Simply Outstanding first contact was with Lauren ,she was friendly and very professional and extremely helpful and went way beyond just great customer service she should be cloned and sprinkled across the globe and the technician Samson very knowledgeable and courteous...I told him don’t worry abt putting on the shoe covers to come in the house he said I need to that’s my job and he then went right to work...I couldn’t tell you what he did all I know is he did an extraordinary job doing it and he was working underneath my house on a cold and rainy day but that didn’t keep the smile of his face while be extremely professional I recommend this company and I hope you will also get the pleasure of working with Lauren and Samson.....I now have an AC and heating company that I will do business with wheneverthe need arise and will be forwarding this company to any and everyone that needs their services...thanks again Lauren and Samson

I was very impressed by Joseph Bof Southern Goodman with his outstanding service yesterday (7/2/18)He was on time, explained everything in detail, wore protection over his shoes without me even asking, closed all the doors/covers in the garage and crawl spaces afterwards, courteous and professional throughout the service callPlease pass on my thanks and appreciationstars!!!

Joe was very professional and informative about our system I would highly recommend Southern Goodman for heating and cooling maintenance.....they have always provided great service with efficient and personable employees

I have an apartment in *** I have central air and a maintenance agreement with Southern Goodman (SG) The unit was inspected in May and was cooling The technician said there were options that were much more quiet but no action was required at this time I renewed my service contract ($***) in June My permanent residence is in Chapel Hill, NC I come to Richmond once per month to attend to my father who is in assisted livingUpon arrival on Thursday September, the A/C was blowing but it was not cooling I turned off the unit and called SG I said no need to come out at 9pm, but please come first thing in the morning SG called Friday morning and said technicians were out with a stomach virus and it would be the afternoon I said to please call me when the technician was on the way and I needed minutes to get back to the apartment from my Dads They called at 11:00am and I met Wyatt S*** (SG Senior Technician) at the apartment He did not bri

Joseph B*** is terrific representative for Southern He found issues and identified multiple solutionsHe then followed up to ensure satisfaction Would highly recommend Southern because of him

Excellent service provided by Brandon He explained exactly the service his was performing on Jul, He recommended topping off my Freon to bring my HVAC system up to the efficiency level that it was designed to doAlso while Brandon was in the crawl space he notice another area of concern and brought it my attention and offer some solutions Very good service and I would give this experience stars

David C*** came to do an annual check of my system, He was on time and did a very good checkand explained everything he as doing and showed the results.He also made a minor adjustment to a pipe so that I could easily access the filter and he cleaned the filter, He was extremely polite and professional

I appreciate the job that Brandon did with installing my programmable thermostat' He was very gracious in taking the time to show me how to use it without me reading the entire book to get the instructions He was quick and very efficient and I will be calling on Southern Goodman for any service work for heat and air in the future

In SeptGoodman Southern Mechanical replaced our heat pump HVAC system which included a yr warrantyOne morning during the cold snap of Janwe awoke with the house at degwith the system working at full capacity
We requested and paid for a service visit The service man noticed immediately that the emergency heating system was undersized for the size of our house and did not match the existing wiringIt was determined that the original system had emergency heat with a KW capacity and the new system for some reason was installed with a KW capacity I was not aware of and did not authorize this reduction
I spoke to the Goodman office manager and he agreed to restore the original KW capacityGoodman has since declined to fulfill this commitmentWe are now stuck with an inadequate heating system and a worthless warranty with a company that does not honor its commitmentsAnyone considering using this company should be warned

Southern Goodman Mechanical has served my family for the past yearsThey are honest, helpful and efficientThey understand the cost of the essential item they provide and manage purchases and repairs in a sensible and transparent mannerI trust themOur last installation went well, and David Cwas exceptional in his abilities and customer service demeanor

Southern Goodman replaced our AC system years ago and upgraded to the best system for our cape codThe price was to less than competitors and included a whole house humidifierThe work was completed in one day and have had no issues sinceNovember Southern Goodman replaced our gas heater and again cheaper than competitorsThey have made two inspections and all is wellJennifer always calls and verifies date and time of appointments and makes sure there are no concerns

