Ariel Y, assisted after hiccups with my initial interview. Two Follow-up calls were handled thoroughly & professionally - ALL questions answered. It’s pleasing to have competence in times of stress. Gov’t would’ve attached my Soc Security ck. until age 92. :(
Thank you, Ariel

Spoke to Ariel Y. Very precise, professional and courteous. It was a pleasure speaking to her.

Spoke with Ariel on the phone regarding my loan consolidation. Very professional and she answered all my questions. Happy to be able to take advsntage of this service, as I sorely need it.

nelnet is saying this company is fraudulent and doesn't have the power to substantiate their claims.
-100/10

Lupe B helped me through the process. She made it easy for me to understand and answered all my questions I was very happy with the customer service. Top notch!!

So far I have found the process to be going well. I probaly could have done this myself, but It is better to have a professional take care of the change over in paper work from nine loans to one. Preston and Allison Howard have been helpful. Maybe five stars when it is moved over.

Thank you Kirby for your great assistance. Hopefully everything goes through for me cause I sure do need it to. But I will highly recommend you all to friends and family. Keep up the great work and may god bless yall..

When I got this call it went to my voicemail, which I never get to after. Luckily I called back and everyone who I spoke to was friendly and they would explain anything I didn't understand. They made the process easy for me and we're always updating me on any information by email. I appreciate everyone who took the time to speak to me and help me out because, now I will be paying $16 a month when before it was $80 and will pay less than what my loan was with navient. Thank you so much! Allison H

On 9/16 I called to ask a few questions regarding my loan and instead of them being answered an employee authorized my cancellation and a refund of my money without my consent or agreement to do so.

p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica} This client was spoken to 4 times and explained to why we could not assist her by our agent Anthony. Upon further investigation, our processing department came to the conclusion that her student loans are not eligible for any programs offered through the Department of Education. Client got upset with him because he explained to her why we could not assist and also explained how if we can not assist all monies paid would be refunded. She called in multiple times and was told multiple times this same answer by 3 different people. She was very impatient and rude and would not let Anthony speak while he explained. She would not let him answer. He tried to answer her questions but she would keep talking above him. A refund has already been processed and sent over to the client in the form of physical check.

Customer Response • Sep 18, 2019

I was contacted by Cameron S and informed that after one payment I would then be out of default. After three consecutive payments I reached out to the organization to gather more information and after speaking to Anthony G about my concerns he then interrupted me by saying my first name 3 times and informing me that he was going to cancel my application to the department of education and I’d be receiving a refund. After informing him that I was not authorizing the cancellation, he set the phone down and refused to discuss with me anything further. After a few minutes of being ignored, I called back and spoke to Ariel J about my application and she then re submitted it after Anthony G chose to cancel it for me with no explanation.

Calls insisting I pay a student loan. I do not have one, I never took out any loan. Refuses to provide proof. Refuses to remove my contact info. Fraudulent harassment calls to try and take money and identification under false pretenses

We do sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding! Our legal team has taken your number and sent it to our marketing firm so they can place it on their do not call list. They will be sending you our marketing firm's direct contact information in case you do want to follow up with them.

Keep in mind that our goal here at SLFA is to help people achieve financial freedom. America's Student Loan problem is becoming an epidemic, and our services provide borrowers the tools to navigate and strategize their repayment. We will never make any attempts to take anybody's money. Any clients that are making payments to SLFA are being provided full services that will significantly benefit them.

You may send any future correspondence to *** as well.

Kindly,

SLFA

Thank you to the representative who helped me log into my federal aid site and she informed me about my payment options. I was paying $65 dollar a month and this company got my payments to $0 a month. If that lady never left me a voicemail on my mobile cell phone , I would have been kept paying navient $65 every month. I recommend yall to my family and friends . God Bless !

I have been contacted by Student Loan financial assistance in the form of ringless voicemail with a pre-recorded message, which is a violation of the TCPA, a federal telecommunications law. I attempted to notify their registered agent to begin settlement negotiations and the mail was returned, there was no one by that name at the address provided on the LLC page. I attempted to send notification to the business address listed on the LLC page and it was returned. I have also reached out via email and have not been reached out to as of yet. The email was opened the same day I sent it.

