with heath smart. They told me I had 10 areas that needed the treatment and my appointment was booked for October 27, 2018.
On October 12, 2018 I emailed *** and told her I was having cold feet and I wanted to know if I could cancel or if I could treat only two areas first to see if it worked then treat the others and she responded that there was no cancellation and I needed to do all the areas for optimum results. Hesitantly, thinking I had lost my money I went and did the procedure and was advised to drink a lot of water which a did. I was told that after 3 months I would see the fruits of my labour. Today is February 4, 2019 and I am yet to see the results as promised. I visited the clinic on February 2, 2019 to take the after picture to go along with the before pictures and just as thought was zero results. No reduction, no 25 percent reduction, nothing.
I now feel as though I was *** and lured to believe I would achieve results that was not possible and I believe I should receive a full refund. This is the reason I wanted to cancel or do two areas first. Now they toook my money and I have no results. Please help!

Hello,
The company stated that I have received considerable results to date yet they are willing to spend almost $5,000 to ensure that I receive the results they promised. They offered me 2 free sessions of cool sculpting as well as 7 sessions of another procedure called Venus Freeze meaning I would needs to make 9 trips to their office to complete these sessions and quite frankly I am not willing to put my body through that stress. This was what I told them in an email. I cannot come to terms with why they are willing to spend additional money instead of just giving me back my money. Why are they willing to incur additional loss?
The company should provide Revdex.com with my before and after pictures so that the public can decipher if they was an improvement. There was none-zero.
I am not accepting this offer because I was promised a 25% reduction before and I got none. I have lost all faith in the company and it's procedures and I am not willing to put my body through 9 additional processes that may not work as well.

I absolutely adore this place. Not only do they do amazing work, but they are great listeners, kind, personable, and beyond professional. These are the qualities that you look for when you're pursuing something as personal as this. Fortunately for me, Skin Vitality provides a wide variety of updated procedures to the numerous skin/body concerns I had. I've always been very happy here with my treatments, my results, and my follow-ups. Each nurse has their own specialties and are highly skilled. I've even referred my friends. That's how much I trust the staff and skin vitality.

On August 7 2018 I attended for a consult and provided a non obligated "quote". To secure my "quote" I was asked to provide a $50 Credit Card signature to hold a tentative appointment. I repeatedly defined that this was not a contract and was able to be cancelled without any charges and was assured of such repeatedly. I cancelled via telephone contact prior to the appointment date. A charge of $50 and than of another $2093.61 was taken from my credit card. Contact for follow up resulted in contact to Mrs. *** (Director of Patient Care- Head Office). She informed this was considered a contract- we debated over numerous calls and emails between August 15th into September 2018. I had defined for her the misinformation that was provided to me (I also had my daughter with me to attest to the details provided to me that day). Eventually Mrs. informed that with a medical note she was able to offer a refund. A doctors note was forwarded to her September 6 2018 and confirmed received. She indicated it would take 20 days to process. I have continued to make contact to Mrs. who informed that she had on September 28 2018 forwarded my refund to accounting. I continued to follow up and was again informed by her on December 7 2018 that she had again spoken to the finance manager and the refund was to be processed in the following 2-3 days. This refund remains outstanding. Please see the below email which was my latest contact with Mrs.. I do also have the history of emails in which she indicated the above details including her request for medical notation as well as confirmation that a refund was to be issued.

With the assistance of the Revdex.com I was able to have a refund. I am very grateful for the Revdex.com service.

I received *** treatments beginning December 2017. There were three treatments. I was promised that I would have a sculpted abdomen after the procedure. There were zero results. Even the tech agreed there were no results. I tried over the year to negotiate with *** at head office for a refund or exchange for ***. She offered me further weight loss program worth very little and a small amount of ***. This procedure was $5000.00. I feel that they need to stand behind there treatments and offer a refund or exchange for other treatments that I use with their company. The payment method was through ***. I paid the full amount over the year.
the final treatment was not done until February of 2018 and I am just finishing paying for this now. Discussions regarding refund happened throughout the year with the last discussion being in Oct/18.

