We have successfully resolved the complaint with [redacted] as of November, 26 2014.
We contacted Ms. [redacted] immediately after receiving her complaint to resolve her complaint.  Per Ms. [redacted] she chose to use the Revdex.com primarily as a direct communication channel to the...

owners of Student Zoom; as a business owner herself, she understands the value of direct feedback.  Ms. [redacted] acknowledged that there was no proof of a correlation between her credit card fraud and Student Zoom.  However, we are currently working together to investigate her concern and help resolve her issue.

in reference to complaint ID [redacted],
My intent in posting my complaint to the Revdex.com was to reach the owner of Student Zoom without attracting attention to those who would monitor who gets to his voicemail.  I have accomplished that purpose, and since there is no way for me to prove that it was an employee of this business that made the fraudulent credit card purchases, I would like to take down this complaint.  I have let them know, they have responded, and I don't need this posting any more.  Please take it down.  Thank you!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Problem: I went through student zoom to get student loan payment down and after charging me $600 fee I decided to have them drop for $10 a month. After 8 months it went up to $ 90 a month without any notice. They said they would review it and when I was laid off I April I never heard from them. There was many phone calls from them with no messages and never could return call because the business had on phone they couldnt. This isn't the biggest ripoff I have ever seen and they should be banned from doing this to people
Desired Outcome: Lower my payments because I can't pay it

Ms. [redacted] enrolled with Student Zoom in February 2015 to file and process a federal student loan consolidation.  We began processing her application the same month; however, her service had not been finalized as she had returned to school full-time.  Ms. [redacted] expressed that she became frustrated when the $20 payment was drafted prior to the completion of her service.  We have determined the $20 payment was drafted in error and have provided a refund.

Review: I used Student Zoom to help me consolidate parent plus loans I had for my grown children's education. Loans were in my name and my husbands name. I am the one in the household who handles all of this. Student Zoon assured me that they would be able to get my loans forgiven. I was told that I would have to pay 2 one time fees of around $599. I chose not to stretch the payments out. I was told they would work on my husbands loans first . They deducted tge fee and then they would work on my loans. Because I did it this way they said I would get a $100 check as back showing that I had referred my husband. I paid the fees. I gave them my credit card. I began noticing that every month they were charging me a $21 fee. This was NEVER authorized or even discussed with me. I called and asked them about it and they said they had explained it to me and I agreed to it. I cancelled m y credit card to stop the fees but somehow they keep charging me the monthly fee. I have disputed the fees. Worse of all my husbands loan was not forgiven. I am making payments in my loan that are a bit lower and my husbands loan is not being paid but just gathering interest. So they really didn't do anything for us for the $1300 we paid them and the monthly fee they are charging us that we had no idea about. Both of us are retired taking care if a autistic elder child and can not afford this. I feel we were taken advantage of. Student Zoom misrepresented themselves. Unfortunately we did refer some people to them. Due to our situation, this company could not really help us and they knew that. For months they gave us a run around. I told them that I wanted them not to represent us because they did not help us. They need to stop charging my credit card. They did not deliver what they said on my husbands loan so that money should be reimbursed. We will contact student loan services abd work out payment.Desired Settlement: Give us our money back and stop charging us a fee for services you have not provided.

Review: About two and a half months ago I contacted a company in order to figure out information on my student loans and try to get more time allotted to me to pay them off. At the time, I didn't know this, but I was directed to Student Zoom. I was told that I was eligible consolidate my loans as well as I was eligible for the "pay as you earn" program and I was very excited. Shortly after, the representative then told me that in order to consolidate my loans I could either pay a one time fee of $599 over the phone or I could pay $100 initially that day, and then they would take out $200 each month starting in October 15th, until December. I agreed to pay in installments. After I got off of the phone with the representative I was sent an email that told me that I had to fax a few documents over to them. One was a form that they had created and the other was 2 of my most recent pay stubs. I faxed them this information & I received a conformation email from them. So the 15th of October came around they took out $200 from my account like they said they would, but then, two weeks later on October 29th, when I got paid again, they proceeded to take out another $200 from my account. I was told that they were taking out $200 each month until December. I was misinformed. I also tried to call them several times about this situation only to find that this company never answers their phone. I have left several messages & not one of them has been returned. One of their automated voice machines directed me to another number. When I called that number they told me that they are not very familiar with student zoom, but they only know that it's a third party business. With that being said, I proceeded to tell the other companies representative that I had been charged $500 by student zoom already to consolidate my loans,to be told that I would not have to pay on my student loans until next year, only to find out that I could have gotten my loans consolidated for free & have a loan payment.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of all the money that I have payed out to this company. I was directed to this company somehow, and they did not give me the proper guidance. I now have a student loan that needs to be paid monthly after I was told that I would not have to pay on my student loan for a year. $500 has been taken from me so far from this company and I feel as though I was mislead n the sense that the representative told me that the money would be taken out once a month, when in fact it was taken out 2 times a month.

