Sun Valley would like to address the? concerns Mr.[redacted] brought up from his last responseSun Valley Motors is only responsible, per DMV, to collect on current registration not for any advance registration.2.? Mr[redacted] registration has been completed and mailed to him.? What it looks like was he went to the DMV and paid $to get a copy, prior to waiting for the registration in the mail

As Mr[redacted]'s attachment has shown, he had signed to decline the cancellation option instead of purchasing the cancellation optionHowever, we have come to a resolution with Mr[redacted] in which both Sun Valley Motors and Mr[redacted] are in agreementMr[redacted] left Sun Valley Motors after the resolution in pleasant terms?

Company states: This vehicle did not have these problems prior to the sale. That is why we make it a policy to have the consumer test drive every vehicle. This vehicle was sold as is. We went above and beyond and gave her $2,500.00 to help her. We are not providing anything further.

In response to the customer's 2 concerns, Sun Valley Motors sells our cars with the best of intentions. We have been in business for over 6 years and have sold over 1000 vehicles. In regards to the 1st concern with the knob, it appears that the customer has received the knob. As for the navigation,...

the vehicle is sold As-Is. Regarding the 2nd concern, when it comes to miles, we guarantee the miles on your vehicle is correct. We guarantee every vehicle sold. We have never had complaints from prior customers and financial institutions in regards to mileage. All our vehicles have clear titles and accurate mileage. In response to the customer's trade in [redacted], unfortunately, the miles advertised was a clerical error made during the online advertising process, in which the error has since been corrected.

As a legal adult, Mr. [redacted] willingly signed the vehicle contract, knowing the vehicle was sold As-Is and that the contract was legally binding. He is fully responsible for fulfilling his purchase contract obligation. Sun Valley Motors have stated to him that we will assist with financing the vehicle that he has purchased. Per Mr. [redacted]'s signed contract, his payment is due December 26, 2015. If his payment obligation is not fulfilled by the due date, we will be in a position to pursue full payment. However, we are willing to assist Mr. [redacted] to make his vehicle purchase a pleasant one for the holidays.

Sun Valley would like to address the  2 concerns Mr.[redacted] brought up from his last response.1. Sun Valley Motors is only responsible, per DMV, to collect on current registration not for any advance 2017 registration.2.  Mr. [redacted] registration has been completed and mailed to him.  What it looks like was he went to the DMV and paid $20 to get a copy, prior to waiting for the registration in the mail.

Sun Valley Motors sells our vehicles with the best of intentions and sells the vehicles As-Is. We have no knowledge of the customer coming to Sun Valley Motors to report issues with his vehicle after purchase. According to the customer's complaint to the Revdex.com, the issues with his vehicle had occurred...

a full year after his purchase. As such a lengthy time has passed, we are unable to assist in resolving his vehicle issues. After purchase, it is the customer's responsibility to maintain the upkeep of his vehicle.

I want to be accomdated I'm out of a car and out of 4,000 dollars sunset valley motors are crooks they held information about the car away from me plus I told them something was wrong with the car and they told me it's ok. Motors left many voice mails over the course of two months in regards to the balance. Mr. [redacted] as he stated in his complaint was well aware that the vehicle payment was over two months overdue. An email was sent to Mr. [redacted] on the 2nd of May informing him of the delinquent balance. Sun Valley Motors is not obligated in any way to inform customers of their overdue balances, however, we have tried to contact both Mr. [redacted] and his daughter after the first monthly payment was overdue. If Mr. [redacted] or his daughter had returned our messages and contacted us to explain her financial situation, we would have been more than happy to extend the monthly balances before the repossession took place.

The completed registration card with tags was mailed out to Mr. [redacted] during the first week of May and was sent back to us by mail due to incorrect address, in which we have recently mailed it out again. plate. We would have been more than accommodating to order a new set of plates for Mr. [redacted] if he asked at time of the sale and paid for license plates. We are only a facilitator for the Department of Motor Vehicles, in which we only collect fees due to the DMV and we do not collect a profit for fees of any kind for registration. If the Department of Motor Vehicles charged Mr. [redacted], it is most likely for the upcoming 2016-2017 registration fees, which is the responsibility of the owner of the vehicle. Once the registration is paid for and completed by Sun Valley Motors with the DMV, any future registration charges is the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner, even if there is a lienholder.

My wife and I went to Sun Valley Motors, just browsing for a vehicle and the staff went above and beyond to show us the variety of cars available within our budget. We looked a few more cars at other lots, but ended up coming back to find a great vehicle within our budget. The finance manager explained everything in detail and made the entire process go smoothly. Thank you for the great purchase Sun Valley Motors!

