If I could give Negative stars - I would. I signed on with Stonepoint 18 months ago to help settle some debt. Lengthy contract and several calls from them to get things started. They were all about me signing on with them. Then the program started. I pay exorbitant fees every month and to date have paid them $19,240 out of which they have paid $1500 on my debt!!!! I was sued by a creditor and Stonepoint told me not to pay or do anything - but they also didn't represent me so of course I lost that suit by default and now have that judgement against me. Then their lawyer made a deal with that debtor and got a deal which he forwarded to Stonepoint but they have never started paying on because they want me "to pay an extra $500 into my account" to start those payments. I've called about a dozen times over the past 18 months trying to get a customer service representative or a manager or anyone to talk to me and help me with this horrific situation. No one can ever help me - I've had numerous promises that someone will return my call and never once have I received help or EVER had someone return the call.
It is horrible. I am so frustrated. Looking at options to take legal course against this "legal" company that is ripping me off.

If I could give a negative star I would. I cannot. Stonepoint has caused one of my debts to now have a garnishment against me. They are now saying that I need to add more funds. I would rather get my money back and negotiate all of these myself. I have paid over 18,000 total to stonepoint and they have only paid out 4,400 total. I refuse to add more funds and am seriously considering legal action against stonepoint. I sent them the court papers for the creditor back in July. They said they'd take care of it. Then I contacted them again in September. again they said they'd take care of it. Their first contact with the creditors lawyers was just this week. March 2nd 2020. They have destroyed my credit and my credit was good before this. Stonepoint you should be ashamed of yourselves. I would never recommend your company to anyone. You are thieves and criminals.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY FOLKS RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN -THEY RIPPED ME OFF FOR $8362.35 - THEY DO NOT REPRESENT YOU AS THEY SAY AND ALL THEY DO IS STEAL YOUR MONEY -PLEASE EVERYBODY OUT THERE DO NOT TRUST THEM

StonePoint never lived up to their end of the contract they agreed to with me.
Was in a debt problems and joined StonePoint in November 2018. In November 2019 I was served court papers over one of my accounts. I forwarded all the information to StonePoint like I was suppose to. Called them numerous time to verify that they were doing something. Keeping getting an Attorney was looking at. Finally one last time right before judgement on the case was to handed down in December 2019 I called them to get an update. The customer rep said we never got all information needed. I lost it, I emailed all the information and upon looking they found the email and pulled all the documents that I sent to them like 4 week ago. Ended up losing the court case and having to pay full amount plus interest and fees because they didn't their job that was promised. Had the attorneys info the whole time never called them to settle or never called me to let me know they never received the information needed for the court case. I'm done with them they have only taking care of 1 account in the time being with them.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund for the amount of money the service fees and Legal fees that I have paid them since joining there problem in November 2018

I hired Stonepoint Legal Group to handle a debt consolidation in September of 2017. After paying them over $4,200, I am looking at having my wages garnished because they did not provide the services that were in my contract. I have uploaded all documents, paid all payments, and was told that I would have legal representation for any accounts on my case. I called about the wage garnishment two days ago and was transferred to the escalations department. I was told my case was not handled correctly, it didn't get moved to litigation, and they were so so sorry and would make my case right and handle it immediately. I never got a call back the next day, as promised. I tried calling again today to be told that the person I needed to talk to was not there. I am now dealing with legal fees, unpaid accounts, and no assistance. I will continue calling until I hear from someone and get my automatic payments cancelled. I would not recommend this company to anyone - please go somewhere else! I trusted them, and they did not help me. I am now looking at bankruptcy to settle all of these accounts. They did not help me - they hurt me in the long run.

Stonepoint assists people struggling with debt. They are professional and provide results.

