Absolute Scam
This is the worst experience Ive ever had with anyone who claims they are in business.
Straight up liars.
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT HAVE THESE PEOPLE REPRESENT YOU IN DEBT REMEDIATION.
Should be investigated for fraudulent practices.

Total Scam
This so called business is a scam. They will nickle and dime you and provide with the worst customer service. They lack communication and are programmed to give you the run around. For 5 weeks now I have been trying to speak to someone regarding a summons I received from one of my creditors. I have asked repeatedly to speak to a manager, I have a filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be seeking legally representation for breach of contract. Stay away from Stonepoint.66 complaints this year on the BBB site. Has anyone looked into filing a complaint with the Attorney General or a Class Action suit? Surely this cannot be legal and they need to be prevented from harming others.

Stay away at all cost
I signed a contract with Stonepoint Finance back in August of
2019. Since then I have made 21 monthly payments of 389.44 for
a total of $8178.24. I also made an additional deposit of
$9,000.00 ($17,178.24 total). I was promised that they would
settle my debt of $24,000 for around $15,000. As of this writing
they have only settled 2 of the original 5 accounts paying a total
of $6,147.66. I had to pay one of the original accounts off to keep
from being sued. to this date two accounts are still not settled
with them paying a measly $25.00 a month to these two
creditors. So I guess they have taken over $10,000 in fees to this
point. I have call repeatedly and sent emails with no response.
The original lawyer that signed me up says he no longer
represents Stonpoint. I guess his conscience got the best of him
for this scam. Stay clear of this company. It is obviously a large
scam operation that to this day continues to draft $389.44 a
month. I want out of contract with full refund!

Disappointed, Frustrated, and Saddened

When my family faced hardship after hardship, including three surgeries between my husband and myself, my husband's heart attack, the loss of my husband's job due to his injuries which led to a new job earning far less than before, while trying to support three of our six kids in college along with a number of other things, I reached out for help. Little did I know that trusting this company would do very little to help pay off our debt, but rather earn them 86.6% of the funds we paid in. The fees are ridiculously high, definitely not the amount we believed to being paid to the company. I feel like this company twists things and is sneaky to make it sound good, but in fact takes advantage of its clients in their time of need, does not allow them to easily get out of the program, and continues to charge fees after cancellation is requested. I was dismayed when I asked if they would use some of the $9,735.80 the took in fees to pay off the retaining settled account. In the 14 months we were in the program, they settled one account and paid only $1500 to it. I still have $5100 left to pay.

I am disgusted that the employees I spoke with are able to support such a fraudulent business practice. They are not about serving their customers. They are about serving themselves.

This was a huge mistake and I warn you not to work with this company.

0 STARS IF I COULD. I BEEN PAYING THEM OVER 1200 DOLLARS A MONTH FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. NO RESULTS. I RECENTLY CANCELED IT. WAS TOLD MANAGER WILL CALL ME BACK. NEVER HAPPENED. THEN I CALLED GLOBAL TO CLOSE MY ESCROW ACCOUNT AND GET MY MONEY BACK. THEY GAVE ME 700 DOLLARS OUT OF 5000 DOLLARS. I WAS HIGHLY UPSET SO CALL THE NUMBER ON THE Revdex.com. TURNS OUT THAT IS SOME GUY D O N A L D M *** WHO SAYS HE IS AN ATTORNEY AND INVESTOR BUT IS NOT LICENSED IN INDIANA. HE KEPT TELLING ME TO WRITE A COMPLAINT TO GET MY MONEY BACK. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD HAVE SOME KIND OF COMPANY NUMBER LISTED HERE? NOT THIS COMPANY. FOR ALL YOU OTHER UPSET PEOPLE WRITE AN EMAIL TO YOUR ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR YOUR STATE. ALSO I DID MORE RESEARCH and found THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION ALSO ISSUED A FINAL RULING ON DEBT RELIEF COMPANY'S BACK IN 2009. LOOK IT UP. THEY CAN NOT CHARGE UPFRONT FEES FOR NO SERVICES RENDERED. THEY STILL OWE ME MORE THAN 4000 DOLLARS. I FEEL DIRTY FROM SIMPLY ATTEMPTING TO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I AM A SENIOR ON A FIXED INCOME AND IT SEEMS THEY PREY ON PEOPLE ON ME.

