I am rejecting this response because: nothing they said is true. It's been 11 weeks now check the weather that would mean its rained or snowed for approx 8 weeks.  I never refused delivery they never would reschedule after didn't show up on January 6.  There whole statement is untrue however the complaint helped they called (finally) today and scheduled delivery for this Thursday   Will see if they show up this time  thanks for the help

Mr. [redacted] came to our office and purchased a non-refundable roll-up door. These doors are non-refundable because they are easy to damage during loading and unloading, and are nearly impossible for us to reuse for our customers garages once opened. The contractor...

must have been hired by Mr. [redacted], because our company never referred one to him. Now the door has went through too many hands in order for us to confirm that there have been no damages to the door. We suggest the customer hiring a door company or the appropriate type of contractor to install the door as our company does. Our doors do not come in boxes as described by the customer; they come rolled in plastic, and the door had no defects when the customer agreed to purchase it. The door is non-refundable due to being handled by the customer's unfamiliar contractor.

Our company sent a contractor out to check the roll-up doors and nothing was wrong with the doors. The customer had also claimed trim was missing and it is not. We do not buy back doors nor do we refund for them, nor do we manufacture them. We have no use for used doors. This customer changed his...

mind on his colors of his garage a few times before installation, and if he changes his mind on the type of door he wants, he will need to resell his door elsewhere instead of suggesting that we repurchase the doors . The locks on the doors are standard and we do not have a way to alter them since we do not manufacture them. No where on his contract does it have any type of note or request for the doors to be custom-ordered in any way nor is there a charge for custom-ordered doors. The contractor who went out to check the doors did explain the doors with the customer and the customer did agree to leave the tension as it was.Our contract has been fulfilled with this customer and if he wishes to alter the design of the door or change the tension on the door again, it may be best for the customer to call an actual door company for any future changes. If this customer has attempted to adjust the doors himself or has damaged the doors since the contractor left from checking the doors , he does need  to contact a door company to repair the doors . We have not heard any complaints since the contractor went out to check the doors until now and it has been over a month. The contract does say any complaints must be made within 48 hours of installation.

This customer's red metal was switched out to brown metal at no extra charge earlier this week as requested by the customer. The customer has not called our office with an further complaints or requests.

Review: I purchased a building from Steel Building & Structures on 3/37/2015. They finally came and erected the building in mid April. During that time they installed the wrong size roof which has caused a very large opening along the top of the roof and on both ends of the roof which is causing water to come inside the building and ruin my floor. They have been back to fix the roof 3 times and continue to send the incorrect size. I have made numerous attempts to call and still no resolution to correct my building.Desired Settlement: I would prefer to have my building corrected, if I do not get resolution soon I will have no other option but to take them to court and receive a refund along with having them reimburse me for the floor as well.

Review: Purchased a carport and after it was put up I discovered a crack in the roof and I found many screws in my driveway that are like the ones used on the carport luckily none got in my tires. I have repeatedly contacted the company about this issue and have had multiple appointments to have the roof repaired and every appointment has been canceled and 2-3 times nobody called to inform me that I have been rescheduled, I found out by calling them wondering where the repair man is. I have missed many hours of work and missed my daughters softball jamboree because I was sitting at home waiting for nobody to show up. I have spoken to Tracy, Brenda, Tameka and Kelly and none of them seem to be able to get this issue resolved. They all tell me that the manager Jay Laura will call me back or for me to call him back but when I do he is never there no matter when I call. This has been going on since January 9th 2015. It shouldn't take 4 months to get something repaired that you paid $600 for. This company has the worst customer service ever. I would rather deal with the cable company than these people.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my carport FIXED without having to miss any more work.

Review: We had a 18x4 foot extension added on a carport that was put up on Feb 19 2015, the extension was added on 31 Mar 2015 and the trim was not done to match the rest of the structure, color was correct, and the roof piece was cut and that part exposed, we contacted multiple times and they loose our file and e-mails every time until we talked to manager, now it was approved over a month and a half ago and still hasn't been fixed, because they don't want to come from NC to Georgia just to fix this.. they have to have another structure in the area to put up for them to make a trip.. I purchased the structure to be done right and the crew messed it up during installation and now it has been over 3 months total hassling with them to come out and fix it.. P.S. they don't show up on time, both structures were set at 10:00 am and showed at noon, had to take off work on first one and not second, should have stayed home, but wife had to be at work and I was out of state.. was a surprise from wife...the extension was purchased 3/13/15 and was erected 3/31/15Desired Settlement: To get out here and fix it by 31 July at the 10:00 am time they were supposed to be here on first 2 visits so we don't have to take off from work..