Review: I was looking for a third party to file and help me discharge me on my loans. I saw the website to Student Zoom [redacted] was my representative that help me sign and file my forms to start the program. when I faxed him my documents of Authorization of giving my information and paystubs I called him to make sure that he received everything. than I kept on getting emails saying we need your paystubs I called [redacted] back to tell him and he kept on saying to ignore those emails that they have my paystubs and documents, its already four months from when I started to be with them and in those four months I have sent more then eight faxes of my paystubs and calling Student Zoom to make sure they received them in these four months I have been charged at least up to two thousand dollars to this date of 10/07/2015 I need to cancel the contract I don't care if I don't get my money back I just don't want to be in association with Student Zoom I feel scammed and upset that I did not get the help I thought I was going to receive so please if I can get help here please I am a father of two kids and married my family and I have to struggle so much do to the fact that when we want to go out as a family my money from my bank is gone because Student Zoom will automatically withdraw from me.Desired Settlement: to get out of the contract with Student Zoom and all the money token from me that was used to help me in a way.

Response:

Hello, I'm responding to this complaint in an attempt to reach you. Our system is highly sophisticated and those emails you are receiving are automated unfortunately if we are not logging the receipt of the faxes the system is not updated to stop sending the emails. My sincere apologies for the confusion and frustration. I can assure you we are not a scam, we work with 1000s of clients and have seen very good results. One issue here may be that [redacted] is no longer with the company and the faxes you were sending were not being viewed. This is not your fault it is ours and I'll get to the bottom of it. If you would please email me directly at j.[redacted]@studentzoom.com I'd like to schedule a time to talk. Thank you.

Review: I was contacted by this company stating they were taking over my student loan consolidation payments. The contact was unsolicited and I assumed they were taking over from the previous company I was working with [redacted]. I am not sure how they received my information but I was recently made aware that all the monies they collected from me for my loan payments has never been received by the lending agency and they are now contacting me stating my account is in arrears despite me making payments on a monthly basis to Student Zoom. I never contracted with them to provide any service and each time I attempt to contact them I received Voicemail I leave a message and am never contacted back. I have had to cancel my debit card and dispute ALL charges placed by this company as they do not represent the Fedloan department and have not forwarded any of my monies to their intended recipient. I want a full refund of all payments this company has received from me or I will be looking into filing a class action suit as this is some type of scam.Desired Settlement: REFUNDN OF MONIES PAID TO THIS COMPANY

Review: I've called and emailed several times about my contract and have not been responded to by email or phone.Desired Settlement: I'd like a full refund ASAP.

Response:

Good morning,

This company was recommended to me to help me with my student loans. I made a call and got a machine saying they would return my call in 48 hours. A week later a got a call from a representive, [redacted] ext 3606. There is no way to dial an extension when you call the company. [redacted] and I spoke regarding my student loans. He was given all my personal information and took me to send him via email a copy of my loan statement so he could review and he would call me back that day after reviewing. November 16th I sent him a copy via email of my statement. I did not hear back from him so on November 18th I sent him an email asking if he was able to review my loan. On November 18th, he replied he had and asked me a good time to call. I told him after 5:30pm. He never called. November 20th, I sent him an email saying I haven't heard from him. He never replied or called. Again, on November 21st I emailed him twice and never heard back. From that day I have been calling the company's phone number every day multiple times a day and never get a live person. I have left at least one message every day. Their machine says they will return your call in 48 hours. It's now November 24th and I still have not heard from anyone. I gave a representative of there company all my personal information and have not heard back. This is very unprofessional and concerning.

Review: I was called numerous times and told I must sign a contract immediately because the government program on which the loan consolidation was based was likely to end at any time. The way the sales person worded the presentation made it sound as if he was working with a government program that consolidated loans for students, and he stated that he could guarantee payments of $200 per month for a limited term. I have come to learn that these "programs" are the same ones I can access myself, and his organization is in no way affiliated with any government programs.Desired Settlement: this is a scam, and I want the $59 I paid refunded immediately.