Misleading customer service, ignored calls, money not used correctly
My husband and I started with Stonepoint Legal Group in March of 2019. We had good credit but couldn't keep up with our monthly payments and didn't want to have to file for bankruptcy. In the 14 months we had been with them they had made a settlement with one debt out of nine and that was at fifty percent. We paid a large sum of money each month with a high percentage (almost all) of it going to Stonepoint for fees. One of my debts gave me a notice that they were taking me to court in December and I forward that to them immediately like we agreed to do and contacted them to make sure they received it. Thought nothing of it because I believed they were working for us like that stated they would do. At the end of January after receiving a notice that action would be filed and I may lose property I contacted Stonepoint again and was told to give them 72 hours and they would get back to me. I did this, and when I didn't receive a call, I contacted them. This happened every two to three days, six separate times being told that I needed to add more money to the account. Or that the person in charge quit the company and they were getting someone new assigned to our case, which never happened.

Since then I have continued to take time out of my work day to contact them just to have them mislead and lie to me on several occasions. We now are having to take other courses of action to protect or home and property because things were not taken care of like we were told they would and I have a judgement against me now. I was told at different times different stories and was told several times I would get a call back. We have cancelled with Stonepoint and after cancelling with them I found out that one of my cards that wasn't in the program that Stonepoint contacted that card company and changed the contact address to Stonepoint. I only found out because that card sent me a notice of address change and I called them to find out that the address change had been made by Stonepoint after we had already cancelled the program.

Desired Outcome

I demand a letter of cancellation and release of power of attorney along with $8400.00 dollars, the amount paid that was not used in any settlement dating back to the beginning in March 2019.

Case has been resolved.

Stone Point Legal Group bills itself as a debt resolution service. In the six months that I have worked with them, they have done little or nothing on my behalf. They say that my Power of Attorney has been sent to creditors but *** () *** my main creditor, has no record of the POA being sent nor being contacted by Stone Point in any way. However, they have not failed to make the automatic monthly bank withdrawal of $500+. When I call almost weekly, I am assured they have sent POAs and made contact with creditors. I have called repeatedly to Stone Point, always talking with a customer manager who says they will forward the phone message and thank you for your call. In addition, I have sent emails which have not been answered, have numerous creditor calls, and lost the good credit rating I had by following their advice to stop paying bills. I am totally frustrated and want this relationship to end. I am appealing to the Revdex.com to help resolve this issue.
Product_Or_Service: Debt resolution

Desired Outcome

Refund I want an end to this relationship and a total refund of the full amount of money sent to them.

Less than satisfied but was told their offer was the maximum amount I could expect ($1400 out of $2800 sent to company). It seemed to be the thing to do in order to be done with the relationship. It was misrepresented from the start and only declined as time went on. I am still liable for credit cards, as well as the added late fees, and the negative credit score, due to me following their advice. I'm sorry to have ever been associated with this organization.

I have paid into this company at least over $6000 nothing has been sent to my *** card I now have wages garnished as well as a lien on my house!!
I have paid into this company at least over $6000 nothing has been sent to my *** card I now have wages garnished as well as a lien on my house!! Their fees are outrageous to do nothing to help. I'm in a much worse situation than before I started this program and now will have terrible credit because of them.

Desired Outcome

I would love to receive money back that I put into this program since it was not resolved

The company did end up refunding my money

I was trying to consolidate my debit. They told me they would contact the companies and get my debit lowered and figured out.
Im trying to get out of debit. I talked to them and they said to stop payments on all of my credit cards and they would get in contact with them to get things settled. Well they got one figured out but we were served papers for another credit card and I have been with them for a year and they are not getting things settled. They also want me to pay on top of what I'm already paying them a month to get this other credit card settled. I talked to one of the other credit cards and they told me Stonepoint has not contacted them at all to try to get things settled. The lawyer that took my case didn't get things done in time so than we got more papers and it's not good. They told me around six months credit cards would come around. They are very misleading and don't disclose everything. They made my husband's and my credit go down and I feel like if I would have stayed with them I would probably be filling for bankruptcy.

