We are currently working with this company which I am now convinced is a scam. Lannie has led my sister on for the past 2 years that her time share was sold. My sister has recently passed away and I am now working with Lannie. I have gotten the same message for her every time I have spoken with her, I do believe she is reading from a script. I question the creditability and do not believe that our time share is sold as she says it is.

In regards to that complaintI spoke to lee and sent her the charge back information [redacted] had charged back the amount with her credit card and we never were paid by this consumerSo the funds that are in question we do not have do to the charge backThis means that when [redacted] signed up with us she authorized the charge and signed the paperwork but, a few months later called her credit card and got her money back through themOn our contract we do make it clear that there are no refunds after daysWe did a lot of work for [redacted] and we never got paid for the servicesThank you! Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below COMPLAINT # [redacted] Replying to 3/3/ According to [redacted] we were to give her $to reserve the condo for a prospective buyer for staying there one week I told her that was too much, she said that's what we get After a few months I asked [redacted] if they were going to take the unit and she said she had not heard from them, so I asked for the $be credited to the charge card, and she said yes, but it would take a couple months to do it After months I asked why we had not gotten the credit as it was after months, she said she would have to check with her employer After another month I called again and she said her boss was busy, but she would checkFinally called her that I was going to check with the Revdex.com and she said OK All we are asking for is the $which was a deposit on the unit and furthermore we have no desire to do any further business with this company A deposit is not a rental agreement We never asked to rent, it was [redacted] that asked to rent to a prospective client There was nothing agreed to about "NO REFUNDS", that was for the original contract All this company is doing is stealing the $ We also want a statement that they are destroying our Credit Card number from their file AFTER THEY CREDIT THE $ [redacted] 3/4/

While it is true they explained the timeframe, this company does not respond to emails as they stateI find it peculiar that ONLY AFTER I filled this complaint, they started calling me on a regular basisThey called again just yesterday and tried to explain some of their marketing gimmicksThey told me to look at their web site again and look at campaignsThe last I see is some ** *** ** *** *** from 2013, guess it was a surfing completion, those are not potential time share buyers, they are surfersAlso they mentioned a TV ad on *** ***Being a sports addict, and a frequent watcher of *** ***, you would think I would have seen their ad at least once, never have I ever seen itThe list goes on, in my opinion all outright lies and deceptionI spoke with this *** yesterday who continued to lie to me about how her company responds to emails, yet they have never done any of the things I have asked in my emailsI told her if she continued to tell me lies, I was going to hang upThe lies continued and I said good byShe returned the call again and left a message with more liesAgain, I find it very strange that only AFTER I filled this complaint that the calls started coming from SpotlightI told them they are a scam and I believe they truly are

I just received your emailWhen we get a charge back we lose the money and the bank takes it backThey took the money back from us through the merchant accountWe are charged an additional fee every time a charge back comes in. And by the way,Her bank never reached out to usHer bank charged back the amount and therefore takes the money away from our merchantThis is why I sent that copy of the charge back that took placeThe bank at this point puts it back into her accountWe do not do thatIt is the bank that take the money and applies it back to herNot us because we have a merchant account that we use to charge the credit cardsShe signed our contract agreeing to our terms and conditionsOn this contract that she signed it explains that there are no refunds after daysWe spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on all of the things we doTv, radio, and events to get people to buy,rent sell and tradeWe can not determine when the timeshare will sell or by whom but, we work on everyone of them until we find that buyer etcSo, I think she wanted it sold in monthsHowever, we can not guarantee a buyer or renter in any certain time frame because we do not have a crystal ball. We do put this in writing on the contract, " It can take to months or longer to sell." So we put out the money for tv commercials and so on and this is why we are a membership company that allows it's members to sell, rent, trade, buyOur fees are very low and we can not refund everyone just because a timeshare is not sold or rentedWe provide a real service that really does workWe bring buyers and sellers together and no one pays for marketing or advertisingWe pay! So when people don't read the contract before they sign the contract and take matters into there own hands and change there mind or decide not to continue with us, is there own decisionThere are no refunds after the business daysBut, we can not do what we do if just after a month or two they decide to change there mind. But, we already put out the money to do all the things that we do and we could not provide a service if we had no chargesIn other words, When you sign up with us, we give you days to cancelWe pay for the tv commercials, radio, and the events, the flyers for the events and so on and start to market the timeshare propertyWhen we get a charge back on a member, we lose a lot more money than the fee we charge because now we do not have the ability to make our money when the property sellsSo, we worked on it for several months for free and have nothing for itTimeshares are very expensive to market and we are very good at what we doWe are the only company that has been approved to be on tv networks nationwide and all It's very very expensiveI am sorry she wanted to cancel but, we do not have her money. ***

