Missed a payment due to an oversight and had my power shut off20years as a customer and never significantly lateNo phone call, text, e-mail etcNo wonder overall reviews are 1/stars

SRP is the WORST electric provider in Arizona! They are a monoloply and force their customers to pay $deposit plus all of these additional fees that have nothing to do with electricity! They do not try to help their customers at all! All they want is your moneyThey have all these ways and scams to get more money out of youI had the best experience with APS and having to switch to SRP is the worst thing! They give us no choice or options and they don’t want their customers to go solar eitherI really hope they get what they deserve for screwing their customers over

I have been a customer for over a yea now when I moved to Phoenix from MinnesotaI have NEVER had such horrible customer service with a electricity company beforeI originally paid the deposit you need to pay but wasn’t told about any other options they hadWhen I was scrolling through the website I found the m-power box and never heard of such a thing so I decided to call them and ask about itThey were able to help me switch from what I had to the boxThey said I would get a full refund for the deposit since I only had it for a day or twoI never got my full deposit backIt’s now been a year and I have had nothing but issues with this boxMy I have a 465sq foot apartment and my electricity is almost dollars a DAYI have spoken with others with this box and one particular friend has a 2000sq foot HOUSEAnd pays less then I doEver since they started up with the app it’s gotten way worseYou get absolutely no notifications that your electricity is going to be shut offI

From June 7, until November 8, I have literally resided at that residence for a single night on July 27, during the aforementioned time frameI only had a flat screen TV plugged in, but not in use, my refrigerator plugged in, and my garage door lights onMy sprinklers were shut off at the breakerMy air conditioner had been turned off the entire timeI vehemently disagree with the charges on my billDuring that time I had been making monthly payments to keep the service on, but I never used that amount of electricity and no other person resided at my home during that timeI was out of stateI have plane tickets and bank records to support that I was not even physically present in Arizona, during that timeWhen I returned, I had an unexpected huge bill, that I disagree with, but did ask SRP for an alternative payment plan and they ignored my requestI have record of the email to the SRP official with that request

I had my electric turned off because I had movedOn August 7, I paid a final bill of $This week, I saw my credit score drop by points from an unpaid bill from SRP for $They said this was the final charge even though I had already paid my final charge

I spent the last three hours on the phone with SRPPleading with them to let me speak to a manger, because I wanted someone to come out and read my metermy electric bill is almost double my neighbors bill, with the same size housesAfter spending almost 30k in energy efficient upgrades me bill is well over a month higher than my neighborsWe replaced both Air conditioners with variable speed units, sealed our ductwork, added insulation, and changed a few windowsId like to know why my bill is so highThe response I got from the different people is, yes your bill is higher than others surrounding you but we cant tell why! I KNOW THAT! That's why I want my meter checked and calibratedMy thoughts are if your in willing to send someone out to verify that the meter is working properly then obviously you know there is a problem that you don't wanna own up toI'm beyond frustrated that they wont do what is right by their customersThe lack of consideration and poor customer service I'm actually ok withHowever the lack of integrity to resolve issues are borderline scam like corporate fiascos

An absolutely disgusting experience with an electric company that you have no ability to change I came home today to my power being turned off since I was two weeks late (due on July 20th and it’s August 3rd) and my next bill not being due until August 20th There are a few things that made this frustrating:
The account tech informed me that as a matter of fact, I’ve been text multiple times and they can tell they’ve been delivered I informed her I did not receive ANY text notifications about my bill She then backtracked and said I opted in for the text service online, but that I didn’t also opt in to the text itself and therefore didn’t get notified
I asked her why they would shut off power two weeks after a payment is due and more than two weeks before the next one was, to which she had no reply and later the supervisor, Steve would state “ANY past due balance is eligible for shut off.”
I paid the bill, and the representative before Steve asked if I could make sure that none of my appliances were on and I stated I couldn’t, since I couldn’t get in my house She then refused to turn on my services based on that Steve would later informally tell me that it just meant I didn’t leave on my stove when I left? Still not sure what that means
It’s degrees with humidity in Phoenix and I have four dogs all barking at my when I get home I have no idea when the power was shut off and if they’re suffering or in danger of heat stroke I explain this multiple times to both Steve and the account rep, neither or which seem to care at all
Summed up, this is a company that seems to think it can do whatever it would like without regard for the customer experience I’m writing this in hopes of a few things; SRP please review the tapes Create a standardized system of notification and contact - especially for customers who have been with you for multiple years Hire employees that care enough to want to help Treat your company like a true free market company, not like a thug oligarch who holds people’s power for ransom over two weeks past due with no notifications that I actually signed up for (people rarely check and verify their mail when they’re set up on a text or email notification)
I’ll do my best to ensure that SRP does not misuse or take advantage of a government gifted business model

