[redacted] house was awful the smell of cat and animal feises was everywhere we tried to work in there as much as we could but had to keep leaving to get airwe all are sick with sinus infections now the workers had to walk through chicken and duck droppings all the way through the walk ways they were very rude and nasty to the workersthe cabinets were not attached to the walls and had water damage to the boxesTe credit card company did not refund them anything after we gave them all the emails and pictures catching them in lie after lie ..also there is a lein being placed on their house for not paying their final payment I dont think they even care about that

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Lay it Straight is being dishonest I did not provide a positive review on Alexsreview.com, nor have I ever placed a review on that website Below is the email sent to them yesterday before contacting the Revdex.com.This is an official request for full reimbursement of the costs associated with the bullnose tile that was ordered on 8/19/2015, reference S.Onumber Description Qty Rate Amount3xsubway boxes $$13.24Bullnose labor $$160.00Total $173.24The service provided to resolve this issue has been totally unacceptable, causing significant delay in completing our bathroom Repeated calls for status were not returned Now we find out today that after more than additional weeks you still have not received the tile or initiated the bullnose This demonstrates a total lack of disregard for customer service, and leaves us no choice but to file a formal complaint with the Revdex.com Please draft a check for the amount, and we will pick it up personally This has been very disheartening, as we were pleased with the quality of the cabinet and countertop, and have no idea why you would treat us this way.Also, checking online from [redacted] , the same tile is available with free shipping by Dec 30th, so there is no excuse for the compounded delays stretching into multiple months of waiting.Also, please confirm via email that you received this email, and confirm when we can pick up the check [redacted] and [redacted] ***###-###-####It is correct that they failed in the first attempt for bullnose, and were supposed to have the second completed before Thanksgiving Then it was by December 16th They say the tile will be in tomorrow, but that is just the unfinished tile that still has to go back to the bull nose company Also, they did not inform us of the first failure We had to go into the store because they were not giving us any information, and that's been the many weeks agoThe owner wa in the store a t the time, showed me the discolored tile, and a "test attempt" at an unfinished tile that went through the furnace at a lower temperature The real issue is that this ***er has literally stretched on for months with no resolution, and they did not return our calls until yesterday Also, the sales agent refused to allow me to speak to the owner for resolution She said the owner only comes in rarely, she speaks to her via cell phone Note the extreme delay above from the original purchase, and we have been without the bathtub for months They have essentially done nothing since early November, and if they claim the issue is related to shipping delays that is not substantiated, as I offered in November to provide them some of my tiles The sales agent gave no reason for the delay, and said it was not her responsibility We just want our money back Regards, [redacted] ***

To whom it may concern, I don't agree with lay it straight regarding their explanation of work performed yes I did initial the granite viewingBecause the granite was at a different location and didn't fit in time line but myself and the sales lady had agreement that the granite would be uniform and Free of imperfectionsWhich it was not when delivered the first timeAs far as the measurements I did have a backsplash that was installed from previous owners but they was open area's for them to take measurements they didn't measure right which caused the material to be to short and not to fit correctly so they removed and was going to replace along with the island which had to large areas that looked like rust or coffee stains which didn't feel the imperfections that I had mentioned when they returned with the new pieces they had only replaced one piece which it also had a Large Rust- coffee stains look which I told them before wouldn't work I told them to leave it in because I was having a surprise birthday party for my wife after the party they came to remove saying they were going to recut the intire job they stime for my wife and myself to pick out new slabs but when arriving they had something else in mind we picked a new piece for the island but they had a piece from the same lot for the sink piece but wasn't sure if it was enough to fit so I made the suggestion that they use the original piece and cut one end off and make a piece that would go on the other end so they would have enough material they agreed colors matched up but the employee that made this cut it to short in the other direction so when they installed it I had over a 1" gap against the back wall which didn't allow me to use my filler piece for my backsplash, they wanted to cut filler piece but I said no do to I would have to hid the seam with a grout line which would have been 1/2" thick so I ask them to make me a 5" backsplash to hide gap again I'm trying to work with themSo when they were supposed to be there didn't show no call or email so I called the sales lady to find out what was going on she said it was her off day but she would find out 1/hebefore needing to be at work she called to say well there on their way I told them no It was to late that I needed to be at workIf I hadn't called would they have ever called doubt it, the owner hardly ever return's my emails also that satThat they installed which was 6/24/was supposed to been ready on Friday but changed to Saturday which I had to work which left my wife there She didn't know what to look for but did notice the large gap in back wall installers told her that could be fixed no a correct answer yes everything thing can be half done right but when you're paying thousands of dollars you want it done rightThey have not done things right and in a timely manner so there forth I'm requesting a full refund so me and my wife can move forward thank you