I am running into the same issue with this company as well. They start with a contract thats about about 12 or more pages long. As mentioned with someone else I was told to not pay anything after they took over and I am paying them $536 a month , of which as the person says in another review, they take SIGNIFICANT amount of "fees" out of it. Then last month I get a small claims filed against me by one of the creditors. For pretty much what I owed them and late charges (since I was told to quit paying and they would handle the negotiations. I had to send the paperwork for the small claims to them, but I also had to submit the response for the small claims. Isn't this what a Law firm should be handing ? (Its a electronic response and CAN be done by a attorney representing you.)
SO they assign a lawyer, keep in mind small claims had been decided, and they wanted $75 a month to the lawyers who filed for the creditor. Stonepoint lawyer then "negotiated" and settled for the SAME amount but at $200 a month. I asked the lawyer , would this come out of the account at Global Client Solutions, and he said yes. Then I get email from Stonepoint to contact them to add money to the payment account. When I call them, they state they need a ADDITIONAL $400 a month for 6 months then additional $200 a month after that, in addition to the 500+ I already do. SO where did I gain ANYTHING Keep in mind this if for ONE of the creditors, of which I have 11. They "settled 2 of them, but are making minimal payments to them.
Here is what I am seeing from 09/01/2018 to Jan 2020. I am at a point I may need to quit work and file bankruptcy, Guess maybe I should have checked with Revdex.com before signing on with this company.
Paid in Admin fee Monthly Service charge Retainer Fee Service fee
$6,972.68 ($1,379.50) 186.15 ($995.00) ($4,050.46) Paid to creditors ($951.92)
So after 15 months They have paid $951.52 out of my payments of $6972.68, 13.65%
SO I have 13 accounts, they have settled one (in 15 months) 3 have payment plans and this small claims "litigated" one. This leaves 8 other enrolled, no action yet, anyone of which could pull the small claims route and I would be in serious financial peril.
Yes I am responsible for the debt, the reason for contracting with Stonepoint was to try to negotiate a lower repayment amount back, I don't see where that is done Trying to get anyone in a management position or a serious answer other than "Yes you need to come up with an additional $400 a month, and thats just for ONE account.

I was guaranteed my debt being paid off and saving me $7000 to may ~$680/m. I paid $1200 to them, no service & only $30 refund. I need a FULL refund
David, their sign on representative LIED to me to get me to sign on pitching that it's a loan and my credit cards will be paid off with a savings of $7,000. ONLY to find out after signing up, and paid $572.45 for each of the 2 months I've been with them (total of $1,144.9), I'm paying retainer fees etc. This is total fraud. So I called and spoke with Linda to cancel my agreement due to fraudulent promises, I ONLY got a $30 refund. I am in TOTAL shock that this is what they did to me, a poor woman trying to survive.
My client # for their record was: Your Client ID Number: ***
They took out the auto withdrawal from my *** acct. $572.45 on the 25th of each month- first payment was on November 25th last payment December 25th (Christmas!!).
All I want is assistance in getting my full refund, and this company needs to be shut down. I can't believe that they are doing this to poor people who are seeking help to survive!!1

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund of $1,144.90 and they should cover my accounts for putting me in more debt with interests and late fees that they have caused.

I got my refund of all the money Stonepoint Legal Group took from me. Thank you so much Revdex.com, you are a life saver!!! I am at peace.

I signed with this company 8/2018. I was current on all of my bills. They told me not to pay them any longer. Now going to court and SLG wants more $.
I signed with them 8/2018. I was told the almost $400/ month would cover all of their fees as well as have all of my debt resolved within 4 years max. I was also told their fees would end in approximately 1 yr. I was never told additional funds would be needed. Now I'm being told additional funds are needed and am being taken to court by ***. They are wanting to freeze my joint account and possibly garnish my wage. Stonepoint is saying because *** is so aggressive , I'll need to settle with them at over $8000 over 4 months or over $10000 over 24 months. They resolved zero of my debt so far. I've gained nothing but more debt. They're now saying I'll need to pay another 8 months of fees to them. I only have $400 in my account with them. Currently, out of that $400 I'm paying back a *** loan, which is the full amount ( they didn't resolve any of the debt) and that leaves $200. They're fees eat all of that. How am I supposed to come up with more money??? I make $270 bi weekly. That's $540 per month. It was sold to me as what I agreed to pay monthly should cover it all. Now they're back tracking saying due to lack of funds they had to wait to resolve debts and now debts are pursuing litigation. They also said they'd communicate as to if I needed to show up in court and they actually missed a court date causing a default judgment. I've called them many times and I've sent all of my information in a timely manner. I've sent my $ and done everything they've asked with no result. They said in 8-10 months I'd see results. Nothing yet, but disappointment. I'm concerned because February 18 is when *** goes to my local court and wants to freeze my accounts and garnish my wage. If they do this, how can I pay them and Stonepoint on $540 a month? I've called for two weeks and now they saying my litigator is sick. I'm actually starting to panic because this just doesn't look like it ends well for me. I was current on all of my bills when I signed with Stonepoint, never having missed a payment. My payments were actually lower than what I'm now paying Stonepoint. I'm thinking I should've kept my good credit rating, kept paying on my credit cards for 20 yrs until they were paid off. This is my nightmare. I want Stonepoint to either resolve my debt as they've promised or give me all of my money back so I can put it towards filing bankruptcy, which is the only option they'll leave me with.

