They pick up my shipment...never delivered...now won't return my shipment even though they claim it is in their warehouse and hasn't left Tampa yet.
Shipment was picked up 3/30/30 paid 75% up front.
No delivery...not returning shipped items to pick up destination either. Not returning calls or emails

Desired Outcome

Want return of unshipped freight asap

Company charged over 1K over the onsite estimate, damaged all my stuff, broke all my TVs. I opened a Claim to their insurance, Claim organization (CSI) said AlpineVanLines (SunriseVanLines) is not picking up the phone nor replying to emails. I had no other option to open a claim to the DOT.

Moving company took 2 months to deliver my household belongings from Fl to Ca and my belongings were either missing and or damaged.
I was contacted by this company on December 9th 2019 after I had place my business with another company. The sales Rep Chris quoted me a lower price of $1200 and made promises of better delivery times and that they would load and unload the truck at no additional cost. So I cancelled with the other company and went with this company which started the nightmare I am now in. This company Sunrise Van Lines out of Lutz, FL did not delivery on the agreed delivery date of December 30th and when I called them around Jan. 6th 2020 the owner Ron was very rude and told me that I was not told nor promised what I was telling him even though I have a contract that states otherwise. When I asked him to give me a time frame as to when I could expect my belongings he said, " No, I cannot tellyou when. This is not how it works. Your stuff is not that much and I do not know when we will have a truck with that little of space." I was shocked and replied that I purchased and existing space already and per Andrew that picked up my belongings stated that your truck driver did not show up and that I needed to contact you to see when you will deliver. He told me that was not true and he would callme when he knew more. After a period of two weeks and I had not heard from them I began calling again and my brother in law that lives in Tampa began calling for me also as to provoke a reponse so someone would call me. Finally THe owner Ron started texting and communicating with my brother in law but would not call me except when prompted by my brother in law to do so. He would just call and tell me he did not know when I would get my belongings. On Feb 3rd my brother in law received a call that my belongings should arrive that Thurs or Friday (Feb 6th or 7th) those days came an went with no one contacting me. I called Ron and asked again and he said the driver would call me. The driver called me on Friday and told me that he would be here on Monday Feb 10th at 2pm he did not arrive however did text that he would be here at 3pm. He arrived at 3:30 pm and unloaded what was suppose to be my belongings. Some were and some were not. Allof my belongings have orange stickers with a lot number of XXXXXX that had piece numbers on them. I am missing 5 of my huge black containers with yellow lids, a clear mint green container, a smaller clear container with hotpink clasps, and an amazon box container my brand new instaPot that my sister just gave me for Christmas :O(.. My mother has just passed *** recently and alot of these Items were from my mother that were family treasures and possibly extremely valuble. I haven't even mentioned that some of the items received were damaged due to water or some liquid that my items were exposed to. The three boxes I have that are not mine have a lot number of XXXXXX

Desired Outcome

I would like to get a refund, delivery of my items, to pick up the items that are not mine and to see this companies business license revoked.

When the delivery was made the pickup driver placed blue stickers and when I recieved my stuff some had pink stickers and I was missing my stuff
My mdse was to have only blue stickers but some boxes had 2 blue stickers on it. The pink stickers were not my stuff someone got my stuff

Desired Outcome

I want my stuff and i want to return whats not mine

I am missing 2 boxes and the charger for my vacuum cleaner. Have called the movers several times and getting the run around.
I am missing the charger to my vacuum plus 2 boxes and I'm not getting any help from this company. Adam told me to talk to Jack, that he would call him and have Jack call me. That was over a week ago. Never heard from Jack. They don't call back.

Desired Outcome

I would like to receive compensation for my shark navigator cordless vacuum. And my items such as a service for 12 stainless steel cutlery set that was in one of those boxes.

When you're moving quite a long distance, even to the neighboring state, it's very difficult to find quality help. I've used Sunrise van lines twice now, once for me and once for my uncle. It was a blessing to find some people that actually care about safely delivery someone else's valuables. They deliver cross country offering very competitive rates for the amazing quality of their services. Thanks to the movers who gave us a hand with some very fragile sculptures! They went the extra mile to make sure things went smoothly.