We have been engaged by this individual via email and have corresponded with him to handle his complaint. We do not do any internal marketing and outsource all marketing to third parties. He has been given the right company to complain to.

Customer Response • Sep 02, 2019

The use of a third party marketing company does not absolve you from liability under federal law. The email also was ignored until the complaint was submitted to the Revdex.com. I have responded to the email sent to me.

p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica} We have been informed by the marketing vendor that the Telephone number in question had been entered on one of their websites inquiring about Student Loan forgiveness, they engaged the number and transferred the call to us. We provided contact info of this marketing company to the consumer for consumer to engage direct with them, as we do not do any marketing internally. We also execute non liability and indemnification agreements with all our marketing providers to protect us from such things as this. The only solution is to engage the marketing company direct for any complaints, as we do not do outbound marketing and only show on inbound call from this Telephone number.

Customer Response • Sep 03, 2019

Use of a third party marketing service does not absolve you of liability. As I have attempted to send US mail to SLFA's listed registered agents address previously and it has been returned as not at that address, please provide me a current and valid address so that I may have legal process served. SLFA has broken the law and I will ensure SLFA is held responsible for it.

I was contacted by this organization to consolidate my student loans. They told me that I needed to pay an upfront fee by making 3 payments of $348 and then they would consolidate my student loans. They assured me that they worked with the department of education and that after making these payments then my loans would be consolidated and I would have cheaper monthly payments and my loans would eventually be forgiven.
I was a little hesitant at first but I was assured over the phone that at any point I could reverse the process and I would be refunded for my payments. I eventually made the first payment of $348. After a week I contacted the department of education and was told that they had never heard of this organization. I then noticed that my student loans had not changed since signing up with this organization and the current holder of my student loans had not been contacted by this organization. In other words: They had done nothing but take my $348. I decided that I did not feel comfortable with the organization. So I contacted them and asked for a reversal as they had promised me upon signing up. They told me that the funds would not be reversed and that they were keeping my $348.

We sincerely apologize for any misunderstandings during your enrollment here at SLFA. Our legal team is currently reviewing any and all phone calls between you and any Agents you may have spoken to between August 12th and now. Within the documents you signed electronically on August 12th, it states throughout multiple times that SLFA is not under contract by the Department of Education. However, any and all programs you and your Federal Student Loans are placed into are directly through the Department of Education. In your case, the Pay As You Earn Program was the most beneficial program for your situation. This program is an income based program offered by the Department of Education which falls under the William D. Ford Act passed by Congress. Keep in mind that the initial payment of $348 you had made does not go towards your student loan, as clearly stated within the signed documents, but instead will start a Direct Consolidation which essentially combines all your loans into one and transfers them from your current loan servicer, not to us, but to another Federally Contracted Loan Servicer. This consolidation takes a total of 30-60 days to complete, which is why your loans appear as if it is still with your current loan servicer. Your consolidation should be completed by the end of September.

As our refund policy states, if for whatever reason the application for consolidation or any income driven repayment option is denied, a full and complete refund is issued out to the client. Now, again, our legal team will review any contact between yourself and any Agents here at SLFA. A refund is not denied to you, however it is too soon in the process to issue a refund as we are waiting for the results of the consolidation!

After the review is completed, if we find that our Agents stated anything incorrectly or misrepresented SLFA, a full refund will be issued out to you and disciplinary action will be taken with the Agent in question.

Kindly,

SLFA

It seems that this organization was unclear in describing over the phone what the services of this organization is. The SLFA withdraws 3 payments of $348 which is a total of $1044 from my account and with that money they consolidate my student loans? Last week I filled out a form online and consolidated my student loans myself and it took me about 20 minutes. If I would have better understood that I was paying $1,044 for the SLFA to fill out a form that I could have filled out myself in 20 minutes then I definitely would not have agreed to making any of these payments.

I believe that the services of this organization were not made clear to me and I am still unclear as to where the $348 from my bank account went and what services that my money went to paying for and where it is currently being held.

