for you.  Unfortunately, we can’t make
people go on set dates to go.  We have to
work with their schedules and send folks out when they want to go.  Sometimes people drag their feet and try to
push them to make up their mind, we sometimes must be patient.  We are continuing to work on this for you however;
we did explain to you that it’s completely up to you to make it available for
rent.
As soon as we have the dates we
will be contacting you.  Right now we
have been dealing with very bad weather issues and several of our folks have
pushed us out because traveling right now has become impossible for some folks.
Flights are being cancelled and folks prefer to wait till things are a little
better. We apologize for the wait and we will keep working on it for you.  Again, there are No refunds after 7 days.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.This is NOT true that I got my money back. I called my bank to ask for a refund of services because they were not doing what they said they would in the contract. The bank reached out to [redacted] and spoke with her to see if they would refund my money because my bank said that it was out of their time frame for them to do a bank refund so they reached out to [redacted] to resolve this situation. [redacted] was not going to give me my refund and this is why I reached out to Revdex.com to see if you can help. [redacted] had NOT been working on my time share and this is a false statement from her. She did get paid the full amount and her company and/or my back never refunded money to me.

Mrs. [redacted] has been with us only 6 months; we have explained that timeshares do not sell overnight and it can take up to 8 months or longer to sell, it's explained on the contract that she...

signed. Also, we do not ever call people and say we have buyers ready to go! Those are companies that call folks and lie to them. We will contact our clients if we have someone interested. Again this statement is untrue! We have contacted her on 3/12/14, 3/19/14, 3/25/14, 4/10/14, 6/6/14 and 9/19/14, we have been very good about contacting our member. Our company is trying to make a difference in the industry and do what needs to be done to help people find buyers. We are launching a nationwide campaign on 10/10/2014 and will be on FOX, NBC, Travel, Cooking, Golf, Destination America, and TLC networks. As well as worldwide via internet and social media. We are the only company that does this, we feel that this is not only wrong for her to say such things but have tried to contact her several times to discuss this and have had no return calls from her. We can take her off the market or we can continue to market the timeshare. Our contract is a binding agreement between both parties, there are no refunds after 7 days. We have done everything per our agreement and much more to help her.

I am sending you the reply to the email on complaint # [redacted]. Just wanted to say that it is really hard to deal with these situations when people use the Revdex.com against companies to get money back money that they paid for services that have been provided. So here is the response to this complaint. Mr. [redacted], You became a member with Spotlight Resorts because you wanted help with your timeshare. We provide a real service for people that are looking to sell,rent trade there timeshares. We are the only company that is on  tv and radio and does live events. That is why we post these on our website. These services that we provide are real and expensive. But, Our job is to do this and market, advertise for it's members. We have provided the services and you signed a contract agreeing to all of our terms and conditions. We never said that we would have it sold at any specific time frame. But, that we would work on it till you have a buyer/renter. You have threatened us asking for your money back or you will go to the Revdex.com. Who does that? You paid to become a member and have us do the marketing and advertising. I have never seen anyone put an add in the newspaper, for example, and if there property didn't sell, go back to the newspaper and ask for money back after they have done there job? This is what you are doing and it isn't fair. We can not determine who or when a timeshare will sell but, we keep running the tv commercials and radio and go to all the events to help you find someone that wants your timeshare. All we wanted to do was change the industry and really do what is needed for folks so they can find someone to buy it. There are so many companies that say they do what we do and we know they do not. This is why Spotlight  Resorts was started. We wanted to provide a real service and help folks. I am sorry but, there are no refunds as we have provided the services you asked for and we can continue to do so. We want to help everyone find success and we work very hard to do so. We can continue to work on this for you if you like. Please understand that a lot of things you have said are very untrue and you may have said those things out of frustration. Some of the information  They stated is not accurate. I was told by [redacted] that she had a few couples she was meeting with about my timeshare. I spoke to [redacted] about a refund and she asked me if another timeshare company called me.I said no. So, she told me not to worry. Then she said, she would be out of town and would contact me later. I can not recall, but I do not remember getting those calls. I have no more to add to this complaint. Just dissapointed. This is the same story I got from [redacted] last year and  from [redacted] this year ...In the response from spotlight you can see the dates that they spoke with me I can say that the dates 8/14 /14- 8/26 /14 was not to update me be to get me allow them to rent my unit.the. Other dates I don't recall every getting a call from them ,and as per those dates you can see that I got no updates for a lest one year. I think I have been very patient . I still would like a call back from spotlight with a realistic update on my timeshare,and if they can't rent it I want a refund on that portion.