Desired Outcome

I have been paying $380.70 every month for the last year to pay off my credit cards with them and they only resolved one credit card. I would like that money back to pay for the last year and to get back on track.

I have had an account with them for two years. They are unresponsive to my inquiries, and they continue to take money from me monthly
I have had an account with Stonepoint Legal Group for over two years to settle my outstanding credit card debt. They take 556.00 out of my checking account every month. To date they have settled one account for just over 1,000.00. In March, I received notification from one of the creditors that a judgement was being filed for non payment. I sent all of the appropriate documentation to Stonepoint and they have done nothing to date. I followed up multiple times with phone calls and still have received nothing from them. On April 8th, I received a notification that my wages were to be garnished. I sent the documentation to them and made 6 calls to fix this. They still have not responded, contacted me, or attempted to resolve the situation. Worst experience in customer service I have ever had. I regret signing up with them.

Desired Outcome

I want Stonepoint Legal to handle my account like they were contracted to do, and stop my wage garnishment. There is plenty of available funds to settle the account.

Wish I could also add a negative rating. I was with the program since July 2019 and throughout that time, I have paid them around $3300. I had one account settled that was total of $1200 and settled to around $500. I called on 4/22, curious about other progressions on my other accounts and how much money I had in my "savings". $134 is what I had. Wtf. I was blinded by the fact that my first, lowest amount account was taken care of so quickly, I ignored the other reviews. Glad I got out when I did and maybe I can find some relief because of Covid19. I worked a 2nd job in retail to pay off debts and now that is gone, so my money to pay credit card bills is gone.

This company does not follow thru with their contract, they don't call back but are quick to take the money. Just sad I can't say everything.
I hired this company to help reduce my debt, they told me to stop paying my creditors and they would reach out and negotiate to lower them. I forwarded them all the papers I received and was told not to worry. Then when I started having my wages garnished they said they would "expedite it". I found out later that they never contacted the attorneys. They did offer a refund for only 1 account which would have paid off the only other account they had by the end of last year. Multiple calls and now we are in April and still they have not paid it off. They people answering the calls tell me that someone will call me back but have yet to get 1 call back. I am told every time I call that it is being recorded so maybe you can find out all I have said it true.

Desired Outcome

Not only did they not represent me in court, but they have ruined my credit, cost me more money in the long run, but they fail to return calls about my concerns. I would like all the money I paid to them for the last 18 months to be refunded and the court fees that were also applied to my debt paid by them. They even admitted that they failed to represent me. The 1 account they have should have been paid off by end of last year but it hasn't/ I even authorized them to pay it off. They have the funds in ***. I think this is a scam company!

The sales agent that I talked to was named Kerry. He lied over and over again. He is trained to lie and to get you to sign the papers. We decided to cancel before making our first payment, He told me I could not cancel over the phone. And since it would take time to send out the paperwork to cancel that there was no way to stop the first payment, this is 10 days before the scheduled first payment. I called the office at Stonepoint and they were able to cancel my account in 5 minutes. Disreputable sales team. Don't believe anything they say.

Examples.
Kerry - Your past paid interest to the credit card will be used to pay the current principal down, in this way you will have a lower principal amount through our program.
Reality - They will try to negotiate a very small repayment amount with your creditor and then double that amount in fees. Your past interest payment are not taken into account.

Kerry - We will make all of your payments for you through our FDIC account that you pay into. You will not have any missed payments show up on your credit report.
Reality - We will not make any payments to the creditor, we will let the account go so delinquent that the creditor will settle for a small amount, just to get something back.

Kerry - You may cancel at any time before your first payment.
Reality - You may cancel at any time before your first payment, but not by talking to Kerry.

