Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/08/11) */

I need to know how much was already refunded to the lender, so we can refund the balance

The customer accepted a check and the conditions of that check were that this was an acceptable agreement between all partiesThis is in addition to the nearly $in payments we gave this customer for car payments, gas, etc over a month periodThe customer accepted the check after consulting with a person who represented himself as the customer's legal counsel on the phone

This car was sold and marked NO WARRANTYIt was on our budget lotIt is a stick shift and on the test drive, the salesperson told the customer that the way he was driving that it would burn the clutch outThe customer came in a few days later saying that the clutch needed a
repair. A brand new clutch can be burned out in a few days if it is driven improperlyEven though the vehicle was sold NO WARRANTY, we offered to pay half of what the customer says is a $repairWe are still willing to pay half even though we have the vehicle well documented AS-IS

This customer specifically picked this car outThey were told that it did have the capability to towA 3000lb towing requirement was never brought into the conversationI am the GM and the first message I received from this customer, I responded to which was on a busy SaturdayI offered to help
the customer trade into a vehicle that they would like better, but they do not want to do thatOther than trading the vehicle, there is nothing else we can doAgain, this customer picked out this specific vehicle

This vehicle was sold and stamped AS-IS, NO WARRANTYThe customer was fully aware that the vehicle was sold and signed all of the documentation supporting that

Mr*** is having issues with his car that according to the manufacturer are to like vehiclesBut with that being said I have contacted Chrysler and our sales manager with an off to get Mr*** into a new car with a different power train setupWe are currently waiting for his
response

How would I know how much their dealership refunded to the lender? I believe the best person to answer that question is Frank, the gentleman in charge of their finance department. I still would like my previous questions answered

This vehicle was waiting for approval from the warranty company on the claimThe claim has been approved and the vehicle is being repaired

This vehicle had the emissions equipment removed and had an aftermarket power tuner put on it. The vehicle was being used as a transport hauler. The combination of hauling heavy loads, removing necessary emission equipment and having a power tuner led to these problems. We got the manufacturer...

to provide trade assistance to help eliminate most of the repair bill. The customer does not want to trade the vehicle now. There repair was agreed to by all parties. If the repair bill is paid, we will release the vehicle and still help the customer trade this vehicle using the assistance that Chrysler has agreed to.

Mr. [redacted] came to pick up his vehicle on Friday morning, 10/30/15. [redacted] and I watched Mr. [redacted] walk around...

and examine the entire car. He then got into his vehicle and left.
Several hours later, at 1:11pm, Mr. [redacted] called me and expressed his concern that we damaged a wheel and scuffed a bumper on his vehicle. I asked him why he had not seen any damage while doing his walk around when he picked up his vehicle. He said the car was too dirty.
I asked that he come back by the dealership so that I could see the alleged damage. He told me he would not be able to make it back here until Monday 11/2/15.
He never came in on Monday, 11/2/15 for us to look at the alleged damage.

We came to a resolution to this matter on 3/3/2018. The customer and their legal counsel agreed to accept a cash settlement and the car that they were originally contracted.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. But how do I know what company, because the last one came directly from there company on the 7/17/2017. Request that they do not run my Ss# again without my permission.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Ms. [redacted] came in without an appointment and unfortunately wound up with an inexperienced advisor.
The advisor (Mr....

[redacted] did not clearly communicate what was going on, or keep in good contact with either [redacted] or [redacted] and I have both spoken with [redacted] and offered an oil change package or whatever would be necessary to make this right for this customer. Mr. [redacted] has been dealt with, and is no longer employed here.
We truly value your business and service to our country, and hope that you will return.

This customer had an extremely unusual configuration on his truck that made it a very low demand vehicle. Every vehicle stands on it's own, the mailer specifically states that condition, mileage and equipment can affect the value of the vehicle. It also specifically states that the estimate is for...

informational purposes only and is not an offer to buy and that not all vehicles will qualify.

Our Finance Director, [redacted], spoke to the customer and better explained the benefits of the Chrysler card and apologized for the previous confusion. The customer stated that this was sufficient.
