This is in response to Ms*** ***’s complaint, ID-***. We apologize that Ms*** was telephoned by a sales representative, who is employed by one of our outsourced telemarketing firms
I telephoned Ms*** and apologized for the negative experience she had with Sperian Energy.
The sales representative who telephoned Ms*** is a new employee and unfortunately veered off of Sperian’s approved sales script. Our outsourced telemarketing firm has given this sales representative a warning and she is going through retraining. I will also be monitoring her performance for the next two weeks to ensure that she is adhering to the approved sales script
We have very strict policies in place to ensure that customers who are on the Federal Do Not Call registries are not solicited. I can assure you that Ms***’s telephone number was not on any approved soliciting calling list and has been placed on our internal DNC list. Ms*** will not be contacted by Sperian Energy again
Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to Ms***

PS: I was told I should receive the check for $ by yesterday [8/or today, 8/8] and so far it is not here Also, I have yet to receive the letter explaining this error that was supposedly sent on July Things are promised, but not fulfilled
I request that this matter remain open until fully rectified, and in this regard, I will stay in touch with the Revdex.com of San Diego until all is completed.

Are Sperian Energy and NRG Solar connected in any way. I noticed on my current JCP&L utility bill that Sperian is now my supplier, which I did not authorize. When I called Sperian Energy to confront, I told them to prove that I had accepted them to be my supplier. Sperian called me back the next day but my caller ID identified the call as NRG Solar. When I told them this, Sperian denied and said the "wires must be crossed". I spoke with a supervisor who agreed to call me back and again it came up as NRG Solar, but when I said this, they hung up. When I tried to call back the number, it stated "this number is no longer in service". Sounds very fishy to me. So I then I decided to investigate and find that the Paul Keene, CEO of Sperian Energy was once the General Manager of NRG Northeast. Coincidence? I don't think so. It seems as though Sperian is posing as NRG Solar. And since I have NRG Solar Panels on my home, I was under the impression I was speaking with NRG not Sperian when they claim I agreed to have them as my supplier, unbeknownst to me. They never identified themselves as Sperian Energy. I have unknowingly already paid them $380. This is the first time I have noticed them on my JCP&L Bill. This cannot be legal. Has anyone else had this happen?

On October 21, 2015, Mrs

enrollment was processed on November 4, after the [redacted]'s had been
sent the Sperian Energy welcome letter explaining the rate and terms and
conditions of the agreed upon contractService commenced with Sperian Energy
on November 4,
Sperian Energy has no
record of Mror Mrs[redacted] contacting Sperian Energy regarding their bill
until January 20, Mr[redacted] requested his account be cancelled and
his service return to [redacted] PowerThe cancellation was completed and the
utility also processed the cancellation on January 20, Mr[redacted]'s
service was with Sperian Energy from November 4, to January 20, and
the total amount of electricity consumed by Mr[redacted] was kWh which
totaled $in Energy Supply Charges
Sperian Energy did not
charge Mr[redacted] and his account was validly billed at the agreed upon
rateNo refunds are warranted and Sperian Energy suggests Mr[redacted] speak
to [redacted] Power regarding the amount of his bill
It is Sperian Energy's
goal to maintain an exceptional level of customer service and we regret anything that may have been considered unsatisfactory

This is a response to a complaint filed by Consumer ID, [redacted]
The consumer was contacted by one of our external call centers on 4/10/
The call did not result in an actual sale and no enrollment actually took
place. I spoke with the
Consumer and
personally apologized for the experience she had with our company.
I have confirmed the Consumer's contact information has
been registered on the National Do Not Call List since, May and her phone
number should have never been included in the Sperian Energy campaign Effective immediately, Consumer ID, [redacted]
contact information has been completely removed from all dialer systemsI
provided my direct contact information to the consumer and told her she can
contact me directly if she receives any additional phone calls or if she has
any questions. The consumer was satisfied
and thankful for my call

Sperian called my home and talked to my wife and lied to her about the superior rate they would provide. My wife said she would talk to me about it. I said no and my wife called Sperian back to let them know. They however without permission, and nothing in writing switched our account and immediately switched to a higher cost per month costing me over $100/month in extra charges.

font-family: Cambria, serif;"> was mistakenly telephoned by one of our outsourced telemarketing firms, Alliance Marketing.  We have very strict policies in place to ensure that customers who are on the National and Pennsylvania Do Not Call registry are not solicited.  Unfortunately, we were informed after the fact that there was a system error that occurred with our outsourced telemarketing firm resulting in his number being dialed.  I can assure you that Mr. [redacted]’s telephone number was not on any approved soliciting calling list and is on our internal DNC list.  He will not be contacted by Sperian Energy again.

I received a phone call two days in a row from a sales representative whom indicated that their records showed I have an active account with the local utility provider. My electric utility is included in my rent, which my landlord pays for. When I told the representative this, she asked for my landlord's contact information. I asked the representative whom her company was three times over the course of the phone call, and she eventually told me it was Sperian. They did not get my number from the local utility because I do not have an account with them. When I told them this and asked again where they got my number, she would not answer. My phone number is on the do not call list, which I feel that this company is ignoring.

However, I am skeptical that the representative who contacted me "veered off of Sperian's approved script". I have read other complaints filed against this company, and there were complaints exactly like mine, dating back to April 2013,  which leads me to believe that Sperian is in fact instructing its representatives (outsourced or not) to market their products precisely in this way. I urge the company to reconsider its aggressive and deceptive marketing tactics, and adopt a more transparent and fair approach.

information and offered to play back the sales call for him if he'd like to hear the interaction.  Upon our internal review and investigation, there were no lies or incorrect savings quoted to Mr. [redacted].   The response also provided some public documentation on MetEd's rate filings of rate changes that will go into effect 3/1/2015 as the sales rep indicated.   He has not yet contacted Sperian back, but can do so at a time that's convenient for him.   I wanted to provide a response back to the Revdex.com to update the complaint that a response has been initiated.