I originally contracted with Stonepoint Legal to try to lower my overall payments on my credit cards. They have not followed through on the contract.
In August of 2018 I signed a contract with Stonepoint Legal to be able to reduce my credit card debt and payments. I signed the agreement to pay 579 on the 5th of the month and 597 on the 19th of the month. I received letters from *** in 2019 and sent that information to stonepoint. They stated they were negotiating a payment. In July of 2019 I received a summons from *** that they were suing me. The contract states that stonepoint would represent me in court. No one helped me. They did not represent me in court as the contract stated they would. I submitted to papers to the court but *** still got a judgment to garnish my wages. I have been contacting Stonepoint multiple times. No one calls me back. Several weeks ago the man negotiating the resolution stated the first time *** was contacted was in February. I have called and asked for a manager to contact me. George *** is his name. I have paid them over 19,000. They have paid out approximately 4400 in total. I want my money back since they have failed to contact me, negotiate the credit cards. They have destroyed my credit and now my wages are garnished at 1197 a paycheck.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of the over 14,000. They have not negotiated my credit cards and they have essentially stolen my money. They failed to follow through on their end of the contract.

I have an account with Stonepoint since Nov. 2017 in regards to my consolidation with the creditors. Now one creditor is garnishing my paycheck.
I have an account with Stonepoint since Nov. 2017 in regards to my consolidation with the creditors. I pay Stonepoint $500 each month to resolve my consolidation. Now one creditor is garnishing from my paycheck. The first time was $629.08 on March 6th 2020 and the second time was $767.10 on March 20, 2020. I have been contacting Stonepoint since March 4, 2020 to get help or answers on what is going on with the creditors when I received a letter from my employer regarding garnishing. I called Stonepoint right away. And haven't received a response. I have not gotten a response from the litigation department at Stonepoint and they keep giving me the run around and that they will call me back. However I have not spoken to anyone regarding this. I want to know why it has gotten this far as one creditor is garnishing from most of my paycheck. Now I'm behind on my mortgage and unable to buy groceries or necessities especially at this time with coronavirus and I'm quarantined at home for 14 days. I need to know what they are or planning to do and what can I do to stop the creditors from garnishing from my paycheck. I cannot afford the other creditors to take out most of my money. That's the reason why I have Stonepoint for my consolidation but they are no help as the creditors are already taking money from my account!!! What is the use of having Stonepoint to help with my consolidation if they aren't doing their job!!! This is very stressful for me, I'm not happy with Stonepoint and I need to resolve this before they garnish again as I am in need of my paycheck to get by in life!!! Thank you.

Desired Outcome

I would really want for Stonepoint to call me and tell me what they are planning to do and stop the creditors from garnishing from my paycheck. I want a refund from the unexpected garnishment of $1396.18.

I joined their program for debt consolidation 1/2019. To date, not one account has been settled. No one will call me back.
I joined their debt consolidation program 1/2019. To date, I have been sued by one of the creditors in the program, I pay 305 a month and am current on all payments. Four creditors in the program, not one settlement. I have had someone sent to my home in Jan of this year to have a new POA signed and when that person arrived, all of the paperwork had the *** name on it, not Stonepoint. I was told the reason for the new POA was due to the law group representing the creditor said they could not read the original POA. I spoke with a gal named Megan several times who claimed to be a supervisor, she told me she would personally handle my situation. After a couple times of her not calling me back as promised, she had one of her people tell me she had spoken to me several times and my case was being handled. I asked Megan to put me through to the person assigned to my case and she told me no one had been assigned to my case. Megan also told me she looped in her supervisor and that person would make sure things got moving. STILL NOTHING! In other words, she did not want to talk to me any longer. I have called at least once a month sonce 11/ 2019 and I still cant speak with a person assigned to my case. I called last week again and was promised a call back within 72 hours, again no call back. I am a retired disabled police officer with 27 years of public service. I had to medically retire due to Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. My disability payments are not much per month. I joined this program to ease the stress of this situation as stress is the instigator in my disease. I have had nothing but added stress since December of last year when I was notified of the suit from one of the creditors in the program. I only have 15K in debt in the program. This is UNACCEPTABLE! I have read nothing but terrible reviews, not one positive. I have looked all over the web for a CEO of both Stonepoint or *** and I cant find who this person is.
I want answers! With all of the problems you have caused, I feel I have been lied to and taken advantage of. Shame on your corporate greed and taking advantage of the disabled. I spent my career defending others from people like you and look, I am the unfortunate victim now! I have a lot of money that I have given to you and ABSOLUTELY nothing to show for it. I want contact from the CEO or President of this company. I want someone with authority in this company to have what it takes to call me personally so we can discuss where I need to go from here. I refuse to pay for services NOT RENDERED.