Review: We made the mistake of buying a car here late last year. The day we bought the car the check engine light came on before my daughter got it home. Found out it had a bad catalytic converter which cost $700 to replace. Big ordeal to try to get them to take care of it. My daughter, a single mom, has since had financial problems & got behind on the payments. Not only was she not contacted to try to get the payments, they never contacted me since I'm the primary on the contract. Yesterday her car got repossessed from her work. We called to see where my daughter could get her personal property out of the car. Her kids car seats & other kids items along with some of her personal items. When contacted, we spoke to [redacted], he told my daughter "oh now you're worried about the car payment" & then hung up on her & would tell neither her of myself where she could collect her personal things. Read the reviews on their own website. They're overwhelmingly bad!! From service to the cars themselves being poor at best in quality. They need to be investigated.Desired Settlement: At this point since the vehicle has been repossessed & again as the primary in the contract, I was never contacted about payments being behind to see what could be done. The car was for my daughter who lives in CA. We'd like the remainder of the contract cancelled as paid in full. We don't want the car back as it eats oil and will need major repairs to fix. Which neither my daughter or I can afford. They can resell the car, which they will. Whatever is left should be cancelled.

Review: I purchased a car from sun valley motor's two months ago, the salesman name was **. Everything went okay until my wife noticed the front tire kept going flat, we asked for them to take a look at it and all they did was put air in it. For the next three days it kept going flat so we took it to a shop to get it fixed and that's when they told us the rim was busted. We called ** about it and he said that we must have did it but we pushed the issue and after riding on a spare for more then a week it finally got fixed. NOW THE MAIN ISSUE IS, I went to DMV to see why I haven't received my tags yet and they told me because the car dealership put the car in my name but didn't pay for the tag's so I had to pay $20 for new plates and they gave me tags that are only good until August and then they want me to pay another $127 for tags again. In my contract it says my down payment covered transfer fees, plates, tags, ext. We have contacted the dealership once again and ** just brushed me off and said it's my problem they aren't going to fix it. I paid all my fees so I shouldn't have to pay again, I feel they are upset they had to replace the rim so now they are just trying to get their money back by not paying for my tags which I paid for when I purchased the vehicleDesired Settlement: They need to finish the job and pay for my tags, I shouldn't have to pay again when it states in my contract what I have paid for. And I would like them to reimburse me for the $20 I had to pay to he dmv

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: no I just got this car from them which means I should have gotten 2017 tags, they have been jerking me around since day one. I have called several dealerships and they have also confirmed this about the tags. And I have done some more research into them and it seems like they do this to allot of people. I paid my fees for tags and not 2015/2016 tags. They are just trying to get extra money because they had to replace my rim, the DMV clearly stated they didn't do their job. They need to fix this or I'll be taking legal action

The issue was revolved between [redacted] and sun valley motors ..the finance company did not cancel my loan thank you

After being turned down by two dealerships prior to stopping by Sun Valley Motors, I was extremely discouraged and doubtful that I would be getting a car today. With a low credit score, and a new job of only 3 months, I was running on fumes and prepared for the worst. I have to say that I had NO IDEA what a surprise I was in for since I was told within about thirty seconds of walking in there how difficult it would be to get me into a car. It was extremely suspenseful, but I could not believe how hard they worked to get me financed! I would defintely recommend Sun Valley Motors to anyone who needs a car (especially if you have challenged credit and need help.) Thank-you guys so much! I really do appreciate everything you did for me!

Review: I bought a car 4/29/13 from Sun Valley Motors. The car almost immediately broke down and the warranty I had purchased was not going to cover it. I cancelled my warranty of $1800 and my gap insurance of $795. I contacted both companies to see when the refund was sent back to dealer and the amounts. Both companies verified that they sent dealer entire policy amounts which total $2595. The gap insurance of $795 was mailed 10/31/13 and has been cashed. The warranty account was refunded $1800 and was mailed to dealer 7/9/13. Wells Fargo dealer services was only sent $1305.00. and Sun Valley Motors has kept the rest trying to say they didn't receive full refunds when I have already verified from both companies that the full amounts were sent to the dealer. I have spoken with the office manager Rebecca several times over this past year. This has been ongoing for almost a year now.Desired Settlement: I would like $1290.00 sent to Wells Fargo Dealer Services immediately to be applied to my loan.

