Like others, I started receiving telemarketer calls about "educational opportunities" within two minutes of signing up for an account. I have submitted a complaint with the company, but I wanted to warn everyone about it here. I will certainly not be using the website, and if a job I want only has the application available there I will speak to that company directly rather than go through Snagajob again.

This felt like a bait and switch scheme. I received an e-mail from this company for a position listing within a very prominent and desirable company in my area, which is very sought after. Below is what I got when I attempted to apply for the position. Also to note when I clicked on "See All Cxxxxx Jobs" there was only a single company listed which was NOT the company I wanted.

Dear Sir,
black; font-size: 11.5pt;">First, we would like to apologize for the billing issue you have experienced during your time as a customer with Snagajob. We understand how frustrating the situation must have been and hope we can earn back your trust.
Upon receiving the complaint you placed with the Revdex.com, we took the time to create a solution that would benefit both you and other Snagajob customers. After speaking with you on January 30, 2014, we reimbursed you for the four months of service you were incorrectly charged for, including this past January, coming to a total of $[redacted]. You will no longer be billed monthly for your initial posting.
Your settlement also requested that Snagajob establish a monthly invoice program that better informs customers of their purchase history. As of January 30, 2014, we have included such a service in our regular communication with customers in order to avoid a similar confusion.
Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and hope you’ll consider using our services again in the future.
Sincerely,

Hi [redacted],
font-family: arial, sans-serif;">Sorry for our delay in processing this complaint. We reached out to the job seeker and did not hear back from him. We checked the process for email unsubscribe and confirmed that it is working as intended. See screenshots below. It appears he did not notice the text stating that he had been unsubscribed. When someone answers the survey, it takes them back to to their preferences page so they can confirm their email settings are off. Because of the feedback that it was not as visible as needed, we will be doing more to highlight and draw attention to the fact that they have been unsubscribed.

Thanks so much and let me know if there are any next steps needed.
Best,

Review: I posted my job posting and two days later Snagajob eliminated my posting and still charged me 89 dollars.I checked my transaction history. I called them and they hung up my phone, tranferred me to other department so I left the voice mail, tried to talked to manager, never got to talk to them. Emailed 3 times, It's been days, never heard a thing from them.Desired Settlement: I want to get a refund.

Review: I signed up for this website on 6/13/13 in order to help me find a summer job before starting college in the fall. I immediately started getting calls from multiple organizations - 7 on the first day and 6 on the second - that were not related to job opportunities. Of particular concern are calls from phone number [redacted]. The person claims to be offering $8,000 federal grants, but won't identify himself or the company he works for. He is asking for my bank account numbers to transfer the grant money. I searched for this number on the Internet, and there are many complaints about this "scam" from this number. I contacted snagajob.com and they told me this NEVER happens from their service. A manager or supervisor was not available to talk with me. They couldn't promise to delete my account or entirely remove me from their database. This has never happened before creating an account on snagajob.com.Desired Settlement: I would like snagajob.com to remove my name, address, email address and phone number from the all their databases. I want all these calls to stop as quickly as they started! I would like to know who has my contact information, but realize that may not be possible. I want these calls to stop! It is not what I expected when signing up for this service to find a part time, summer job.

Review: I advertised a position for a part-time dog walker for my company in August. I received an invoice and was charged for a month. I found in December of 2013 I was still being charged. I contacted Snagajob.com. They contacted me back on 12/31/2013 (approximately 9AM EST) by their staff member [redacted]. I explained I no longer wanted an account and expected the funds to be returned as I had not been invoiced and seemed they were working in bad faith. He stated he did not have the authority to offer more then 1 month of refund. I requested a supervisor. He placed me on hold and then said one was not available. I said I would wait. He then said he would send it to the. billing department for the full refund. It is now 1/20/21014, they have not refunded the money and have charged me for an additional month ($69.00). I also looked at their website and the job is also not posted so I doubt they have actually even provided the service they have erroneously charged for.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of 5 months ($69 per month = $345) and for them to stop erroneously billing me. They should also update their billing practices so customers get a monthly invoice.

Review: I applied for a pizza delivery job at papa johns thru snagajob and at 1:30 in the morning, exactly one hour and a half after I completed the application I received an email from snagajob stating that they allegedly reviewed my application already and decided that I didnt have the particular skill set for the job. yeah, thats right, apparently you actually need a skill set to deliver pizza other than having your own transportaion, insurance, and the basic ability to drive. But what striked me the most was that they had all 3 locations that I applied for, already review my application, over night, and quickly decided that I wasnt fit for the job. This is just insanely unbelievable that they even sent my application out in the first place.Desired Settlement: The reason im sending a complaint is because snagajob asked for my social security, license plate and drivers license number. With that very suspiciously quick response, I no longer can trust them with all that sensitive information, I would like for the [redacted] of the company to personally email me at ([redacted]) and explain to me what the deal is, and assure me that all my sensitive info is removed from their database.

Dear [redacted]

Review: I applied to two jobs on snagajob.com I put my info on the snagajob account the jobs I applied for automatically got my info through the snagajob site when I applied. The job contacted me through snagajob for a interview "online". They asked me for the verification code that snagajob had sent me to conduct the interview. the jobs sent me checks to cash for supplies which bounced in my account I owed my bank . Then they closed my account due to over 4,000 in fraudulent checks. snagajob is responsible for putting scammers on their site to scam people. I have asked snag a job for a reimbursement due to them being an untrustworthy site that put up ficticious job postings.snagajob said they would investigate but never told me their conclusion. these people keep emailing me.

the jobs on the site were [redacted] And [redacted]Desired Settlement: snagajob needs to end the "1 click apply" option on their site. and give me over over 4,000 dollars in good checks to make things right with my bank. or atleast pay 229.00 plus (2000.00 to start up a new account) back to me so I can atleast pay off the debt that I am in due to their fraudulent employers on their site. and open a new account.

Review: I went into my checking account this morning only to see three unarthourized charges that links [redacted] to it.

one is for $1.00 from [redacted],436.00 snagajob and 89.00 snagajob. That has untimitaley made my account negative and there will be a insufficient fund charge to my account. I do not know what is going on but if I have to do a stop payment that is 33.00 for tranaction which is money I do not have as well. I want this issue retified.Desired Settlement: This charges has made my account negative. Therefore there will be insuffiecient fee charges. If I have to do a stop payment that will be a charge as well. This issue is interfering with other bills being paid. I would like charges reversed and any incured banking charges to be paid by company.