Desired Outcome

I want contact from the CEO or President of Stonepoint Legal Group to discuss where I go from here. Since they have charged me $305 a month for 14 months and not one settlement has been reached, I get blown off when I call, no one ever calls me back, maybe it's time Stonepoint just pays the remaining debt in full for me and clears all four of my accounts! You have caused me more than $10,000 in stress and heartache.

Some work has been done, but they are still a long way from being satisfactory. As soon as someone called me last week, I received a second phone call from a female at Stonepoint advising she handled the Revdex.com complaints. She spoke so fast and was very sly about her conversation. She told me she was happy I had resolved my complaint and she would be posting a positive solution. I had to tell her to stop, advise he I was not satisfied, nothing had been done on the case yet.

Satisfaction in my case is going to take some work on their part. I am not satisfied yet!

Stonepoint Legal Group Response • Apr 06, 2020

We understand that Mr. is not satisfied yet and as he describes won't be in immediate future. However, you system requires timely responses and he does have a contact he can call if he needs any answers.

The promises of the company to help you are not genuine. After requesting cancellation of the program, my $4000 retainer is going to fees.
My husband and I went with this program in March of 2019 in hopes of getting some relief on our debt after some hard years. We went with a plan that had a payment of $783.58 per month and were doing just fine for 5 months. In August, my husband lost his job and we were no longer able to make payments and provide for our family. Stonepoint was very understanding and allowed us to take three months off of payments. They also said that we would be able to adjust our payment plan when we came back on to the payments with something that may be more in our budget. When I called in January to resume payment arrangements, they said I who'd have to pay the original payment amount and they couldn't renegotiate. That's when I started to be concerned. I started researching this site and my own debtors to try to see if this was the best way to resolve. After speaking with a lawyer from *** in which we are in a litigation with, he was more than gracious to help us with a settlement.

I talked to my representative from the program and now he's trying to convince me to go bankrupt. I guess whatever they can do to make their money. I feel like I was dooped into this program with out full understanding of the process. I asked Stonepoint to release the power of attorney so that I can move forward with settling my own debts. I also asked if I would be given my money in my retainer of $3917.90. They said I would be sent a check in seven days instead I received an bank refund of only $145.01 today. They never resolved a single debt and only worked for a few months. That's a lot of fees!

Desired Outcome

I would like a a letter of cancellation and release of power of attorney along with the rest of the money I paid in so that I can settle these debts on my own.

The company has provided me a refund and released Power of Attorney. Thank you for your assistance with this issue.

We hired stonepoint in May, 2019 for debt relief services. We now have judgements against us with no help from SLG and no answers
We hired stonepoint Legal Group in May of 2019, and with paying them $395 a month since that time as per our contract. In November of 2019, we were sent a summons to appear in court within 20 days of receiving the summons. We sent the documents to Stone Point as we are instructed. We contacted them twice sometimes three times a week to find out what we were supposed to do. We were told multiple times someone would call us back and that never happened. They also told we were assigned an attorney and attorney would be contacting us and would represent us. The attorney's name changed multiple times. We never heard from any attorney. We ended up having to go to court ourselves to respond to the summons. They told us what to write over the phone as the attorney never showed up . In February of 2020 we received notification that an order for judgment against us had been filed in January and was granted. Again we were told they were handling it. We never were able to get a straight answer. And still didn't know who our attorney was.today, the day before our court date, they finally provide us with contact information for the attorney. We contacted the attorney and she said she is not going to be in court because she didn't know anything about it. I spoke with a supervisor at stonepoint Legal Group who told me he can see that everything is marked that was completed but nothing was actually completed. A further told us that in court tomorrow, it will likely garnish your wages and or seize property. The attorney has told us it's pretty much a done deal and we don't even need to show up in court tomorrow. We have documentation from stonepoint Legal Group showing that we are in good standing with them however nothing has been done to help us.