Review: TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!I recently bought a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder from sun valley motors at $13,999. I put down $5,500 along with the offer of $300 for the trade in of my current vehicle. A $5,800 down payment on a car which is ending in costing me over $5,000 in repairs alone! Upon test driving the nissan, everything seemed okay. Not that I was able to go very far since the tank was on E. Before getting halfway to the freeway home to woodland, it had a hard time changing gears. We picked up our two kids and noticed now that the vehicle would not go into reverse! The next morning I decided to have a mechanic perform a diognostic, come to find out I had lost the reverse gear and was loosing the forward gears! I was informed that I needed a new or repaired transmission, a $4,000 job. I immediately informed the seller of the vehicle and he had me come down to the dealership to "help me out". I then was directed to work with Hector. Hector informed me and belittled me about the "as-is"policy & re-wrote my contact as if I bought the vehicle today (instead of the day, before which I had actually bought it) so he could sell me a warranty which would cover $3,000 of the cost. He took the money from my down payment to purchase that warranty. He also offered to rent me my previous vehicle for the time being. No where in the paperwork did it specify how much exactly the warrantu would or would not cover. I then called Corner Stone, who said that only $2,500 would apply. After searching for the best deals, I decided to have my Nissan towed to a sacramento mechanic shop (at my expense). Even though Hector kept harrassing me to take it to his shop at [redacted] (which I refused) who I was told would work with MY budget. After the Corner Stone Warranty (hector sold me) & the mechanic company got in touch I was later informed that that Corner Stone denied my claim due to it being a "pre-existing problem" that was on the dealer to fix. They said there was no way that I had put that much damage on a car in less than 1 day. I immediately called back Hector and he said he would talk to his boss. After playing the run around game and having to constantly contact them, I was given three options... 1) $1,500 towards the issue and it get fixed at their shop and their shop only.2) Eliminate the bank and make my monthly payments with them 3)return the vehicle and loose out on $1,000 of my down payment. None of which I choose. He then offered me $2,000 and not a penny more or less and said I could pick it up on Thursday. We told the shop which my vehicle was still at, that we wanted to go fourth with the work. While under the car they noticed MORE issues! 1 broken strut and the other bent! Mechanic told me that the tire was barely hanging on and that he was surprised it hadn't flew off while driving! The brakes needed replacement and 3 of the 4 tires were bald. Now my once $4,500 job sky rocketed to $5,000+ I again notified Hector whose response was "Your just making me a laundry list". And refused to address any more issues and said it was sold as-is and to take the $2,000 or leave it. We took his pitty check and now I'm stuck with the remainder cost of repairs to get my vehicle back on the road. My advice to the next buyer is to do your research on not only the particular vehicle you are looking to purchase but to do your research on the dealership and the dealers themselves. Sunvalley is a dealership looking to scam you of your money, send you with a safety hazard of a vehicle and slap you in the face with therr "as-is" no warranty. I understand this is a business, but what I don't understand is how these people can go to sleep at night knowing that they scam people like myself who are barely getting by "as is " and whom were put at danger by this company and its faults. This company needs to be put under!Desired Settlement: I believe that Sunvalley Motors should remburse the total cost of repairs needed to get my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder running.

Review: MR [redacted] from the dealer made me sign a motor vehicle contract so I could get a loan from my bank.He emphasized that to get a loan ,I had to sign at 11different places on the yellow paper. On Monday 12/21/15 I went to my Golden One bank in Folsom to get a auto loan The loans officer was very helpful. He denied the loan because he informed me that this make and model car had transmission issue. He showed me the value of the car on KBB Used Car Guide. So now I can't finance the car.I immediate informed Mr [redacted]'s.He said he gonna cal me in 10 minutes which he never did .I called him several times. His only reply was to come and pick up the car .I made him clear that I was not able to finance it because my bank denied my application. I called [redacted] again this morning 12/22/15 at 10.35.[redacted]'s still wants me to pick up that car fully knowing the situation. He is giving me stress and and mental not helpful at all.I informed him again that I can't finance they car and I just needed my $1000 refund.I also told him that I never took possession of the car. When I first spoke to ** in his office in presence of my wife,I requested him show us the Carfax .He didn't do anythingDesired Settlement: Just refund my deposit of $1000 .

I purchased a car a few months ago and I appreciate all the work that Sun Valley Motors did. I was in a difficult situation with terrible credit and needed a car to get me to and from work. From the moment I contacted them, they did everything they could to get me financed and into a car I loved, with payments I could afford. The entire staff was friendly and overall I had a good experience here. Thanks!