In regards to that complaint. I spoke to lee and sent her the charge back information. [redacted] had charged back the amount with her credit card and we never were paid by this consumer. So the funds that are in question we do not have do to the charge back. This means that when [redacted] signed up with us...

she authorized the charge and signed the paperwork but, a few months later called her credit card and got her money back through them. On our contract we do make it clear that there are no refunds after 7 days. We did a lot of work for [redacted] and we never got paid for the services. Thank you! [redacted], Spotlight Resorts

No one is calling anyone a liar, that's not right. We simply explained that we have updated you on the progress of the sale. This is not something you determine that after a year, if the timeshare hasn't sold yet, you get your money back. We have been marketing for you through TV, radio, and events! It is not our fault that you haven't sold it yet. But as we stated on the contract, and explained to you and all members, we don not know or guarantee a buyer at any specific time frame. This is why we continue to market until you have a buyer. We do our part and don't know when it's going to be sold. However, we are the only company that does what we do here so the probability is much greater with us because of our aggressive marketing all across the nation. Again, no refunds just because it's been a year! We will continue to market and advertise until it is done.

We are in the process of contacting our client to discuss the issue. We want to resolve this ASAP and will be very passionate in helping our members in every way! We will be in touch.

Never sold, rented or traded anything for $396. What a waste. I would have felt better flushing that money down my toilet!

would be quick, on our contract it explains it can take 2-8 months or longer, we
never tell our members a specific time frame. Also, we keep record of all updates;
he was updated with...

status of his property on 07/28, 08/14, 08/26, 10/01 and 06/27.
We do let our members know that during peak season it can take a little time to
get back to folks with updates because we are so busy with all the events, we
always get back to our members.  He did
call for an update in September and his file was placed on the associates desk
to call back at just about the time this complaint came in, the associate was
about to call back.  Mr. [redacted] needs
to be patient as we are extremely busy this time of year.
We do tell
our members if they have any questions, concerns or just need an update they
can call us at any time. If we have something we always call to see what our
members want to do.  Also, [redacted] had a
couple that was interested in seeing the timeshare before considering buying,
she asked him what he wanted to do so he made it available for rent.  In her notes she states that the couple was a
bit difficult and wasn’t giving her a time they could go. She kept on it and
finally had to let it go and work on the putting someone else in the rental.
She had another
couple she was working with but they flaked on her too. People are not like
they were years ago.  This is what we
deal with all the time and isn’t our fault that people ask to do something and don’t
follow through. But we are still working on it and will continue to till done.
It’s so disturbing when a complaint comes in that isn’t true. If only people
see how hard we work 7 days a week. We apologize but there are no refunds after
7 days as stated on our contract he signed. 
We can’t just get the money back or all that has been paid out to get
the work done. You paid for service and we have put a lot into this.
We’ve done
the 4th of July event, U.S open of Surfing, County Fair, Laguna

Mrs. [redacted] was contacted reguarding this complaint. When we spoke to her, she had said that the reason for complaining was because the last time she called she didn't remember a call but was emailed the next day with the update. She realized that and wasn't complaining about her representative, but...

decided to complain because it was emailed and not a call. We told her our records showed 8 updates and a couple interested. When speaking with her representative just a few days ago, she had said that he always called her back and was not complaint about him. Okay, why the complaint? There was no wrong doing. Do we make false statements because we feel like it? We always update our members and we do so much to help them. We are the only company that does events, T.V. and radio. How have we failed to perform? We do everything for our members and work very hard on their behalf. It's not our fault her timeshare has not sold, it can take 2-8 months or longer for a buyer and we've explained that to her. She acknowledged this so where is the problem? Lack of service, what do you mean? Have you looked at the website to see all that we are doing for our members? T.V., radio and events! It's not true that when you call we have a buyer. If someone was interested we would have notified her. We've explained to everyone, if you have not heard from us, please give us a call for an update. When we have something we will always call you. We don't like it when things are said that are not true. Best thing to do is to express where your feelings are with us first. We can provide proof of everything we've been doing, that's why we post all of it on our website. We also have campaigns coming up too.