Recently I did received a statement from SRP, requesting the payments for back delinquencies, I have notice that those statements are from another addresses witch are not related to me in any way, since I have not leave in those addresses< one statement name *** ** *** *** **, and *** ** *** *** *** both in Queen creek, AZ, ( San Tan Valley), I only will be responsible for any deficiencies if any, related to My Home *** * *** *** San Tan Valley, AZ
Is the responsibility of the SRP to find and obtain the payments of a total accord to their statements the amount of $1,138.42, from the party or parties involve, which I do not myself have any obligation to pay for services that I did not order my self
SRP is threatening to collect this amount of money from My Own service Account that I have with them, which: is
#***
Srp Claims that they have transfer the unpaid electric bill totaling $1,from account #***
I will not accept this unknown

I signed up in August for irrigation, and was required to pay for the entire current year, but was told I would get the first months refunded/credited on the next year's billWell that is not trueI only got about $refunded/credited which equates to about 1/monthsI fought this and was basically told "too bad"I would have waited for a new year aka new billing cycle to start if I hadn't been lied to when I originally signed up

I have had absolutely nothing but excellent experiences with SRP's customer supportThey are always very courteous and accommodatingAs someone who often experiences a lot of stress when contacting service providers, the customer support professionals at SRP have always made the experience as easy and positive as possibleI really appreciate the quality customer support

I have been a customer of SRP for approxyearsOn Tuesday, April 19th our electricity was turned off for a few hoursAs a result we had to throw away some items that spoiled in the heatWe made a call to SRP to inquire about the inconvenienceAn SRP representative informed us that someone had called to notify them that the home was being sold and no longer would require the account service (how can anyone just call randomly and SRP not verify the account information through the caller before making a drastic decision like turning off service)When I inquired as to who called, they stated they could not provide that informationMy wife called later and she was informed that SRP made a mistake and they turned off our service based on the wrong address numberSRP apologized and informed us that we would get a new accountOur old account # was *** *** ***; now SRP has given us a new account # *** *** ***They said because the previous account was cut, that we could not get it

SRP assumed an account to be associated with me from an address that was shared on public recordAfter going through there dispute process and providing proof of address for the dates askedI was then asked to make a police report and fraud affidavit for the old acquaintance who used my address to receive mail during a time of moving (which I explained)I also explained that I had no agreement with them nor requested their services for at that date and location

I just wanted to share my storySRP disconnected my power without notifying me by call, email, mail from a returned checkThey told me it was illegal for them to in the state of AZAfter explaining my situation, fully disabled with MS, living alone, with required medical equipment to run during the night, with my income only being a monthI was told to produce dollars in cash to restore services, and that I am SOL if I cannotNo joke, their representative said, 'Well you are SOL then.' Until you canWell big surprise, I was hospitalized last night because my oxygen levels were gravely low, due to the fact that my OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR was unable to run from my power being disconnectedI feel SRP is personally responsible; offered no solutions to my problemAlso all my cold stored groceries for the month are expiredJoys of living a fixed incomeGuess I will have to find a shelter to feed myselfVery disappointed SRP customer

Wednesday, September 28th, my service was interrupted foe alleged non payment of 158.49, for a period of hoursI had requested, and granted on line an extension to October 14thIn contacting the utility, I was informed that the on line site did not show a request for extension until 10/14, though the site does currently show that as the current due dateI had received NO disconnect notice via emailUS Mail, or on lineI was told told that such notification had been sent to *** * ***, Gilbert, where I had not resided in yearsI explained I was a senior years old, with heart issues, without so much as an apology, despite no available ACThey indicated they had turned off services via computer commandUpon payment , they assure service within the hour via computer commandThat did not happenThey said the command to restart failed, so they would dispatch a tech, which eventually occurredI was then charged for reconnect, and subsequently received a letter that