Desired Outcome

As I said above. I want them to either resolve/lower my debt as promised or give me ALL of my money back so I can file for bankruptcy as this is my only option.

Company has not delievered service agreed upon and is breaking FTC rules by charging fees in advance of any settlement or debt reduction
After 8 months of dealing with this company it became apparent this was a fraudulent company that is taking money illegally by charging advanced fees before any service is rendered what so ever. Giving the excuse that they are waiting for money to build up in a seperate account to make an offer to my creditors. When I asked how much was in there after the 8 months it was less what I have paid to them each month. So when I asked to terminate the program they sent me a fraction of the money I had paid in trying to claim that the fees were nonrefundable, which is in direct violation of the Federal Trade Commisions Rules dealing with telemarketers and Debt settlement set forth on Sept 27th 2010. Been trying to get my refund for 2 weeks now by talking to various associates and supervisors with the company who keep giving me the run around and acting like they arent going to pay me my refund back in full. Neither of my creditors have been contacted by them nor has any settlement or reduction to my debt been reached. But they are all too happy to take over 300 dollars from my account every month.

Desired Outcome

Refund in full of the entire amount ive paid into the company which at 8 months of paying 317.83 comes to 2542.64. Minus the amount of the paltry check they attempted to send me for 256 which comes to a total of 2286.64

We signed an agreement with Stonepoint Legal Group in August 2018 to resolve our debt issues with three credit cards. Per agreement we sent Stonepoint $668.79 per month to cover fees and negotiated credit card balances. Stonepoint was to send letters of representation to credit card holders, negotiate settlement amounts and represent us if legal action was taken. We have been faithful in our payments, contacted Stonepoint regularly for updates and always got the same answer "it is in negotiations". In August of 2019 we had law suits filed against us on behalf of one of the credit cards. We sent copies of all paperwork to Stonepoint and followed through with phone calls. No representation was ever provided and no follow through for action to be taken. Our trial dates are set for August of 2020. We finally realized we needed sound advice and help so contacted a debt collection agency in ***. Stonepoint has ruined our good credit rating as we always paid everything on time and they have destroyed our credibility through lawsuits. We are at rock bottom. We ended our agreement with Stonepoint on January 3,2020 per phone call and e-mail. We have also requested balance in our account returned to us. We feel Stonepoint took their fee but DID NOT provide services agreed upon and paid for. We would like to be reimbursed for fees paid of $4700. We paid them over $9000.

Desired Outcome

We would like to have a refund of half our fees and our credit rating restored.

Customer Response • Jan 27, 2020

Yes our complaint has been resolved and thank you for all your assistance.

Stonepoint took excessive amount of money out for their payment and they did not contact the creditors to resolve the debts.
From July 17th till November 1st I was getting $369 deducted from my checking account twice a month. And had over $320 deducted from each withdrawal for the company fees. They stated that they would talk to and send out official letters stating what they were going to do with my credit card debt. That did not happen. Still in November I was getting phone calls almost everyday. I talked to one credit card company stating that they have not received anything and didn't know about stonepoint. So now from my point of view they are just taking a large amount my money and not doing what they said they were going to do.

