We have contacted the applicant and confirmed that the credit card was charged for the correct amount We have also initiated a new background check at her request

The applicant contacted Sterling directly to file a dispute on their background check on 8/** On 8/ [redacted] we finished investigating the dispute and amended the background check The applicant and their potential employer will receive an updated copy of the background check Sterling Infosystems is a consumer reporting agency regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and state analoguesThe Fair Credit Reporting Act allows a consumer reporting agency days to investigate disputes Sterling attempts to resolve these as soon as possible, this issue was resolved well within the day time period

I have contacted the applicant and confirmed that he has received a copy of his background check from the employer It appears that the applicant was under the impression that a report would automatically mailed to him That is not the case, the applicant has the ability to log into the portal at any time and print out a copy of his background check He also appears to have contacted Sterling to request a copy of his background check To prevent identity theft we must verify an applicant's identity prior to mailing out this information and require the applicant to send in their drivers license or other government identification

Please note that the background check report issued for Lorenzo Boone was issued in full compliance of the Fair Credit Reporting Act The complaint asserts that information older than years should not have been included in the report The law specifically allows for the reporting of criminal convictions without time limitation subject to any state restrictions No state restrictions applied in the matter.SterlingBackcheck has reached out to [redacted] to also convey this message.Thanks

And why would they not tell me to retrieve it from the web site? Also, why would they not return phone calls or emails? This individual initially contact us to request that we contact the court directly due to a situation with his background check that has happened previously We did so which is what delayed the turnaround time Unfortunately the initial estimate of the time that it would take to resolve his issue was longer than expected He also placed a review with the Revdex.com previously and I responded that his report was complete That unfortunately was my error as it was still pending At this time his report is complete If [redacted] thinks anything is incorrect, we can file a dispute on his behalf We have contacted Switzerland county and have confirmed his information as requested Sterling Infosystems has offices throughout the world while maintaining our information on servers in the United States Thank you

Hello MsEscarcega, As per our conversation our company does not mail reports automatically for all applicants for any of our clients. You mentioned that MrScholl, says that one of our customer service representatives said it would be mailed out automatically, if that was said that would be a violation of our policy, and potentially expose applicants confidential information. Applicants can call and request a copy of their report be mailed to them, we do require a photo id to avoid identity theft. Applicants can also log back into our website with the credentials that they created and print out a copy of their background check. If you go to our website at www.sterlingbackcheck.com and click on contact on the top, go to the drop down in the middle and select that you are an applicant with a question, click get my form and then below that it asks for applicants that would like to receive a free copy of their report to click online request form. This page explains the process that an applicant would need to do to get a copy of their report by telephone or mail. I had tried to explain this to MrScholl but he was frustrated and was not listening. Please let me know what other steps we need to close this out. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that while I still do not understand why the alternative name came up in my background check if that person is NOT using my Social Security number, I feel *** *** had done all he can to help me I will I investigate further with the Social Security Administration and others, if necessary I am very disappointed to learn that this may very well happen again if I have a Background Check run on me

Although the issues has now been resolved as of yesterday and the Hiring company stepping in and contacting the last employerOne of the employer's that you needed information from was a former employer that was also my current employerI was under the impression that you did not contact current employers Also the fact that you guys wasted days trying to get DOT information from a past employer that was not even a DOT employer wasted alot of timeI also sent in various information such as paystubs from previous employers to prove that I was employed at that timeThe reason why alot of the employers were not quick to respond is because a lot of individual's who were doing the verification were calling from other countries and hard to understand so they were skeptical to give informationI do understand that process can take some time but I dont think that it took long for the reason that are stated