Thank you

I booked another moving company but they cancelled my appointment a day before my move due to some scheduling issues. Thankfully Sunrise van lines could fit me in and they really saved me. At first, I was doubtful if the movers would be skilled and careful with my belongings but they were very good as it turned out. I will recommend them to anyone. The guys showed up on time and they were well prepared. They were really trying to provide me with a stress-free move. I don't know what I would have done without these guys.

Thank you

I can't even begin tell you how happy my husband and I were with Sunrise van lines. They were so helpful and easy to work with. I really appreciated the not to exceed price given right at the beginning, this put my mind at ease. We ended up paying less than they originally quoted us as well :) Always a pleasant surprise. The crew was extremely friendly and professional. Everything was wrapped disassembled and reassemble well at our new place. They even stopped by my parent's house to pick up some stuff we had been storing in their garage. We lost nothing in our move and everything made it to the new place looking just as it had before. I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone.

Sunrise Van Lines Response • Nov 13, 2019

Thank you

I called Sunrise van lines and they came up with a quote within a few minutes. My previous move was a really bad experience in the hands of some unprofessional movers. These guys promised to be different though. Indeed, they conducted the relocation flawlessly and didn't leave any glitches anywhere. They were punctual, respected our agreement and fulfilled their part of the contract. I did not feel overcharged at all. I would suggest them to everyone I know.

Sunrise Van Lines Response • Nov 08, 2019

Thank you

I was quite scared having to move all the way across the country. I hired Sunrise van lines because they were highly recommended by a friend. Thank god I hired them! They made my move so simple. I just called them, got a quote and provided the details. They took care of everything else. The movers arrived early. They packed everything carefully and loaded them to the truck. They delivered every piece of my belongings in original condition. It was a very successful relocation and these guys proved that distance is no big deal to them.