Desired Outcome

Full refund.

Failed to pay off creditors in a timely fasion and I now have judgements against me.
I signed a contract with Stonepoint Legal Group in February 2018 to consolidate my credit card debt. I've paid them $487.09/month for the last 19 months. In January 2019, I received a summons from *** stating that they were going to sue me for the amount owed. I immediately contacted Stonepoint Legal Group and explained the situation to them. They told me they spoke to *** and they agreed to settle the debt for $9,800. They said they would make *** a priority and start paying them right away. They then asked me to give them an additional $1,000 to get the process started with ***, which I did on 4/22/2019.

On 10/11/2019, *** started garnishing my wages. I contacted Stonepoint Legal Group and they advised me that they received the letter from *** on 10/5/2019 stating they were going to start garnishing my wages, but they failed to pass this information on to me. They are now taking roughly $1,000/month out of my paycheck, while I'm still paying Stonepoint $487/month.

To date, I have paid Stonepoint Legal Group roughly $10,000 and they have yet to settle any of my debt. Whenever I ask Stonepoint for specific information on who or what they have paid, they cannot give me direct answers. They are now not returning any of my phone calls - it's been 2 weeks since the last time I got them on the phone and I leave voicemails almost daily. The contract I signed with them states that they will represent me as my attorney, but they haven't done anything to stop this.

I had also received a summons from *** earlier this year and I'm not even sure if they're doing anything to resolve those. My fear is that *** will also begin to garnish my wages soon if they don't get paid. I know I have $2,400 sitting in a reserve account that could be used to pay off these creditors.

Desired Outcome

I want Stonepoint to let me know what they can do to stop *** from garnishing my wages. I would also like to know who/what they have paid thus far and what settlement agreements they have reached with each creditor and what they are doing to pay them. I want to know that the money I'm paying them every month is going towards my debt, and not being pocketed by Stonepoint. I would also like a return phone call in a timely manner.

We have resolved this matter to the clients satisfaction

This company failed to provide a service and took a bunch of my money in the mean time.
In December of 2018, I signed up with Stonepoint Legal Group to settle my debts. When I signed up, I was told a certain amount of money would be put aside to pay my debts and I would have a $50 charge taken out for legal fees and an $11 charge taken out for admin fees(for collecting payment).

At the time I signed up, I was current with all of my debts. Being current with all my debts, I was hesitant to stop paying, but was advised by SPLG to do so.

Every two weeks I paid them $165. I did this for almost a year, thinking all of that money was being put back to pay my debts.

A month ago, I thought it was odd that I never heard from them and none of my debts were settled. So, I looked more into it and checked out "my bank account" that they had set up for me and there was $40 in there.

This whole year they have been taking out all of the money for fees and NOTHING has gone towards my debts.

SPLG has scammed me out of my money and hasn't even attempted to even settle the smallest debt that I have.

They tell me to call them and they won't discuss my account over email. They haven't refunded my money either. I want my money back and I want this nightmare behind me.

Desired Outcome

I would like the $3600 that I have paid you guys over the last year. I had faith that you would be settling my debts, not just taking my money.

Stone point legal Group has resolve this matter to my satisfaction I think the Revdex.com for their Support

they have twice taken payments that were not authorized. Causing overdrafts at my bank. They stole from mr!
I called to have them take my payment earlier in the month of October. They did draft my account early (14OCT19) for $596.35. And again on 17OCT19 for $596.35. The second draft was taken without my authorization. This is the second time this year, that this has happened. At the moment Im on hold again (30 min total so far). Im getting the run around on the phone trying to resolve this,.

This extra draft caused me to have a ($596.35) balance. My bank paid this item because I have overdraft protection. So now Im paying interest on this also. I will not be able to make my auto insurance payment until this is resolved. If Im pulled over and unable to show financial responsibility my car will be towed.

This company has stolen from me. And now I will be paying interest in perpetuity until they give me back why money, This transaction has obviously cleared my bank and they are telling me they have not yet received it.

Please help me?