. I never became abusive, *** told me she had someone to rent my time share. I really just wanted to sell my time share but decided to rent it since she said they would use a week not my week from the resort and get me $1300. I would never had agreed to rent it and pay $after paying $for their service to sell it if they didnt have someone to rent itAnd the only time they contacted me was when I left them a message. I asked *** why doesnt she update me once a once on the status. How many people do they have interested in my timeshare? How many have they sold in the last month? Simple questions that any sales person would know. She just said we have lots of people, people are hard to get to commit, there is bad press about time shares. She never ever mentioned this when signing up. She made it sound so easy. I dropped my asking price from $12,to $then again to $which is the lowest I found by far. I told her she should easily be able to sell it at this price and I was going to be negotiable at that price as well. It should be easy to get person with all the advertisement they do to purchase my place. I left *** alone for months to sell it and yes I was frustrated but she used the same excuses and even hung up on my last time. I never used abusive language, that is a flat out lie. I told her I wanted my money back for her not renting my place out like she promised and then I said I will file a complaint with CA Attorney general and Revdex.com if not. She promised it was going to be rented. Ask her why it has not been rented? She will make something up but that was not what she said she had someone ready to rent it when I agreed to sign up. I am not one to get abusiveI am a licensed Insurance Producer in the State of WA and also a staff member/volunteer at my local church. I would with Seniors on a daily basis. Also she should have a recording of all the calls if they are a good company and a call center, have her send you the recordings of my call. I just got frustrated with her talking the whole time making excuses. That is when I told her to drop the price and I need a refund for the payment for not renting my place like promised. If I was the only person to complain about this company it would be one thing. I noticed many more are starting to experience bad service and are also now filing complaints. All I want is my money back for services not provided and move on from this company. Last time a chatted with *** I wanted to speak to her manager and she said she was the manager. I emailed them again a couple days ago with no call back or email. I am also going to follow up with a complaint I also sent to the attorney generals office of CA.

Dear ***, I am sending you a response to the complaint that I discussed with youOn 1/20/*** *** called us in regards to his timeshare that he wanted to sellHe saw our tv commercial and was at that time, very excited to get ride of his timeshareWe went over all of our terms and
conditions with him and we explained what we do to help folks that need help in selling or renting there timesharesWe sent him the paperwork to sign and return to us authorizing the charges and for us to get to work on the marketing and advertisingWe started on it right awayHe also wanted to rent the timeshare out of which we also started working on as well. Mr*** was updated on 2/1/17, 2/14/17, 3/8/and on 3/16/the treats from him beganHe became very hard to deal with as we would get threatening remarks from him saying he better have it sold by next month or that it better be rented by next month and so onWe explained that it does take time and we are working on itHe continued to be rude to our secretary when he would call in and would blow up the phones demanding to talk to his representativeOn 6/2/We tried to explain that it takes time for these to sell and he needs to be patientSeems that no matter what we went over with him, he wasn't happyThat we should have had this done for him right away and that"s when the language started and the horrible statements.On 9/6/we contacted him to update him again on the progressBefore we could get a word out he started in with his bad attitude saying things, that are inappropriate to say to another personIt was just horrible things! That he was going to report us to the attorney general and the Revdex.com and destroy our company! As this conversation continued for or so minutes, we explained that we can't keep taking this abuse and that he should be happy that someone is really trying to help himThat he should be thankful we are doing everything we can for himTV,Radio, And eventsTried to get him to understand the amount of effort that was put into this for himHe still was not satisfied and threatened that he was going to destroy us by contacting the attorney general and Revdex.comWe have tried to talk with him but, to no availThe abusive language and the threats are uncalled forWe provide a real service that no one else providesThreatening us to get money back that he paid us to be a member and for us to be able to do all these things we have done for him is not rightWe have been working on this for him for monthsYou don't just turn around and use threats to get monies back for a service that has already and is being providedThat is just not fair to use the threats to get money back after all we have already doneWE don't appreciate the complaint as it is not true and he knows itSometimes people think that they can get there way, if they say things that are not truthfulWe ask the Revdex.com to consider this response to this complaint and find this complaint invalidThere was no reason for us to take all this abuse from Mr***.Thank you! ***, Spotlight Resorts sales manager