I purchased a brand new unit back in February and has since has to call for services a few timesOnce there was already a leak after only monthsI had to ask over times to get my paperwork for the installationFinally after being relentless I received them via emailMost recently my unit has been struggling to keep up with the set temperature and after a service call was told my filter needed to be changedShortly after a new filter was installed but no changesAfter the 3rd day I was given more BS excuses as to why my system wasn’t keeping up different ones in a single phone callFinally I was just upset and expressed that I was tired of getting BS as to which the manager of this company responded that I didn’t need to get ghetto with himUnprofessional rude and just utterly disrespectful then said he would charge me a fee if he came out again and found nothing wrongHe never even entered the attic to check for any problems but said there was none

On 6/15/I called Southern Goodman to come to my home and diagnose my air-conditioning issuesThe diagnosis was a bad condenserThey quoted me a price for a new condenser/coil/furnaceI agreed to the choice of equipment at *** The technician called his office to secure financingMy wife and I spoke to an office staff via the technicians cell phone and we were deniedThey had me write a check for the services that they had provided thus far, and they would try to secure financing through another vendorUpon approval they would return the check and I would work out the financial arrangements with the vendor once they made contact with usThe afternoon of 6/15/I e-mailed documentation to a company called *** to verify our incomeThey called to verify it was receivedI did not receive any documentation, nor did I speak to anyone during the days from 6/16/through 6/21/The morning of 6/21/at approximately 8:am, a Southern Goodman technician arrive

letter dated 9/15/2016 regarding case number 11713322 for [redacted].Southern Goodman Mechanical, Inc. installed a new
HVAC system for Mr. [redacted] on 7/12/2016 in his attic.  We received a call from Mr. [redacted] on
7/17/2016 stating that there was...

water damage to his house caused by our
system.  We sent out our contractor, [redacted], on 7/18/2016 with instructions to assess the damage and make
repairs to [redacted] satisfaction.  We
received the following response from [redacted]:“July 18, 2016
9:06 PM, investigating water damage to the first floor family room ceiling area
located on the left side
as you enter the home. Viewing ceil notice a 4 x 4 water spot area which appear
to have water still
trapped inside ceiling. Punched a hole in ceiling to allow the water to drain
out so I can view the inside of
the second floor subflooring. Removed a 2 x 2' area in the ceiling to view for
water damage, did not
notice any wet spots on the subflooring undercarriage or any water damage to
the subfloor
Joyce's water appear to be coming from a different location. Area appeared to
have dried overtime due to
the coloration. The area appear to have been a previously leak that went
unnoticed. Entered the
second floor two bedrooms and noticed that the floors were completely dry,
there was no damage to the
floor, it was also no damage to the ceiling. The AC unit is located over the
first bedroom at the top of
the stairs on the left side. The AC unit overflowed water in the attic area.
Insulation was wet but not
much, the ceiling was dry it was not enough water to penetrate the second floor
ceiling. The center wall
that divides the two rooms was completely dry, the walls are not damaged or
wet, for water to make it down
to the first floor ceiling the water had to penetrate the second floor ceiling
and the second floor
sub flooring. From my investigation there is no indication that the AC unit
caused the leak to the ceiling
on the first floor.”We
hire very qualified employees who take pride in their work, however, we are all
human and do at times make mistakes. 
When this happens, we as a company “ALWAYS” correct our employee’s
mistakes.   After careful consideration
and an outside home improvement analysis, we do not feel our actions caused Mr.
Pecht’s damage.  We have relayed this information
to Mr. Pecht, and he filed a claim with his homeowners insurance.  With that being said,
Southern Goodman Mechanical, Inc acknowledges [redacted] claim regarding the
air handler switch and we are willing to come to an agreeable resolution for
all parties involved.If you have any further
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Jennifer called from the business stated that the pricing is set by a third party so there is no break down of the cost. They cant provide that information since they do not have it. She stated that if a copy of the extended warranty is provided or if the warranty company reaches out to them with...