Honestly if I could give this company 0 stars I would. I am an experienced mover. I have moved across country several times, and have used several moving companies. Lets start from the beginning. I got an amazing quote from sunrise van lines that almost did not seem real. That should have been my first inkling that something was wrong. They said they gave me a discount for being in the medical field (I'm sure that is what they tell everyone). We arranged a date for the movers to come pick up my things. I did not hear from them until the morning of when they called and said they would be there in 20 minutes. I was under the impression and understanding of the manager Chris that I booked with that they would call me the day before to give me a time reference so I could be home. Not a big deal right, okay so they came in looked at everything and then said that the manager didn't know what he was talking about and that they were going to charge me an extra 1000. Honestly I kind of expected something like this based on the original price, so after talking to Chris on the phone, the movers and I agreed that I would pay an extra 500 due to the increased amount of materials they needed to move. No big deal again, I just wanted to get the things moved before I started my new job. They hastily moved my belongings and were extremely pleasant, not one thing bad to say about the 3 man moving team, in fact I give them praise for being so accommodating even in the hot weather in FL. Chris had told me that it would be between 2-7 business days until my things would arrive in MA (which worked out perfectly with my schedule). After the 10th business day of not seeing my items and calling the dispatch office with no reply I began to get nervous. I called every single day for a week without any call back or reply. Finally on the 15th business day that this company had my items, someone called to tell me that they would be dropping off my shipment in 2 hours. At this time I had already started my job and was in training. No way could I take off time. The driver (who called) said there was no other way and they would be there in 2 hours, if I did not comply I would be charged. I called the customer service manager who apologized but said the latest they could drop it off would be the next day at 8am. I would not be charged but I had to take off a day from work for the movers to drop off my items. I lost a large amount of wages for that day which I was not reimbursed for or given any sort of rational for why my items were so incredibly delayed. My mother and I met the movers at the truck to move the items into the storage unit I had purchased. Box after box that the movers brought into the storage unit were destroyed. I was beside myself. Here I had paid them 3k to move my items that I wrapped and boxed up so delicate and carefully as I had the 10 other times I've moved across state lines, and they looked horrible. Each box had dents, each box was wet and had oil stains, opened boxes, crushed boxes, boxes with no bottoms. Why were my items wet I asked? It wasn't raining on the pick up or the drop off date. I don't know the driver said, he had no answers for me on what to do. As I opened the boxes, the stench of rotting molded cardboard and picture frames wafted out. I had carefully wrapped my all white couches with cling wrap purchased from home depot for a pretty penny. The cling wrap was no where to be seen, the feet off the couches were missing, the brackets that hold the feet on the couches were missing. The movers had no answers for where they could be, and I had not removed them prior to wrapping them tight. Several of the feet off the metal bedframe were missing, the box spring was cracked in half and had been ripped to shreds. They actually had the nerve to try to sneak behind my back and place a beautiful white bookcase in the corner of the storage unit that had been literally broken into 4 different pieces, wood cracked in half. They dropped my coffee table and two other tables off without the tops even on them, reclaimed rustic wood gone. They brought me a box with the tops in 1000 pieces and just looked at me. Not even an "I'm sorry." Pictures inside the boxes of me as a child with my parents, memories I would never get back, molded and water stained. My mahogany bed set that was my first real adult purchase that I spent thousands on was water stained, dented and scratched despite being wrapped carefully with blankets, bubble wrap and towels. Books from collage that cost hundreds of dollars were breaking out of the bottoms of boxes just dripping wet, Oil stains splattered across my possessions like they were nothing. I might have been okay if I was offered an apology, bad weather, poor moving or given some rational. I had to throw away things that I had moved 10 times before with no issue, that were beyond repair. Baskets with mold growing in the crevasses from being soaked for so long. Picture frames broken. No reimbursement was given for any of my items and they demanded I pay them before they left. They tried to leave ALL OF THE TRASH OUTSIDE OF THE STORAGE UNIT FOR ME TO DISGUARD. Then the fallowing day tried to call and tell me that I didn't pay them! I called every day for a month before someone gave me the claim information. I called every day for a month after that to get them to send me the "bill of lading" that I needed to fill out the claims information. I have called every single week for the last 3 months to follow up without even a call back. I am disgusted and horrified. My disgust does not come so much from the THOUSANDS of dollars I lost from this company moving my items, the hours upon hours I have spent calling, and changing my schedule around to meet their needs, the irreplaceable items that were lost in this move without consideration; no the disgust comes from lack of respect. Does this company have no respect for anyone's time, money or feelings about their possessions. The fact that I have countless pictures of my dad and I from when I was a baby that are now molded over and ruined forever and not even an apology was offered in return for my troubles. No apology for the time I had to take off, the way that they spoke to me on the phone when they told me I did not pay them the total (which was indeed paid in full), trying to sneak my broken items behind my back like I wouldn't notice, or the time that I've had to put into replacing and repairing my damaged items. The lack of respect they have for me as a customer was DISGUSTING. If this company is still in business by 2020 I will be reporting them to the Revdex.com. DO NOT allow them to talk you into taking their "200 dollars off" because in the end it will cost you more than just the $8,000 that it has cost me, it will cost you your sanity.

1 Star is 10 too many!
45 days to arrive in ARKANSAS from Florida? Yep! All furniture items made of wood gouged, split, ruined? Yep! LIES from the salesman, Chris1, through customer service, Jack, through dispatch, Ron, through a driver, Sy? yep, yep, yep, and yep! A tv/electric fireplace console un-crated while in storage? Yep. Attempted to be put together, but failed? Why do this? To steal it? Yep!
Yep. Arrived uncreated, busted? Yep! Two elderly people living 45 days days on the floor in Walmart air beds? Paper plates...buy towels, housewares, etc...Yep. NEVER deal with Alpine, Sunrise, or their family-owned claim's service unless you want to age 20 years in a month, or admire LIARS and CHEATS.

sorry about it
please go to CSIPROS.ORG to open a claim

Great experience with these movers! The three guys showed up on time, happy,
and ready to work. 1 was the main guy, and he was friendly and kind to us. They
worked hard to finish my move in less than the quoted amount and were careful but very efficient with my belongings. I would use them again in a heartbeat and have referred them to friends already!

