 This is not true. I agree that twice I was given a day for roof replacement, but neither any person showed up, nor any material was dropped at my place
Also I never recollect any time Skyshields has ever made attempt to reach me.infact it is true with each and every member of the company. It has been six months without a call from them. At this time only acceptable response woukd be to get my deposit back.

There are cancelation policies. SkyShield has followed it's contract without breach. There is a current outstanding balance on this account. Note line 7 of our Representation agreement signed by this Client. Much of our company is consulting. Not just contracting. 7.Except for emergency repairs authorized in Paragraph 3 herein, Owner is not required to use SkyShield for contracting services. However, if Owner decides not to use SkyShield, Owner will pay SkyShield thirty five percent (35%) of the Available Proceeds received by Owner(the“Payment”)for the services and expertise provided by SkyShield. Whether the Available Proceeds are made payable to the Owner or to SkyShield and Owner or SkyShield and the bank holding a mortgage on the Property, Owner agrees that, to the extent possible, the Insurance Company shall deliver the Available Proceeds to SkyShield and Owner will, within five (5) days of receipt of the Available Proceeds, endorse the AvailableProceeds to SkyShield for SkyShield to deduct the Payment and return the remaining Available Proceeds to Owner. If the Available Proceeds are not delivered to SkyShield, Owner agrees to pay the Payment to SkyShield within five (5) days of Owner’s receipt of the Available Proceeds. If SkyShield is not paid by Owner within five (5) days of receipt of the Available Proceeds, Owner agrees that all unpaid amounts will bear interest at the rate of 15% per annum (or the maximum rate permitted by law, if lower). Entitlement to interest will commence five (5) days following Owner’sreceipt of the Available Proceeds from the Insurance Company.

 In theory, this would be a satisfactory resolution.  If the refund amount is the full amount of the insurance check I handed him.  He has a fuzzy memory of how things went, however, as I never "requested a draw commission" nor received one.  This moral quandary he speaks of is simply his inability to wring profit from fixing my roof.  He has no moral conundrum about dishonoring a contract he signed, though.  9 months is an awful long time to string somebody along, as every time I spoke with someone, they acted like everything was fine and they would fix my roof.

 I have a signed copy of the contract, which acknowledges the receipt of the check, as well as a copy of the check.

SkyShield Roof and Restoration's Lexington representative left the company without notice or giving this client notice. Skyshield's Lexington office management did not hold to the responsibilities and quality that the company strives to uphold. Headquarters has since "cleaned...

house" and is now putting new management in place to insure customers receive the best service possible. SKyshield has been working with this client actively since the problem has been brought to surface.  Skyshield is currently working with the client and the insurance company on the siding. The siding does not have a match, and Skyshield is trying to get their insurance company to replace it fully. We must give the insurance company time to inspect the property and come to their conclusion. We are currently waiting on this process to be completed. We hope when all is said and done this Client will be able to give us a good review at the end of this process.
This winter was a very hard winter with record snow fall, record rain fall, and Skyshield is doing everything in its power to push through projects as quickly as possible now that Spring and good weather has allowed us to get to work. We ask our clients to have patience as we restructure our Lexington Location and build our team back to the quality of service every customer deserves.

This company is horrible. They took our insurance check, cashed it and never completed the work. We have been continually told that they were running behind and would give my husband false dates that they would be there to install the roof. They have since blocked my husband's number. When you call the office, the voicemail is full.

The check was cashed in May and today is August 31.

My husband had the owner (Jake Blanton..google him!) personal cell number. He texted him to let him know that we want our money back. Mr Blanton told him to call the office and there was a procedure! Nobody will answer the phone and the voice mail is full.

We have contacted an attorney and are sending a certified letter to the office to request our money back.