Desired Outcome

I want a refund, monies necessary to cover overdraft fees or other fees incurred and I want my next payment excused! Not a deferral. That is, I do not want to make a payment and I do not want it to effect my account negatively.

Ido not accept it as they have not resolved anything! Perhaps they were referring to my previous complaint. I have not received any of the monies I lost due to overdraft fees. And I have submitted the documents they required. This xompany is acting unethically and should be held accountable!

Stonepoint Legal Group Response • Dec 09, 2019

We have agreed to a resolution that will resolve this issue.

I signed up with Stone Point Legal Group right before Christmas of 2018. I have been paying them for 11 months. When I called them, I was current on all of my debts. However, I was advised by them to stop paying all 6 of my debts. I did what they said and haven't paid any of them in 11 months. I started to feel weird when I was still getting letters and phone calls from creditors.

It was this month that I started to think that maybe I should ditch this company and figure it out on my own. So, I decided to contact Stone Point and cancel my relationship, I did this via email. They take days to get back to me and don't even address anything that I've said in my email.

I contacted Global Client Solutions, which is who manages their client's withdrawing. I logged into my account and saw there was $50. I have been paying them $330 a month for the last 11 months and the other money, they have been withdrawing with fees I didn't even know existed. They have settled ZERO debts and I don't even know if I'll see any of that money again.

What a joke and I have four children. I could have settled a lot of these debts on my own without Stone Point Legal Group. Run as fast as you can and settle these debts yourself.

I signed my contract in December 2018. Started making my payments of $650 a month. I did pause payments because my job transferred me back to ***, I had 3 payments on hold and resumed payments when I got caught back up. At the beginning of August 2019, I received a phone call from a company that I had setup to be negotiated with by Stonepoint. They advised me I need to make payments and so on. After checking my Stonepoint dashboard, all of the account showed 0% completed for resolution. After 8 months I would expect some sort of progress even if I had halted payments for a few months. But I guess I shouldn't have been surprised considering I hadn't received any sort of communication from Stonepoint with the exception of monthly newsletters and a few 'trying to reach you? emails, in which I was only told they wanted to verify mailing and phone number information. I setup my account to be cancelled around August 10th. The representative advised me I would be receiving a refund after the account was cancelled and to expect a check in 7-10 business days plus a confirmation email. I called back August 21st to verify the account was cancelled because I had no confirmation email. It was cancelled but the savings account wasn't cancelled for some reason and she would get it cancelled and my refund would be received the following week. Again, nothing. No emails or check. Called again on August 30th and the lady said she would push the refund through and to call back the following week if I hadn't seen anything via EFT back to my bank account for the trouble. Called Sept 6th, same thing hadn't been refunded.... called Sept 10th, still waiting to be refunded and still no confirmation email. This lady assured me the account would be refunded because she was pushing the account up to her supervisor. Still no emails or refund showing today on Sept 12th... this is ridiculous.
Product_Or_Service: Debt consolidation

Desired Outcome

Refund I would just like my money refunded in full, since there was no 'progress? showing on my accounts and for the multiple calls I've had to make to get my own money back.

Requesting all money refunded from this company. Paid around 2700 to this company and they didn't do anything for me.
My complaint is this company took my money and did absolutely nothing for me but waste my time. First draft was deducted twice on there error, never once called to do an evaluation of my account and when I called to ask they couldn't give me any explanation as to what they have done in three months. Finally called to cancel on 9/3 and was advised my refund of money in my savings account would be ACH'd back into my account in 7-10 days .. nope a check was mailed and I am still waiting . Very unhappy with this company, this is a complete waste of money.

Desired Outcome

Requesting all money paid to this company

Company has mailed me my $3000 refund, received today and deposited.

I really wanted to give no stars. Stonepoint pretty much ripped me off. They promised to pay off 8 credit accounts that I had. I started the process and was paying them over $300 a month. They never made any payments to my creditors and when I canceled the account with them they refused to reimburse me. They sent me a check for $9.99, out of the $1200 plus they stole from me. Now my credit is ruined, and I am unable to pay those accounts.