Sunrise Van Lines Response • Oct 02, 2019

thank you so much for the good feedback

I was told I would have my stuff delivered in 10 days from when they picked it up and delivered. It's been over 28 days. No one will call me back!!
I've called this company numerous times and no answer no one will call me back I finally got a hold of the owner and he screamed at me on the phone and said they had 28 days to deliver and it's past 28days I call and no answers or calls me back and no one will tell me where my stuff is at. I'm really frustrated and really want my belongings. This is the most unprofessional company I've dealt with in my life and it is horrible.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund or the remaining balance waived!

Furniture not moved and delivered from N.Ft. Myers to Pendleton IN when promised. Still hasn't arrived.
Sunrise Van Lines picked up our furniture on August 16,2019 in North Fort Myers, FL. After our furniture was loaded on the truck, they told us that it would cost almost $2000 more than the estimate. They told us our furniture would be delivered close to our timeline of August 26, 2019 to Pendleton, Indiana. Our furniture has still not been delivered as of September 16, 2019. They have used many excuses and told us many lies about the delivery. We have occurred many expenses because of their untruths including cost of staying in a hotel and airline ticket costs which we were unable to use.

Desired Outcome

We want our furniture delivered NOW!

Customer Response • Oct 07, 2019

furniture was finally delivered on September 30. This was a very stressful move because the companies involved would not communicate with us. And the rare times that they would, they would tell us lies about when our belongings would be delivered. We thought our items had been stolen since it took so long to deliver them. This company should definitely receive grade of "F" from the Revdex.com.

So much more than just a customer service issue
Good Afternoon,

I recently hired Sunrise Van Lines for my cross country move. The sales person I spoke with Chris whom was my sales person. When I spoke to him he informed me that it would take about 7 to 10 days for them to deliver my items once they had been picked up. The day before my move someone finally calls me back to let me know that they would be picking up my items between 11 am and 1 pm on September 5th. On September 5th I receive a phone call that the driver is ill and that they need to get some guys from Miami to pick up my items but that they will not be there until 6 pm. I a little upset by this but said ok fine (because at that point what was I going to do.) I had planned on hitting the road as soon as I got home from work on the 5th which would have been roughly 5 pm, but I had to wait for Sunrise. They did not show up until well after 6pm, I did not complain. They started loading my items and I informed them that I had a few extra things I wanted them to take for me, a wood trunk, a chair and a BBQ Grill. They charged me an additional $250 for those items, the grill being the most expensive since they cannot stack anything on top of it. I was perfectly fine with that and agreed to the extra money. Well they forgot my grill, my sister called to let me know that it was still in the back yard after they left. For a week I have been trying to get a hold of them, leaving messages on their voice mail every day and they had not responded to any of my calls until I called the dispatch line instead. I finally got a call back today, from a very rude man I believe to be the owner. I was trying to explain my situation and ask questions as too when my items would arrive. At which point he informed me that it could take up to 21 days to arrive, I of course was became upset by this since I was told it would only take 7 to 10 days. Per the owner I signed a contract stating the 21 days I have attached the only documentation that I signed prior to them coming to pick my things up. On there you will notice that it does not state a time frame at all... so I would like to know what contract I signed then that states that it would take 21 days. When I tried to discuss this with the owner he continued to interrupt and talk over me, ( I am a customer service trainer for a corporate company therefore I know this is completely unacceptable.) Whenever I tried to talk the owner just became more aggressive and continued to cut me off and talk over me to the point where we both were yelling at each other. I informed him that I would be reaching out to you and to the Revdex.com and he stated that he would sue me like he has done many times before. Now I do not know if there is anything you can do but I have read the reviews on this company (sadly after I had already booked them and paid a deposit) but they have done similar things to many other people. I think an investigation would be a great at idea if for nothing else but to warn people from using this horrible company. I swear I have never had to do anything like this before, but I moved from Phoenix for work and I am so stressed about all this that it is now affecting my performance. I have attached a copy of the original estimate which is what the owner states I signed that says that the delivery time could be up to 21 days. At this point I still do not know when I can expect my items to be here since he would not stop talking over me and I was not able to the information out of him. He was extremely rude, nasty and condescending. I believe that he is middle eastern and he feels that he can speak to women however he feels like it and that we as females should not have an opinion.

