Bill Sperformed an excellent job on my A/C unit within an hour I received a same day service from the company The technician was professional and courteous He immediately went to the source of the failure after a brief explanation of my unit's problem, and had all the necessary parts on hand to repair my A/C unit He also informed me of their preventive maintenance plans designed to keep my unit operational throughout the year Both the customer service representative and the technician provided friendly, quality service

Joseph was very professional and courteous young man he checked out all the systems and was very thorough I would recommend him for other customers and the company that he works for it was a pleasure having him over here

I had a unit installed by Southern Goodman in July that I payed over full price for (i found out later they were priced $*** - *** higher that the competition)I then spent the next months without a fully functioning unit costing me fold in my electrical bill for winter heatSouthern Goodman only offered a new unit as an option at an additional $***I later found that they had wired my summer install wrong and I had no problem with my unit beyond their incompetent installCurrently, Southern Goodman will not return my calls and I am not certain they didn't intentionally wire my install wrong to allow further salesBe warned of there up-selling and incompetent installation team

I have always received excellent service from Southern Goodman Mechanical on my home and my investment propertyThey are professional, punctual, efficient and clean Our technician was excellent and inspected both properties in the same day I would recommend their service and the maintenance plans to anyone

Southern Goodman told me the evaporator coil they replaced was out of warranty I have now contacted the distributor and had the warranty extended based on the likely fail date However, Southern Goodman will not reveal the price for the part, so I do not know how much my refund should be This seems to be a dishonest business practice

southern goodman installed an a/c unit in our attic on 7/12/16; after two days, It was not running any morethey came
back and said it something to do with the coil; fixed that then few days later the unit overflowed and water leaked down thru
the walls and thru the ceiling two floors down in the den they came back again and said the 'automatic cut off'
was not installed properlyceiling and flooring have to be replaced the person representing the company said he
did not want to use his insurance and would be sending people he knew to repair damagewe called many times
but our calls were not returned and no one from the company came back,so we had to call our insurance company to get repairs for the damage that southerngoodman had inflicted on our homethe total for the
a/c and installation was $7.219.00; we think that we should only be charged for the a/c unit and not for the
workmanship since it was not done correctly and caused all this messour complaints ha

We are a long time customer of this company On 9/14/we paid $*** for a one year service agreement called Platinum Membership, a preventative maintenance planThis was a direct result of a leak being found in our systemAt that time we also paid for a leak test and lbs of R We received a call from this company in February to set up a Cheand were told this was part of the membershipOn March 3rd a technician came to do his inspection on both systems in our houseHe spent about minutes and told us that "everything looked good" and then leftHe didn't leave us any paperwork or reportThen on April 14th we called them because our upstairs system was not blowing cool air, like it should beThis tech told us that we probably had a leak and that the only way for him to find the leak was to charge the system by adding 6lbs of Rand charge us $***The tech that performed the check up on March 3rd should have seen that our system was low on Rwith a pressure t

Eric was capable, thorough and polite Found the problem, fixed it and thoroughly tested the system to insure everything was working as intended

A Goodman Southern service man was at our house today and installed the increased emergency heating described in the referenced complaintI consider the complaint to be resolved

Please accept this letter as a response to your
letter dated 9/15/regarding case number for *** ***.Southern Goodman Mechanical, Incinstalled a new
HVAC system for Mr*** on 7/12/in his attic. We received a call from Mr*** on
7/17/stating that
there was water damage to his house caused by our
system. We sent out our contractor, *** *** ***, on 7/18/with instructions to assess the damage and make
repairs to *** *** satisfaction. We
received the following response from *** *** ***:“July 18,
9:PM, investigating water damage to the first floor family room ceiling area
located on the left side
as you enter the homeViewing ceil notice a x water spot area which appear
to have water still
trapped inside ceilingPunched a hole in ceiling to allow the water to drain
out so I can view the inside of
the second floor subflooringRemoved a x 2' area in the ceiling to view for
water damage, did not
notice any wet spots on the subflooring undercarriage or any water damage to
the subfloor
Joyce's water appear to be coming from a different locationArea appeared to
have dried overtime due to
the colorationThe area appear to have been a previously leak that went
unnoticed. Entered the
second floor two bedrooms and noticed that the floors were completely dry,
there was no damage to the
floor, it was also no damage to the ceilingThe AC unit is located over the
first bedroom at the top of
the stairs on the left sideThe AC unit overflowed water in the attic area
Insulation was wet but not
much, the ceiling was dry it was not enough water to penetrate the second floor
ceilingThe center wall
that divides the two rooms was completely dry, the walls are not damaged or
wet, for water to make it down
to the first floor ceiling the water had to penetrate the second floor ceiling
and the second floor
sub flooringFrom my investigation there is no indication that the AC unit
caused the leak to the ceiling
on the first floor.”We
hire very qualified employees who take pride in their work, however, we are all
human and do at times make mistakes.
When this happens, we as a company “ALWAYS” correct our employee’s
mistakes. After careful consideration
and an outside home improvement analysis, we do not feel our actions caused Mr
Pecht’s damage. We have relayed this information
to MrPecht, and he filed a claim with his homeowners insurance. With that being said,
Southern Goodman Mechanical, Inc acknowledges *** *** claim regarding the
air handler switch and we are willing to come to an agreeable resolution for
all parties involved.If you have any further

Our tech, Brandon H., was wonderful to work with and a technician that was obviously customer oriented and fully knowledgeable about the system we had installed by *** *** Brandon was polite, personable, and went the extra mile to thoroughly handle our quarterly service visit - verifying that all areas/aspects that needed to be covered to ensure our system was functioning correctly Brandon is a definite asset to Southern Goodman and the tech we will definitely ask for on all future quarterly service visits Our rating regarding Southern Goodman as a company is driven specifically to our experience with Brandon and the service he provided

Carson came out and did an annual check on my system He was very thorough, explained what he was checking for, and then went over the results Very refreshing to have knowledgeable and friendly techs, and I would recommend him anytime you need service

Joseph B*** came to do my semi annual check of my system, He did a great job and explained everything he was doing.He also made a minor adjustment to an air scrubber that was installed on my ***, cleaned coils and filtersHe was extremely polite and professionalExcellent

Our family of * had the a/c unit stop blowing cold air on a degree summer day in ***The Southern Goodman technician came out and called me at work after he discussed the issues with my wifeApparently, the a/c unit was reaching the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced
I asked a few basic questions about how he diagnosed the issue and he answered professionally and indicated that he essentially troubleshot every possible issue and we just had to bite the bullet and replace the unit
When I asked how much for a replacement I was told around $*k for a *** and $*k for an off-brandIt was such a large investment we told him we needed to review the situation with friends and family before making a decisionWe paid the $*** diagnostic fee to come out and let us know what was wrong
A family friend was an a/c repair man (not available the day prior) who came out the next morning, placed some Freon in the unit, replaces the air filter, charged a $** servi
