Corey and his team were polite and were very skillful at completing their job. Ira was a wealth of information and explained everything clearly. I would definitely recommend them.

The customer service has been above average. The quoted estimate was very competitive. Communication with Sunlight and Ira has been well above average. My expectations with the thoroughness of the "walk through" were exceeded. Highly recommended...

OK everyone, here is an update on the installation!....IT IS FINALLY COLD IN MY HOME!!!! Even the hottest room in my house is cool. That has never happened. Even in the winter, it has always been warmer in the TV room than the rest of my house. But not anymore!!!! I SINCERELY hope you all take the time to read this and that it influences your decision to go with Sunlight. My journey began months ago. I had several estimates prepared and in the process of doing so I realized that spray foam does work. Across the board, as described. The cost is relative to sq.ft so expect to pay around the same with any company. The issue with choosing a company based on ratings only isn't going to help you much in choosing the most qualified company. There is so much more that goes into this than simply a "chuck with a truck" spraying and praying. Unless you are given an opportunity to learn about spray foam, how do you even know it's correctly installed? How do you know you're getting the exact same application as is marketed? And what about cleanup? How do you know your spray foam even made a difference until the summer? Do you expect to have a detailed company report upon job completion to see exactly how much air you were leaking, or how often your AC cycles before and after?? Seems complicated, right? WRONG!!! Ira and Sunlight is the only company I found that performs such service(s). Ira is the most communicative contractor I have ever worked with. His crew is not only the most decorated and licensed company I found (check out the website, sunlight has more licensing than the DMV) but the crew...hands down the most organized and diligent group of professionals in this market. I can't imagine anyone has more certification and experience than Cory (he was the "General Patton" of the job and worked closely with his crew to ensure every detail went noticed) and when it came to the end, Cory did a walk through with me. I didn't even realize how thorough the cleanup was until he left. And then, I got my "blower door" report which numerically PROVED that you had a significant change in your attic, not just a subjective opinion that "you will notice a difference when it's hot" thus leaving you wondering. Bottom line: I believe that the CUSTOMER SERVICE and CARE concerning the quality of life for the customer and the families living in the home inspires Sunlight to be the BEST. Sunlight is also the only company I found that works with very significant commercial installations which leave NO room for mistakes and excuses...big contracts...but no job is too small. The degree of qualification and service was extended to me all the same. Thank you Ira! Thank you Cory and crew!! And thank you Derrick for doing the estimate with me, and not just taking a measurement and leaving like the other 5 companies did...one company didn't even go into the attic. Derrick did WAY more than measure. He evaluated, noted, and explained exactly what/how would happen before and after the foaming. He even pointed out other issues in my attic, just so I would be aware, and as a courtesy. So, in closing, if you really want to know what's going on with your attic and how spray foam will change the quality of your life, this should be a no-brainer folks!!! I am so glad I spent the money. It's been 1 day since sunlight completed the work and I'm literally CHILLY in the hottest room of my house...the AC hasn't run in hours. Worth noting is that Sunlight was VERY competitive with the pricing as well. I am excited for a cool summer!!!! ALSO, do NOT be concerned about an odor....the "odor" smelled like fresh latex paint for 24 hours, I barely noticed it at all. Plus, Corey uses an air freshening spray to help control it until it dissipates shortly thereafter.

Great experience getting a quote for attic foam insulation. The wealth of information they have can be overwhelming but it builds confidence that I was dealing with a well a certified and knowledgeable organization with excellent training and experience. The certifications and licenses they hold are fantastic and I loved that their license numbers were on the quote. It is so easy to look up a contractor with the state and check the validity of their licenses.

Alan Carr with Dr.Energy Saver Home Services gave us a proposal to spray foam on the roof and walls of our attic. We did our due diligence and received two other estimates. Alan’s proposal was the least expensive and he seems to be more knowledgeable about the product than the other two companies sales representatives. So we decided to go with Dr. Energy Saver. The team installing the foam were very professional. After installation we noticed an immediate improvement in the house environment and our air conditioner not running as much. The temperature in the attic has never gone beyond 80 degrees in the hottest part of the summer and not lower than 65 degrees in the winter months. We are 100% satisfy.