Thank you so much for any help you could provide.

Desired Outcome

I would like my items to be delivered asap and I would also like a refund for the grill that they did not take as well as a nice discount for the inconvenience of them being late to pick up my items in the first place. I would also like it to be public knowledge that this company is not to be trusted!

Customer Response • Sep 27, 2019

They delivered my items late on the 24th. They gave only gave me a $50 discount for the grill that they forgot to take. But it was left behind and was a $200 dallor grill! They also did not discount anything for being late to pick up my furniture and late delivering it. Then they would only take cash at the delivery! They also sent only one man to unload everything so of course it took 3 hours for him to unload all my belongings. Boxes that clearly said fragile were all smashed up and many of my items arrived broken!

A promotion required I move to NYC immediately. I contracted Sunrise Van Lines to do my move. The crew came on time, clean and uniformed. They worked organized and efficiently. There were some things in my haste I forgot to mention in my inventory, so the initial quote went up and was explained to me by the crew chief. All the furniture was pad wrapped and loaded on the truck in a matter of hours. The delivery came off without a hitch, furniture placed where I asked while another crew member assembled the beds. I hope not to have to move again, but should the need arise I will surely call Sunrise Van Lines again.

Thank you

Items were loaded on 6/25. We were guaranteed delivery per contract within 21

We hired Sunrise Van Lines to move our belongings from Florida to California.
Items were loaded on 6/25. We were guaranteed delivery per contract within 21
business days of 7/1. Not only has the deadline expired, but they have been
unresponsive. To date, our belongings have not been delivered and I have no
idea when (or if) they will arrive.

Owners Chris and Yalon have been zero help and extremely unprofessional, we have paid half the total estimate upfront and supposed to pay the other half when our belongings are delivered.

Desired Outcome

Delivery within 5 days or total reimbursement for the move and for our belongings.

I hired this moving service to deliver household goods to CA. They picked up on 4/28/19 and still have not delivered the goods.
I hired Sunrise Van Lines to move my household goods from Dunedin, Florida to San Francisco, California. The goods were picked up on April 28, 2019 and the first available date for delivery was established as May 14, 2019. It is now 10 weeks past that date. I have called the company numerous times. When I am able to get someone on the phone, I have been promised three times that someone will get back to me within 24 hours. They NEVER get back to me. The last three times I've called, no one has picked up and I have left messages, to no avail. I am extremely distressed about this matter. I was charged $1369.43 for the move. The shipment included a number of highly personal items that I am forwarding to my brother after the death of our father. These are items, like antiques, that cannot be replaced.

Desired Outcome

I want my goods delivered as soon as possible. Additionally I think I should receive a discount, but at this point I just want my things.

Customer Response • Sep 03, 2019

I wanted to let you know that tonight my brother finally was able to get his goods out of the storage facility. This has been a very negative experience all the way around, but I am glad it is finished.

Delivery was to be July 3-4 by sales person. Packer said it would be the 5th. Today is the 21st and still no clothes or furniture.
David the sales person quoted me a price of $2900 and that delivery would be the 3-4th of July. Packer charged me over $4000 and told the July 5th for delivery. Manager told me to read my contract on the 5th when I called and that I needed to be patient I was in America. It is July 21 and I still have no clothes or furniture. I have called customer service with no return call. I spoke with David and he denied saying the 3-4th and stated he said 3-14 days. I called him again and he has not returned my call. The packer told me to call him for any problems instead of the office. When I did call he told me to call the office. The manager did say they needed a truck going to Minnesota to deliver my things. I moved from Florida to Kansas. On the 5th the customer service rep said that my truck was in Indiana and Illinoise and might receive my things on the 10th. I need my clothes and belongs to live and work.

Desired Outcome

I need my things delivered. I need anything replaced or reimbursed for if broken since it sounds like the truck with my belongings has been traveling around the country.
