They literally lost payments and tried to offer a $credit to make up for it after they said they didn't know what had happened to the paymentsTheir customer service department often never responds to inquiries and when they do they're entirely unhelpful

I have been in communication with the said company Square, I have followed the procedure to have the money refunded back to my vendor, I am awaiting conformation from my vendor saying the funds have been returned fullyI would say that said company Square dose not have any working phone numbers and to which a company that deals with finances should have a call center to answer and direct callsAs to this company Terminating my account even after I Sent the every piece of paper work they requested is a little alarmingI would just wonder how much money Square holds for what ever reason, and what is done with that money while its being held and who supervises this action of money being held

I made a purchase from a retailer using Square My receipt was emailed to an incorrect email address My Visa Credit card company tells me the email address is supplied by Sqare so I have been trying to contact square to correct the email address they have on file I have not been able to find a phone number that a non member of square can use to get this corrected It is very frustrating when all human interaction is eliminated as this company has done

If you are a business that sells products, stay away from SquareThis company has poor service, and even worse business ethicsThere are thousands of negative reviews that this company deserves
If you sell a product, and a customer files a dispute months later for whatever reason, Square will automatically debit your bank account, and give the money back to the customer! Here's the kicker - Square doesn't even request that the customer return the product, and then the refund will be givenThe customer will automatically get their money back and keep the product! Square offers zero protectionThey don't want to help their "paying customers" that pay their billsThey don't want to deal with it, so that's why they auto refund buyers for liability reasons such as lawsuitsSquare allowed FRAUD to happen to me different timesSquare fails on all aspect to return any emails regarding any of my FRAUD casesThey all read the same script for liability reasons like lawsuitsIt's not about the moneyThe lawsuits should be about their employees losing their jobs for failure to do their jobs Jobless for months has more of an effect than Square giving you back your money, that they stole from youThis place is HORID

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Square gave me absolutely NO reason for denying my transactions and canceling my service. They approved in writing my bank account and said that I was good to start charging my customer's credit cards for products that the customers had purchased from me. They even called some of my customers to verify the purchases. Immediately after I charged several customer's invoices on *** *** *** totaling $*** the closed my account and would not release my funds or give me a reason for refusing my businessI tried desperately to contact them. They did not answer emails that I sent through their online systemThey require a business code to contact someone by phone but they had cancelled my codeThey were totally unresponsive until *** *** *** when I got an email stating that they would credit my bank account with $*** and that the funds would be available in a day or two. I say that this is a fraudulent scheme We are a small business and needed these funds. $*** is entirely too much for "processing". I immediately went to *** ** *** and was accepted and have been charging my customer's credit cards without ANY problems.

Any business that does not provide a telephone number or customer service telephone number should be very questionableI used a card to pay a merchantMy cel phone received a text with a link stating that I may see my receipt upon following the linkHowever, I do not own a cel phone with internet capabilities so I wrote down the link and went onto a computer and attempted to see my receiptThe link brought me to an empty page, so I took out anything in the link beyond the (dot) com and was brought to their siteIn order to view the receipt, I had to be a merchant with service with this company and request a code to view receiptWhat a crock! In other words, the customer and not the merchant has no supportIn my case I wanted to contact them to dispute a transactionGood luck, they have no telephone number! I found an email and sent inquiryThe response I got asked me for too much personal info such as my DOB, credit card numbers and address

they put a hold on my money
they requested to verify my account and send doc
I took the time took me minutes to make sure everything and send it
and then they deactivate my account and there no phone number to reach them and no response back by email
and they keep my money they do not release the founds in to my bank account
be aware of this company I read a lot of reviews and alot of people complaining the same issue

The only way I will accept this resolution is if in fact Square deposits the funds in the account on NOVEMBER 9, 2015! Due to the fact there is no way for "deactivated" customers to contact square to confirm I still feel obligated to keep the complaint open until we have received our funds

The company has refunded my client since I submitted the complaint!

This company's customer service is lousy! I've been on the phone and online now for more than minutes, trying to figure out the status of my accountThe automated phone lines hang up on you (times, so far), and half the pages on its website don't work

Square has all of a sudden held $45,of my charities' moneyThey had us fill out a bunch of paperwork and then said we needed more paperworkthen they said it looked good but that it would still have to go to another person for review and then they said it would probably be an additional 2-days before they would release the money

I had only heard good things about using Square so I thought I would try it I work for myself welding and fabricating metal I had a big job and they wanted to pay with credit card So I set up my account and thought everything was good It wasn't until I went to get paid that I had issues with SquareFirst, the said they needed more information before they could release the funds to my account They wanted my social security number along with other things that we not necessarySecondly, they denied my claim and said they would not be releasing my funds Remember that I had already been paid and left the job sight and had money coming out of my account to pay for the material for the job So I tried contacting themThe costumer service was I had to leave my number and they would call me back After hours, I would get a return call Instead of trying to help me, they would read the same thing over and over again They did not help rectify the situationAfter four days, and multiple times calling the costumer service, they denied releasing the funds at all and said I would have to give the consumer a refund and find a different way to get my money This means for four days they were making money off the interest on holding my moneyOverall, I have been very discouraged with the experience, the costumer service and anything to do with them I am writing this so that others would be aware If anyone works for themselves and deal with large sums of money, please be aware that you cannot collect through SquareI could not find information on the square app that would of told me about this prior toIf so, I would of proceeded differently

I was new to merchant accounts and had heard how easy Square was to set up and useTotally NOT the caseTheir customer service is non-existentThere is no phone number if you don't already have an approved account and they don't respond to emailI had all sorts of questions but because there was no one to speak to I tried anywayThe account was "deactivated" before it was even active and there was no reason given nor a way to see if it was something I inputted incorrectlyThey wasted hours of my timeAfter, I did some research, iit turns out I was one of the lucky onesBetter to be deactivated before I started, then deactivated with your thousands of dollars in funds withheld from you and no one responding to your emails as has happened to thousands of people in the past few years

I signed up with SquareThey accepted me to process using their web-based invoice systemI purchased their card readerA client of mine paid for services (tax and business consulting)After it charged my clients Credit Card, I was subsequently denied by Square to process further because of the nature of my business as a CPA firmThen they said I won't collect on my client processed transaction for days
I'm not upset they didn't approve meI'm upset they approved me, allowed me to process, charged me $10, allowed me to purchase their card reader, and then a few days later (after all of that), they deactivated me and said the decision is "final."
Now there is not way to speak with a human being thereThey only automated emails stating the decision is final
How can such a well known company provide this type of service?