Review: I made my purchase from overmans,out of kings mtn. [redacted]. Have been dealing with steel bldgs since then. They came out to put the bldg up on Feb.3,it was 20 degrees,they got the frame up and came back the next day,everything was iced over.The next ice ,rain,and snow came and the leaks started.we first called [redacted] headquarters,he said someone would be in touch,we then spoke with [redacted],it took a month to get somebody back out here.Again it leaks they ask for pictures,we sent them pictures,marked the ceiling and floor where the leaks were,they sent a supervisor out that said it looked like it was coming up through the floor.Finally they sent 3 guys with a new roof in MAY.They took the roof off pulled the framework tighter,and put on a new roof,and said if it leaks now I'll buy it back and gives you as new one.Well it still leaks in more different places,running off both front and back,under the door down the window,and the ceiling.Been wanting to get electric city run to it ,but can't. We would like our money back so we can go elsewhere.We can't even get anybody to take a call anymore,its either busy,or it picks up and disconnects.Pretty fed up, don't know what to do anymore.Please help.Sincerely , [redacted] p.s. they have my name on the original invoice as. Review: in [redacted] 2014 we bought and paid for a car port/shed to be installed....in [redacted], after many missed appointments, it was installed in med [redacted]....they showed up after the sun went down and proceeded to work with flashlights,while here it was discovered that all the materials to finish and we were told they would be back, on [redacted], again after many missed appts, they showed up after 7 p.m. and again it was discovered they did not have the right materials and were told they would be back in the morning, well it is [redacted] and we have heard from no one....Desired Settlement: we want a full refund and a written apology.....during all this time my, husband, whom is disabled, has miss many doctor appts while waiting for these people and finally ended up in the ER due to anxiety....we do not want them back here giving promises after promises, WE ARE DONE

Review: I ordered a building 28 x 35 from the [redacted] location on 10/14/2014 from [redacted], I put down a 10% deposit of 896.04. After calling a few times they came and erected the building on 12/1/2014 where I wrote a check for the balance of 8,669.18 I finally got it inspected around the 15th of December. First of all when I ordered the building I was told that I did not have to have the locking latches on the outside but when I saw the building the latches was on the outside but nothing could be done then because it was already drilled and put in the installers said they was how they done everyone. My house was completely just a few days after that and I began moving the first time I used the roll up doors was then I could not open the doors without one person holding the door down why someone else opened the latch, also the quality of the latch was terrible and it is not secure. I contacted them and they said they would come back and fix the problem on 1/15/2015 at 6:45 in the morning the same installers rove thru my newly seed yard and took a look at the doors and said they could not take the tension off the doors they would not stay up they would fall down they was here less than 10 minutes also they had left marks on the building where they put the screws and did put the trim around the roof he said he would let them know what he found. That day a lady called me back and I told her that they could not fix the doors and was very dissatisfied with doors and at this point I would just rather them come back and take the doors down and refund my money because I was promised I would be satisfied with doors and I was not. I paid $700.00 for doors I cannot use and could be broken in with a simple screwdriver The lady said she would talk it over her boss and get back to me it has been over a month now and I haven't heard nothing any help you can give me would be appreciated thanks [redacted].Desired Settlement: Take the doors down and give me a refund or put up regular garage doors.

When I chose this company they advertised about how they are so different and to watch other companys for not doing what they say and how they stand behind what they sell. I did not change my mind on the door I chose I was just expecting doors that actually worked without having to have 2 people to open them that is not what I got. they said I have to make any complaints within 48 hours this building was installed on a property where my home still under construction and I did move into till a month after it was installed. I expected more from this company and I am very disappointed in what they gave me.

Review: I purchased a Vertical Garage from Steel Buildings and Structures, LLC. It was installed on 4/29/2014. The chosen color for the garage was rustic red. However, the color I received is not what I ordered. I called the company the next day, 4/30/14 to hopefully resolve this issue. The sales manager became was very rude during the conversation. I explained to the manager that the color garage I received was not the color I ordered. The manager proceeded to make several comments regarding that the color is close to what I ordered Rustic Red and therefore there is nothing I can do but pay to have the color changed. I stated that I shouldn't have to pay and that it was their responsibility to deliver what I ordered. To settle the disagreement, the manger stated that she would have a sales rep come to my house with a color code chart to verify the color. If the representative states that the garage is not the correct color then she would have Steel Buildings, LLC correct the color. The manager called the representative and he arrived at my home with a color code chart within 20 to 30 minutes of the phone call. The rep placed the color code chart against the garage and stated that garage is neither rustic red nor crimson red (The two colors offered by the company). He stated the same to the manager on the phone in my presence. The manager stated that she would have the color corrected. I received a call from the company scheduling a date for the corrections to be made but no one showed up on the scheduled date and time. The next day I was told that the workers "ran out of time" because they were having problems with the customer before me. They have yet to call to schedule another date. When I call them, they are clearly irritated by the call and are very rude - especially the Sales Manager. I have been trying to resolve this issue since 4/30/2014. I requested on several occasions for the company to come correct or recover their product. To-date neither has taken place.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to come correct or recover their product in a timely manner. I would like a refund if they recover the product. This issue has been going on since 4/30/2014...it is now 6/12/2014.