Ira was very professional and honest. He kept his original price for our open cell attic foaming even though we decided 5 months later to proceed. Corey and his installation team was on time, very cordial and answered all our questions. After they completed and the attic had time to vent, I went up to review the job and unfortunately not all the insulation was repositioned no garbage was left. After speaking to Ira, he apologized and immediately sent someone the next morning to complete the job in its entirety. Even with this small issue , I would very proudly recommend Sunlight for any future open cell attic foaming work.

?I hired Sunlight Contractors to insulate an attic of a historic commercial building. Sunlight Contractors ?have ?a ?clear understanding of ?building science based concept of how to properly insulate?. From the beginning, they ??includedas a part of their scope to air seal the attic and dam around the attic stairs in order. The company was interactive throughout the process, allowing my co-workers to view the work at each stage and communicated when the contractors would be on site and the process. I would hire Sunlight Contractors again.

They did both our attic and subfloor insulation (7000 sqft) and made an impressive difference with temp and noise cancellation. AC barely runs anymore because the house keeps cool on its own. Also, we live next to a very busy street so its great to finally have a quiet, comfortable home. Staff/crew was very professional, cleaned up well, and took the time to address all our concerns. Would highly recommend!

This review is about my experience dealing with Sunlight Contractors as well as the quality of the installation services rendered. I will update and/or add another review at a later time after I've had time to assess the impact of the foam that was installed. After contemplating having spray foam installed in my attic for over two years and getting quotes from three other companies, I finally decided to pull the trigger on the project, and I chose Sunlight because they were the most professional, easiest to interact with, and seemed to genuinely care about me as the customer and giving me the best customer service experience and spray foam possible. In fact, I waited almost five months after first contacting Sunlight to finally scheduled the job. During that time, Corey or Ira responded to several of my questions/concerns in a very timely manner, and remained very patient with me and never tried to hard sell me on getting the foam. Once I finally scheduled the project, Corey and his team came out exactly on time, set up, did the blower door test, and gave me a quick run down of what would happen next. They told me they'd call me when they were close to being done so I could come back and inspect the job. Again, exactly as planned Ira called me to tell me they'd be finishing in about 30 minutes, so I went home to meet Corey. He told me the results of the after blower door test, and we did a quick visual inspection of the attic, which looked great. I had previously mentioned that my wife has asthma, and so he ran the ventilation for longer than normal to help minimize the smell, which was fairly minimal and to be expected. Ira also offered to come the next day to run the blower if needed. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Sunlight, and expect that I will see a substantial difference in our comfort and bills during the hot summer months.

I'm still loving my insulation, a year later! I don't think I've had an energy bill over $60 during any month in the last year (often half that), which is incredible because my tenant who lives on the other side told me that before the insulation, summer AC energy bills were in the hundreds. When I was considering insulation companies last year, Sunlight was the most responsive, flexible, and well-informed. I'm so glad I made the choice to go with them!

Sunlight just wrapped up my insulation today. There was a little confusion about the measurements, but they were open and transparent about it. The end result was great! They were the most thorough which is why I went with them.

Sunlight was very prompt and professional. They even worked with me to get the price down. They show up when they promise and complete all work in one pass, even allowing inspection by homeowner before packing up.

They installed roughly 1100 sq. ft. of open cell spray foam insulation in my attic. Communication with them was easy by email or phone. they were very responsive. They came out to estimate the job and provided a quote the next day. We set up the appointment date and they were there exactly when they said they would be to start the work and they finished after a few hours when they said they would. They left the house clean and provided the blower door tests, before and after, the same day. I would recommend this company to anyone and would hire them again for future work.

The Sunlight Contractors team did a fantastic job applying closed cell foam under our floor and open cell foam in our attic. Since the job's completion, the difference in temperature, especially on our upper level, has been remarkable and the team was a joy to work with.