The rust that mr [redacted] refers to is not rust it is a natural color of the stone he selected Mr [redacted] signed off on veiwing the slab upon purchasing with the sales repSales rep tried to help the client be happy and paid out of her pocket to remake the island When template was performed there was tile on the wall and it was thicker than what we could seeSo since the tile was an unforseen condition and being thicker than what we could see the top was made to what we could seeWe made another top .mr [redacted] did not like the color again of the natural stoneHe wanted the smaller top again we made a seperate piece to help with the size .mr [redacted] wanted wanted that top to be installed we installed it Mrs [redacted] signed off on the install compliments to the installers Mr [redacted] purchased tile trim peices not from us and now is claiming that does not work He then wanted a inch back splash and he came in and selected the inch splash we made those pieces he is set for install on Monday morning Could do those peices today Mr [redacted] claims he had to work and we could not come out to his place today as scheduled now having us to move it to monday So we also made a piece for his bathroom that he changed after the templateWhich have photos before and afterPlease do help resolve thisAll he has to do is be available and let us in to put the back splash on that Mr [redacted] did not pay for as well as the remake of the bathroom piece We can only do so much to make a client happy We are available to finish this project

supply onlyMr *** did not purchase the install or delivery of the cabinetry The purchase was through our vendor *** *** When the cabinetry arrived to Lay It Straight Mr *** picked it up Mr *** informed Lay It Straight that the stain was slightly different on the doors It took Mr *** plus weeks to bring the doors to the showroomLay It Straight contacted *** to do a stain match This process takes some time to match the colorMr and Mrs *** were made aware Mrs *** contacted Lay It Straight with very inappropriate emailsDemanding Lay It Straight to do things outside of their sales orderLay It Straight has offered for them to bring the cabinetry back to the showroom and we will attach the doors here for Mr *** The new doors were sent to their home *** ** overnight free of charge per *** so they could get them soonerMrs *** response in email was that she would not sign for the doors or except them from *** **We had to contact Sharonville Police department to ask her to stop the emails Our attorney has made contact with them as well for posting information about Lay It Straight on public sights Mr and Mrs *** are now in possession of the cabinetry and the doors YOU CAN ALSO VIEW THIS STORY ON *** THEIR STORY and Emails WILL BE UP WITHIN DAYS .Thanks Lay It Straight

THIS CUSTOMER HAS HAD PLENTY OF CALL BACKSMRS *** DID NOT PAY FOR THE TILE INSTALL SO THERE IS NO MONEY TO REFUND HER LAY IT STRAIGHT STILL HAS HER SPECIAL ORDERED TILE THAT *** DID NOT PAY FOR EITHER *** PROVIDED HER OWN MEASUREMENTS FOR THE TILE BACK SPLASH AND THAT IS WHAT WE
ORDEREDANDY DID NOT GO OUT TO HER HOME TO TAKE ANY MEASURESWE INSTALLED HER GRANITE THANKS

This was already taken care of within the first week she refused to let the gentleman in to do the repair I have no idea why she turned this into youI already purchased the material and she knows that After months she mailed a letter and said the place I paid did not do it I do not
have the price to replace the whole floor So that is what im waiting on that still To top it off we never charged her to move the appliance she was supposed to have them out of the way And she did not want to pay out cabinet guy to come and install the cabinets she hired a cheeper place and we fixed them for no charge because they messed them up We can only do so much to helpMy next step is gettingmy atty to deal with it because we already attempted to make it right numerous of times

for any portion of their graniteClients owe approx dollarsAs soon as they pay for the corrected cabinets and granite we have no problem installing the remaining productsIf clients do not pay we will move forward with legal action thanks

After LIS threatened legal action against us, we turned this matter over to an attorneyHe tried multiple times to resolve this issue with no success As of July 6th, we have had to hire another company to take over the project and repair the problems left by LIS

* Checked my phone records and show one call from Lay It Straight on Friday, May 12, @ 2:PM I got the message and returned the call around 4:on Friday, May 12, The person I spoke to said Ms Pollitt was not there I specifically requested her to make sure Ms Pollitt knew I returned her call and would call again on Monday, May15, * Called Lay It Straight today, Monday, May 15, MrsPollitt said she contacted her lawyer and that since I was supposed to move the appliances, I basically owe them money for the employees moving the refrigerator and stove, which is what damaged the floorI was NEVER told before installation, during installation, or after installation of the granite, that the stove and refrigerator were to be moved NOTE: Employees of Lay It Straight moved the refrigerator without putting anything on the floor to protect itDid the same with the stove Consequently, the damage to the floor in numerous places.* Today, May15, 2017, MrsPollitt, owner of Lay It Straight, stated she would send me a letter with an explanation of expenses and a check for $ Stated that she contacted her attorney, and that this was her offer to me Said I would have to pay the additional $to replace the floor * I gave permission to send the letter and check,but stated I would NOT cash the check, nor consider the case closed, until I saw all the figures and talked to the vinyl expert again I also told her she has NOT been honest with me throughout my dealings with herShe says things and does not follow through, and also changes her story when it benefits her For this reason, I stated I would not cash the check until I know that everything is what she saysIf she had been trustworthy, I would have never resorted to filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.*If the numbers are incorrect, I will not cash the check, nor will I consider the case closed NOTE: I will state again, when buying the cabinets and granite, I paid exactly as I was supposed to doThe materials and labor were paid in advance Lay It Straight canceled and rescheduled more than once for templates Did the same for install of granite, and the same again to finish putting the two sinks in and hooking up the plumbing I was without a working kitchen for THREE MONTHSVery distressing that an owner of a company treats customers like this, and then tries to put the blame on the customer.