Student Loan Financial Assistance Response • Sep 18, 2019

Upon further review of the case, this client had indeed signed documents making him aware that SLFA is not a government organization, but a document preparation company in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Department of Education programs. However, we did issue a full refund to the client and cancelled any and all applications, as the client was not comfortable moving forward. Many student loan borrowers apply for these programs themselves, but far less actually get accepted into the most beneficial program. SLFA helps navigate borrowers through all of their options, and ensures they are enrolled into the best possible program for their situation.

I have received multiple unwanted solicited robocalls from Student Loan Financial Assistance LLC . I have a total of 4 calls in my phone logs from Student Loan Financial Assistance LLC . These calls are a violation of the TCPA and Student Loan Financial Assistance LLC has been sent a email from me but refuses to answer or act upon the demand letter. I want all to know that yes, Student Loan Financial Assistance LLC most certainly does make unwanted calls and refuses to acknowledge emails. I have logged multiple calls from them. You have not yet responded with contact information for your legal/compliance official. The information listed with the California Secretary of State is inaccurate and I have filed a consumer fraud complaint. I have also filed a complaint with the FCC. This complaint is my final attempt to ask you to connect me with you legal/compliance officer. I do not take TCPA violations lightly as you are breaking the laws set forth by Congress! I am on the national Do Not Call registry since 2004 so you willfully called me me and for each violation it is $1500.00. I expect a reply from you.

Student Loan Financial Assistance Response • Aug 26, 2019

After forwarding your complaints and claims to our Legal Department, they have initiated a full review and audit of the communication records between you and SLFA. Keep in mind that as this is an Advertising Issue, our Marketing Department has agreed to fully cooperate and may be providing input as well.

We apologize if unwanted communication occurred over between yourself and SLFA! Our goal is to provide federal student loan borrowers the tools to achieve financial freedom, and not to participate in any advertising strategies that would fall outside of TCPA compliance as enacted by Congress.

If for whatever reason our Legal Team does uncover evidence of TCPA violations, the Legal Team will be contacting you for discussion of settlement. Please allow a few days for a full review to complete!

Kindly,

SLFA

This is my final notification. I have updated the demand letter sent to your company via email to now include the additional robocalls I have received from your company. If I am not contacted by the end of Monday, August 26, 2019, I will be filing suit in Montgomery county, Texas, against your company. I have names, addresses, transcripts of every phone call, and the email responses where you have refused to provide the legal/compliance officers direct information. This will be a part of the evidence for the court. I’ve included in that email the additional employee contacts that were given during your Robo calls to my private cell phone. Also note that TCPA court cases are awarded full amounts (not discounted settlements) plus reimbursement of my court fees in Texas courts. I will also be asking for an additional amount to cover my investigator cost. Please be aware that we have found an additional 12+ other persons who have received calls from you and will be sharing all of the information my investigator found is settlement is not reached by end of business day August 26, 2019. Additionally, I would like a direct email, phone number, and address to your CEO, legal/compliance officer, and registered agent.

We have provided the marketing company information that transferred you to us, so they feel there is nothing more we can provide to you. Our stance is we do not do marketing of any kind and only rely upon third parties which provide us release of liability along with indemnification over such potential violations. We are confident the information you seek of why you were called can be retrieved if you contact the correct company we provided. We will consider this matter closed, as we have no more information to provide other than the correct company to contact, which we have done.

Respectfully,

SLFA

SLFA LLC has yet to provide an accurate physical address to which US postal service mail will be received. They continue to skirt the issue and refuse to provide what should be easily obtainable by customers and prospective customers alike. The address on their website, as well as the Revdex.com website, has been consistently returned by USPS with “return to sender- wrong address”. This is completely unacceptable. A reputable company should be willing to disclose an address for communications.