After installation she claimed that she had received Crimson instead, which would have been impossible due to Crimson (Also called Patriot Red which is a bright red) having to be special-ordered. We asked the salesperson to go out to her site with a color chart and he stated that is was Rustic Red , with a "hue's difference" from the paper color chart, which is due to comparison of light reflection between ink on paper vs paint on metal. [redacted] wants BROWN metal. Although this was not on the contract and will be costly to our company we have agreed to switch the Barn Red metal out for brown. We will be calling her within 2-3 weeks to schedule to do so.

I received a call from Steel Buildings today, 6/13/2014 offering to make the corrections to the garage on Tuesday, 6/17/2014. Making me wait another 2 to 3 weeks because I do not wish to drop this claim is like penalizing me for filing this claim and that is not right. I wish to have the scheduled date of Tuesday, 6/17/2014 as discussed.

Review: I purchased a steel building from this company about 2 years ago. This building had a garage door that was defective from the beginning. Apparently it was installed incorrectly. I called the business the day after the initial installation about the door and the fact that it feel off the rollers that operate the opening of the door. The owner of the company came out and repaired the door, he told me at the time that if I had any more problems to contact him again, no problem. This garage houses a car that I don't drive maybe 3 or 4 times a year, and this inferior door has not been correct from the time I purchased this garage from this company.I called the company today and was told that they don't work on doors. I explained that the owner had told me to contact him with any issues but the woman on the phone refused to offer any solution. I even told her I would pay for a call if that was necessary but she again refused to help me in any way. She told me several times that they did not know anything about the doors on the buildings that they install. I am very disappointed in the building, I paid several thousand for this building and expected it to last at least more than a couple of years.Desired Settlement: I feel that this door needs replacing or at least repaired since the owner of the company told me he would stand behind his work. I don't feel that customer service is worried about future business or the fact that a customer is unhappy with their product.This door is defective and could possibly fall on my $35,000 dollar car. I am afraid to try to fix it, I am a disabled Veteran and I am afraid that this door could fall on me.

It has been 2 years since this garage has been installed. The garage door was not defective. The garage door was not installed incorrectly. The door was not off of it's rollers when we went out. It had a bent SCREW which we replaced , and we have not heard complaints about the door anymore until now. Our company does not repair doors. The owner of our company does not repair, manufacture, or maintain customers doors . Our company would not be the one to pay to repair the door . We recommend the customer to call a door company to repair the door if anything has happened to it since we fulfilled our contract 2 years ago. A spring could be broken in the door for whatever reason and we are not equipped with extra springs or parts like a door company is, or another screw could be bent, which is odd since this is the only customer we have ever had with the issue of a bent screw within the 14 years we have been installing roll-up doors on our buildings. Our company installs doors for customers in order to complete our garage packages only, but our main focus and line of business is buildings, not doors. Nothing has ever been wrong with the building as being implied by the customer.We have never got a complaint about the building. The only complaint we ever got about the door was years ago and we repaired it. These doors are very inexpensive with no warranty and it is the customers responsibility to care for them. We are not door specialists and we fulfilled our contract with this customer years ago, and therefore recommend that the customer call a door company to repair any damages to the door that has happened since then on the customer's property.

[redacted] I am rejecting this response because the owner told me in person that this door was installed incorrectly and that he was going to speak to his employees about the substandard work. He also told me that if I had any problems that he would take care of it. I will make sure that I never do business with this company again. How much is it worth to insure good customer service to come out and fix a simple screw if that is the case? Apparently this company does not care about the satisfaction of their customers, and do not stand behind a spoken promise from the owner. I will make sure to let everyone know about the conduct of this company. If they refuse to comply with their promises I will buy me a more substantial door since the company basically said that they only install cheap doors. A company can only stay in business with good customer service and I don't believe for a minute that I am the only one who has had problems with this cheap door. I rarely go into this garage and if someone uses it on a daily basis there is no way that this door does not fail more often. I can see that the Revdex.com has done all that they can and I will have to just buy another door.