Desired Outcome

At the very least we feel that stonepoint Legal Group should refund all of the money that we have sent to them so far. They have not held up their end of the contract in any way shape or form. We also believe they should pay for the attorney fees and court costs which we are likely going to be ordered to pay as well. We want out of the contract. We could have done this ourselves and saved us lots of time and energy and headache and money and our credit

Every time I call, I get the same response Today ,they told me "Joshua" is supposed to be getting settlement offers but they can't call him because "he is away from his desk." This is the answer I get every single time I call.
Now, I see the matter had been closed because, supposedly, they have been unable to contact me, which is not true. They haven't tried. Additionally, I call them repeatedly only to get the same response every time. So and so "is working on it."

My debt has not been result. I have wrongfully received garnishments twice in a 6 month period. I cant get anyone to call me back or give me a reason
I signed with them in August of 28th 18. I have been paying $550 per month since then. I was in what I thought was an active payment plan on one of my accounts and garnishment began before the active payment plan had a chance to start. Communication was not made between the creditor and myself. I then began making payments after my garnishment was refunded and began being garnished again in January of this year which is 5 months after the 1st garnishment began. I have turned in all communications with them in a timely manner as requested. 2 and a 1/2 months later nothing has been done about this garnishment. I have another account that was turned over to them and requiring court dates starting at the beginning of January and nothing has been done on that period nobody seems to mind that I am now in a worse situation than I was when I started this program. I have had several promises for return phone calls with nothing done and return. Nobody seems to have any updates. Negotiators can't respond to emails. This has been a complete disaster. I expect a full refund for all of the fees and money that I have put towards this program over the last 1 and a 1/2 years

Desired Outcome

Refund of fees starting from August of 2018 to current

Stonepoint Legal Group Response • Mar 24, 2020

I finally heard from the negotiator myself on 3/25/2020 after almost 4 months of garnishment at 25% every 2 weeks. They are supposed to be talking with management to see if a resolution can be made with the creditor since they finally received proper and valid information from ME the customer. If this is not resolved, I have no choice but to withdraw from the program and expect a full refund in order to be able to survive. I should not he faced with this type of financial burden as I have done my part. Communication is a huge downfall of this company.

Falsely advertised program and contract to me.
I signed up with Stonepoint Legal Group in a Debt Settlement Program. Where I pay this Legal Group a monthly payment to settle my debt accounts I wanted help paying off. In the contact I understood I had to pay this company fees, the fees explained were NOT over 50% of my payments. I called Friday, February 28th 2020 to see where my debt accounts were at in the settlement process. I signed up August 2018, and as of today March 4th 2020, none of my accounts have even started to be settled/at zero progress. Stated in my contract and from several service reps, this company stats that settling accounts starts 9-10 months after the start of the program. It has been 19 months since I started this program and not ONE of my accounts has been negotiated at all. When I called and found out none of my accounts has been settled, I asked why and the service rep said it is because I only have $2,200 in my account with them. I was shocked because they should have $8,452.34 from me. I pay them $222.34 Bi-Weekly and have since I started in August 2018. I then asked where all the money I am giving them is going and they told me it has been going to the Stonepoint Legal Group as fees. This company is stealing my money from me. Not ONE account has had any progress and they are taking half of my payment for themselves in "customer fees." I have been in this program almost two years and they have done nothing but take my money for themselves and let me debt go to collections. When debt collectors started calling me and sending me letters in the mail, I called the company and asked them why debt collectors where calling me because Stonepoint legal group said they would take care of the accounts. No where in my contract did ANYONE ever tell me my accounts would be closed and go to collections. The company made it out that they would make the monthly payments for me until they could settle for a lower amount than owed and pay it off in it's entirety. I also asked to end the program but the service rep said I would only get back $2,000 and some change for what I currently have in my account with Stonepoint Legal Group. I am absolutely furious because they have taken over $6,000 from me in fees for services not provided and if I leave I won't get any of it back. I plan on talking with a consumer attorney about this as well.

Desired Outcome

I just want all of my money back that this company has taken from me. For 19 months they have let my accounts just sit, when they were supposed to be settled my accounts. I want my $8,452.34 back that I have paid to date. so I can take care of my accounts myself. Please help me, I was completely lied to and this company is a huge scam.