In April SLFA reached out to me and told me if I would like their assistance to help pay off my financial aid loan. In April I paid them $200 which was my first payment in May I made my second payment of $200. Shortly after that I received a letter in the mail from the Department of education saying that they were going to garnish my wages for non-payment. I called the department of education and explained that I was paying with SLFA and they told me that the payment of $400 was not showing up. I called SLFA and they told me to wait another month and a half for the payment to show up because of it took three months. Now we are in August and I still do not have my $400 or the payment is still not showing up. I have called I have emailed I have left voicemails for them and they have yet to help me. About a month ago I spoke with a gentleman on the phone and he told me that they were relocating their office so that’s why no one was answering the phone however he could not answer any of my questions that I asked him he also said he would have someone reach out to me and never did.

We spoke to client regarding all her concerns 08/13/2019 She did not want to listen to any status update only wanted her refund that was in deed requested 08/14/2019 per the clients request of cancellation of her application 08/13/2019 at 3:54 pm Pacific Standard time

It was not enough time to send out the refund request that was told to Mrs Ramirez yesterday it would be issued on Wednesday 08/14/2019 first thing in the morning by the billing department . She was also explain the process on when to expect the refund and the manner it would be arriving That would be thru mail form in 7/10 business days thru check form .

Thank you

I was contacted by Student Loan Services offering w/ an offer to lower/forgive my Parent Plus Loan. They took all my information & told me I would definitely qualify for the program. Even though I told her I was pretty sure that we had to use "household income" not my personal income and that we couldn't count grown children, she insisted it didn't matter & I qualified.

What they offered me was to make three payments of $298 that would be applied to the loan, then there would be no further payments due unless my income changed. They did a direct withdrawl of 2 of the 3 payments, but I was still getting request for a regular payment from Student Loan Services(government office). That's what alerted me that something was amiss.

I called Student Loan Services (government) because I THOUGHT that's who I was dealing with and was told that this group was not with Student Loan Services (government) but was a Third party which had not been disclosed to me. However they told me that there had been an application submitted by this company and was denied because I didn't meet the criteria.

So I contact Student Loan Financial Services (this 3rd party business) and requested a full refund of my money according to their instructions. I have made 3 requests via email (AS INSTRUCTED) and made two phone calls. I am getting NO response from them.

I would like your help in getting my refund.

Thank you,
Margaret

We spoken to Mrs. on several occasions and attempted to explain the type of student loan she received (parent plus ) and the processing of her application. Due to that fact her interest rate was 7% and the only Income Driven repayment plan she would be qualified for was the INCOME CONTINGENT PROGRAM based on her family size and gross income . We also provide an agreement sign and dated that explains we are a third party company on page 2 paragraph 1. The more information we provided to her the more upset she would get and continue to hung up and disconnect. She stressed on need for assistance. She was very upset on the parent plus scenario and why it had occurred that way. We then proceed to explain we had no control on the type of loans she received and suggested to review her original paper work given to her by The Department of Education for her records. When the NSF took place on 06/03/2019 occured and automatic email was sent to the client and stress on a call back thru telephone form in order to have our Customer Service Department go over a better payment plan with her. We never heard back That is when upper management team placed an NSF status on the account and possible refund status

Due to the status on the account we typically review the NSF status in a timely matter but it can take up to two to three weeks time to reach the clients and provide them a status on the application and attempt to work with them.

We never received any request for refund thru telephone form if so we would of issued the refund when requested. We have requested a FULL REFUND FOR HER today 07/10/2019 for the COMPLETE dollar amount of $596.00

The refund will be processed and sent out thru regular mail form please allow 7/10 business days to arrive to her physical address provided per her enrollment .

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused Mrs. and unfortunate delay and misunderstanding.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards

DO NOT CALL BACK OR ANSWER THESE PEOPLE! I received a voicemail from *** saying there was something wrong with my student loans. I immediately called back because I was concerned. They pretend to be part of federal student loans and lure you in by stating that you are eligible for further programs and that you need to complete an application to get lower payments. They make it sound urgent. I stupidly went along with this. They are predatory and are tapping into the anxiety and frustrations around student loans. Myself, as well as many other Americans are struggling with this. DO NOT LET THEM SUCK YOU IN! These people are shady. If you need help with student loans contact your student loan servicer or ***.