Review: I went to Eagle Ridge Buildings in Ellijay Ga. to order a shed on March 3, 2015. I ordered a 12X21 shed through this contractor, Mr. M[redacted] who wrote the contract through Steel Buildings and Structures and wrote a deposit check for $70.00. He told me I would be contacted between 2-3 weeks to set a date for installation. A month went by and no word. We checked our bank to find the check had been cashed and indorsed by Mr. M[redacted]. I called Steel Buildings and Structures and they said they had no record of the contract. They said they would call Mr. M[redacted]. We waited several days and called them back and they said they just received a fax of the contract and they would put a rush on the order. Still no call, so on Saturday, April 25 we called back and talked to Brenda who said there as no record of a contract, I explained that I talked to Kelly 3 or so weeks earlier who said that the contact as just faxed. At this time I asked for my deposit back because now we have been waiting 2 months. She said that I had to call Mr. M[redacted] and ask him for the deposit because this was his commission. I said the contract was written through their company and I did not feel that I should have to do this. She then proceeded to tell me that there was no refund of deposit money even though this is their problem and dysfunction and not mine. I asked her to have the owner/manager to call me on Monday April 27 and nobody has returned my call. I have called them 5 times. This company has never called us even though they knew that there was a major problem. I really feel that this is fraudulent business practices as well as horrible customer service. Our check has been cashed,money pocketed and still no shed.Desired Settlement: We would like our $70.00mback. I have no confidence in this company.

Review: My name is [redacted] and I live in Roaring River, NC, my phone number is [redacted].I am currently have a contractor to build me a large storage building and I needed a roll-updoor for the building. On December 15, 2014, I started calling different companies to seeif they had one available, and I was referred to try to call Steel Buildings and Structures,6833 South Carolina Avenue, in Boonville, NC 27011; to see if they had one available. I did call them and was told that yes they did.I went and made the purchase of a 6x6 RUD door and the total price was 266.87 with tax, I paid cash. On the receipt it states that they are a member of the Revdex.com.ORG.On December 16th 2014 it rained so the contractor could not work on the building. On December 17, 2014, I had to fly out for work, but my fiance [redacted] was home for the the contractor, and when he arrived with his crew, he opened the box for instructions,there was NOT any instructions. The contractor called the company at 336-367-6600 several times trying to get instructions, while his crew was not being able to proceed on the building until he knew what rough opening was needed and other instructions. Finally in the afternoon, after several calls, he was finally told that the company could not provide any instructions. So [redacted] called meand told me what was happening, so we made a decision to go with another type of door. On FridayDecember 19th, 2014, [redacted] called the company 4 times trying to return the door. She spoke with Tamika and was told that Tamika had to contact the manager that she was not in at the time,because she would have to write check. On the 4th call in the afternoon, Tamika told [redacted] that she would try to call the manager on her cell phone. Tamika called back and said that [redacted] could not return the door.First she said they we ordered the door, which we did not and then she said that they did not take returns on doors. No where on the receipt does it state that they do not accept returns. [redacted] told Tamika that the door was never taken out of the box and that no instructions were provided. Tamika stated that she wasaware of no instructions were provided by the company. Tamika did put [redacted] thru to the managers voice mailand [redacted] asked the manager to give her a call and at the time, the manager has not contacted [redacted]. I willbe posting this on Facebook and tell all my friends that live in Boonville and Yadkinville. Review: We contracted for a 20x21 steel building from Steel Buildings and Structures, LLC locally through [redacted] wrote the contract for an 18x21 but charged us for a 20x21 - Steel Buildings caught the mistake and [redacted] assured us that we ould get the correct building. We paid for a certification to obtain building permits as well. We applied for one with Gaston County on March 10, 2015 as Steel Buildings wanted to install on March 12th. The Gaston County Building Inspector advised that it listed the 2009 International Residential Code and it had to say 2012 NC Residential Code to obtain a permit. I called but [redacted] and Steel Buildings about it. Steel Buildings faxed a new certification to Gaston co but it was still incorrect - they did this 3 times each time it was incorrect. The last time Tracy told me that they would have to contact their engineer and she would call me back. Never got return calls from them, called numerous times talking to her sometimes and others leaving messages that never received a return call. She was told plainly what was needed to obtain the permit. My husband also spoke with her and left messages too. We still have not received the correct certification and they have still not called us to try to correct the situation.Desired Settlement: If Steel Buildings could not get the certification needed all they had to do was tell us and make sure that our money was refunded through [redacted]. However they ignored all of our efforts to get it corrected and could not even be bothered to return a phone call or give us any sort of explanation much less any sort of customer service. We are very disappointed in both companies and don't want others to have to go through what we are going through.