Good Afternoon,  We have tried to get the resort fee back but the resort has already allocated the week to us and we are still working with our renter to get them out.  Weather, has been a big issue for a lot of our clients. We may have dates in May and your associate will be in touch with you as soon as we confirm with them. I’m so sorry it’s taken longer than expected, but sometimes people are difficult to deal with and it becomes very frustrating for us.  Again we apologize.  We do not hold on to credit cards the merchants keeps it in there file. [redacted] was contacted each time he sent an e-mail to us. I tried to explain to him our process when we receive an e-mail from our members. We have our office manager print out the e-mail and give it to the associate. Once they have it they will call the member back and discuss all updates with them. Associates do not have access to our e-mail page for security reasons.
 
We did try to reach him several times after the complaint was filed. Finally after 3 attempts we were able to reach him. We began to explain how our process works and before we could get a word out, he was rude, wouldn't listen and just hung up on us.We called back to try to talk with him but he never answered. We left him a message and told him to check out the website with everything there for him to see. He then responded to the Revdex.com by e-mail. When we received it, we where shocked. He responded by saying horrible things about our company; that it's all gimmicks etc. and that we lie lie lie! Why would we lie about what we do? This is why it's on our website for folks to see everything we do! Our TV commercial is on [redacted] west Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday of every week. I don't think he gets [redacted] west in [redacted] Our radio commercial is will [redacted] talk show that plays in 250 different radio stations across the United States. Our [redacted] commercial will be at random times throughout the entire week. We go to events all around Southern California. We put the [redacted] on our website because it's an event we do every year, it's local here in [redacted] and we support our city by attending, it's a great time for us! There are no refunds after 7 days. We have a binding contract with him.
 
[redacted] is way out of line and has no right to say what he has said in the e-mail with the Revdex.com. This is a good company and the only company that does what we do! No other company does events, TV or radio to help. It's sad that he has to say such awful things. The owner of this company wanted to really make a difference in the industry! We want to really help people get the marketing and advertising they deserve. Most companies do nothing. We want to really help people.
 
It's not nice to say such things when we work so hard and spend thousands and thousands of dollars on our members. It's very expensive to do all this! [redacted] is the one that's not telling the truth. The reason this company was started was because it was important that someone do what's needed to help people sell their timeshares; that there is someone out there that's honest and really cares!
 
We have addressed all the issues, there is no refund due.

In regards to Mr. [redacted]'s request via the Revdex.com, Spotlight Resorts is trying to get a hold of him to talk to him about the complain and wants to settle this current problem. We are requesting a...

call from him to resolve this issue. We are very sorry he is unhappy with our program and have explained to him previously that we had to have his paperwork in order to complete our part of the agreement. Since it took so long for him to get the paperwork back we were not able to complete the rental. We have an associate that calls for the paperwork reminding our members to send it in. We tried to contact him and finally after several calls and e-mails we received it months later. In order for us to resolve this issue we must receive a this issue we must receive a call from him within 10 days of this request. Please contact [redacted] at [redacted]. We want to help!

Well we keep track of every phone call and we don't make anything up. We must remember what was said and sometimes over time we begin to change in our minds, what was said to us originally. We do meet with people at these events but sometimes things don't work out the way we would like them to. However we are very aggressive in our marketing and we try very hard to help everyone find buyers as there are no companies out there that do what we do here. We really want to change the industry and honor every contract as a binding agreement. This contract is important and must be considered as such. We continue to work on every timeshare until the client is satisfied! We do hope you understand it sometimes takes time to find buyers. 
We are sorry but there are no refunds after 7 days. We have a contract to honor.