We ordered high efficiency A/C systems for our house, one for downstairs, one for upstairs Total cost was almost $ 17, While the installers did a great job, the person in charge of providing the documentation for the SRP "Cool cash rebate", Tammy Hawkins is unwilling to help us to get the rebate We tried to talk to her supervisor, Dan who never answered the phone or returned our calls
When we talked to Tammy, she stated "You are not going to get the rebate because you bought mini-split systems" We explained to her that 1.) Mini split systems are not excluded from SRPs "Cool Cash Rebate" program SRP states on their form that window units and new constructions are excluded
2.) The upstairs system is a conventional ducted central A/C system with a central air handler in the attic and not a mini split system with air handlers in each room Tammy

Srp wrongfully cancelled my account, had to activate a whole new account and made me drive to return the box so they could deliver me a new oneAdvised me a would occur no charges and would have to pay nothing because of this and that once I got my new box I could continue services as if nothing had happenedI receive the box with a credit on it of $Assuming this was for the inconvenience caused to me plus my balance on my previous account, I thought nothing of it until I went to add funds to my box and they deducted a portion of it to go towards "arrears"When I called the guy explained that the credit was only temporary and I now had to pay it backAfter talking to him for minutes about how this is not right because I did nothing and was never explained I had to pay back any temporary credit after I specifically asked if I would have to pay anything at all and was told no, he offered me a $credit and put it towards the "arrears" balanceI add funds to my account toda

I recently filed for bankruptcy and was already charged fees for a deposit and start up costs when I started servicesI was informed that I would have to have a new account created and pay another stadeposit againThis is illegal and insaneI will also be contacting the United States Attorney General's office as well because SRP is doing what they want to do and thinks no one can regulate them I asked as to why I have to pay another deposit again and she indicated they have to create a new accountApparently ,if I am filing bankruptcy that means I have no money and for them to request additional deposit is insane and my account was in good standing alreadyIf the BB cannot resolve this complaint I will go all the way to Washington with this issueI have had utility service in Missouri before and they do not operate like thisI don't know if SRP thinks everyone lives in Scottsdale and has money to give to them and we don't We are trying to live like everyone elseThis i

After having APS for over years, we moved to Peoria, AZWhere the only option for power is SRP, SRP is price gauging their residentsWhen we moved in July 2016, we set up billing with them (no choice), over the first 3-months they showed astronomical usage and their "price plans" are a jokeAfter speaking with them about an income based discount, we were informed that they only take off $20.00, no matter how many people reside in home or what your income isI have had to contact them multiple times about the billingTheir first budget billing increase was $They stated that it was because we had not been there the winter before, though when we set up account, they stated they were basing the budget bill off previous residents usageTwo months into the new bill, they sent us a balance bill of over $and when I called, they had "no idea how that happened as you are clearly on budget billing" After looking into solar to try & get away from SRP, we came to find o

Ended up owing SRP a lot of money at my old placeIve alwasy been with roommates and I am super super busy so I just never questioned it and thought everyone paid this muchRecently being injured I had called and asked them if they could stop taking 35% of every power payment to go towards this 500+ bill I appently owed them, when I decided to ask for an itemized list of all these chargesI received a rather vague, undetailed list that just showed total amounts but not any information as to why other than mentioning a transfer feeI emailed and asked for more detail and for an explanation of the transfer fee as it may have came from some other unit I was not responsible forSomething is not rightI was in a tiny bedroom APT and hardly ever home and somehow owe them a ton of moneyI have not been given satisfactory proof that It is valid and having reached out several times in reply I they stopped responding to me when I brought it upNot sure what is going on but feel there a

Ever since you guys came and messed with my meter and gave me a new box I seem to be using more power and I checked my hourly rate for minutes and over the course of that minutes I went for cents to to 11cents to cents an hourHow does that happen when I had nothing on during that time frame and all of my appliances are new and energy efficientI’m using the same amount of power that I would in the middle of the Arizona summer and I don’t even have my heat or a/c runningSomething is wrong and I called to tell you guys and I was told no it’s all on my end but you guys can’t tell me why it went up when you gave me the new boxI’m sorry but this game isn’t gonna work on me I noticed and want an explanationIt’s nothing in my house besides the fact when I would run my dryer before it was cents an hour and now all of a sudden running my dryer is an hour something is wrongI spent on good quality energy efficient washer and dryer just for nothing because n