I would like a refund or exhchage for *** treatments in the amount of the treatment.

We have been working with this patient for close to a year to help her achieve her goals. Upon completion of ***, this patient was given a series of fat reduction treatments valued at $3864.00. The patient still had not met her goal so we decided to put the patient on a weight loss plan and agreed to cover the cost. The cost of this plan was $823.75. The patient did not follow the program therefore was still unhappy with her results. In attempt to resolve the issue, the patient was offered ANOTHER series of fat reduction treatments valued at $3864.00. The patient continued to contact Head Office regarding her dissatisfaction. Skin Vitality has made 1 last attempt to resolve this issue by offering the patient a *** treatment which is completely unrelated to her concerns however we made an exception. At this point the free services far exceed what she has paid for ***. We are happy to provide emails or supporting documents if needed. thank you

The treatments they offered only supported their lack of faith in the original treatment. The secondary treatment *** had no results either as was witnessed by the technician just like the *** lack of results. The promotional video shows outstanding results ***. I experienced zero results from any of the treatments given. The final was a dry based food reduction program which I was not interested in. I question the value of the treatments given in exchange. I want to know how they justify the value when there is zero results. I did receive a miniscule refund in terms of ***. I was happy with their *** treatments and was willing to continue with their company if they honour close to the full amount of my expense of the *** with *** treatments. *** I am willing to accept an apology and *** credit for $4000.00 which allows for a large administration fee on their behalf.

In May of 2017 I attended Skin Vitality with my daughter. She discussed *** with the attendant to smooth her completion which has suffered as a result of her numerous medications. We were told that if we paid that day, we could take advantage of a sale that would save a significant amount of money. We then would need only to get approval from her doctor to proceed as she has a complicated medical history. Approval was obtained and sent to the office prior to our appointment. When we arrived for the appointment, the technician advised she was not comfortable proceeding in spite of the doctors approval and a full refund would be processed. They have now given us an account credit of $1800 but will not provide a refund. Since that time we have called and emailed several times and either been told the refund was being processed and would take time or not received any call back. Most recently I have emailed and called *** (3 emails and 2 calls in the past week) with no response yet I was told she is in the office. If we had cancelled the treatment I would accept a credit only, however they sold us the service, accepted our money, then refused to provide the service. For this I expect a full refund and not just a credit. At this point I would not be comfortable receiving a service from Skin Vitality.

Full cash refund only. No account credit. We no longer wish to have any dealings with this company.

After a year and a half of emails and phone calls and many empty promises, the money has finally been refunded. It should not have required the intervention of a third party.

I payed $1100. for a cool sculpture treatment on my stomach and I din't get the results I was told that they would never say I would get those results with one treatment that they said I would, I am 5' 5" tall and slim 126 lbs. the measurment around my stomch was 39" before and 3 months later it's still 39" They tried to convince I got results and tried to talk me into getting more treatments. They seem to think $1000.00 is cheap. For me it's a lot of money and they tride to make me feel foolish for expecting to get the results I was told I would get. I told them I was not interrested and left.

on August 27 2018 I was billed on my Mastercard by Skin Vitality Richmond Hill for the amount of $3813.75 for cosmetic procedures I voluntarily requested to have done over the coming months... whereupon at a follow up appointment to have a certain procedure done ..I was told by the company nurse that I was not eligible due to an allergy which I had indicated on my medical form...at which point I asked why this was not questioned at my initial vist before they billed my credit card ..to which she indicated that it should have been and therefore was an error on their part....and I would be given a refund which I requested the same day..I believe on or about Oct 15...the manager told me she would immediately request a credit/refund that day by emailing *** their patient care director...ON october 25 *** emailed asking if I wished to leave said money on account to which I said no ...I definitely wanted a credit...not until I noticed it was not credited on my Mastercard statement did I call the office and demanded an answer...I was told by the receptionist I would be contacted immediately...on Nov 20 I received another email from Ms *** ensuring me I would be compensated that very week..I received a voice mail the next day from ***(?) with a phone number to call which I did and left a message with their office..heard nothing back..I called repeatedly over the next 2 days..which by the way was long distance... and have had no reply....
